A five star experience. The food is expensive so expect $15 a person, but they got the best banana pudding in the North. The South still wins. But fast food is almost that expensive these days. The same goes for Nashville Hot Chicken. Its the best I've had out of Nashville. Let's show this restaurant show love.

I’m very happy with this place. I saw other reviews and had to try it. The sandwiches are absolutely delicious. The place is clean. Not too long of a wait and lots of space to find a seat. I had the rooster deluxe sandwich with the waffle fries.

Absolutely love this place. I’ve had every chicken sandwhich and every one of them slaps. Buffalo Mac? Incredible. Brownies? Immaculate. Waffle fries? I’d sell my firstborn for a sniff. But the thing that ties this whole place together is the owners are incredibly kind people. 10/10 would smash

The food was amazing, the chicken was crispy and juicy, the chicken in the sandwiches is a large portion, first time coming to this restaurant and we absolutely loved it! We are definitely comings back. 100% recomend!

$18 Hot Honey chicken sandwich was barely warm. Huge sandwich drenched in sauce. Waffle Fries ok

Started with peach lemonade and hibiscus lemonade. Both were delicious (got some more to go too). The peach was sweeter. Both had real fruit in it too! The food didn't take all that long. And the sandwiches are huge! The chicken was hot and crispy on both and seasoned well. We got the Nashville hot chicken sandwich (the one with the fries) and the hot honey chicken sandwich. They weren't very spicy but they were packed full of flavor and everything was delicious and probably the best chicken sandwich around. The waffle fries were very crispy and amazing! This is a must try if you are in Hastings! The pistachio baklava was also really good! Perfect size! The employees were very kind and the owner was as well! I look forward to going back again soon!

Ok hands down best chicken I have ever had !!!! Staff amazing and very friendly . Atmosphere you feel like right at home, super clean organized great booth style seats i mean the place is amazing. Now the portion to price i completely disagree with anyone saying it is high priced. I got the Nashville hot sandwhich large soda it's literally two sandwiches worth in the portion size !!!!! I had to take a picture of the size next to my hand but that still doesn't do the size justice. All in all this place is absolutely amazing. And the people here the family atmosphere it's amazing they are super nice . Also food was served very quick and done perfect. I will be coming back and will go out of my way to eat here as often as I can . Put it on your list as top places to eat in the Midwest.

Food is excellent! The chicken sandwich is HUGE - very filling & delicious. The lemonade is also amazing - raspberry lemonade came with lots of fresh fruit in it! The inside is unimpressive but clean & spacious. My only complaint was the wait time - I think we waited 15-20 minutes for food "to go" for 2 people.

I ordered from DoorDash so I cannot tell you about the location. BUT....if you want GENEROUS portions and FLAVORFUL food, you absolutely must try this chicken!! It is so much more than I expected! My wife ordered the Original Chicken Wrap. It was larger than the thickest burrito that ever left Chipotle. She took out about half of a chicken worth of meat to finish most of the wrap with the veggies! I ordered the Parmesan Garlic Chicken with Rice. In the description it says, flavorful rice and they mean it! The flavor builds from a gentle pleasant taste to a more spicy taste as you eat it. The chicken itself tastes more spicy the entire time but the white meat itself is the less flavorful meat keeping the heat at bay. I had one black container of food, PACKED to the top. Enough for 3 meals...no exaggeration! Even the waffle fries are made with fresh flavor. If you find it too much, you can place special ordering instructions. Unique for the area, delicious, generous, thoughtful, and a place that I would be more than happy to return to and recommend!

Food was JUST ok. Staff was very nice, and restaurant was clean. I was not wowed by anything and the pistachio baklava was not good at all. The lemonade was amazing though!!!

Just meh... overpriced imo. $74 for a family of 4 for chicken strips and lemonade. Chicken strips were okayish. Dipping sauce was like Cane's.

Service was fine. The chicken was fine, but I got the Korean Chicken rice Bowl for $13.99 my boyfriend got the chicken hot honey crispy sandwich meal for $15.99. The Korean BBQ felt like an imposter. It was too tangy, too much vinegar based. It was spicy and not real Korean BBQ. If it's not made by actual Koreans, it's not going to be good. My boyfriend's sandwich was good, but extremely messy. We thought it would've been in a sauce, not drizzled honey all over. It was extremely messy and sticky. Not a way to serve this sandwich. The fries are waffle fries and I'm not a fan of the larger fries. The only thing they got right was the rice. Meh. I wouldn't come back here to eat.

Why do I keep giving this place a try? I'm done! Overpriced tasteless chicken. Totally gross sides. Tried the greasy catfish . Maybe try a different business like construction or dry cleaning! You certainly don't have a gift for the food industry! P.S. fell free to hire someone with a personality!

Amazing service, these people deserve more business! Food is great too, they offered me a piece of cake while I waited and it was so good!

My husband and I ordered Roosters on Saturday for dinner. It was absolutely delicious. I got the fried chicken sandwich with fries ... not just any fries waffle fries! My husband got the Nashville Hot chicken sandwich and was amazed at how good it was. The lemonade was phenomenal and I've been craving it since. The service was great and the employees were knowledgable on what to order. I forgot to take pictures of our meal, it was 10 out of 10.

