Rooster Coffee 479 Broadview Avenue Visited: May 19, 2025 | Time: 9:00 AM Rating: 3.5/5 Drink Ordered: Almond milk cappuccino ($5.65 CAD) — First Impressions Rooster Coffee is a rustic, cozy neighborhood café with a lively atmosphere. The space was vibrant and busy, making it ideal for casual meetups or light work. The baristas were friendly and helpful, taking time to answer my questions. It’s a place that clearly serves as a hub for the local community. — Coffee Quality I ordered a cappuccino with almond milk. • Espresso: Smooth • Milk texture: Light and airy • Beans: From Rooster’s in-house roaster The milk-to-espresso ratio was well-balanced. However, I was disappointed to find the almond milk was sweetened, which detracted from the experience, especially as someone who prefers unsweetened coffee. — Ambience & Amenities • Wi-Fi: Yes • Outlets: Yes • Seating: A mix of tables and comfortable couches, suitable for solo visitors or small groups • Crowd: Energetic and engaged A good spot for connecting with others or doing light, creative work in a lively setting. — Overall Rooster Coffee shines as a community gathering spot with warm service and a vibrant feel. While the coffee was decent, more transparency around milk options would improve the experience. Worth a visit for the atmosphere and friendly vibe.

I’m a big fan of Rooster and this location is no exception. They have great tea lattes (toasty almond is excellent) and so many baked goods to choose from. If coming for a view of the park I wouldn’t bother because you can sit in the actual park across the street and take in the view without streetcars and trucks going by every five seconds. But come here for the coffee! ☕️

Rooster Café is my go-to place in Toronto. It’s right across from Riverdale East Park, giving you a clear view of the city skyline, and the sunsets here are beautiful, falling right behind the buildings. They serve really good coffee, and the baristas sometimes surprise you with special latte art, which adds a nice personal touch. Their almond croissants are also worth trying—but they’re usually available only in the mornings and tend to sell out quickly, so you might not always find them later in the day. The staff is friendly, the vibe is relaxed, and whether it’s a weekday or weekend, it always feels like a cozy little escape in the city.

Google
Popped in before a picnic and I’m glad I did! I don’t think I’ve ever seen such an array of pastries at a cafe before nor had equally good coffee to match! I ended up getting an iced latte and a Nanaimo bar. The latte was smooth and not bitter at all. The Nanaimo bar was very rich and sweet, so if you’re looking for something less sweet this may not be for you. The line moved quickly and service was great. They have both indoor and outdoor seating, but with the park across the street not many seats were occupied.

Must Try place to have coffee and Enjoy sunrise and sunset looking at best view of city. Tried Latte and Raspberry Muffins Taste really good.

Google
This café is perfectly situated opposite Riverdale Park East and is always bustling on the weekends. There’s some street parking available along the west side of Broadview Ave, which gets quickly filled up also. The atmosphere is warm, cozy and inviting, with some patio tables also available. Their flat white and chocolate chip cookie is generally good and they have a good variety of other options, such as cakes, muffins, brownies, bars and scones. Worth a visit!

Google
Great place to stop by if you’re walking at Riverdale Park. Coffee always tastes great and staff is friendly. It gets really busy sometimes but the wait time is not long. I appreciate this place very much.

Google
Rooster Coffee Shop offers a relaxed and inviting atmosphere that makes it a perfect spot for both work and casual meet-ups. The aroma of freshly brewed coffee hits you the moment you walk in, and their attention to detail—from the quality of beans to the presentation of each cup—creates a satisfying coffee experience. Whether you’re grabbing a quick espresso or staying for a while with a latte, the space feels cozy and personal, often filled with the gentle hum of conversation. It’s the kind of place where time seems to slow down, encouraging you to savor both your drink and your surroundings.

Yelp
Great service and lots of choice. They even have homemade I cream sandwiches. The food is very foodie, yet the shop is is cozy and pretty. The staff was kind and efficient. This is a popular spot and I was glad to enjoy it for the first time. I was also impressed by the view. My butter tart was delicious.

