Roots is such an awesome spot to stay! We enjoyed the coziness of our room and the close proximity to all of Sister Bay’s downtown. Can’t say enough about Collin and his team. The comfort they provide from check in to check out is incredible. And the breakfasts from the Kitchen each morning were all so unique and delicious. It was really fun to walk in there with no idea of what the breakfast was and to let Collin show off! We will definitely be back.

Our week at Roots was absolutely wonderful! We stayed in the 2-Twin room and thoroughly enjoyed every moment. It was fantastic to have breakfast taken care of each morning, with Collin preparing everything perfectly to our dietary needs. Randy's coffee from Ephirum Coffee Lab was a daily highlight we'll truly miss until next time. Beyond the delicious food and coffee, Roots offers onsite parking, classic Sister Bay charm, and an unbeatable location just one block from the beach. If you're a foodie with any dietary needs, rest assured, Roots will accommodate! A big thank you to Owen, Frank, and Collin for making our trip so special.

Came in with my family for the Lola’s Kitchen pop-up this week. Incredible food, atmosphere, and service. We loved sitting at the bar and chatting with the other patrons, waitstaff, and owner Colin. Owen the chef has really put a lot of thought and love into the menu and we loved everything we tried.

Beautiful location, food is amazing the breakfast was so delicious we had to show up Monday night for the dinner. Hands down one of the best places. Can't wait for our next trip back to Roots.

Chef Collin is an artist of his craft. We’ve eaten here several times and everything is a perfect taste explosion. He tailors a menu to a vegan diet that everyone can enjoy and appreciate.

Lola's Kitchen is a pop up restaurant inside of Roots Kitchen on Monday's and Tuesday's this season. If you want delicious food, in a treehouse setting, with wonderful service - go here. The menu is small and interesting. Last night, our table of 5 ordered one of everything and went home with lunch for today. Apps: the Pork Lumpia was a table favorite, but I especially enjoyed the special veggie lumpia with beets - full flavor! For the entrees, the Chicken Adobo melted off the bones. The broth was so flavorful we were getting every drop from the bowl. The Ginataang Kalabasa was a coconut milk, squash with other veggies soup that was out of this world. This was not something I would normally order, but was a favorite at our table. The other entrees: Noodles and Beef dishes also packed down home comfort food flavors. Of course we had to also try dessert. Both were colorful and tasty with the Chocolate Hills cookie dough balls our top pick. Service by Frank and Collin was exceptional, friendly, and professional. They greeted many locals by name. Food whisked out of the kitchen to our table piping hot! Chef Owen was amazing in this small space and ran several dishes out from the kitchen himself. He took the time to say hello at the end of the busy night. I highly recommend Lolas kitchen for top notch food and friendly night out. It's worth a drive north!

Restaurant review. Run don't walk to the monthly Filipino popup. The two appetizers pork lumpia and meatballs with banana ketchup really tasty. The adobo chicken fall off the bone tender and juicy with savory broth. The beef tagalog also tender but my companion gobbled it up so fast I almost missed my bites! Service good and friendly.

Review for Lola's Kitchen Pop-Up on Mondays & Tuesdays: Damn, that's great Filipino food! My husband, my Filipina mom, and I all delighted in the Bistek Tagalog, Chicken Adobo, Pancit, and Pork Lumpia -- tasty, good portion sizes, prepared without heavy oils. My mom is really picky and she said some of the dishes tasted just like HER lola used to make, the highest compliment. SO nice to have good Filipino food in Door County. Please keep going!

Such a unique and lovely hidden gem in Door County! This place is tucked away in a quiet corner right outside the usual chaos of Sister Bay. We came for lunch and were seated on the patio out back. The inside was a super cozy, rustic vibe, decorated beautifully. Their menu is small and mostly vegan. Thoigh, they do have a brat special that changes weekly (can also be made vegan). They have new specials every week, which is what I ordered. It was a curry wrap with sweet potatoes, raisins, apples, and more delicious fillings I can't quite remember. It was tasty and unique. I got the vegan kale Caesar on the side which was perfectly made. The person I was with ordered the walnut tacos and absolutely loved them, they looked delicious.

