Awesome place for food. Great selections of Beers Highly recommend to all to try.. If in town again will definitely come back.

I've been here several times. The service is good and their food is also good. I'm withholding five stars because they do NOT offer fries with their meals. A bar & grill that doesn't offer french fries? Come on, man! 🤣 I'll likely visit again since on balance this is a fun place especially for larger groups. Their covered outdoor area is great!

This is my go-to spot in the Rio Grande Valley. The food is fantastic and it’s a great place to hang with friends!

Great hang out spot and bar grub. They have a great selection of craft beer and we enjoyed our Christmas Eve with a live musician they had that night! He was a great addition to the night!

Pretty cool place for a lunch. I have had the pizza, chicken sub sandwich and the stuffed mushrooms and all were excellent. Beer selection is good . Just need better selection of foofie drinks for the ladies. And get the fans in the back outside patio working.

Man I love this place. Good beer, good food, good vibes, good people, and excellent music. Super chill place. Every week they have specials, so they'll have for example a pad thai that isn't on the menu but you can get it for that whole week. They also have new beer Thursdays. And they are so consistent with their instagram too so you always know what their weekly special is or what events they're going to have. I miss their movie nights though. Bring em back! Overall one of my favorite spots in the whole valley.

Always great service and delicious devouring food. Waiters are always kind and helpful. Always on top of things and are always checking on the customer😊💯 Food is definitely delicious and of course the wine. They a variety of beer for anyone who drinks or wants to try their domestic and imported beers. Excellent place to celebrate birthdays or any other special occasion. Friends, food, beer, wine makes Roosevelt's at 7s my kind choice for a good time.

Decent food, a wide selection of beers, the staff are fairly conversational and friendly... What's not to like? I can't say I'm a regular, since I'm from out of town but to visit clients many times a year. This is one of my favorite stops. The food selection is more than your typical "bar food " selection and quality. A little quieter atmosphere than most of the raucous places along Nolana, to be sure.

The restaurant is beautiful outside, we got there on a Monday afternoon, wasn't busy at all. The inside is very cozy, they have books, paintings on the wall, a great bar. Our waitress was super nice and friendly. Our food came out super quick, everything was delicious. Kid friendly, they have high chairs. Loved this place!!

Rothschild's All American 10/10 So I came by for my usual Ahi Tuna fix. At the same time I have been craving a burger. I decided to take a shot and DAMN!!!! I have been missing out. In San Antonio I go to a steak house that grounds their hamburger meat fresh. The cheese burger from here had a ton of flavor and tasted better than one of my favorite burgers back home... Next time I am out here for work, I'm going to order me another to make sure this was not a one time thing.

Great spot for beers. One of top in valley. Great staff. Knowledgable and fun to talk to. Do not sleep on the food. All the sandwiches are good. It might not look like it, but those chefs are legit back there. Great vibes. Never had a bad time here.

I checked on line for Roosevelt at 7's happy hour. I checked on Yelp and they had a 4.0 rating. We arrived around at 4:45 on a Monday. We were given the regular menu, therefore I asked the server for the happy hour menu. He stated that the beers on the regular menu with a star were $2 off. I then asked him if there were food specials for happy hour, he stated " not at this time". Although we aren't beer drinkers we decided to stay and ordered a Ruben sandwich and 2 glasses of "house" cab. When we received the check the " house cab" 5 oz pour was $12 each. Typically when we order house wines they are reduced rate. My bad as I didn't ask in advance how much the house wine was. I'm only posting my experience with this review to inform others that if they are expecting great happy hour prices this is definitely not the spot to visit. I'm posting a pic of the yelp review when searching for Happy Hour in McAllen.

This was my second visit. The. First visit I tried one of their panini sandwiches...great. Second visit I decided to try their pasta and was equally impressed. Food, atmosphere & service were great. Definitely plan to revisit this place.

Bear and environment and staff was welcoming and friendly. It the surprise was the 5 star dishes that are on the menu. Super tasty and well priced. Thank you for your service.

Wonderful restaurant with great food and service. Ordered the hummus w/ pita and chicken platter; everything was delicious. Great service of drinks to choose from with bartenders that can make anything you want. Will be back soon!

I ordered the Reuben (sorry I didn't get photos) and it was a really good size sandwich! Plenty of corned beef and plenty of sauerkraut (although too much for me). It came with TWO pickle spears, as opposed to just one - bonus, and a big helping of chips. My waiter Alex was just awesome! So, so friendly and attentive. He got a bigger tip for being johnny-on-spot. He suggested trying the Reuben and it hit the spot. Inside was just your run-of-the-mill bar, nothing remarkable. I chose to eat outside since it was a beautiful day and it was definitely more comfortable than the chilly inside. They only serve beer and wine. Food was decent, service was a little slow even tho there wasn't a lot of people, I asked for a water refill twice and never got it. The Ambiance inside is very chill.

