Rook Coffee

I usually love rook and look forward to getting it but the past two times that I've ordered my coffee with more sweetener, it has no sweetness at all. Doesn't even taste like vanilla style. I love rook tho but getting the same mistake twice is disappointing.

In New Jersey for the weekend had to stop for coffee at Rook coffee. Cold brew mocha style so good. Picked up a couple of bags of Sumatra dark roast.

Intense experience. (Especially before coffee). A New Orleans local likes the New Orleans style coffee, she says get regular milk. I don’t like their vanilla, it is the French style flavor different from a vanilla bean. First time here…. Would come again but skip flavor.

First visit ever. The coffee was really excellent. However I am an espresso drinker in the morning and was truly disappointed they could not pull a doppio. The other thing that surprised me was the lack of any seats, inside or out. They clearly don't want you "hanging out" and which basically makes this a call ahead for your chilled coffee kind of place, which is just not my vibe. The place was busy in a Friday morning so clearly the model works for them.

Wonderful coffee and even better service! I usually frequent the Manalapan, Oakhurst, or Red Bank locations, but wow do I love this location @ Point Pleasant. So spacious. Be sure to check out their seasonal flavors!

This is my far my favorite rook. I walked in this morning and they were SWAMPED with orders and the team behind the counter cleared out the line within 10 min. I was super impressed at how they organized the line and got everything done even with the place being packed. They cleared it out and got everyone settled while still being so incredibly kind. I love this rook

Some seriously, great coffee, no frills. And don't sleep on the pastries honestly, the everything croissant with cream cheese inside is one of my favorite snacks! They are very spot spots all over the jersey shore definitely worth checking out

Good coffee, terrible service in a disorganized, inefficient setup. If you are friends with the staff you are a VIP, but if not then you are an inconvenience. I thought it maybe was just me, but seeing the reviews it's clearly not. Have been to multiple other locations where I feel welcomed and appreciated; definitely not the vibe here at my home location.

Rook has the best coffee in New jersey! The service is always so fast & friendly, sometimes they even draw a little smiley face or hearts on the cup! The ambiance of Rook is cool, & simplistic, very trendy right now, but that will never go out of style!

I get the hype...solid coffee, great atmosphere and positive staff. It's a win all around. Sometimes it's hard going somewhere for the first time, especially when ordering at a busy spot. When the barista asked "with what" after we ordered, we were a bit surprised. Where I get cold brew in Charlotte, you just get the coffee and then doctor it yourself afterwards. The girl shared all the different creamer options as well as sugar, and gave her personal recommendation for each cold brew we got. She was super helpful, and I really appreciated it. I went for the small batch flavor, which was vanilla cinnamon, and it was delicious - rich with a hint of spice. The hubs got the mocha cold brew and that had a light chocolate taste that was extremely smooth. I gotta say, it was worth the trip from Toms River up to Point to get this cold brew and will certainly make it a routine when we come back to visit the parents.

Counter staff very inattentive. For $35 worth of coffee this am they shouldn't turn their back on you.

I was in Manasquan for a weekend with friends and before my drive back home, I asked them for recommendations for coffee. They raved about Rook and it didn't take much convincing after they described their cold brew flavorings and the fact that they're perfectly good on their own without sweetener or milk. My boyfriend and I ended up ordering the mocha and cinnamon vanilla cold brews with less almond milk. The app said the Wall location was closed despite being open and when we called, they informed us that their app tends to crash when they have a high volume of orders. They told us to try again in 10-15 minutes. Instead of waiting, my friends told me they've driven over to this Point Pleasant location just to get their Rook fix. Due to COVID, they still don't allow anyone inside, but seem to be efficient with orders on the app. The line of people waiting for their orders and my first sip were proof enough: this coffee does not disappoint! The cinnamon vanilla was definitely a winner and I can't wait to try their New Orleans style next. My boyfriend loved it so much he ordered 3 bags of coffee to french press at home. This is definitely going to be a necessary stop whenever I need to be revived after a weekend at the beach.

I have been enjoying Rook for a few years now . It's the best quality / best tasting coffee from a cafe chain ... hands down .. The location I n point pleasant is very adequately staffed . Always a quick experience . I like this point pleasant location better than the one in sea girt . My question is are there any drive-thru rooks anywhere ? That would be cool .

