An iconic Cincinnati maker since 1880. Go behind the scenes in the working studio bordering the market to see clay become tiles and collectible ceramics.

My family enjoyed the tour of the Rookwood Pottery business. We saw the molds, the process they use, the variety of items they produce, and the glazes. Our tour guide was excellent.

I did a tour of Rookwood and also made a candle with their candle workshop. The tour was fascinating to see the behind the scenes of the factory and learning some history. The candle-making was alot of fun! You choose what color holder you want and can create your own scent with lots of essential oil options. This is a great fun thing to do with a group or even just yourself! Definitely recommend.

We attended the candle workshop. It was quick but really fun. When we arrived there was no signage to direct us but the “work” area isn’t that large so we found our way. After selecting the pot we wanted, you get to mix the scent and add any other decorative items. Then they pour the wax, that’s it. About an hour later you come back and pick it up.

In the past month I have received e-mails from Rookwood Pottery regarding the sale of limited edition hand thrown eggs and bunnies. The e-mails noted that the items would be on sale starting at 11:00 am on two separate Saturdays. On each occasion I logged into Rookwood's website at 10:55 am in preparation for the sale only to discover the egg and bunny my wife wanted were already sold prior to the 11:00 am start time. Apparently there is some super secret process through which select individuals can purchase items before the 11:00 am start time that Rookwood lists in their communications. Obviously Rookwood does not treat all customers the same. Talk about unethical and dishonest. Rookwood needs to place a disclaimer on their e-mails for such sales that the sale will start at 11:00 am unless you are a super sperical customer and then you can purchase the items before anyone else.

Near Findlay Market Rookwood Plottery's flagship store in OTR needs to be on your "must do" list. Whether you are considering tiles for a kitchen backsplash, a gift for someone, (or yourself) this iconic brand of pottery and accessories will have you struggling to decide which piece to purchase. But, there are more things than just pottery to catch your eye. There is a small parking lot next to the building that utilizes an app for payment.

Extremely disappointed in the shopping experience. I’m in the city and go to the store to buy in person but it’s EXCLUSIVELY ONLINE ONLY. That’s fine, a little backwards but fine. Disney goes the other way and only has exclusive stuff at their parks. The worse part is below. I had two items IN MY CART and when I went to checkout they were sold out from under me. Once they’re in the cart they shouldn’t be able to be taken out of your cart and put into someone else’s so they run out and buy. That wouldn’t happen to me in real life. Here's an idea...PUT A COUNTDOWN TIMER in the checkout saying "We are going to yank stuff out of your cart if you don't buy when this timer ends!" Instead you just have the wild west. Never shopping online with Rookwood with this type of experience. Unreal…unreal.

Signed up for a tour. Arrived early and bought a few items since I had to drive down from Dayton. Asked several times where to wait for tour. Front lady said to wait out here and the guy would come out. Asked again a few minutes after the time, same answer. 15 minutes after, I went inside further and found the tour already started. Guy is like they should take down that sign that said to wait out there. Wow!! So sorry. Returned all my items. Will NEVER, ever visit or recommend buying any of these items ever again. They did not care one bit.
