I stayed here for 6 nights in march 2025 and everything was great! The front desk was always very welcoming and helpful. House keeping was awesome. The WiFi was fast and reliable. The location of the hotel was great, a walkable distance to museums, shops and restaurants. The only drawbacks: 1. The shower stall door doesn’t seal fully at the bottom, causing water to leak out. 2. The nearby restaurants can be a bit noisy at times. 3. The hotel is not directly accessible by car and a bit of walk is required.

We absolutely loved this hotel! The bed was one of the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in, and the bathroom was spacious and beautifully appointed. I especially appreciated the thoughtful touches like the Dyson hairdryer, such a standout detail. The service was exceptional from start to finish; everyone we interacted with was warm, kind, and accommodating, making us feel very welcome. The location is also fantastic - walkable to many nearby sights, which is perfect if you’re visiting Madrid for the first time. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for an affordable, comfortable hotel with outstanding service.

My wife and I stayed at the Roommate Alba in Madrid for 7 days in late September 2025. What a great hotel and staff! We stayed in the 'penthouse', or top floor. Roomy and comfortable. Quiet too, with crazy windows that I suggest you get a tutorial from the staff on how to open before attempting it on your own. The breakfast was excellent as well, but the real advantage of this hotel is its location. It is on a pedestrian friendly street in one of the most vibrant and centrally located neighborhoods in the city. Ten minutes walking to Plaza Mayor and Puerta del Sol. Fifteen minutes to Retiro Park. The blue line (the one your most likely to make use of on the Metro) is 5 minutes walk away at the Anton Martin stop (next to a great market, by the way). And the neighborhood is full of great restaurants, bars, flamenco tablaos etc. Just walk out the door and you are there, in the middle of the action. You won't be disappointed in this hote.

Room Mate Alba has it all: comfortable beds, nice room, pretty good breakfast, unbeatable location. No complaints whatsoever.||And the highlight was Esther and Alicia, who are the absolute best. Our airline messed up our flights and caused a big headache but these two ladies are just total gems and truly took the bull by the horns for us and made call after call to try to get it sorted for us. I was so impressed. It's very very rare to see employees so willing to take ownership of an issue and then follow up and just be so helpful and lovely.||We would happily stay here next time we're in Madrid!

We loved this hotel. It was clean, comfortable and oh so quiet! The hotel itself is beautifully designed — modern, stylish, and full of charm, with thoughtful details that made the whole experience feel special.|Our room was spotless, quiet, and super comfortable, with a great bed and lovely amenities. The location is unbeatable — right in the heart of the city, within walking distance to major attractions, great restaurants, and vibrant neighborhoods like La Latina and Huertas. It’s also close to Brown Bear Bakery and Ambu Coffee. |For the price which was very reasonable- just book here - you won’t be sorry!!

Problems started at checkin, they were surprised we wanted a twin room, although this is what we booked and paid a considerable sum for. We were 'upgraded' to a twin room. Although I had requested in my booking a quiet room, this faced the busy street. Indeed the window blocks much noise from crowds outside but not revving motorbikes. Worse was the door between adjoining rooms, paper thin near bathroom of next door. We could hear everything. There is also a fridge mounted in a cupboard 2 inches from your pillow adding to the festival of noise. They refused to change rooms although twin rooms were on sale on several hotel booking sites. Did not sleep at all. The hotel us nicely decorated - stryle over substance. Will not be back. Would like money back in fact.

I stayed here for 9 nights and loved everything about the hotel. Everyone working there was very friendly, welcoming and efficient. The room was very quiet. The hotel is located in a central/perfect location. Breakfast was very good and available 7:00-12:00. From beginning to end, a wonderful stay.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel! The front desk team was lovely and professional, and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Our room was clean and fresh, and quite well soundproofed - we didn’t hear any noise from outside or from the other rooms. Location was also perfect, with lots of nice coffee shops, boutiques and restaurants to explore in the neighborhood. Definitely a place we’d love to stay in next time we visit Madrid!
