Delicious 🥰 The charcoal lemonade was a bit on the sweet side

Google
Come here for the breakfast was the best idea! Healthy, tasty, workers are so kind 🙌 fast service. Highly recommend!

Google
Well, I messed up, it's a juicery and I ended up getting a coffee chocolate smoothie called "cafecito" lol however the smoothie was good, nothing too wow... the Toast on the other hand "Fuerte"toast.. that amazed me! Very delicious for its price with a hint of spice... Overall positive experience, customer service is good.. nice clean space inside! With a variety of juices, smoothie, waffle, toast, juice booster shots. Almost comparable to Kreation Would recommend to give it a try

Google
BEST açaí bowl I’ve had. It’s cold and fresh, the fruit is delicious! Kind employees. There was a bit of a wait but it was worth it!

Google
Been coming to this business for years. The acai bowls are always consistent with a great taste, but I feel their smoothies are a hit or miss. Today I got their chocolate wasted and it was a really good drink. Sometimes I'll get their cielito coffee smoothie and I feel it is lacking in flavor and caffeine. While I greatly recommend their bowls the smoothies need work.

Google
Seriously such an amazing juice and acai place with good vibes. Nice people working here as well. This acai snob Had the best bowl in LA IMHO. Lucky to have found this gem while working in the area!! Thanks:)

Google
Got the gluten free waffles and the Pink Floyd smoothie. Overall not bad for a healthier breakfast option.

Google
Recently discovered this local gem! Family friend shared acai bowl with me. Great value and freshness at its best. Had to return to enjoy it again. Ordered online, waited a few mins for prep & pick up. Staff was friendly and enjoyed the cleanliness inside. Love the various options available. My picky son enjoyed, so that's definitely a win! Will be returning to try out some of their other offerings.

Yelp
They have an amazing selection of drinks of food that definitely helps your body out. I always come in for their ginger shots and they get the job done. Service is quick and amazing.

Sarah D.

Yelp
I have been coming here for years. Huge fan since they started out at the Downey Farmers Market .. so proud of them for how much they have grown!! Their juices are incredible, I love their grab & go options. These are my go to!! The employees are so nice!! It was two girls and they were so quick too. It's such a cute store too ! I just tried their açaí bowls and I loved the containers they are in. They have the option between almond milk or juice, I went with the almond milk and it was delicious !! So fresh, more sorbet than creamy which I prefer ! I will continue to be back here & so should you !!! RUN OVER HERE !!!

Nadi M.

Yelp
Health is wealth. This place has an amazing selection of juices, smoothies and healthy snacks! But BE AWARE of the manager with the glasses, she is hella rude. The Energy and service in there is much nicer when she isn't around

Jessica M.

Yelp
If you're looking for affordable healthy food in the area this is place for you. They've got cold pressed juices in the fridge, smoothie options, toasts and waffles, and ample parking.

Stanley P.

Yelp
Quick stop for these two!!! Love the Aphrodite, it's slightly better than the Earthy. And these date bites are always the best. This the best duo

Jacob S.

Yelp
I've ordered here a few times - the smoothies are good and have been consistent. The only issue would be the price - it's a little expensive comapred to other places.

Erica G.

Yelp
Good, but so freaking expensive. They raised their prices on the Açaí bowls by $3! That's crazy. And they use store bought frozen packets of açaí. They don't even put that much, they use more fruit (mostly banana) to make it more voluminous. I think it's a rip off. I always came for the Monster bowl, that was $13 not too long ago, now it's $16 and their recipe and add ins stayed the same. If they put a little bit of gold I might've understood, but they don't. So disappointed.

Yelp
Update: I ordered another glow smoothie since I was visiting my parent in HP and I'm not sure if they heard me right. The receipt said glow smoothie but what I got was really dark green, had a lot of seeds in it. The last time I got it was was really fine, light green and smooth. This time it was really chunky, grainy and tasted like nothing. I like the concept since HP doesn't have a lot healthy options but it's my last time coming. Every time I come here I order the same thing and it taste different every time. I come sporadically throughout the years but don't think I'll come back anymore. I ended up taking a few sips and threw it in the trash when I refilled for gas. Pictured is the glow smoothie I had the first time which I kinda liked a few weeks ago.

Yelp
I've driven out twice to only find them closed. Please update your hours and days. It's a huge inconvenience to drive out to find it closed.

Gisselle M.

Yelp
I love their avocado toast so much. The overnight oats are pretty good too but my biggest motive to drive over is the toast. Service is pretty good, the space is small but has plenty of seating. I recommend placing a phone order bc walk-in orders take like 10-15 minutes.

