Our first visit to Ronnie’s and we came away with good first impressions. There’s room for improvement, but I got the feeling they were keen to hear feedback and take suggestions on board.
In summary: I think they should lean more into the NYC dining theme to set it apart from other better priced places in London.

We had a brunch reservation, and the waiting staff were quick to take care of us and seat us at our table.
Ronnie’s promises NYC style dining so we went for the American Breakfast and Bacon, Egg, and Cheese Sandwich, with a side of fries. Originally we were hoping to try the brisket sandwich we’d seen online, but strangely that’s only on the dinner menu.
With the American Breakfast you have a choice of eggs, and I’d recommend picking scrambled – they were buttery smooth and perfectly cooked. The hash browns were also a highlight – just the right amount of crunch on the outside, and soft on the inside. Sausages were a bit too small, and we needed to ask for butter for the toast.
The BEC sandwich comes on an American-style biscuit, which for us Brits is basically a large scone. It was a nice change from the usual brioche bun, and I’d visit again just to have it. It comes with two spicy dunking dips.
The fries are actually what you’d expect to see called chunky chips elsewhere. They were cooked well but I was hoping for the more NY style thin cut french fries.
For drinks we went with a Bloody Mary (not on the menu but they made one for us and it was delicious) and the Rose Espresso Martini (the rose flavour won’t be to everyone’s taste so I’d probably leave it out in the future). What lets the drinks down is the price. At £20-23 you’re paying a good £5 more than elsewhere in London, with nothing special setting them apart to justify the price.