Yelp
This Rooster Coffee House is a snazzy little joint with a vintage, organic cafe atmosphere. Neighbors trickle in for drinks, snacks and conversation in charming surroundings. I miss the original baristas who graced the shop when it first opened. It's great to know that many of them have gone on to open up cafes of their own. There are more than a few Rooster Coffee shops floating around out there. A similar named cafe called Rooster's Coffeehouse was established at Carlton University in Ottawa and has been around since 1960. Not to be confused with Rooster Coffee, a gorgeous cafe-roaster, located in Maribor, Slovenia.

Yelp
a homey cafe next to riverdale park with friendly staff and an expansive selection of treats. although i didn't purchase coffee, we shot our shot with one of the ice cream sandwiches that were made by a home baker. i think this cookie sandwich warrants an entire dissertation on how divine it tasted and this is not an overstatement. i wasn't even going to review this place because i didn't get any beverage or baked good, but if there is anything you should try at rooster coffee house, please try the confetti cookie ice cream sandwich. i'm not sure if these are sold in the downtown core location, but i highly recommend nabbing one if you have the chance. if i had come by earlier in the day, i would have loved to enjoy this with a hot latte or matcha. the sweetness, texture, hint of salt in the cookie and lightness of the ice cream paired together in shocking harmony that was almost transcendent for me. please just get the damn cookie sandwich, thank you. also, i need this recipe if it's not a secret

Yelp
We visited Rooster at 10a on a Wednesday and the cafe was full of people. There was seating inside and out. The outdoor seating were cute marble tables with chairs facing the street. We enjoyed our coffee while watching people and dogs pass by. The coffee did not disappoint. Everything on our ordered came out perfectly and quickly. The cafe had an abundance of bakery items and a communal crossword puzzle on the counter. This caught the attention of both my husband and son. Overall Rooster was a cute little neighborhood cafe.

Yelp
August 31, 2022- My friend recently come back from a trip to Vancouver and he loved the café/coffee shops there. He invited me to join him at Rooster Coffee House. I don't drink coffee so I was happy to see that they had other drinks on the menu. We ordered: Matcha Latte Nanaimo bar London Fog latte Pecan tart Everything tasted good. Nothing different from other places I've been to before. It's a nice little coffee shop across from a perfect spot to see the sunset over looking Downtown Toronto.

Yelp
Every time I visit Toronto, I drop by for a cup of cappuccino and buy a bag or two of their single origin coffee beans. My wife loves their coffee cakes. On sunny days be prepared for long lines.

Yelp
Amazing and super friendly staff. It looked a bit crowded behind the counter but other than that, they are professional and super friendly not only to customers but also pet friendly with treats by the door and water bowls for your pets outside the shop. It is tidy and the service was quick. I came by here as I was walking my dog and decided to get a small treat for my partner at home but I didn't have my wallet on me. So I asked if they accepted Apple Pay and I guess they misunderstood. But the server was nice enough to allow me to pay back the next time I visited. Thankfully I wanted to double check so I showed my Apple Pay and turns out that they do accept it. All in all, I had an enjoyable experience.

Yelp
Lovely little coffee shop. Very friendly staff. For parking, hours are posted for Broadview or go to a side street. They sell goods ie:beer, cider, milk, baked goods, toques...in winter etc. Quite eclectic & cozy. Seating for 15, 1 table, mostly stools at a small counter. My latte was good & my husband's apple/ginger cider was great. The peanut butter/chocolate chip cookie was full of chips but short on the peanut butter. Take a travel mug, if you linger like me, as they can't reheat your beverage. They have outdoor seating, with umbrellas, at the front for warmer weather. Wifi is good. No cash right now only debit or credit.