Yvette G.

Yelp
Love this place shut out to the guy that did my bowl it was amazing , but has really bad customer service when taking my order. I couldn't even ask a question and she replied back to me with bad attitude. Please managers talk to your team about customer service. Thank you.

Wendy S.

Yelp
I've been coming to Root of Life Juicery since they opened and honestly they are my favorite Juicery and will continue to support. Today I ordered delivery for the first time (I normally do pick-ups) and my Açaí bowl was wrong. I ordered two Cali Bowls and neither looked like a Cali Bowl. I called them to see if maybe they were out of pitaya which is the reason why I got the Cali Bowl and the young lady that answered apologized for the inconvenience "because they are short staff and have a lot of orders". She kindly offer a discount for my next purchase but now I'm stuck with two açaí bowls that look more like Monster bowls.

Evelyn S.

Yelp
Juice was delicious!! $10 for the size is a great price!!! Plus it's healthy!!!!! Customer service was great and the place is clean!!!

Myrella N.

Yelp
Great delicious açaí bowl's and juices the place is always nice and clean and great customer service you guys need to try..

Aylin O.

Yelp
No fresh toast. Aguacate negro. Por favor tengan cuidado al comprar comida. Esta mañana recogí este pan tostado y el aguacate estaba de color negro y de días.

Leslie A.

Yelp
I enjoyed my açaí bowl so much and the service. It's a good portion and good taste. I would recommend this place to my friends.

Kimberly C.

Yelp
The Cali bowl is my go to. Acai bowls are always so delicious, service is ok. Would give a 5 star if service was better I really recommend to come here though BEST acai bowls

Arlene V.

Yelp
They have the best acai bowls. The place is clean and organized. I totally recommend this place.

Jessica O.

Yelp
I love this place! Although I am not a regular, every time I come, the quality and service are consistent. I gravitate towards their smoothies, so I can't speak on their bowls, but I'd assume they're equally good.

Melissa C.

Yelp
Been coming out here for the açaí bowls and juices It's a bit of a drive but it's absolutely worth it. Today we actually had the açaí bowl (btw I didn't get to take a pic) it was that good, we devoured that bowl so fast!! It's a pretty large container and they stuff it all the way to the top, so it's shareable. This time we ate at the location and let me tell you it gets real busy, so give yourself some time and don't rush. The staff is always nice, and that times I've gone I've felt welcomed. Try it out. You'll def be coming back for more

Belen R.

Yelp
I really liked this place! I recently came for an acai bowl and they gave a huge portion. I didn't like that it was in a huge, vertical container and all the good stuff was piled on top, and that I ordered the bowl with peanut butter and the PB was mixed into the acai instead of served as a topping, but overall it was tasty! I got the cafe de chocolate and it was good too! I recommend this place

Diana G.

Yelp
I usually enjoy their smoothies. I got the Cream of Berries smoothie and it did not taste like the first one I had. All I could taste is the hempseeds and almond milk. I didn't really taste any of the strawberries or blueberries. I honestly could have made a better smoothie at home. If they are changing their recipes to use less berries, I don't think I will return.

Kevin C.

Yelp
Came to this place after an afternoon workout and I've been wanting to try it out for quite some time, but it was always closed when I was free. I finally got to try it out and I forgot to take a picture of the yogurt I got and I think the yogurt was worth it. They had a pineapple, strawberries, nuts, and Chia seeds with Greek yogurt a good portion and the food was fresh. As for the smoothie, I enjoyed it, but not as much as the Greek yogurt. I feel like the smoothie was a bit too overwhelming with the agave. They added into it, which took away from other flavors, but aside from that wasn't too bad. Did you guys ever get a chance to go? I would definitely recommend grabbing one of those Greek yogurts. It was tasty and refreshing.

Joseph E.

Yelp
Fresh Juices, Smoothies, Acai Bowl's and more. The staff was very informative and suprisingly knowledgeable. They seem to have a real love for this Business . l purchased a one day cleanse.

Stephania C.

Yelp
I've had a few of their items and have always been good. They have always been grab and go items and now I understand why whenever my parents would get something from here it would be grab and go. Their time management is very poor. When they have walk-in customers, they will tell them they have to wait close to 30 minutes because they won't pause on making the phone orders to work on a walk in order. So if you ever want to try more of the items in the menu, you might want ti order about an hour ahead or be ready to wait a long time in this place that doesn't really have much of a waiting/seating area.