This is the second time I've been to Roots. Both times were equally amazing. Two years ago, my buddy recommended it. He's a regular visitor to Door County and he and his family count this among their favorite places to eat. I can see why. It's so good. The majority of their menu happens to be vegan, but whether you are a meat eater or not (I am), it doesn't matter -- the food is excellent. This most recent time, I got a Rice Bowl that had crispy shredded tofu...it was delicious. There's an awesome deck on the back side for outdoor seating, and a few seats out front too. Both times I've visited, we sat outside. It's in my top tier of places to eat in Door County. Like I said, if you are not a vegan or vegetarian, don't be scared off by the fact that most of the menu is meatless -- with flavors like this, it doesn't matter.

Absolutely amazing!! You have to check out Roots Inn for lunch. So delicious, everything we got was so fresh and well done. We had some awesome salads and tacos and the chips were to die for. Being vegetarian, this place made me so happy with all the options! There's something here for everyone! They have limited hours, so be sure to check before you go!

My husband and I stopped on our way to the Washington Island ferry. We are mostly vegetarian and eat local catch fish when in the area. Most places are very.meat heavy,but this was mentioned on a door county page. So we wanted to give it a try. We were very happy with the very veggie friendly menu. I had the asian tacos, and my husband had the local brat. We had a great time, great music, good beers on tap, and a very friendly local vibe. We will definitely be back, and we are happy to bring friends with us next time.

Not sure why anyone would give this place less than a 5!!!! Starts with the historic part, goes to the decor and ambiance and then finishes off with amazing food. Lots of vegan options but I did the plain Jane organic bratwurst with a lemon Cesar salad as a side - wow. Amazing

Definitely a Door County MUST eat. I completely enjoyed an amazing waffle today and a lemon Caesar salad. Thankful they have such delicious plant based and gluten free options. They really just have honest to goodness GREAT food with a cool, rustic, welcoming and comfortable vibe. can't wait to go back!!!

This has long been one of our favorite places to eat in Door County, but we recently had the pleasure of staying at the Inn and could not have been more pleased. The food remains spectacular. Sara is a wizard in the kitchen! Breakfast was a treat and a surprise every day. Colin and Sara are such welcoming and generous hosts that one feels right at home. Thanks to them and the staff for making our stay so pleasant and memorable.

Great ambience and food. Particularly loved that they had NF/GF/VG indicators next to their menu, as someone who has food allergies and is a vegetarian. Appreciate the fewer/better approach to their menu. Wisconsin restaurants are usually the inverse. I had the mint chocolate avocado smoothie (ordered two!) - it was delicious.

Usually with service this slow, I would give a 2 or 3 star rating but the delicious food made up for it! There were many people waiting, we ordered at the counter, and then waited for 30-40 minutes before approaching the counter and asking about the status of our food. Apparently it had been done for 20 minutes and was now cold but no one notified us that it was done. While i'm not too pleased with the service, I'm very happy there is a vegan restaurant in door county and their menu is great. I got the vegan Mac n cheese waffle and I still dream about it! So good! Will definitely be back, but will allot more time to be served.

We stopped here for lunch and my only disappointment is that we didn't find it sooner. OMG. I had the rice bowl and I'll be dreaming of it for a LONG time. The flavors were incredible! My husband had the brat and was drooling all over himself. Small menu with lots of vegan options. I'm bummed I won't get to try other things as we're leaving tomorrow. Try this place - you won't be sorry !

We are vegans from out of state, and we struggled to find good places to eat that had more than just a Beyond burger and fries, etc. A local shop owner recommended Roots Inn, and this was hands down one of the best vegan meals I've had out in YEARS. Everything was fresh and delicious, and the service was quick and friendly. My daughter and my niece were also blown away by the food! I will go out of my way to come here the next time I come back!