Several friends, about 5-6 of us, who are x-business members of a department, have met at least a half a dozen times at Roosevelts over the past year. We always call to reserve table. Each time when we arrive no table has been reserved, and they seem to never know a reservation was ever called in or made. .. they do get you seated however -- you just have to wait. The noise level is "high" and you never know about service since almost every time we have been, there is a party going on, and service is slow to say the least. The last time we went we were celebrating one of our groups b/d. Service was so poor had to go up to the bar to ask for service several times... the bartender this last time was rude and curt. Waiters are not friendly and service each time we have been seems to get a little poorer. In fact, this last time we decided this would be our last visit to Roosevelts..., we will find another place to give our business. Guess they have so much business they don't care and probably wont miss our $200+ tab we send on each visit. On a positive note, the food and appetizers have always been good, and they do have a wide selection of beer and some wine.

Do you like trying new types of beer? Do you like Hole in the wall types of places? Roosevelt at 7 is a MUST try. So we met Sam! We love Sam! Looking at the place looks classy on the outside! Coming in is like stepping into Alice in wonderland! It's got pieces of art on the walls. Neat different things to look at. The place has a lot of conversational pieces! We ordered edamames spicy flavor!! I loved the spice and I looooved the salty garlic taste and they smelled amazing! We ordered spinach dip! They are very generous with their dip and we are loving it!! They have a wide variety of beer on tap! I wish I remembered the names, but ask for the ciders if you're into fruity stuff. We had the black and blue burger , omg I love that blue cheese, the pretzel bun seasoned with herbs, juicy meat so good. We also had the chicken Alfredo! My friend really enjoyed it . We will definitely be coming back. Thank you Sam and the female waitress that has just came in. Cozy bar and grill with some terrific art on the walls. Plethora of beers on tap (and bottles and cans) with salads, burgers, sandwiches, flat breads and pasta with choice of protein - chicken, salmon, shrimp, etc.

This is a cool spot. Got a cubano sando (nothing special but enjoyed it regardless, the dill was a nice touch), a 5x5 beer, and sat next to their resident gato. These guys are friendly, attentive and make for a nice conversation. It's cold inside honestly so I ate on the patio (thankfully tons of fans). I'll be back again.

This is more of a beer garden place. The food selection is bistro type. The menu is mostly sandwich type of food. Very few selection on pasta plates. One waiter in the dining area. So there is a delay in service. They have a wide variety of beer! My first time here, not impressed. I consider the decor to be more of a vintage shack! I ordered the black and Blue burger. The meat needed to be seasoned. But the mushroom, red onion, blue cheese and bacon did give compliment the meat.

Always a chill time hanging out here, the patio is nice and the selection of beers they have is great. It's awesome that the beer menu is always being updated.

It was recommended by our hotel van driver. I really enjoyed it. It was a cozy pub style place with, I'm guessing 30, beers on tap. Maybe more. The bartender was very friendly and knowledgeable about the beer and food offerings. I was there for lunch and had a burger, which was really good. They serve 1/2 pound patties, so you won't leave hungry. The burger came with a choice of a couple sides. Everything was fresh and delicious. Yummo. I will definitely go back the next time I visit McAllen.

Great sandwiches! Service is good they have younger servers. I enjoyed all the beers. They have numerous to choose from. He got a check it out. I also have an outside spot that you can have a big party.

Brought my beagle to the outdoor patio. Waiter was nice about having my dog sit on a chair. Fans kept us fresh but still recommend going later on in the day. Food was tasty and service was quick.

Big WOW! for the beer selections, both draft and in cans/bottles. There is indoor and an outdoor white hangar biergarten. They are open late. They also have those large growlers in a huge metal can for purchase. A crowler. The bean burger was home made with black beans on a pretzel bun. The potato salad was good on the vinegar. The Susan Sommers plate had a sauteed salmon w/chim sauce. Came with 3 thick asparagus stalks. Variety of dishes to choose from. Big parking lot.

Great spot! My friend who I was visiting- this is his favorite spot. EXCELLENT FOOD!! The food is definitely a 5 star situation. The hummus was top notch! And my panini (Lincoln's Portobello) so good! The potato salad was unique! I had a bite of the pizza it was also very tasty. Excellent beer selection and drink menu! My biggest gripe was we were seated right by the bar/ server hang out area. I am all about humor and having a good time, but some of the things we heard... If you are in the area go check them out!

