Roosevelt Apartments

Well after a little over 2 long grueling months the elevator is finally up and running again. If you Rushmore can continue to make progress like this just only faster maybe just maybe they'll start getting better tenant reviews and not having so many tenants looking to end their leases prematurely

This is probably the worst apartment building that I’ve lived in. First off, I want to acknowledge that Eduvige (building manager) does all that she can to be accommodating, another thing I want to acknowledge is that this apartment is very cheap (hundreds cheaper than neighboring buildings). I moved into a unit that wasn’t cleaned, and had to hire cleaners myself before I moved in. The building is generally unresponsive, no one answers the phone and there is no other way to get in contact with them unless you catch them in person by chance. The elevator is broken around 40% of the time and the lobby area is always dirty and has an odd smell. The water was off for two entire days in the winter, but the final straw was the mice that I found running through my unit. I ended up paying the lease breaking fee after just 6 months. Proceed with caution, I tried to save some money choosing housing and it came back to bite me. They need new management

Just ended a year's lease in a studio apartment here. My wife and I were looking for something that will have amenities (In building washing machine+dryers & gym) without a super high price and were looking through 9 other places at that time. We chose to sign a lease here due to the well planned space of the studio (and storage) and because it was on the 8th floor facing the south - giving great sunlight and view of Phili. I've had a great experience right from the start. In the day I moved I requested to change the oven and have some fixes (paint & holes fill) made in the bathroom I have not noticed before when I checked the apartment previously - the oven was changed and all the fixes were made the following day. It was easy to reach out and get the window unit (the portable air conditioner) installed and uninstalled, change lights and in the two times I had problems with the heating there always was someone there to take a look the next morning. Even though a studio is small we made it work for us and were able to have guests and family over (staying to sleep on air mattress) and we had a great place that felt very much like home Was really surprised from the low ratings here, guess everyone has their own personal story..

Talk about bang for your buck! I’ve lived here for two years now and the property manager Eduvidge has gone above to make sure I'm happy as a resident here! She does anything in her power to accommodate residents. I truly never want to leave!

Called in advance to schedule a showing for several studio apartments in the building … when I arrived (early I might add) no one was at the front agent or leasing office to let me in. By the time the showings were supposed to roll around the building was still empty of employees at the front desk and leasing office. I waited 20 minutes and called several times, no response. This does not give me confidence in the building having quality property management.

This building is a nightmare. Avoid at all costs. Elevators break down a few times every week. Key fob system goes down all the time. Hot water randomly disappears and takes up to a week to come back on. Pipes burst flooding the basement and cutting off water to the entire building. Cleaning is very sporadic and floors in elevator and lobby are often sticky. Garbage disposal is cumbersome and they dont allow us to use the back entrance, make us go through the gross basement (shared with a restaurant) to throw away trash. This is just the start of it. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!

This place definitely needs a lot of work related to maintenance. However, the staff does all they can, and will provide you all the help they cam. Especially Eduvige, shes really helpful and actually cares about the tenants!!!

I was without heat for two months this winter and maintenance was delayed on fixing my radiator. Now it's getting hot and it's impossible to turn OFF the heat (radiator dial does not work) and the apartment managers have been utterly unresponsive to multiple calls, emails, and maintenance requests. As others have said, the building has mice problems and maintenance has not fixed a broken front door for multiple weeks, resulting in random people walking into the lobby and stealing/opening mail and packages. Look elsewhere. Maintenance, please respond to requests!!