Jacqueline Z.

Yelp
Phone is on voicemail - state's mailbox is full! Unable to place phone orders! Staff act unaware and ignore issue! ( Not the first incident) Near 15 minutes to place order. No-one was in-line I was next and even after I ordered and was instructed to sit on the stool and wait, I was kicked outside to wait for my take out by the owner. I was initially told to sit on stool by cashier, than all customers kicked outside to wait by the owner. I have a handy cap placard, I have a physical disability, I was parked in Handy Cap. My feet were in pain, and waiting standing up outside. I had a jacket and was still cold,It was windy. I waited it was over 30 minutes, my order consisted of a monster bowl. Over 30 minutes to get my food. Customers outside commenting how rude owner was sending us outside. How they had stopped buying for near a year too. I walked inside no-one was working on my order it was left aside. I asked owner is my order ready? She made a face asking if my buzzer had rang. I explained I need to return to work. I told her to keep my order and walked away ! It's shitty service! Rude, degrading even the staff seem stressed and rushed. I had stopped going cause of the rude attitude during covid thought it had changed. Service there is horrible, faces, rushed, stressed staff, phone doesn't work continuously to place orders and pick up. Outside customers stated they had stopped going over a year too. Not returning! This isn't my first issue, and It wasn't just the phone issue. I have tolerated alot. It doesn't take 1 issue for me to yelp negatively. Please look at comments from other customers below. They also described bad customer service and wrong food prepared. I work in SG I pick up my line in my car to order. If you were planning on waiting for your lunch and was told to sit and wait than kicked outside by the owner along with others and than others shared same incidents and disturbed, how would you feel? I didn't bother to get my refund, I didn't want the food anymore. No more waiting or standing for me. My pain on feet was bad and hard. Yes! It was garbage at this point to me! No point in returning. I didn't eat lunch before returning to the office. Yes, I did tell owner "keep it ! It's Garbage!" Try walking in as a customer and stand on the other end! Being the owner doesn't necessarily make your excuses valid. I too have tolerated alot even shared with owner prior of her own employee sharing their comments of owner making employees work through their breaks and or lunches. (Two years or so ago) I gave Root of Life the benefit of the doubt continuously. If you know lunch time gets busy plan ahead, don't leave the phone of the hook to prepare online order's only to avoid the landline or cell you need to take orders too. check your voicemail, hire or plan staff accordingly, it's not my store to teach you how to run a buisness or treat your customers. You've been in buisness in HP for a while. Take a vacation if your overwhelmed! Try walking in as a customer maybe this input will serve you as constructive criticism. Good Riddance & God Bless

Yelp
Used to love ordering from here. Today, Sunday, March 22 at 9:55am, my husband ordered an Amazonian Super Smoothie. We he got home, I asked what he bought me. He said an Amazonian Smoothie. It did not look like Amazonian. Sipped a little and tasted like a graining flavor not appealing or tasteful. I have been coming here since it opened and when I called to complain, they transferred me to a "lead" personnel as there is no manager. She did not want to give a name, but told me I can contact her manager. Again, I loved this place but the personnel hired does not know what they are doing and are unprofessional.

Matthew R.

Yelp
Always greeted by friendly staff. Always walk into a clean environment. High quality superfoods in a food deserted community. Highly recommended!

Jay M.

Yelp
This place is amazing, best smoothies I've had in the Los Angeles area! Great service, very clean, I had the blue majik smoothie and dark detox and they are both amazing. Feels like great energy soon as you walk in. Oh yeah the avocado toast is also really good!

Carlos G.

Yelp
Over priced. Every time I go in there I swear prices increase. There's never no parking. Staff is rude. Only reason they got business is because there's literally no other healthy options available nearby. I h8 the place and the neighborhood.

Nessa B.

Yelp
GOOD FOOD, AVERAGE CUSTOMER SERVICE As a first time customer I'm going to give this place 3 stars. A coworker recommended this place to me so I thought I'd give it a shot. The store is located in Huntington Park, so location isn't the greatest. However, the store is a small cute shop. Decoratively, its a whole vibe. I wish that the customer service was a little better, just to get the whole experience. I ordered a detox bowl because I thought it would best fit the kind of meal plan I'm trying to follow. I was actually surprised that they didn't have a nutritional fact sheet, so thats the downside to this. Presentation was neat & pretty good. I think if they really want to take this to another level they should practice good customer service. "Hi how are you doing? How can I help you? Thanks for stopping by" Its those things that make you feel good and keep coming back.