By a show of hands, how many of you are vegetarian and/or gluten free have a difficult time finding plentiful fresh, flavorful, high quality options at a single restaurant? Usually these are an afterthought, and intended to appease that one person in your party who doesn't eat what most people do. Well get ready to be happy. Even my wife, who does eat meat and would order deep fried gluten if they served it exclusively on a stick, loved it here as much as I did. We had almost everything on the menu during our visit. Broccoli wings, walnut tacos, mac and cheese waffles, and vegan Parmesan truffle chips. All outstanding. Whether you are gluten free, vegan, or the exact opposite, this place is fantastic. Sorry no pics. We ate it all immediately.

My friend and I stayed at Roots Inn for a 3 day trip to Door County and had an absolute blast. The innkeepers Collin and Sara are phenomenal at accommodating your needs, making delicious breakfasts, and giving great advice and recommendations for anything you want to do while there. The room was extremely clean and cozy and the bed was so comfortable to crash in after long days of hiking and swimming. We both would go back in a heartbeat and can't recommend it enough!

I travel almost weekly for work and it was so refreshing to be treated like I was visiting my family and home away from home on our girls get away weekend. Sara & Collin really have created a gem in the middle of paradise- comfortable and clean accommodations, amazing food (even adjusted without hesitation to my strict diet & allergies), and to top it their warm hospitality, personal engagement and touches all made it more worth while. I look forward to coming back many more times in the future!

The food here is amazing! Absolutely delicious and a lot of it is vegan! I highly recommend stopping here during your stay in Door County. The staff is so nice and the place is clean. It's also a bed & breakfast, but we didn't stay. I hope next time there will be vacancy so we can stay. There are tv's playing sports and great music playing. I will be eating here again before our vacation is over.

LOVE LOVE LOVE Roots. If you are heading to Door County, this is the place to stay and eat. You can tell that owners Collin and Sara take a lot of pride in creating a special experience for guests. Pictures won't do this place justice- it's absolutely adorable and something out of a storybook! We had a great time during our stay in the cottage room! This couple clearly has an eye for design. From the quirky decor to the locally sourced menu, they have spared no little detail- which is what makes Roots so special. The rooms are squeaky clean and so comfortable, and the food and alcohol selection at the eatery is hard to beat. The hosts are amazing and accommodating- they make Roots feel like home! Trust me- you won't want to miss out on this place!

Had a great lunch outside on the patio with my pooch. Great beer with the home made parm & oregano Chios along with the Kale Ceasar. All were DELISH! Highly recommend it. Can't wait to go back. Hope they can tent out the patio for fall season.

So relaxing and peaceful. My girlfriend and I spent a weekend here in April, (their first weekend to be reopened for the season) and it was great. Collin and Sara do an amazing job making you feel welcome and at home. The porch was ideal for reading and relaxing. The rooms are small but very comfortable and well done. The bed was perfect, no soft old mattresses here. And to top it off the breakfasts are delicious!!! Breakfast is served in the bar area and are definitely worth getting out of bed for.... They do a wonderful job creating interesting and tasty dishes each morning. I would highly recommend a weekend here.

Always great food at Roots Inn & Kitchen. Excellent brat on pretzel bun...outstanding kraut, great salad, fun drink selection. We've stayed here as well...beautiful rooms & fantastic hospitality.

Heard about this restaurant from a local, and when you get a recommendation from a local you know it's going to be good! And it was! The food was so fresh and so flavorful. We both order a cup of vegetable soup, it was super tasty we couldn't share! I ordered the kale Caesar salad, it was vegan and tasted great! Again very flavorful you don't feel like you're missing anything! The outdoor patio was very nice, a good view of the woods. We look forward to coming back!

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Roots Inn & Kitchen this August when we visited for our honeymoon. This was our first time in Door County and it did not disappoint! Upon arrival, we were greeted by Collin who was friendly and eager to help make our stay perfect. We stayed in the office which was so nicely decorated and made us feel at home. The rest of the Inn is equally as picturesque and so fun to stay at! Breakfast was absolutely fabulous, starting off with warm scones, and ending with a phenomenal breakfast taco made with local ingredients. Collin and Sara were extremely accommodating, offering alt times for breakfast if we couldn't make it during the 8:30 - 9:30 window, and offering to make customizations for any allergies. We hope to come visit next summer and stay here again!