Yelp
Since quarantine started, I've motivated myself to go on walks by walking to different coffee shops and trying a beverage. I don't like coffee so the tea lattes are where i focus. I tried the honey ginger latte and O M G, i would get this again. This was THE BEST drink. When it was hot, it was next level amazing. When it cooled down, it reminded me of the soup in the asian tang yuen dessert. Hot Tip: Since COVID/quarantine, they now sell their honey ginger ingredients so you can make it yourself. It's $10 a bag. You know I'm going to hoard these so sorry in advance if you don't see any left :).

Yelp
After waiting in a very long slow lineup my coffee was cold over priced with very poor unfriendly service

Yelp
I love grabbing one of the refreshing drinks, usually the cucumber lemonade and enjoying it across the street at Riverdale Park on a summer day. Their patio is always lively and full when the weather permits, and it's got a more neighbourhood feel to it than the other locations, which makes it the best one.
google avatar

Kehau M.

Yelp
Super cute coffee shop! Has a cozy, neighborhood coffee shop feel. Selection is great without being overwhelming and prices are reasonable. I ordered the mocha and my friends ordered the cortado and honey ginger latte. They were delicious. They do offer a variety of milks and have a good amount of seating.

Nicholas T.

Yelp
Decent iced americano. Cute location. Service was a bit slow. Only one person making everyone's drinks.
google avatar

Chen L.

Yelp
Good coffee and service. Decent pastries. Most importantly, you can take your breakfast items and sit in Riverdale park just across the street, which has a great view of the city skyline.
google avatar

Yelp
Nestled cozily between the beautiful houses and the park across the street. A perfect spot for a rainy evening. Lots of space to work. The interiors are minimalist but warm and welcoming. They have a large menu of teas and coffees that adorn a beautiful looking chalkboard on the wall. The cortada was just the right flavor, full, hint of milk and a lot of delicious coffee. Very easy to miss, it has no sign posts. There is Street parking available.

Yelp
My favourite coffee shop in the city with one of the best patios, reminiscent of Paris. The patio seats are all lined up, overlooking Riverdale Park and with expansive views of the Toronto skyline. Try to leave time and have your coffee outside. The interior is nicely decorated. Coffees are amongst the best in the city and staff very approachable if you have questions. They have a a large assortment of beverages and snacks, and decent pricing.

Rob G.

Yelp
Best coffeehouse, amazing staff, delicious coffee, food and merch and best view in Toronto! Beautiful decor.

Yelp
Rooster Coffee House does it right. I love everything about this coffee shop - their cozy layout, interior décor, refurnished benches, and wood cabin theme. It's a great location for locals and visitors alike since it's accessible along Broadview where the streetcars run and it is directly across from Riverdale Park. You get a great view of the Toronto skyline on any given day while enjoying a quality beverage in hand. Overall a very welcoming vibe. On this windy spring day, I managed to grab a seat at one of the comfy armchairs to read my book and enjoy the perfect mocha blend. My rest of the day was free and it was so satisfying to relax there. Indoor seats are limited but you also have the patio seats and the park! Best spot to people-watch, in my opinion :)

Yelp
I had a lemon square and raspberry iced tea, and overall enjoyed my visit. The lemon square was a generous portion. The staff was very friendly, and they had a nice selection of pastries, as well as ice cream sandwiches and of course coffee and other specialty drinks. Lots of patio space, and just across the street from riverdale park. Would definitely come again for an afternoon snack!

Derek S.

Yelp
Great coffee and friendly, welcoming service! Enjoyed the patio. Would definitely come again.

Yelp
Rooster Coffee House is one of my favourite Indie Coffee Passport stop! Maybe just walking along Riverdale Park breathing in the fresh air on this late Sunday afternoon just put me in that good and ready to chill mood? I know I will love Rooster even when I saw their storefront. Big floor to ceiling windows overlooking the park. When I walked in, the place was packed. But I did not feel that it was busy nor noisy, everyone were talking so softy.. and I felt that it was so quiet?! Busy full of people and quiet..... This is also the only Indie Coffee Passport Stop I got myself a treat.. those mega cookies displayed at the cash right in front of me were irresistible...and they have Nutella ($1.75) cookies... I just have to get one!! Cappuccino with latte art... my kind of roast from Te Aro...In a nice cup...from a friendly barista... all positive experience for me!! Sitting at the communal table enjoying my cookies with my coffee... heavenly sweet.

