I ordered Half-Banh Mi combo with Beef Alphabet Soup. The soup was good! Make sure you eat it while it's hot. It tasted really good. The banh mi was delicious too. It was so good i forgot to eat my soup. The hlaf banhmi combo is good for people who do not want to get full. It was enough to satisfy not-so hungry people. My friend ordered the box of rice that comes with pork egg roll. I love the egg roll and the dip that came with it. I so loved it i dipped my banh mi in it and used it as its sauce. The fried rice was okay. It was not tasty enough for me. But when i put the seasoning they have in the store, it was good already. It was just my preference that my fried rice is salty. Their fried recipe is perfect for those whose not after salty type of rice. They have varieties of food options and drink options. The cashier was nice in recommending what to order. The place was quiet and clean. The restroom was clean and equipped with diaper board, hand dryer, and paper towel dispenser.

Came for some ban mihs and they didn’t disappoint other than they could put a tad more meat when the bread is so thick. But still a good Sammy. The bulgogi fries were reallly good, just enough meat and the fries were fresh and seasoned just right. We also tried the eggrolls and those were also tasty. Crunchy and cooked to perfection. We spent $38.28 for 2 ban mihs, the 2 eggrolls and fries and drink.

I ordered customized box plate. Pork and vermicelli noodles with an egg on top. It was delicious. Definitely will be back.

Delicious! The bahn mi was loaded with meats, egg rolls were great with the sauce.

Walked in here on a Sunday morning and there was no wait. I placed my order with the staff and I was given a buzzer to let me know when my order was ready. It took about 5 minutes or less to get my order. Before I could even taste it, everything looked delicious. I was super happy they have a combo option because that way I could try their other food items. I don't mind having half a sandwich because the fries were enough with it. The banh mi was amazing! From the bread to the ingredients, I was extremely impressed. The meat and fresh vegetables were a good ratio. The garlic aioli mayo/butter was tasty. The bread, oh my goodness the bread! The bread was the highlight of the banh mi. The inside was soft while the outside was warm and toasted perfectly. I can rarely find a place that serves you fresh bread like they do here. The sidewinder fries were made by order so it came out hot and crispy fried; just the way I like it! My favorite was the Special! I liked the grilled Pork, too. The lychee tea was refillable and that was awesome. There was plenty of space to move around and seats were available outside with a roof.

Google
Food was delicious and received it quickly! If you get a box with the ribeye, choose the sweet chili sauce! The egg roll was good too! The lychee tea is so good you’ll have to get a refill. Overall great tasting food. Would definitely come back. The establishment was clean and service was great.

Google
The Banh mi here is fantastic. Being a huge fan of Banh Mi I didn’t think it could be improve anymore but Roostar did it. Every sandwich our table ordered was delicious. The bread is crunchy on the outside, chewy and decadent on the inside. The Garlic Aioli brings the typical Banh Mi over the top from good to amazing. Their fries are fun! Service was great on our visit. After finding out it was our first time, the gentleman took time to explain their menu and which is the best deal to try it all.

Yelp
Love this place! I've tried the food here on several occasions and it's very consistent! The bulgolgi fries are fire. The fries are crispy and soft on the inside. Perfectly fried. The bulgogi and the other sauce goodness is best! The alphabet soup is perfect for those days that you wanting a warm hug ! The wings... are super good. I usually order the whole shebang. Super flavorful The bahnMi/ rib eye and bbq pork are my faves The eggrolls are super good with or without the fish sauce. I love how the boxes come with a choice of salad, rice, or noodles. I usually get the noodles because I love vermicelli bowls. Curry beef is solid too...

Yelp
The three stars is for the outdoor patio, the iced coffee, and the wonton chips-- which should be available EVERYWHERE, I loved them so much. The rest of my meal--chicken box with salad and "fried" rice-- was mid. Wouldn't order again. I expected so much more. Now, the service-- multiple people were rude. They need better people on the register bc I felt uncomfortable asking for something as simple as a to go box. I thought I was imagining it, but when I went back outside to my food, another woman exited behind me also complaining about rudeness. Maybe everybody was just having a bad day, so I won't point out specific people but hopefully management brings it up at a team meeting. Thanks!