My wife and I decided to head out to Door County for a winter visit on short notice and stayed at Roots Inn & Kitchen. We had a great visit so I wanted to share our experience. The Inn: The Inn is a beautiful building built in the early 1900's. The owners, Collin and Sara, have owned the Inn for under a year and are currently adding their personal touch to all the rooms. Their renovated Restaurant is attached and is a fantastic place to enjoy your complimentary breakfast if you are a guest or just stop in for lunch or catch a Packer game if you are in town. Location: The location is a short walk to all the best that Sister Bay has to offer including Sister Bay Bowl, Husby's, Door County Creamery, Bier Zot, and Wild Tomato Pizza. The Owners One of the highlights of our trip was enjoying our delicious gourmet breakfasts and getting to know Collin and Sara. Great conversation and a breakfast that was way above and beyond anything I've ever had at a B&B stay. Their passion for what they are doing really shows. All in all, my wife and I learned two valuable things during our trip. First, that visiting Door County in winter is an absolute must for Cross Country Skiing, Hiking, and enjoying some great eats in a more peaceful atmosphere than you'll find during peak season. Secondly, that Roots Inn and Kitchen will be our go to place to stay when we make the trip. They truly care about their guests and really make your stay memorable. We can't wait to come back!

Can't speak for the inn but the food is amazing. It's a super small menu with seasonal items. We had the beet salad and Vegan tacos. They were both awesome!! There's only a few tables to eat outside if you aren't comfortable eating indoors yet.

Usually you plan your vacation , which includes your destination city, your activities, places you'd like to eat, and the place you will stay. Very rarely, if ever, do you find that you could have a simply amazing time all without leaving your inn!! Roots Inn and Kitchen is a vacation GEM!! Wake up and head downstairs to tea or coffee in the music filled front porch until your breakfast is served promptly thereafter! Not only do you get a artistically plated and delicious 'clean foods' breakfast...you also get the bonus of a breakfast 'dessert' in their wonderful homemade scones!! For lunch or dinner, l recommend their brat recipes ... phenomenal!! Collin and Sara are a dream team! Very accommodating to my dietary needs ( Celiac ), always quick with a recommendation for hiking, shops and dining !! You feel like part of the family from the moment you arrive ! My husband and l have found our perfect fit in Roots Inn and Kitchen for our twice yearly Door County retreats!!!

One of my very favorite things is bearing witness to those who are great at what they do. Two people rocking their profession are Roots Inn hosts Sara and Collin. With rockstar culinary skills and warm, welcoming personalities, this duo makes you feel like you're visiting old friends. Staying at Roots Inn is a great way to experience a B&B without feeling like you're staying in granny's Victorian. The decor is creative and charming - a weathered ladder holds DVDs; an old suitcase houses Door County guidebooks; and original art graces the walls. The Woods room was very cozy and comfortable. But don't expect total silence at any B&B. The other guests' conversations didn't disturb us, but I did learn my neighbor in Room #2 is looking for love on Tinder so sending loads of luck her way. Remember those "rockstar culinary skills" I mentioned earlier? Well, today's breakfast consisted of AMAZING cinnamon scones; a puff pastry filled with homemade pesto, sautéed peppers and mozzarella; watermelon cubes with fresh mint; sausage from a local farm; and orange juice, tea, and coffee. You can't get that at the Day's Inn! If you want your Door County lodging experience to be as memorable as everything else you do while you're in town, stay at Roots. You won't be disappointed.