Yelp
This location of Rooster Coffee House is located on Broadview, south of Bloor (about a 10 min walk). This is probably my favourite location of Rooster due to the view of the Toronto skyline. Coming here to get a great cup of coffee while sitting on the patio (when it's warm) looking out at the city is one of my all time favourite things to do during the warmer months. Their espresso based drinks are made perfectly and the variety of treats to choose from are delightful. Can't wait to go back for more!

Yelp
This location was recommended by a fellow Yelper a while ago and I had it bookmarked for eons. So today in order to avoid the hustle and bustle of downtown I decided to take a long stroll in this area of town. Located on broadview this place a complete contrast to what lies a few minutes south on the street. This place quite quaint and is across from vast park. Setup is cozy and a nice patio completes the inviting space. Dessert selection was decent and most of the items looked tempting. Planning to have dessert later I decided to order coconut macaroon. The drink of choice was a cappuccino. Here is the verdict Espresso: Medium Crema': Very nice Milk: Frothed very well with nice microfoam . Not your average cappuccino. I would say 3.5 stars and with the help of the setup I would say 4 stars. Odd hitch is cash or debit only!

Yelp
Great spot. Overlooking the park. The Jarvis location and this one are 2 of the best coffee shops in Toronto (humble opinion), lot of great staff. Cool interiors, nice leather chairs!

S-popo K.

Yelp
No prices on anything to be found. Prices should be more transparent, you only know the price of something when you're paying for it. What's to stop them from discriminating against people and charging them different prices? How are we to know if prices aren't posted?

Yelp
I'm going to go right ahead and give this Rooster Coffee location a full 5 stars. It's my favourite, the original and the best of all the Rooster locations. It's not that the layout is the best (King St has that one). It isn't the convenient to home location that is the best (Jarvis St has that one). But of the Rooster trio its coffee is by far the best. I might even dare to say that in my three years here in Toronto the best latte I have had was right here. And it was magic. I've really grown to appreciate this Rooster location since I began participating in a regular Saturday morning group workout in Riverdale Park, which is directly opposite. After we sweat our ritual reward is to traipse over to Rooster for coffee (and perhaps treats - mmmm butter tarts) and chillax on the outdoor seats or over the road in the park. This location is always pretty busy, but fortunately the team are experts at whipping out quality drinks fast. The cashiers and baristas are always upbeat and friendly. Oh, the barristas. What pros. I think the key to success is that they seem to be the same few people every week. They know what they are doing and this place has managed to hold onto them for the long haul. Making great coffee is one thing. But making great coffee over and over is quite another. Consistency is key - and they have this down. Even though this location doesn't have the best/most spacious layout of all the Roosters it does have the most character. Probably because it was converted from an old house (I think?). The mismatched furniture adds a certain charm and the large wooden share table up the back is a beauty. It also gives of the most neighbourhoody vibe. Everyone from Riverdale/Broadview/Danforth comes in here and people know each other. There are millenials, young folks, older folks, families, fitness fiends and people with dogs. It kind of feels like a comfy old sweater. Keep up the great work Rooster, already looking forward to my next latte!

Yelp
Loved the place so cozy and cute would love to visit once everything is over, only 3 stars as when my boyfriend asked for something sweet barista was not too suggestive and advised to grab not a coffee drink even though he clearly asked for a coffee. My cappuccino was on point even though I did not feel too welcome there.
google avatar

Maggie S.

Yelp
Rooster Coffee House on Broadview is my fav café in the city, and for many good reasons! Their espresso is always on point (ask for their feature) and the cortado is one of the best around. The staff are genuinely friendly (sadly this is kinda rare in Toronto) and the owners are lovely humans. Their baked goods, sandwiches and other food offerings are top notch with a wide variety available. The decor and furniture is super comfy (how about those deep leather chairs?) and allows for a comfy hang-out and convo with your friends (or for a biz meeting). The location is amazing - the patio and view are incredible any time of the year! I have been coming here since they opened many moons ago and I was so sad when I moved to the west end, but I always visit when I travel east of the DVP.