Yelp
I LOVE Roostar. Being Vietnamese, I have pretty high standards (especially when it comes to new or fusion-y concepts). Their banh mi is consistently great, and I love getting the lunch combo with fries. It is also very convenient that my favorite boba shop is next door. One afternoon, the owner, Ronnie, stopped by our table to ask how we were doing. Noticing I was pregnant, he shared that his wife often brought their baby to work. He was so sincere and kind, and clearly cares about connecting with customers. Good food, good people, good family-owned business!

Yelp
Great spot to get a banh mi in Houston! I've ordered lunch from here a few times and it's consistently delicious, and we also had a good experience dining in for the first time recently. My go-to order is the grilled pork banh mi, which comes with jalapeños, cucumbers, pickled carrots, cilantro, soy sauce, and garlic aioli. The pork is super flavorful, and the garlic aioli compliments it so well along with the crisp cucumbers.

Yelp
The facility was clean, but the food was just okay (with the exception of the fries). The bulgogi fries were amazing, I've never had fries cut like that. The bahn mi didn't taste bad but it it wasn't good, it had a weird after taste. The wings were just alright.

Yelp
It's a cool, fast casual place. I like that I could make my own box and pick my rice and protein. I went with pork. It was good. A little fatty but flavorful. The fried rice was just ok. It was a little under cooked but not bad. The cashier was friendly and answered our questions. It was clean and they were playing good music. Not sure I would pick it over other similar places in the city, but if I were in the area I would return.

Yelp
Located on Navigation in Eado next to the newly gentrified areas and across from Ninfa's. Parking is available easily in the plaza's lot. Interior is a very clean fast casual feel similar to hot chicken restaurants. The menu is a bit interesting, I expected more authentic Vietnamese but it's pretty fusion/ American style. It had sandwiches and meat/rice combo's. We ordered two different banh mi sandwiches and a side of fries. Each sandwich tasted as expected if not slightly below expectation; the banh mi in Bellaire still vastly surpass in terms of flavor. For $8 a sandwich, I honestly expected a bit more. The missing authentic pate was also a bit of a bummer; the Chinatown banh mi usually have a nice slather of the caloric rich goodness. Service is at a minimum like a McDonald's or other fast food spot, you pretty much order, get your food, then put your tray back. Solid 3.5; we weren't impressed but as the only Vietnamese option in the area, they can probably do well.

Yelp
The grilled pork banh mi was a hit: nicely toasted baguette, flavorful protein, and plenty of toppings. Not the most authentic, but made for a tasty lunch. The chicken thigh box was not my fave despite generous portions of meat and rice plus a yummy egg roll. I wasn't in love with the texture of the chicken, but my husband didn't seem to mind it. The sides looked great -- I wasn't hungry enough to add any to my order, but would be down for sampling the fries or corn next time. If you're looking for easy takeout or a crowd-pleasing Vietnamese-ish lunch meetup spot with friends, this checks all of the boxes.

Yelp
I selected the chopped ribeye box with an extra side of egg rolls. All was fresh and flavorful... This was my first time at Roosters, and it reminded me of a Vietnamese Chipotle. You can pick your base and meat. Service was fast as I ordered all to go... I highly recommend trying if you are into Vietnamese food...