Jessica A.

Yelp
So i gave this place another chance. I went in, ordered ahead. And again, they do not fill up the bowls how they use to. The price i paid was $16.50. I apple paid and the tip was automatically added to my order when i had put no tip. But the price for the bowl itself is $15. I understand prices on things have gone up, but if im going to pay $15 for this, atleast fill it up all the way with the actual bowl itself and not put a ton of granola and fruit. I dont mind paying a price for something if im getting what its worth. To me, this isnt it anymore. Before the bowls were $10 or around there. I think even $9. And they used to get filled up. Then they went up to like $12-13 and thats when they started to not get filled up. Are they good? Yes. But just try filling them up. The price isnt the issue, its the amount i get.

Najlaa S.

Yelp
I recently purchased 2 of their 3 day cleanses about over 300$! They ran out of the juices that are suppose to come in the kit and replaced them with juices that work "similar"which already is unfair. 2 days into the cleanse some of the juices tasted old, some were even sour.. had to toss them out. What a waste of money. Never coming back again.

Madelyn R.

Yelp
Perfect place for someone like me who is lactose intolerant Loved how fresh it was inside, clean space, good music, good vibes. Now when it comes to the food I am definitely making a stop there at least once a week to try everything on the menu , today I got the Fuerte toast loaded with guac ,had a good touch of spice and a nice bite to the toast , I give it a 10/10. My sister got a xocolatte which is her go to it's a mixture of chocolate and cayenne pepper , i tried some myself and it was good and had a very unique taste 7/10. Last but not least I got a monster bowl with the choice of either almond butter or peanut butter, I got peanut butter , this bowl was easily a 10/10 everything was so fresh and each spoonful I got was filled with great texture , beautiful presentation and very colorful . Wait, i almost forgot they had some free samples of some of their juices, we tried the "paint it black" juice and also one called "Buddha" I preferred " paint it black " but both were yummy

Cindy S.

Yelp
Honestly the acai itself had no flavor, the rest of the toppings was what added the flavor.

Bartolo A.

Yelp
Amazing service pressed juice is good, acày ? I will find out! looks fresh so far :)

Alexis B.

Yelp
HEALTHY JUICE! juice never fails! has all sorts of options when it comes to health! service is chillax and they're nice people(: place is really well done! it's a cute place to come get juice!

Yelp
"A Rocky Smoothie Encounter" I had a rather unpleasant experience with the customer service at this place, and let me tell you, it left me far from impressed! I visited with my family based on a recommendation and looking forward to trying it out. Usually, I opt for bowls from small mom and pop shops or Jamba Juice if that's the only thing around, as I understand that the consistency can vary, I always request a thicker and chunkier blend from the person taking my order. The last thing I want is a bowl that resembles a milkshake when I finally reach my destination. Until now, I've never had trouble with this simple request, as adjusting blending time and other factors isn't exactly rocket science. This time, I ordered a monster bowl and asked the lady behind the counter if she could make it thicker. Disappointingly, she informed me that their smoothies come premeasured and cannot be adjusted (note: most Juicery's have premeasured products as well). Willing to go the extra mile, I offered to pay extra for additional fruit if that would help achieve the desired thickness. She said she would consult her manager. Eventually, another lady appeared and asked if she could assist me. I eagerly explained my request, hoping for a more favorable response. Unfortunately, she echoed the previous girl's answer, reiterating that all their bowls are inherently thick and cannot be altered. I tried to clarify by mentioning my experiences at Jamba Juice, but before I could finish, she condescendingly interjected, "Oh, sorry, we don't sell Jamba Juices here." Frustrated, I replied, "I know you don't sell Jamba juice here, what I am trying to explain is that sometimes when I order bowls, the consistency is inconsistent, and I simply want mine to be thicker." She then suggested the only option would be to use less milk (why didn't she start with that?). I agreed to give it a try, but she then mentioned that that would reduce two ounces to my bowl, I hesitated, wanting to visualize the amount. Curiously, she seemed certain about the exact measurement and even implied it was a significant loss. At this point, she straight out told me that their bowls would not meet my standards. Annoyed, I clarified, "This isn't about my standards; I just want my bowl to be thicker than usual." In a dismissive tone, she responded, "Well, it's frozen fruit, sooooo... why wouldn't it be thick?" Her condescension escalated this time, accompanied by face and hand gestures. I rebutted, stating, "Other places use frozen fruit too, and it can still end up runny." Her solution? She suggested that my family try their bowls first and then decide if I'd like to order mine later. Ultimately, we ended up ordering only their bowls, as I chose not to order mine. I value excellent customer service, having worked in the field myself. It's a crucial aspect for me when supporting small businesses. Even if the food is good, if the customer service falls short, I find it difficult to continue my support. The bowls we ordered turned out okay. My husband thought his was decent but not exceptional, while my son thoroughly enjoyed his. The consistency matched that of other places, initially thick but gradually thinning by the time we reached our destination, which was only an eight-minute drive. My son even had to put his bowl in the freezer briefly. However, my husband was able to eat his right away. Overall, this encounter left a sour taste in my mouth, not due to the bowls themselves, but because of the disappointing customer service and the dismissive attitude towards a simple request.