You stay here at the owners' convenience. You eat breakfast when it's convenient for them to "plate" it, which is promptly at 8 a.m. You show up at 8:30 or 8:45 and the kitchen will be locked. You get a complementary drink and homemade appetizer promptly at 4 p.m., unless there is a Packer or Badger game on, which is a time for the proprietors to socialize with their friends. If you show up at 4:15 or 4:20 the kitchen will be locked. Why can't there be a window? Why can't breakfast be from 8 to 9 and cocktail hour from 4 to 5? It seems rather pretentious to "plate" breakfast at 8 a.m. and expect your guests to simply be up for it. So if you are okay with the proprietors setting your schedule for you on your vacation, then the location is very convenient and the accommodations are above average. Are the rooms nice and bed comfortable? Yes. Is the food good (if you happen to get it)? Quite. Expect a place to sleep after enjoying Door County and nothing else. We showed up at 8:45 for breakfast on our first day of vacation hoping we could pick up a muffin, reheat leftovers, just anything to nibble on; the kitchen was locked. Other guests mentioned that this same thing happened to them as well. So we had to be awake and out of bed by 7:45 for the remainder of our stay just to get breakfast. On the final day of our stay, as we were leaving, we noticed the proprietors preparing breakfast at 9:15 for a couple who missed the 8 a.m. meal. I don't know why they were the exception, but it did feel like a "F*ck you!" from the proprietors. They seem like nice enough people, but my stay left me with nothing but contempt for them.

I wish I could give the food here 6 out of 5 stars. We got the two brat options (both excellent), the house cut chips (also excellent) and the veggie tacos (very good). The wine pours were excellent and the beer menu had some good options. Sit on the back porch for the best ambiance!

Our friends recommended Roots Inn & Kitchen and we are so happy they did. Sara and Collin are wonderful hosts and are such a pleasure to talk to. OMG! The breakfast is incredible! We are so thrilled with our first time trip to Door County! We will be back Thank you, for the wonderful experience!

The new owners are taking the bed and breakfast concept to an entirely new and higher level! The food was outstanding it was not only Innovative but pleasing in its presentation, the cocktails were very inventive and the appetizers were outstanding. Bill and Louise, the former owners were what I would have called" Betty Crocker good", the new owners are what I would call " Food Network good".

Collin & Sara are the ultimate hosts. They are welcoming, friendly and just all around good humans. They have recommendations for all sorts of dining and activities in the Door County area. The Inn is absolutely perfect; super clean, comfortable and it has a great enclosed porch to sit on and enjoy a drink. The food they serve up is absolutely phenomenal. We looked forward to our surprise breakfast each morning. They use locally sourced products and cook with so much TLC. My husband and I left feeling like we spent a weekend with friends. We highly recommend Roots Inn and Kitchen for any trip to Door County. You won't be disappointed.

My husband and I stayed here for the second time last weekend. It was our first time staying at a bed and breakfast (other than when we stayed here over winter). We love it! We stayed two nights and wish we could have stayed longer. Collin and Sara are extremely welcoming and wonderful hosts. They are very friendly and enjoy making their guests comfortable while having a great time. The food is hands down delicious and creative. There is a restaurant/bar attached that we opted to eat from and spend time in more than around town. We have stayed here once in the dead of winter as a getaway and it was just as pleasant. Cozy, warm getaway that is relaxing and comfortable. We returned this summer with friends and it is a fun place for couples to stay together. We had a group of 4 couples and all really enjoyed the stay. Very clean rooms and clean private bathrooms. They have their own awesome smelling body wash and shampoo. Quiet at night and breakfast was hot and fresh every morning. Lovely private back patio area to eat and drink. Parking was easy as they have their own private lot. Located within seconds to minutes walking distance of everything in Sister Bay. We will definitely be returning in the summer or winter! Both trips were everything we had wanted plus more. We are excited to share this place with our family and friends to stay at. Would highly recommend to anyone! Roots is now our go-to place to stay when in Door County!

Seriously delicious. Super creative food including a vegan option that's not a veggie burger! If you get the tacos without the aioli it's vegan and so good...made with walnut 'meat' and peppers. All the meat eaters loved the brats as well.