Yelp
Viet fusion concept. The Good: Fast food made with good ingredients. modern design. a good bit of variance in the menu. The Bad: Price is a bit more than a traditional Vietnamese restaurant. French fried potatoes not good. Items need more flavor. Stopped in for an early dinner with the family. I wanted to try several items from the menu to give the restaurant a good assessment. There are several option on the menu, sandwiches, soups, plates and loaded fries. And they have several vegan options. Banh M:. Had the ribeye and the pork. They where both fine, nothing special. a bit dry, could have used more mayo/butter. It was honestly what you would expect when ordering a banh mi. On the down side they were $8 and 10$ each. So from a cost perspective they are a bit expensive. Many of the reviews say they are the best in town... I say they are fine. Ribeye and Rice Box: 3 out of 5 stars, biggest issue is the veggies not being fresh. For $12 its probably a better value than the Bonh me. Kids noodles and pork: Nice small bowl for the kids. The kids menu had several options, all for around $5. Fries: Nope. Sorry. They a potato wedge that is curly. Very thick, the order I had was undercooked on the inside. It was nice and crunchy on the outside however the inside was still hard on most of them, not light and fluffy. I even asked if they where supposed to be that "undercooked" and was told no. They gave me another other and they said they fried them longer, but the inside was still very tough. Also they did not seem salted at all. they lacked much flavor. Honestly had high hopes on the unique fry concept but ended up throwing them away. Possibly just an off day. Bulgogi Beef Fries: Beef and sauce on the fries are great. However these fries were just as bad as the plan order I had. I ended up scrapping all the topping off and eating it separate. Pork Belly Fried Rice: The pork was braised and had very little flavor. it was basically just floppy bacon. The rice did not have much flavor at all, it needed sauce and or salt. It seems everything except the bulgogi sauce lacked flavor. Most everything was blandish and dry. I think the concept is great for someone looking for a fast meal. However there were so many things that were just average or bellow average I could not get excited to go back. Add in the price is a bit more than most sit-down Vietnamese restaurants. If you eat Vietnamese food often give it a try you may like it. However I could not recommend going out of the way to order here.

Yelp
I love this fast casual restaurant whenever I want to grab a quick bite without having to eat unhealthy. The inside is clean and the service is top notch. I've tried the Grilled Pork, Grilled Chicken, and The Special Banh Mi and they were all delicious. The pork egg rolls were also cooked to perfection. I've never had issues finding parking at this location and although it's more pricey than traditional Vietnamese restaurants, it's consistent, filling, and the quality of the food is great.

Yelp
Located in EaDo, plenty of parking available in their lot. The menu and combo the restaurant offers is more fusion than Vietnamese. Ordered the grilled pork banh mi, the special banh mi and a side of fries. The fries were nice and crispy. The banh mi were decent, however can't compare to the other authentic shops like Lee's in town. For $8 a banh mi, you are paying more for the convenience of the location.

Yelp
The banh mi here was delicious. We also got the butter and garlic fries. Must try! They are so flavorful. Staff was really friendly and even checked on how our food was after (even though it wasn't really like a restaurant with waiters or anything). Definitely more modern viet food. There was also lychee tea which I didn't get to try but will next time! Parking wise there was ton.

Yelp
This is one of my fave bánh mì spots! The bread was perfectly toasted but still chewy, and the flavours are incredible. It all works together so well and the ingredients are very fresh. The iced matcha tea drink is also soo delicious - a bit sweet but in a good way, almost as if they put condensed milk. My boyfriend and I came here twice while we were in Houston! Casual but funky ambience with lots of seating. Loved it and I'd definitely recommend the grilled chicken bánh mì

Yelp
checked out east end and noticed this newly opened vietnamese fusion restaurant. banh mi special (pork belly and vietnamese ham) was decent but it's quite pricy ($8). the boxes are affordable and it comes with a mini salad and pork eggroll. they don't skimp on meat here it's been so long since i've been to the original roostar so its a nice refresher in the area. no other vietnamese restaurant close by. good location i'd come back to try their other items
google avatar

Yelp
If you're looking for a quick vietnamese food fix in the eado area, this place is for you! They have rice plates and banh mi. Their curry fries are off the chain. If you're wanting that comforting pho, you'll have to go elsewhere as they do not serve pho. I've had both the beef rice plate and the fried tofu vermicelli bowl and fried tofu banh mi, and they're all delicious. My fave is the curry fries. What better than a matcha green tea to wash it down? Service is pretty quick, staff are always friendly. Place is very clean. You can grab to go from their to go window or go inside. Plenty of parking. Would definitely recommend this place.