Giana Z.

Yelp
Rude non knowledgeable staff bad customer service and for what? Its so simple to be nice i really want to support a family business but why do you guys hire such bad staff??? They never know how to answer any question and generally seem to be upset they are working there. Very confused about this if im driving to spend $10 for a smoothie cant yal just be nice. This is not about the money. This is not an isolated incident everytime i go inside of there your staff is rude. My uncle and aunt have gone separately and so has my father due to my recommendation and they all mentioned the same thing. Its not about a new employee or old employee even your shift manager was rude. Also the worst thing you can do on here is write to a customer that your rude staff is a reflection of their attitude. What attitude? All your negative reviews from even a year ago state the same exact thing have you not taken a look at them? They Don't have the menu inside and make you go outside and typically wait in the sun they blame it on Covid but the restrictions have been lifted and they still have the same rude way literally the worst customer service and even if there is no line they make you wait.

Alejandra P.

Yelp
Flop. This is my first time here and it's probably my last. All I ordered was a smoothie and an açaí bowl (it wasn't busy) and it took 25 minutes! The açaí was mediocre at best-- I ordered the Monster Bowl. All the toppings are the basic ones you can get at any other place they sell açaí. The smoothie we ordered was Dark Detox. Pretty good, but not enough to make me come back. A lot of reviews talk about bad customer service, my experience wasn't horrible (but i only exchanged a couple of words with the cashier), however my biggest complaint is the wait time. It shouldn't take almost half an hour for two items.

Yessica C.

Yelp
The monster bowl was sooo good! I have had a few acai bowls having lived in LA my entire life and this place really does it well. I like the fact that there is so many flavors and textures, but it's not overly sweet. I typically prefer a lighter flavor for the Acai base and this place nailed it. I also enjoy the option of Almond butter and all the add ons you can choose from. I will definitely come back to try other bowls and juices. The hemp granola is also really good and provides extra nutrients!

Julie M.

Yelp
I'm so glad this place is open back home Great customer service, amazing selection of toppings and juices. The salads and yogurts are deliciously crafted. This means the all natural ingredients used go well with each other. If you're a vegan or veggie Latino, you will love this place.

Deborah K.

Yelp
Poor customer service, short staffing. Ordered over the phone, said it will take 16-18 mins. Arrived around that time, lady wouldn't let me talk and told me to wait in line 3x, where another man walked in not standing in line and got their online order addressed immediately. They hadn't started making it until I checked in, where I was given a number to wait again. Whole process 27 mins. Food is good but don't expect it to be ready until after you've checked in in-person. Doesn't matter whether you ordered online or over the phone.

Josefina F.

Yelp
I've been coming here since 2020?? 55 pounds down later I've never had rude customer service and their bowls are great... Not sure what's up with the bad reviews.

Lucio T.

Yelp
This place makes very awesome delicious acai bowls. I drive a distance for the bowls !!!!! Just make sure to bring the black American Express card. Lol. So work that it !!!!!

Martha R.

Yelp
This was my first time here, and I can't wait to come back and try different things on the menu. I loved the monster bowl. The açaí blend goes perfect with the toppings that are included. Service was ok, it wasn't the best. But I did love it here!

Vanessa R.

Yelp
Overly priced drinks and açaí bowls. They're more expensive than important açaí base I've had from Brazilian açaí superfood places. Especially for the community that the location is placed. Takes advantage at the fact there's not many local superfood spots. Bummer.

Gabriella H.

Yelp
Super bomb My fav is viva la vida - green smoothie They only take phone orders so call ahead of time... but most def worth it Super treats

Yezi S.

Yelp
I drove far to get my favorite açaí bowl! It's was closed. At least leave a voice mail stating it will closed for Maintenance. Waste of gas and time.
