"The Pantechnicon is the sort of building you’d expect to be a huge movie set. But no, this grand building with huge columns and PANTECHNICON written in all caps at the top, is very real. And Eldr, the roof garden and terrace on the fourth floor—with all its foliage, light wood, and glass ceilings—where you’ll find a Nordic cocktail menu, as well as a food menu of smørrebrød, small plates with things like scallop, courgette, reindeer, and sea lettuce, and big plates with things like melt-in-the-mouth cod with spiced cauliflower and sea purslane. It’s the perfect, hidden rooftop for a date, or an intimate catch-up." - Rianne Shlebak

"The Pantechnicon is the sort of building that you expect to walk into only to discover it’s actually just a huge movie set. But no, this grand building with huge columns and PANTECHNICON written in all caps at the top, is very real. With a mixture of Nordic and Japanese inspiration, this huge building has a charming cafe on the ground floor, a shop on the floor above, a Japanese restaurant called Sachi, a Nordic restaurant called Eldr and a rooftop terrace serving Nordic cocktails. photo credit: Giulia Verdinelli" - Rianne Shlebak

We had a really nice time at the Roof Garden. We only popped in for a drink. The wait staff was really friendly and professional. The wine I had was good. The old fashioned was also made correctly in my opinion. The lemon drink was incredible. The last drink I can’t remember the name was suuuuper smoky and no one really liked it unfortunately. Bathrooms were super nice. Drinks were expensive but the vibes and rooftop are lovely.

(Apr 16-Revised review 5x⭐️ : got a refund from the manager which wouldn’t expected from other places. Great experience and good management! will definitely recommend this place to friends:) Went for lunch on a Sunday afternoon, not busy. Lovely place, good food, drinks okay, nothing special. The waiters are friendly but charged us the water we didn’t order - Nordaq Fresh Water £3.5, we forgot to check the bills in details. Well, lesson learned, next time will be careful wherever we go then.

The restaurant is absolutely gorgeous, cozy and with an amazing atmosphere. We took a table at the terrace and it was perfect! The food was good, we had the crudo, some oysters, the burrata and the beef tartare, but the one that was extra and took my breath away was the lobster linguine! I gave 4 stars because the place was not crowded at all, there were just few tables and plenty of staff working, but nobody took our order or even offer water for 20 minutes.

The rooftop is the perfect location to have brunch on a sunny day. Just for the environment it would be worth visiting, but on top of that, the food is splendid. Even the simplest tomato salad has a little twist - every single dish was tasteful. I recommend going for the ones you wouldn’t get everywhere instead of the common scrambled eggs and trout. Portion sizes are quite small but if you prefer quality over quantity you should be pleased here. Would definitely recommend, and try the other restaurants and cafés in the building.

A-MA-ZING Food! Perfect flavour balance. I truly enjoyed every bite I have eaten here. If you like Scandinavian food with a twist, don’t miss this place!

Nice rooftop restaurant with a fantastic cocktail and wine menu. The menu was fairly typical, but what we ate was amazing. Their dessert menu was not available which would've been nice to find out before we sat down but I'd still go back.

Great ambiance, especially on a sunny day in the Roof Garden restaurant, with a retractable glass roof allowing fresh air. Friendly service, good food. Price on the high side, interesting Japan and Nordic fusion. Large drinks menu.

The Roof Garden is perfect for brunch on sunny days out. It’s not your typical brunch spot, with the food heavily inspired by Japanese flavors. We had the Crispy Pork Belly, which was a popular dish for sharing. I thought it was alright, but it was quite expensive for the amount of actual pork belly slices on the plate. The Mentaiko Spaghetti with Cornish crab and the Japanese Poached Eggs Benedict. Both were really good, but also a bit too expensive. Although they are definitely better value than the pork belly. I really liked the flavors of the Mentaiko Spaghetti and would highly recommend it if you love seafood as much as I do. I’m also a huge fan of eggs benedict and mushrooms, so I did like the Japanese poached eggs because the Wasabi Hollandaise really brought the dish together.