Yelp
First time having roostar. I already knew it wasnt going to be a true authentic banh mi so I wasnt surprised. Flavors are ok! Got it togo to eat at home. I am not joking i have a toothpick inside my sandwich. Didnt notice it until after the first bite. ‍ maybe they tossed it inside my togo bag and it somehow happened to end up inside my banh mi...

Yelp
Hubby and I tested out the Roostar Vietnamese place on Navigation for a late lunch today. This is a counter service place, but food was all excellent and prices were pretty darn reasonable relative to the quantity and quality. The decor is minimalist/industrial with some pops of color throughout from the artwork. There is a walk up window for take out. They have a limited selection of beer on tap and in cans as a drink option, as well as, other choices. There is plenty of parking both in front and behind. The building is a new construction/semi-strip mall. We tried: 1). the "lunchbox" with grilled pork, over noodles with fish sauce and added a fried egg ....5/5....$10.19. Added fried egg.....$1.79 2). The chicken thigh banh mi combo w/ beef alphabet soup ( very flavorful soup, just a tad oily on top) Combo =1/2 of a regular banh mi with the choice of a cup of soup or a side). ....5/5......$7.89 3). An order of garlic bread....5/5.....$4 Service was generally good, but the cashier taking the order had to be asked repeatedly to please speak-up. Between his mumbling and the background noise of the kitchen, it was difficult for either myself or my husband to understand him. They really need to put someone more confident and able to project at the face of the restaurant. The beer taps are at the register and when I requested to know if they had anything similar to a Shiner Bach or a dark lager he hemmed and hawed and finally recommended a light ale of some kind. I think whomever is manning the beer taps should be more confident/knowledgeable about what they have. He was very nice though, and later came and checked at our table to see if we needed anything else. The only real negative to my experience was the restroom. There are two uni-sex bathrooms. I wish they would separate them by sex as some men can be very careless about leaving urine drops on the seats that women then have to clean to sit on and wetting the floor. While I was waiting a man came out making a room available and the seat had drops and floor was wet around the toilet. The least you could do is provide seat covers and some Lysol or other disinfectant. I did like that they provided both paper towels and an air blower hand dryer. I am taking off one star for the restroom situation. We will definitely go back for the delicious food, but might do take-out. This would be good for a casual date spot; family dinner; or a dinner or lunch with friends. Although we did not go in the evening, it seemed pretty industrial and the seating was too open to be conducive to a romantic meal or for close personal conversation. This is a great addition to the neighborhood and is easily accessible from downtown area.

Yelp
I was eating at Roostar yesterday and do not get me wrong food was great staff in the front was welcoming and helpful with menu! But it all got ruined mid dinner i heard screaming coming from the back by where they handed me my food it just ruined the vibe and experience food was great might not go ever again though!

Yelp
Is there another Bahn Mi experience as good as Roostar Vietnamese Grill in this location...the answer of course is 'the other Roostar Vietnamese Grill' on Gessner near Memorial City or the Galleria location. What makes a simple sandwich an experience worth writing about you might ask??? The answer is the bread (baguettes) which are freshly made each day plus the fresh cucumber, peppers (back to the pepper in a moment) , onion, cilantro and a few shreds of carrots which add the texture to whichever cold cut you select (in my case pork) but even more important is the coriander which is what differentiates and transforms a "sub" to a bahn mi. Equally important, especially for Roostar Bahn Mi is the mayo, hot sauce, garlic aioli and jalapeno pepper combination which seems to be perfectly balanced and well worth and affordable, quick lunch, efficiently served. Don't miss the opportunity.

