Bartender Izler Thomas Created Signature Drinks for SF Neighborhoods for Modern Indian Restaurant Tiya | Eater SF

"He moved on to deepen his craft at a 150-year-old refurbished haveli in New Delhi under chef Sujan Sarkar and "star-tender" Annu Jha, working to enhance the bar program. There he refined competition-level cocktails and by 2019 represented the venue at the Campari Red Hands competition in Asia: his cocktail, Roots—a vibrant pairing of Campari, sweet vermouth, and watermelon soda—"won over the judges" and he became first runner-up. The achievement resonated personally: "When my mom saw my certificate, she had tears of pride and joy," Thomas says. The visibility that followed—friends and strangers tagging him online after the win—left him "mesmerized … like being in a new galaxy — and that was a fun thing." - Nandita Godbole

Fancy place with Qutub Minar view and very expensive and fancy food. The portions are very small and food is too fancy for our taste. An overrated and overpriced place with decent price. Mutton Chapli Kebab is very good, Pink Pasta is good. Andhra fried chicken is not great.

Excellent place for dinner. They have both indoor as well as outdoor (terrace) seating area. The outdoor terrace is highly recommended because of the ambience and the view of illuminated Qutab Minar at night. Food is absolutely delicious. Service is very prompt and the staff is extremely courteous. Highly recommended.

Prime location, gorgeous presentation, delicious in taste! The most of the menu is modern Indian. We had visited this place with family in winters and a party was going on the terrace; so, we were given the topmost floor but because it was really far from kitchen, the service was impacted. Otherwise, we love this place. Have been here multiple times and have always enjoyed the sunsets/ party time with stunning Qutub’s views. A must visit if in Delhi. :)

This is the first time I’m giving a two-star rating to Rooh Mehrauli — my previous one-star experience was with a bakery, but unfortunately, Rooh comes close. The place looks stunning, no doubt. If you're into social media, the ambiance is picture-perfect and ideal for that Instagram post. But if you're a food lover, be prepared for disappointment. We ordered the Andhra chicken and mutton curry. The chicken had a strange, unpleasant smell, and the mutton curry was drenched in red food coloring — enough to stain your mouth and tissues. It felt more like a photo-op than a proper meal. Come here to click some nice pictures, but skip the food if you care about flavor and quality.

Rooh Café was a letdown. The food and service were far below expectations. We ordered a few starters and were so disappointed that we didn’t bother with the main course. The drinks were the only saving grace. If you just want to spend money for the view and click pictures with Qutub Minar in the background, then maybe it’s worth a visit. Otherwise, skip it and enjoy Delhi’s street food instead—you’ll have a far better experience

Loved everything about the place. The ambience is brilliant. The view of the Qutub is mesmerising, especially at night. Seating is nice and comfortable. Service is prompt. They keep you updated on the preparation of your food. In case an item takes time, they inform before hand. Every dish we tried, we liked it. What astonished us were the Desserts! Intricately decorated with beautiful and balanced taste. I love love loved the Gnocchi. I had been searching for a proper taste and I got it here. Will definitely visit for Gnocchi soon.

Oh my god, the food here is absolutely mind-blowing — and even that feels like an understatement. The quantity is just as impressive as the quality. We tried the raw papaya and fig galauti, the mushroom kulcha, and the aamras tres leches, and every single dish was droolworthy. We also had the chance to meet the owner, and it was a pleasure speaking with him. The staff reflect the same warm and helpful attitude, making the experience even better. The interior seating is minimalist and uniquely styled, while the outdoor terrace offers a beautiful view of the Qutub Minar. This restaurant truly took our breath away.

The good - beautiful view of Qutab especially from the upper floor. The average - taste and sitting. Is usually crowded so make reservations before hand. The bad - service is very slow, portion side too small. Ordered - jackfruit Taco and cashew cake