I ordered the original chicken sandwich. The chicken breast was actually so large that I had to cut the sides off to eat the sandwich. I think my whole meal was 14 dollars. Well worth it. The chicken was fresh and hot. And their rooster sauce they make in house, is delicious. The staff were very nice and professional. I would recommend this place to anyone.

The chicken was great! Definitely a step above the chicken spots I'm accustomed to in the Midwest. Their signature sauce definitely has a similar vibe to the signature sauces you may taste in southern chicken establishments. Would definitely go again.

Everything is just average about this place, the quality of the food, the service, and the ambiance. It's not "too" bad for the price you pay, but don't go in with high expectations, just another fast food joint for chicken.

It's alright. The Mac and cheese is a bit bland and the chicken is chewy. There isn't much else to say. Add some seasoning to the Mac and cheese. Throw in some bread crumbs. I don't know. The cheese works and I like how smooth it is but there just isn't a lot of flavor. And the chicken has a good crunch and a nice seasoning but the meat itself is just chewy. Also make some chicken Pattie's. With the chicken so big, everything in the sandwich slid right out. Onions are fresh and crisp. Pickles are tasty and not too over powering. Sauce tastes good and the cheese is complimentary. When I could eat it all in one, it was very tasty. Yelp when something is mid then there isn't much to say. It's not bad enough to complain nor good enough to rave. It's "you'll get there. Keep trying". Is that long enough for you yelp?

Great food!!!! We did 1,600 wings for a graduation party. All was spot on!!!!! Normally we would get any of the chicken sandwiches. Now this is my go-to place for wings.

We stopped by on our way home, which was 30 minutes away. I really wanted to like the place, my daughter raves about the chicken tenders and rooster sauce, but it was disappointing from start to finish. First, we placed our order and the girl said could you take this to go because we close at 8. It was only 7:25! I said we won't take more than 10-15 minutes to eat how long are you going to take to cook it?! There were no orders ahead of us so I didn't figure it would take long. It took about 15 minutes which was fine but 5 minutes into eating the same girl brings a small trash can and sits it by our table and says, we're taking out the garbage so if you could put your trash in here when you're done that'd be great. WTH?! It was 7:45?! Now we're feeling unwanted and pressured to get the hell out. The Mac and cheese was good but not as creamy as the pic on the menu, the tenders in my chicken wrap were extremely dry and my husband said though the batter was good, the texture of his fish was like jello or mush and threw half of it out. I was going to say something to the staff but since we already felt unwanted we just left, promptly at 8. Between the high price (34.57 for fish w/waffle fries and drink, chicken tender wrap and cheesy Mac), lackluster quality and totally unprofessional service, we are unlikely to ever return.

I just finished my third takeout order from Rooster in Hastings. I usually get the Nashville hot chicken sandwich and I love it! Today we got the 30 boneless wings and that is what prompts this review. I am always concerned about ordering boneless wings because you don't know when you will get chicken vs nugget. Let me tell you these were substantial 2 to 3 bites each and fantastic! Pretty sure they are using tenders and just cutting them down because this is big chunks of white meat. Easy ordering for pickup through their website and the order was hot and ready right on time. Great food at a fair price. All you Cane's fans are missing out because this place is waaaay better!

my girlfriends, and I frequent roosters for lunch... I absolutely love their food! Every time I order the roosters deluxe, no lie the chicken breast is about the size of my face! I would highly highly suggest if you haven't gone yet you need to try it! I've ordered the buffalo mac & cheese multiple times and it is so yummy. They have great flavored lemonades and it's decently priced.

I was nervous due to all the bad reviews but was gladly proven wrong! Had the chicken strips myself-if you like lightly battered chicken strips like I do than you will like this place. The ratio of chicken to bread is spot on, in my opinion. The waffle fries are great as well. The person I was with had a sandwich and it was huge and crispy!

I guess if you like white pasty chicken it's up to you I prefer mine golden brown and crisp

We stopped by Roosters Chicken Restaurant today April 21st . We both had the crispy Deluxe Original sandwich . Our sandwich was delicious and friendly service. We will differently return and enjoy more meals.

Amazing Nashville chicken sandwich! Quantities are large and the service was great. Will be back!

Just tried this place for the first time. Had the Nashville Chicken sandwich- it was fresh, hot, crispy and delicious! It's an entire chicken breast!! Looking forward to trying the chicken strips next time!!

I have 4 experiences with Red Rooster. 2 dine ins and 2 take outs. The first dine in was the Greek salad which was good. The next two visits were take outs. One they forgot a salad which was on the ticket and paid for. The next take out I tried the Greek salad again. No dressing was included. Tried dine in yesterday late afternoon and went with the deluxe rooster sandwich. They left off the coleslaw. I'm probably done with them.

I give a 3.5 - a half star deduction for the Mac and cheese alone, and another star for not impressing me thoroughly... don't get me wrong, you won't get a better chicken basket in town anywhere other than here.