Yelp
Stumbled upon this place at 10am originally to get a iced coffee right before going to the gym and was intrigued by the menu and interior decor. So came back after my workout to try the food here at Rooster Vietnamese Grill which I highly recommend if ever in the EADO (Segundo Bario) area. Order the half Banh Mi grilled chicken with an order of upgraded Bulgogi fries which was 10/10! The crispy ness of the fries and beef along with the jalapeño ranch was amazing! As for the second entree we ordered a grilled chicken box with vermicelli which was great and of course another Vietnamese iced coffee. 10/10 the aesthetics of the interior along with the food and coffee was great! Two entrees and a Vietnamese iced coffee for exactly $30.** and change which is reasonable in todays economy lol I will def be back when I'm in the area! Rating 10/10

Yelp
I love how quick the food is, as well as how customizable it is. There are a lot of different options for a lot of different diets. I tend to go for crispy tofu a banh mi or a bowl. The salmon bahn mi is good but a little dry- I added sauces to it to help with that! The lychee tea is so tasty and they have a lot of yummy sounding drink options. This place satisfies my need for a quick bahn mi in EaDo. All in all a fun place for fusion Vietnamese with a lot of space to sit. The vibe is fun as well as very laid back. Seems like a popping place for takeout or delivery as well.

Sonia G.

Yelp
I ordered a grilled pork sandwich for takeout. When I opened it and took a bite, it was delicious. Then I took a 2nd bite and looked down at the container it came in. There was a long thick black hair. So gross! I spit it out and threw it in the garbage. Yuk!

Yelp
YUMMMYYYY. Prices are reasonable, food is fresh with a modern touch on Vietnamese dishes. The owner and her husband were guest speakers in my class at UH so I've been waiting to try this place out and it did not disappoint. Vibes are very fun/funky. Give them a try! (Also the tea house next door is yummy too)

Yelp
Really good bánh mì! Loved the bread! It was thin, airy, and crispy! The beef was tender and flavorful! Got the the Thai tea as well. Can't go wrong with that. Also tried their lychee tea and passion fruit tea which were great. Everything was good but pricy tho compared to normal banh mi spots.
google avatar

Yelp
Decided to try this place in search of good wings. Now, we got take out so maybe not eating the wings right away wasn't the move. The whole shebang flavor was a little underwhelming but dipping in ranch or sweet chili was good. I also got some of the wings extra crispy and they weren't really crispy, but probably would have been crispier if we had eaten there. The Thai soup was ok and had minimal cilantro which I liked!

Yelp
I'd had this place recommended to me by some friends so I stopped in for dinner. The staff was very welcoming and helpful with navigating the menu. I got the chicken banh mi and Vietnamese slaw. The food came out pretty quick and was absolutely delicious. I highly highly recommend the Vietnamese slaw! It is the best crunchy, sweet, salty and tangy mix with crunchy peanuts on top. The banh mi was very flavorful with juicy chicken and fresh, crunchy veggies. Also had soem of the passionfruit tea mixed with the regular unsweetened tea and it was super good too. Overall, a great experience and highly recommend it to others!

Yelp
Bahn mi sandwiches from Roostar are well-known and recommended by many local Houstonians. This place is indeed very impressive and I would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a savory sandwich that's packed with flavors and real marinated meat. We ordered the Chopped Ribeye (tender and well-marinated ribeye meat paired with garlic aioli, cucumber, jalapeño, picked carrots) and The Special (slices of smoked ham, pork belly and rich pate along with other side ingredients) in a crispy baguette. It is simple yet sophisticated at the same time. We also ordered a bowl of the beef alphabet soup. Never had any soup like this. It has ground beef, alphabet noodles, sweet onions and green onions. The broth is rich (like Pho) with a hint of sweetness. It is a great option for kiddos or if you just want something on the light and healthier side. Last but not least, they also have desserts. We got their coconut banana cotta, made with chia seeds, crushed pecans, almonds and pumpkin seeds. The taste is very tropical and not too sweet. Service was fast and friendly, parking is easy.

Yelp
I was so excited to learn Roostar was opening another location in my part of town because I've been a fan for a long time after first trying it in the Spring Branch area. My usual order is the classic grilled pork Banh mi and pork egg rolls. Both are delicious, and you can't go wrong! I recently tried the beef curry fries, which surprisingly, were amazing! The fries themselves were thick and would have been good on their own, but smothering them in beef curry elevates them and makes them super unique. Can't wait to keep trying new things now that they're so close!