Yelp
Love this spot. Cosy, lots of space to work if you need to. The Ginger Lemonade is very spicy and refreshing, and my friend's cappuccino was delicious. A nice spot to hang and chat, or to get out of the sun or rain.

Yelp
After passing by this place while riding my bike and they were always closed, I finally managed to adjust my schedule and got to try the place. The first time was good, with amazing and friendly service from the baristas. What I remember the most was how awesome the espresso tasted. While short it does pack a punch and leaves a nice after taste in the mouth. I've come back a few times now and am truly in love with the espresso and most of the people working here are great. In general they're super chill and the vibe is awesome. I've got a chance to try some of their pastries and they're ok. Definitely not mind blowing good but decent in both taste and price. What sets this place apart is the fantastic location. There's a great view of the Toronto skyline and no matter what time of day you're around, it's always very relaxing and a great place to people watch. The patio in front of the Cafe has a lot of seats and while they're mostly occupied I'm yet to get here and not find a place to sit down. Inside, there's plenty of room as well and the place keeps the chill vibes. Definitely a great find and will become a regular and update my review after a few more visits.

Yelp
Drink: Miami Haze I read about this on Toronto Life and holy moly macaroni was it sensational. If I were to make up a story as to how this was discovered it would be one day barbie grew a brain and suddenly decided to become an aspiring entrepreneur so she comes up with this great idea of opening a coffee shop, but since she's still a girly stick thin daughterofa kate moss, she puts a total T w i s t on it and not only does she colour her latte PINK, but she needs it to be sweet and aromatic... so the ingredients are things like almonds, cinnamon, organic vanilla extract and beetroot.. topped off with steamed milk. These are all ingredients that just SOUND like it clicks together, but more importantly it tastes amazing. Good job, Barbie. I mean, Jay Galbraith.. (:

David M.

Yelp
Coffee guy Jay (do coffee guys like to be called baristas, or has Starbucks ruined that title?) was so helpful, friendly and skilled when introducing me to a Cortado, that I had to bump this up to 5-stars. He takes his coffee seriously! For quality of the coffee, and comfort and decor of the space, this has become my favourite coffee shop. The view from the patio on a nice day, if you can get a seat, is incredible.

Yelp
Maybe it's a Feng Shui thing for me, while I enjoy the Te Aro brand Cappuccino but as I sat on that comfy Leather Sofa the bright light from the outdoors made me look like a Deer caught in Headlights. It did help with reading Newspaper. This Riverdale neighbourhood shop faces DIRECTLY the Riverdale Park and the floor-to-ceiling Windows made it very absorbent to natural light. Sounds like I hate sunlight, doesn't it? LOL Okay, If I give Te Aro 4 *Star* when I look at the bottom of the cup for Crema, Rooster Coffee deserves 3.5 *Star* or slightly higher 3.75(?). It still has that distinct Te Aro flavour everybody loves.

Yelp
Some amazing Americano blends, great coffee, and some of the tastiest baked goods I've ever had in a coffee shop. Some of these are even vegan for those who prefer that. I've tasted almost everything they have and honestly couldn't tell the difference between the them :P And for those who want to get some work done, there is even free WiFi. Awesome place, love it.

