I debated whether to rate the place four or five stars: on the one hand, the food is simply excellent, but on the other hand, there are several drawbacks that I personally found bothersome. In the end, I chose to be a bit strict and gave it four stars – though I can fully understand those who rated it five. Positives: The food is excellent. Every dish I tasted was wonderful, including the cheese substitutes (which, according to the chef, are made on-site). The kitchen is creative, colorful, and original, and the presentation is meticulous and beautiful. The restaurant’s location greatly enhances the experience – inside the walls of the Old City, in an authentic stone hall with high ceilings. Negatives: The acoustics in the dining area are quite poor; it’s very noisy and makes it difficult to have a pleasant conversation. In terms of design, I feel the potential of the historic setting wasn’t fully utilized – they could have made much more of it. Despite the impressive location, the atmosphere feels somewhat like a cafeteria. Parking is relatively far, costs money, and isn’t particularly cheap. The restrooms are outside the restaurant and a short, inconvenient walk away. In conclusion: This is definitely a place worth returning to, with the hope that they will continue to improve the elements surrounding the culinary experience itself.

Food was delicious and amazing!!! Fantastic flavors!!! I’m writing from the restaurant while we’re eating lol. Everything came out fast and fresh and the owner came over to introduce himself. Food was fresh and delish!!!! We did a day trip to Akko / acre and this was dinner. It was amazing!!!

The most amazing experience!!! Located in Akko, the restaurant is nestled in a courtyard lined by trees and nestled in the middle of fortifications dating from the crusader era. The host was gracious in sitting us down even if our email for the reservation did not go through. I recommend calling and speaking to someone to make a reservation. The food was absolutely out of this world. The wait staff was very nice and attentive. The atmosphere was cozy and relaxing and there was no rush for us to leave. I highly recommend this amazing restaurant.

Unique setting, amazing Leventine food. Yogurts and cream dressings aren't dairy but taste exactly like they are. Fabulous service. Incredible menu. Would love to see a branch in Jerusalem.

Excellent restaurant taking inspirations from Levantine cuisine. Service is great and food authentic. We definitely recommend the place. Returned this year again and still one of the best restaurants in the North.

It's right next to the Knights Hall so very convenient, there's air conditioning and they claim to be Kosher. The waiter was extremely friendly and very helpful, the food was pricey but super delicious, well seasoned and worth it! Definitely recommend!

Oh my, ROOTS was a complete surprise to me. My friends invited me there, so I had no idea what to expect. We let me tell u, it's 5 star all the way. Their vegan cheese, yogurt and desserts are incredible. I ate fish and several starters and I was blown away by the taste, service and experience. I will be back!

Simply, the best restaurant!! Gorgeous place, excellent food (even for vegans like myself), fantastic service, and not expensive.