Wow. Roots was a new surprise for us despite vacationing up here for the past 20 years. We had lunch today and the sandwich special (salami and home made pesto, peppers and light whipped feta and lemon) was great. As good as that was, the brat with corn and spicy pepper relish on a pretzel roll (with mustard) was great. Great wine and beer choices. I'm torn as I want to keep this a secret but the owners deserve accolades. Will be back next week. One word. Yum.

Always a treat! Love the walnut meat and cauliflower tacos! Major yumfest! They work magic with their brats and back patio is so relaxing.

I stayed at Roots some weeks ago just as winter was settling. Me and a good friend from college were staying for one night on our birding trip through Door County. It was our first time ever staying in a BnB. We weren't sure of many things, but their website was so polished and thought out, that we realized, it would at the least, be memorable. It was more than memorable. Being the only lodgers for that night, we had the whole house to ourselves. The owners surpassed any standard expectation for friendly and conversational. They were inquisitive, and patient. They heated up our Thanksgiving leftovers we packed for food, and gave us a beer on the house. The front room was cozy as a silk blanket under a wooly mammoth, in the dead of winter. Blue walls, velvet upholster, restored trim, and clean roomy decor worked together to fill the home with elegance and rarity. The Backpackers room was a strange mix of feeling transported in time without the whiplash of awkwardly juxtaposed modern amenities. The gestalt of the whole experience felt like we were more important than we had previously considered ourselves. And for the price of only 110$, it felt like we didn't deserve it. lol :D But the owners succeeded in creating a space that absolved us of that guilt. Breakfast included surprise and creativity. It was flaky buttery comfort food made by an athlete, with an eye for haute cuisine. I am hesitant to describe the finer details of the check-in, sleep, breakfast, and check-out for fear of ruining the discovery. Spend a night in the winter months, and feel for yourself the warm magic of a cozy antique box, beaming with the brilliance of two people in love. Roots moves you with grounding comfort. All BnB's in the region should use this place as a template for the future of Door County comfort.

Doubtless the most delightful accommodations in Sister Bay, with excellent and personal service, deliciously sophisticated meals and charmingly quaint decor, it's difficult to imagine a more enjoyable beginning to a summer holiday morning in Door County than over breakfast on the tree-lined rear deck of this enchanting B&B. Lodging here felt like staying with friends--if your friends were talented innkeepers and gifted chefs with an eye for rustic waterfront design.

From the first time you meet the inn keepers, Collin and Sara you're made to feel as if you're old friends. The inn is clean and the rooms are comfortable and beautifully decorated. Roots is located on a side street off the main strip but within an easy walk to the shopping district. The enclosed front porch is the perfect spot for sipping on your evening glass of wine or your morning cup of coffee. The breakfast! Oh, the breakfasts! Definitely not your run of the mill B&B breakfast. With special dietary needs kept in mind they serve you deliciously unique and imaginative creations. Our next trip is already planned and we are literally counting down the days!

Oh boy. The integrity of the owners at Roots Inn & Kitchen deserves 0 stars. After I successfully reserved a $125/per night room for Sept. 8th with my mom, it was made 100% clear to me that a second night would need to be reserved before completing my booking. Thus, I made it 100% clear that I would be reserving a second night. Still, I needed to know if a late 10pm check in time on Sept. 7th was doable (It was) and how early check out would be on Sept.9th (10am). Colin said not to rush much and that we can have a day or two to think it over. I liked the idea of waking up to the wonderfully cheap breakfast on Saturday and Sunday, but at the same time thought booking Sunday night (which I would not stay for all) would allow for us to avoid an early wake up call - as well as a full Sunday to enjoy the brats here. Maybe planning out the second night around food took too much consideration (ha!) but by the next day (I talking to Colin Monday this was Tuesday) I received a voicemail stating that our reservation was cancelled, an hour later an e-mail came in which blamed me for losing the room because I didnt respond to the voicemail - except the voice message actually said my reservation was cancelled at the time of Colin's call. It was really sad to get such an abrupt cancellation - we were using the time Colin gave us to plan out a weekend. I wrote back saying that I was given time to make a decision, and I gave a quick ring during work to let Roots know of my email in hopes of saving my booking. No response came by lunch time and so I called and reached Colin - whom I thought might be able to help, instead he said Sara was out and that they would get back in touch with me. About an hour later, both owners sent me an e-mail much like the first saying that other people were interested in taking the full weekend and that Roots tried to reach out to me (this was the call and email Tuesday evening saying our reservation was already cancelled). Not being satisfied with the lack of accountability on their part, I called and left a voicemail saying that I wouldn't want to stay where I'm not wanted anyway and that I will be leaving this review because their current reviews gave me a much different impression of how they run their business. I don't necessarily like leaving reviews because I obviously have too much to say!Oh boy Anyway, up to this point I actually felt bad that my review wouldn't fit in with all the others. This was until later today when Colin and Sara chose to send me another email where they called me a threat to their safety and said any further communication by me 'would be treated very seriously'...???.... I assume they didn't want me to say any of the above here, yet if this is how they discourage 1 star reviews from others then you might as well know these guys are dishonest and are much too money driven for comfort.

