Craving a chargrilled, juicy burger, I finally gave in to all the rave reviews about this spot--from friends, neighbors, and over 1,500 online recommendations. I called in a double bacon cheeseburger (with bacon, of course) and a second burger--a double cheeseburger with no mustard. Simple, right?
When I arrived, the place was busy but manageable for a Saturday night. What threw me off immediately was the greeting--or lack of one. Instead of a friendly "Hi, how can I help you?" I got hit with "What's up." Twice. Call me old school, but that felt unprofessional and unwelcoming for a business that thrives on customer interaction.
Fast forward, I paid $22 and wasn't even asked if I wanted fries or a drink--missed opportunity, especially for an à la carte setup. I got home, excited to dig in, only to find one burger completely wrong--no bacon, no cheese, just mustard, lettuce, and extra pickles. The second burger had cheese, but both were bland and flavorless, with no redeeming qualities. Even the mustard and pickles couldn't save it.
Between the poor greeting, lack of upselling, and flavorless, incorrect burgers, this was a disappointing first visit. I might try them again in the future, but they have a lot of work to do when it comes to customer service and quality control.