So glad I found this little place! Next time, I will definitely get one of the presidential paninis, because they looked amazing passing by my spot at the bar! They had a good selection of draft beers, and for food, I opted for the Thai Chicken Flatbread... it was good, but was missing some type of kick (spice). I will definitely stop by again when I'm in town!

Here with my boyfriend have some apps and listening to a great band! I haven't heard live music this good in a while! Three guys playing a little of everything. Had a Prairie Blueberry Boyfriend-it was a sour and good. I've had few sours and at first didn't enjoy them. Now I do!

Place is what it is. In the best way. Craft beer drinking place. And they deliver. Great beer. Knowledgeable staff. Surprisingly good food, albeit pretty simple, but perfect for the vibe. This place is great for drinks with friends or working alone and wanting to be out or pull up a chair at the bar. You can't really lose here if your looking to drink and be in a cold vibe. Needs to be apart of your rotation in the valley.

Awesome staff, fantastic beers from all over the world (you WILL find a beer you love) and great food. I freaking loved my Johnny the Fox pizza which was a white pizza with chicken and red onions. Everyone at the table was jealous and wanted to steal a slice!! One of my co-workers had the Humphy Bogart primavera which she absolutely loved, she said it had a lot of herbs and was really flavorful, one of the best vegetarian pastas she had ever had. Another had the Peter Lawford's Scampi which she said was awesome, not oily and just really well balanced. It came with garlic bread which was apparently SO good they had to order a side of it just to snack on. Only downside is that while the beer is INCREDIBLE it's actually kind of expensive. More than a few of us were really surprised by the cost of it, and although it was worth it, it's not something you could do all the time. Definitely good for once in a while!!

I really enjoyed it there. My sister came down from Austin for my father's funeral and sage, my brother in law and my nephews and nieces ate out back during the evening. The staff was superb and the food was delicious.

I've been coming here for years, the service used to be great but recently has been horrible. The food is good but if it's followed by bad service, the whole experience is just a let down. I sat for close to 10 minutes and no one acknowledged me or my partner who actually stood up to make sure they saw us. They for sure saw us, two of the staff members did and still no acknowledgement, we ended up leaving.

Atmosphere and beer is what this place is great for. We ordered a flatbread had great flavor but I kinda was disappointed with the pita which was store bought and soggy. Mushroom pesto was great and shrimp was perfectly cooked but the value and price was a bit off for me. As well make sure to ask about their happy hour pricing when ordering because when we last went we were there for happy hour but got charged full price for their Pineapple haze ipa which is great but again $9 per pint is a bit steep in my opinion. I came here with my family to celebrate my brother in law birthday.. well just a little diner and of course some good beer! It was a chill Tuesday night, so it wasn't busy at all. We got beer and some appetizer like scallops with bacon and shrimps and asparagus with prosciutto and goat cheese. And for diner everyone tried something different like a burger, Panini, pizza, and pasta.! Everything was really good. In addition, we played Connect4 and the video games that they have there, the old school machine. It was a fun night!!

Yesterday was my second visit to this place and once again I found this a great place. You'll find friendly and talkative people at the bar and behind the bar. The staff is knowledgeable about all of the beer selections and there are plenty. Great classic rock playing in background, loved hearing all the John Lennon songs. Food menu is huge, I went with the ahi tuna salad, and the dressing was bit strong for my liking. Next time will try a pizza or burger.

I would recommend this place for a craft beer and a nice outdoor atmosphere. They have a spacious side patio area with games, where dogs are welcome. I think that's really cool that restaurants are beginning to allow that. We ordered dinner at the bar on our second visit. The dining area is very dark, borderline gloomy. We were not blown away by our meals either. I ordered the 'Regan's Meatloaf Sandwich' which tasted like a freezer meal. My husband ordered the 'Clinton's Drunken Salmon' sandwich which was just ok. Both came with a plain side salad, and potato salad that was dense and flavorless. I don't see us returning for a meal, but definitely a beer on a nice night.

Great beer selection and of course that's always a plus if beer is all you want it's a 5 star review but if you want to eat I say pass , 4 of us ordered and most of the food was cold nothing to rave about . Just blah food if they stepped it up and had a better menu come on chicken strips , some tacos nothing too out of the ordinary or needing a 5 star chef . If the food was stepped up in quality this place could hit it out of the ball park! Any who still coming back for beer but after I eat somewhere else ... another thing it would be nice to have a cold glass to pour the beer in ! Warm glass not so much !! Anyways good place to hang and drink beer !