Yelp
This is a nice place. Staff is friendly. I got a coffee in a French press, which is one of my favourite ways to have it. It was the last one on the list, the finca Alaska one, and it was really good. The barista ended up bringing me some milk but I couldn't ruin the coffee by putting milk in it, it was really good on its own and I was really enjoying it as is. The butter tarts were super delicious. I had to skip out on the brownie that was in the fridge/freezer because the centre was frozen (but they seemed to not know that and they took them out of the freezer right away, which shows that they care!) The espresso is pretty good, though I'm not one for espresso really. I've only had espresso that I liked once, and that was in Paris, so I guess it's hard to match that in Toronto, but in Vancouver where I currently live, there's some good espresso to be had so I was hoping to be blown away (but not so much). Saw some guy actor when I was in there, I think. Not sure but I think I've seen him on TV. Best part ever: the board games that are on the large (and lopsided) communal table. Scrabble... DELUX ONYX EDITION SCRABBLE... So much fun! I spent at least a couple of hours playing Scrabble with a friend and consuming caffeine and sugary baked goods. Perfect formula for diabetes but it was lots of fun. The washrooms are also very impressive for a coffee shop. The decor is pretty nice. Maybe a bit plain because of the white/light coloured walls but the dark hardwood and the tables made out of trees were pretty cool. Some marble tables. Leather sofa chairs, old briefcases for decorations. They did a pretty nice job with the decor, it's definitely a cozy place. When I'm back in Toronto I'll make an effort to come back here, it's a nice spot for sure! They had me at Scrabble.

Yelp
Maybe its premature of me, only been in here fore 5 minutes, but I think I found one of my favourite coffee/cafe/workspaces. Right across from Riverdale park, I've passed by a lot and it's apparent its a neighbourhood haunt. The homey and rustic feel, plus the friendly staff make you feel at home, and among strangers, but strangely familiar. Ok, I'm swooning, but it helps that they have a Green Tea Latte. I find this so rarely in North America, They don't serve it at Starbucks (like in Hong Kong), but they do have it at Second Cup. Rarely you see it in the indie coffee houses. I'm impressed with the list of hot beverage conctions that they have including - Toasty Almond Latte - Walnut Green Tea Latte - Matcha Green Tea Latte - it's a bit more milky tasting than I would like, but still yummy - Chocolate Mint Latte (omg.) i need to try this and of course with the option of Soy Milk. Tons of the usual coffee options like lattes, cortados, etc etc. Also. Hot Apple Cider Hot (or Cold) Lemonade (which I also need to try) Hot Cranberry Apple They also have tons of munchies like cookies, macaroons (the coconut kind) and savouries like empandas. I can see myself spending an entire day here. Large communal table at the back, and it's full of boardgames. I think I might be back here one evening. And I'm currently sitting in a leather arm chair at perfect height, comfy but not too comfy I will sleep. I have surfaces to put my things and I'm being quite productive (except for this review). Free Wifi, free parking (between 10am-2 and 3 onwards) on Riverdale one street south.

Yelp
It's always nice to be in this Rooster at the Broadview location, which has a neighbourhood casual feel to it. Very different from the new Rooster location at Church and Jarvis area. My first time trying out their Matcha Latte. It's creamy and milky, with a good taste matcha. I'm usually a fan of Cortado, but this time, matcha seems to be the 'in' thing right now. When the weather is nice, you can always sit outside overlooking the park. Beautiful view!

Yelp
Visited with a friend due to solid reviews online - we weren't disappointed! I had drip coffee, she had a latte; both were wonderful. I had a beautifully flaky chocolate croissant with mine; I'd recommend it but would love to try some of the sandwiches next time. My favourite thing though, by far, was the atmosphere. Super friendly baristas, quick, friendly service, and vintage decor with exposed brick walls. I'd definitely recommend it to friends.
google avatar

Jerry Y.

Yelp
This is probably by far my most favourite coffee place in Toronto. The coffee quality is just as good as any great coffee shops in the city. However, what makes this joint special and me giving them a 5/5...it's simple, it's just like real estate investment, location, location, location. The coffee shop being beside Riverdale East Park is just absolute stunning. Any Sunday during the Summer when my wife and I don't know where to go, we would come here. We get our drinks and just get a picnic blanket and sit out in the park and read a book. However, Winter time here sucks, but thank god we know how to snowboard, lol.
google avatar

Carolyn T.