My work travels in October finally brought me to Rook! I love coffee and all of my coffee-loving friends told me I would love Rook. Not to mention, their infamous Pumpkin Cold Brew was in season. Anyone that knows me, knows I LOVE anything Pumpkin: coffee, pie, candles, you name it. So naturally, I went in with my eyes on the pumpkin cold brew and it did NOT disappoint. Best part for me was that the pumpkin flavor was just enough that I needed no other sweetener. Mind you, I typically need to stick a splenda or something in to get that sweetness I like in my coffee, but not in this case. It was perfect with a splash of skim milk that I asked. Worth the higher price point because the coffee is delicious and the service was fantastic as well. Coffee fans need to make sure they drop in.

Stopped in for a New Orleans.Rooks cold brew never disappoints. However the custom service definitely did. It seems like if you don't mobile order or are friends with the employees you don't exist. Disappointed.

First I'm going to say this. Rook is amazing. It's high quality delicious coffee. Cold brew is on point. Staff is friendly. Store is clean. All the good things. But the last 2 or 3 times at this location (my regular is Wall) my cold brew was awful. Un drinkable actually. Now I've been drinking rook for over 7 years. I know how it's supposed to taste. I order it the same every time. I'm not sure if something changed due to the overwhelming app orders and in store orders but something shifted in the quality of the product. Not something that will deter me from going, but definitely somethings up.

Hmmm ok I was waiting at the counter and they kept looking past me and helping the people behind me and THEN IM LIKE HEYYY finally got helped and my coffee was right there the whole time but they didn't know anyway tastes good 10/10 but experience 3/10 still better than the wall one tho

The coffee is not drinkable it has a watery and tart taste to it . It use to be good in red bank location

Rook coffee is so bomb diggy! There New Orleans style coffee is so good! I love the beans they use here. The aroma and taste are soft and medium. I came here during COVID-19. They have an app where you can order your drinks. When you walk up to the door they hand off your drink.

The worst coffee at the jersey shore. The coffee itself isn't bad but horrible customer service and they don't respect their customers. Much better taking your business elsewhere since they don't care about you of your coffee

Rook may be a little on the pricier side, but in my opinion it's worth every penny. Fresh coffee that you can really taste, seasonal flavors, and super friendly staff! The first time I went in a few weeks ago, I had no clue what I was ordering. The barista was so kind and helpful, even though the line was super long. This is my go-to spot and there's never a line on my way to work at 6:30am :)

My absolute favorite coffee place! Such a good flavor without any of the artificial flavors. I didn't understand all the hype at first but after my first visit, I totally got it! I also love the little stickers, reusable straws and other stuff they other. And the drawings on the cups- so cute and personalized!

Coffee is the best around, the cold brew and hot is jet fuel. Use the app and skip the lines. It's pretty easy to use.

How does one spell "love?" Why, "Rook," of course! Seriously, I am so thrilled that Rook opened up in Point Pleasant! I have only been to almost every location, some locations I've been to about 20x. This is my favorite one, after Little Oakhurst! Because they take so much pride in making each cup, lines can be long, but they are attentive and super friendly! As with with all Rook locations (sans for Little Oakhurst) there is a number you can text your order to so it's ready for when you arrive! The location is really roomy inside. It used to be a Dunkin', which used to be a sports store. I grew up in that town. So, it's pretty cool that it's now a spot I love to be at for amazing coffee. Try the bakery items-they are killer!

I never thought I'd care so much about how my coffee tasted until I had Rook coffee. Every flavor they make is so delicious and has no trace of artificial syrup taste. Ordering is quick and convenient plus you can text 6093803201 and order ahead of time. I bought a French press so I can buy Rook coffee beans to take home. They grind the beans in store based on your at-home coffee brewer. All other coffee has been ruined for me thanks to Rook.

P-A-T-R-Y-C-I-A, 100% Polish, 100% dedicated. One of the most helpful and cooperative managers this world has ever seen. Put a problem in her path and she will hurdle it. Put a wall in her path she will bust through it. All while satisfying the customer and Rook. Call me the hype man or don't call me at all, Patrycia rocks! And the coffee is solid too

Super sweet girl with the lip ring working the front counter was a life saver! Forgot my credit card inside and she ran outside to return it to me as I was still in the parking lot. Love the staff that goes above and beyond and of course the amazing coffee! Keep it up Rook!!

My favorite place to go for coffee! The quality of amazing, the people that work there are friendly and don't rush you and they give great suggestions as well.

Best rook out of all of them! This location is always quick and super friendly. My coffee is always made correctly and I'm greeted in a friendly way. I go to rook almost everyday whether it be Holmdel(close to my job), Wall, or freehold and point definitely has to be my favorite location. Thank you rook for making my day with your coffee!