Yelp
I am HOOKED on their chicken rice box. The flavors are incredible. The service is fast. They have a nice outdoor area as well as ample indoor seating. Love this place.

Yelp
My first banh mi from here was catered and it was really good. Dining here also did not disappoint. The Gogi fries were probably my favorite thing I ordered bc of the sauce and unique shape of the fries. I liked the Bbq pork over the ribeye. They had many items on their menu, and a popular choice amongst my friends was the rice/vermicelli plates.

Yelp
Top notch! This is the second location of theirs I have tried and it's simply amazing! Food: the Vietnamese sandwiches here are simply amazing! Very tasty and full of flavor. I got the beef and grilled pork Vietnamese sandwich and it was so dam good! Full of flavor and very fresh. The French bread is so crispy and fresh. The meats are made to order. Full of flavor and very good. The egg rolls are really good too. We got wings as as appetizer and they were amazing! The water cups are tiny! For the amount they charge they need bigger water cups. Don't be cheap! You charge a premium and I don't mind paying because you food is top notch but don't be a cheap As* with them small ass cups for water lol. Also make sure you umbrellas are installed properly. We witness one take flight with a slight gust of wind. That could have really hurt someone and you all could have been hit with a law suit. Food is amazing! Get bigger water cups. I'll definitely be back asap!

Yelp
Amazing food and ambiance. Service was great and very attentive. My family and I came here after going to the farmers market for a quick bite, and we were very pleased with our time together. I had the matcha tea which was very good. My family and I shared the French fries bowl with the beef (I forgot the name lol), the 12 count of the egg roll, the sandwich, and the wonton crisp and dip. Everything was so delicious and came with complimentary sauces which were great as well. Overall, if you're looking for a great Vietnamese experience, then I highly recommend this place.

Yelp
I was in the area with a bunch of other Yelpers attending an UYE (Unofficial Yelp Event) at 'How to Survive on Land And Sea' when a bunch of us became hungry and started thinking about food. I recommended we all go for Banh Mi and to go to Roostars on Richmond, not realizing that there was a new location not a couple of miles away from where we were. But luckily when I opened my Yelp app to find the address to the Richmond location to give to another Yelper, I realized that this was much closer. So, we all decided to just make our way here. The service and the food at this location is as solid as the other locations that I've been to. I ordered my usual - Grilled Pork Banh Mi with a fried egg and extra meat. Still one of the best, if not the best Banh Mi that I've had anywhere!! And to top things off, when I picked up my order, they had given me a complimentary cup of Alphabet soup that's yum yum yummy! I got to try some of the other things that other Yelpers had ordered like their fries (so so good), garlic bread (so so so good - seeing a pattern here?), street corn (so so so... you get the point), but pretty much everything that I tried was super delicious. I probably wouldn't frequent this location because distance wise, it's pretty far from where I live. However, you bet that I'd still frequent the Richmond and/or Gessner locations (although I probably wouldn't order delivery from the Richmond location due to a bad experience - read my review for that location). I'm happy to see Roostar keeps expanding all over Houston so more people get to experience all the good food they have to offer!

Yelp
This is my kind of place. Simple counter order food that is freshly made with great flavor. I'm not a big sandwich person, but this one was solid. I also ordered the curry fries which were pretty good. A full sandwich and a full order of fries for about $16 is probably too much food, and I should have considered the combo options. I also got to try someone else's garlic fries and those were really good. Lessons learned for when I go back.

Yelp
Another great recommendation. Here's my bullet point review. * Welcoming staff. * Friendly *Clean Restaurant * Good selection of food items. * Patio space * Good price point They walked me through the menu and even held my to go order until I was ready to go. I choose the Thai chicken soup, garlic butter wings, the box chicken with fried rice, salad and a egg roll. Everything was flavorful. A must try and I'll be back as well.