Yelp
Fantastic coffee. They make what is quite possibly the best almond milk latte in Toronto. The milk is steamed to the perfect consistency and the ratio of espresso to milk to micro foam is always perfect. The end result is rich, balanced, and smooth. Yum. Fantastic location. You'll find this place nestled in a more residential section of Broadview overlooking Riverdale Park. Take your coffee and baked good outside where you'll be treated to a fantastic view of the Toronto skyline. Fantastic ambiance. The baristas are super friendly and not at all coffee snobs that you sometimes find at third wave coffee shops. The decor is all exposed brick, antique wood, and vintage knick knacks that will make you feel right at home. There's a fair amount of seating and whether you're there to do some work, catch up with friends, or just spend a relaxing morning with a coffee and a book, you'll find your place. Need I say more?

Yelp
This was a first date location on a weekend. A very cozy place but It was very busy and stuffed. We had to grab our coffees and go. Decent coffee, Best part was the smiling Barista. Highly recommend, if you are looking for a cafe in the down time.
google avatar

Yelp
This is a very popular place. There are seats, but most are already taken. People are having a cup of coffee and talking about many things like businesses, relationships, and etc. Some people are reading news papers and other people are bringing their laptops. Their croissants are so good and coffee is excellent. There are varieties of drinks. I am going to take Honey Ginger Latte the next time!

Yelp
Was here at 730am on a Saturday and already there were lines and people hanging out on the patio. Seems like a spot for locals - lots of chatting between the servers and people. Really friendly environment that makes me want to be a morning person, jog here every weekend morning, and get a nice and comforting cortado or latte to sip and relax. Too bad I'm lazy. Guess I'll just drip my maxwell house at 11am on a Saturday instead. (But really great coffeeshop).

Yelp
Great neighbourhood cafe. Good background barista chatter if you're trying to concentrate and looking to keep up w it you're screwed. Old restoration hardware worn leather comfy chairs barn board decor creates kitsch warmth and appeal. The best part is the view of the park and the spectacular view of downtown Toronto.

Yelp
I finally came here to meet up with friend and fellow yelper Jay, and I'm struggling between 3 and 4 stars. This location is great - its right in the middle of a neighbourhood, overlooking a park, so you get this feeling of serenity and community as you glance at the infamous Toronto skyline. There's creative seating inside (communal tables, comfy chairs, high bars with stools) and simple outdoor seating. Mixed bag of patrons - students on laptops, adults with newspapers, friends catching up...I think I even spotted a first date! I read a lot of raving Yelp reviews about the almond milk latte, which was fine. Good but not anything different. There was a foam design but it was hardly discernible. I also had a toffee coffee crunch cookie which was also good. I guess it was the end of the day so there wasn't much selection of treats - I would have loved a sandwich or croissant. I also would have loved if staff told me where or when to expect my drink. I felt so awkward standing around, pretending to look at the coffees they had on display. Ultimately, its a good spot for coffee/coffee house experience. Unfortunately, its a bit far from me so I'll only head over if I'm in the area or if a friend recommended it.

Yelp
Best coffee in the east end, the staff are lovely & the view is amazing. My boyfriend showed me this place & we go almost every single morning. It's just great !

Yelp
Perfect Sunday afternoon break. The cafe is located close to the park along the Don Valley and it offers a fantastic scenic view of Toronto, simply amazing. I can't wait to come during summer and enjoy their outdoor space. We tried a classic espresso and a latte. The coffee is one of the best I've tried in town (hints of flowers and strawberry). The latte art was well made and simple (a nice heart). We tried their Dates Square cake, very good but a bit too sweet after multiple bites (excellent to share). We came here to work but there not enough tables/space. It is very crowed but not loud. Perfect to enjoy a coffee with friends but not to work. On the plus side, the have parking on the back and there is plenty on the street (it is easily accessible via Street car).

Yelp
Fav spot in town! Great coffee & tea lattes - try the toasted almond latte tea - and always smiling stuff. You can find delicious treats (like my favourite cinnamon bans). Vegan options, and lactose-free milk available too. Well, also had the best view of Toronto skyline. Such a beauty! It's usually crowded as any great place should be.