Stopped in for lunch and it was fantastic. The bar and deck are open for lunch, with a menu that is farm-to-table. Everyone at the table had a different gourmet brat and they were all great. Prices were on point, and the lunch was better than any I've ever had in Sister Bay. Roots is definitely a hidden gem!

Right in the heart of Sister Bay, this gem is owned by two very amazing individuals. Collin and Sara. They do it all! In their spare time, they even find time to run a lunch spot next door to the inn! The room that we stayed in was cozy, a little on the small side, but for the price that they charge, and the service they give, I think it's probably the best deal I've come across in a very long while. You don't go to Door County to stay in your room, anyway, right? They're super knowledgeable about the area and what to do in your spare time, so just ask! Go sit out on the back deck, have some of Collin and Sara's amazing food, enjoy the view, and you'll be hooked!

I had a great time at roots inn and kitchen. Very comfortable and was exactly what my wife and I were looking for in the door county experience. Every morning we had a great breakfast that helped us jumpstart our day. Great proximity if you want to be closer to downtown sister bay.

My wife and I were in town for a wedding, we opted for this B&B over the larger hotel and couldn't have been happier. Collin and Sara were perfect hosts who made us feel at home. The food was beyond delicious and they had a spectacular selection of beer. They gave us great recommendations of activities and places to eat in the area. We will definitely stay with them again when we are in the area!

Just spent two GREAT days ( and nights ) at Roots B & B ---- A thoroughly enjoyable experience --- Looking forward to our next visit --- Collin and Sara are off to a great start !!!

Roots Inn & Kitchen is an amazing place! This food is incredibly well thought out and executed perfectly! The house chips are awesome, the brats are great and the beer selection changes all the time. Everything we had was delicious! Definitely a must-see in Sister Bay!

My boyfriend and I stayed here for the second time last weekend and both trips were wonderful experiences! The first trip was in the summer and we focused more on touring door county, we couldn't have asked for a better place to stay for our first time there! The breakfasts were delicious, the rooms were comfy and the proprietors were welcoming and accommodating. This most recent trip we stayed around the inn a bit more and had a great time watching the badgers play in the restaurant, and had a tasty and creative lunch. Collin and Sarah were a joy to get to know and we appreciate them welcoming us into their home!!

Roots Inn & Kitchen was amazing. The location, hosts, food, eclectic style--all perfect, we cannot wait to go back and bring friends. We chose to eat there for lunch as well as breakfast and as soon as you arrive you'll get why. The place is great and owners are so friendly. I can not say enough great things about this place!! I would recommend roots inn to anyone and everyone who visits Door County! I have stayed at roots inn multiple times and we have been beyond impressed. Comfortable and quaint rooms, amazing service - the innkeepers have mastered this craft and they haven't even been open a year, a true testament. Crackling fire, delicious breakfasts, great back yard and patio space for summer/fall bonfires! Their lunch menu is fantastic, always pairs perfectly with their tap selection. Can't wait to get back there soon!