Yelp
I went there for dinner because several friends had suggested it to me. The service was excellent, and the staff was very helpful with the food. The food was excellent! I ordered the banh mi with steak and Vietnamese slaw. The lunch arrived very quickly and was excellent. I heartily urge you to try the Vietnamese slaw! With crunchy peanuts on top, it is the best crunchy, sweet, salty, and tangy mixture. The fries and banh mi were both excellent and had a lot of flavor. It was also really excellent to blend some of the passionfruit tea with the usual unsweetened tea. Love the atmosphere, design, and helpful staff. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I wholeheartedly endorse it!

Yelp
Yes, this is not the most economical Banh-mi sandwich shop but the flavors and quality are on point. The egg-rolls are very good, crispy but not greasy.

Yelp
My favorite bahn mi place! It's honestly a bit more expensive than other bahn mi places but it's worth the price. Presentation of the food is always nice and cute with the Homer Simpson picks!

Yelp
This is our favorite lunch spot. I have tried almost everything on the menu including sous vide pork belly box and banh mi, ribeye, grilled pork, the special, grilled chicken, and they're all on point. I like to get my banh mi with pate. I also love the yellow beef curry and rice and the fried rice. Restaurant is counter service and food comes out fast which makes it perfect when you're in a hurry.

Yelp
I was so skeptical!! When I found out I was going to a chain restaurant instead of a local Vietnamese place. I knew it wouldn't be good... but I was DEAD WRONG! I got the yellow curry beef box with noodles and I was blown away. Me oh my! It was delicious! I cannot exaggerate enough how delicious it was. My husband got the chicken wings and he said they were amazing and crispy. Rest of the family got pork and we're very well pleased. Seems like you can't go wrong with Roostar.

Yelp
It's ok It seems to be an Asian fusion place The banh mi was not what I expected. The bread crust needed to be crispier and the inside chewier. This was just a hot dog bun that was toasted. The meat combination was also a little plain pork belly and pate - what happened to the head cheese? The ham? There also needed to be more vegetables - carrots cilantro pickles and jalapeño. I like my banh mi like a Chicago style hot dog - overloaded. This was not that. The things that make banh mi for me weren't there. Lychee tea was nice tasting Location is EaDo. Pretty exciting Lots of parking Lots of tables Servers were very helpful. I think they are trying to be a culinary star. But the food was middle of the road.

Yelp
Fries 7.5/10 It was good but it wasnt bulgogi fries lol, it was more like fries with jalapeño avocado sauce. Also bulgogi meat was really same meat as the bahn mi meat so it was really dry. Bahn Mi 9/10 Grilled Pork bahn mi was really good, bread was soft and it had the perfect amount of veggies. Pork Belly 0/10 I added it to my bahn mi and had high hopes for it. Color threw me off a lil but I still had hopes that the taste would be good. It was not. Tasted a lil dirty and it was really cold. Also had it over rice and it wasnt good.

Yelp
I wish the Roostar by our house was as cool as this East Houston location. You get every tasty Vietnamese offering you'd expect from this popular Houston chain, but this particular location had a great updated buildout, including a small outdoor patio for nice weather bites. Anytime I'm East of downtown and craving Bahn Mi, I'll be here.

Yelp
I ordered food via UberEats today and omg it was phenomenal. Exceeded my expectations. I ordered the chopped ribeye box, my boyfriend ordered the grilled chicken box and the cinnamon blondie. The boxes came with an egg roll a piece.. I opted for the noodles and peanuts with the house fish sauce dressing with the ribeye and oooh wee so delicious. He also opted for the fish sauce but chose the fried rice.. The fried rice is not fried like your normal fried rice color but it's very flavorful and the fish sauce makes it even more tasty. The chicken was tender, very flavorful and we could not get enough of it... The ribeye was also seasoned and flavorful and I received a nice helping.. Now to dessert omg.. We ordered the cinnamon blondie.. It tasted like heaven... Soft and buttery and cinnamon oooh wee I wished we had more of it. My only gripe was the portion size I wish it was bigger pieces... You definitely have to try it.. We were very hungry and didn't get the chance to take pics.. We will definitely order from this amazing establishment again. Will have to dine in next time.. Money well spent.. Fantastic food thank you so much our belly's are full and happy.. 2 thumbs up for sure.... You will not be disappointed!!
