Rosa Malacca (Malacca, Malaysia) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"With its brownstone facade and industrial-chic interiors, Rosa Malacca looks more New York than Kuala Lumpur. Somehow, the aesthetic doesn’t seem entirely out of place, given that the city itself, Melaka — once a major international trading center, now a UNESCO World Heritage Site — has long been a cultural melting pot. Why not a boutique hotel reminiscent of a Brooklyn loft, built with clay bricks and recycled wood, with the beams and ductwork exposed?" - Tablet Hotels

I recently stayed at Rosa Malacca Hotel, and it was an amazing experience! From the moment I entered the hotel, I was struck by the unique loft-style design. The spacious, bright, and modern interiors create an atmosphere of comfort and style. Every decor element is thoughtfully designed, and it's clear that the designers poured their hearts into creating this space. 🏢✨The rooms in the hotel are very comfortable. I stayed in a standard room, and it exceeded all my expectations! The bed was cozy, the modern amenities were fantastic, and the stylish bathroom made my stay incredibly enjoyable. The hotel staff was friendly and responsive, always ready to assist with any questions. The location of the hotel was also excellent—close to the city center of Malacca, which made my city explorations even more convenient. If you're looking for a stylish and comfortable hotel in Malacca, Rosa Malacca is the perfect choice! I would happily return here again. Highly recommended! 🌟❤️

The staff team was truly wonderful and made a great effort to ensure guests had an enjoyable stay. Special thanks to Diyanah and her Indian male colleague (apologies for missing his name)—both were consistently friendly, welcoming, and even kindly upgraded our room to one with two king-sized beds.||No complaints about the hotel, especially given its competitive pricing. The room was clean and spacious. While breakfast options were limited, the quality was good—particularly enjoyed the Nasi Lemak and fried kway teow/beehoon.||My only minor gripe was the location of the gym. Accessing the rooftop gym at night felt quite dark and uninviting—better lighting would help.||Would stay again!

In Melaka itself, this building was actually quite unique. It looks like those refurbished old tenements which you can only see in European countries. The check in area was well furnished and comfy. It comes with a relaxing terrace outdoor seating and also an indoor dining area. The room was very clean and well furnished. From the terrace, you can enjoy the view of the suburbs of Malacca! Last but not least, from the front desk to the lobby staffs, they were really approachable and offer a great smile and warmth in their services!

Rosa Hotel Melaka was a delightful surprise—stylish, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed. The rooms were impressively spacious, well-maintained, and carried a modern industrial-chic aesthetic that gave the entire space a boutique charm. From the exposed brick walls to the tasteful decor and cozy bedding, every corner felt intentional and inviting. Tucked slightly away from the busy tourist stretch, the location offers peace and quiet without feeling disconnected. It’s an ideal retreat after a day of exploring Melaka’s vibrant heritage sites. We had restful, undisturbed nights throughout our stay. The breakfast spread was another highlight—offering a well-balanced mix of local and continental options that even a fussy eater would appreciate. Everything was fresh and nicely presented, and the dining space itself was bright and welcoming. Staff were warm and helpful, and the overall ambience struck the perfect balance between laid-back and upscale. The only minor downside was the towels, which felt a little dated and could benefit from an upgrade to match the rest of the hotel's high standards. All in all, Rosa Hotel offers excellent value for money and a boutique hotel experience that stands out in Melaka. It’s no surprise they’ve earned a spot on the Michelin Guide! A very stylish hotel We recently spent two nights at this hotel and were impressed with its good quality service, stylish interior, and comfortable accommodations. The reception staff were efficient and welcoming, processing our check-in promptly. Our spacious room was super clean, with a comfortable bed ensuring a restful night's sleep. While the breakfast spread was limited, it offered a decent selection of options, including fresh bread and local dishes. We appreciated the alert and professional security personnel, who provided a sense of security throughout our stay. Ample parking was available, with a security post on site. Initially, we were concerned about the hotel's location, but despite being slightly off from the tourists areas and shopping malls, we found it easy to explore Malacca's tourist areas and shopping malls. Overall, our family was impressed with this hotel, and we would definitely consider returning on our next trip to Malacca. Highly recommended!

Charming hotel situated just outside the hustle and bustle of town. Ample parking was available on the weekdays we visited. Situated close to most tourist sights, a 5-10 minute drive, though It was a bit too far to walk. The restaurant at the hotel was very nice as well. All of us had a good night sleep as the bed mattress was firm and pillows comfortable. Value for money for the sum we paid.

Opened in 2017, Rosa Malacca is a 60-room property which offers an industrial chic vibe theme with a stylish interior. It is reminiscent of a Brooklyn loft, built using clay bricks and recycled wood and showcasing exposed beams and ductwork. ||The rooms start from the second to the sixth floor. I had booked the Premier King Room and was accommodated in Room No 201. It is spacious at 40 square metres and offers a view overlooking the main road. Compared to the lower category Deluxe King Room, the Premier King Room has a larger room size, offering a two-seater sofa and a larger bathroom with two wash basins. If you prefer more space, I recommend booking this room category.||Although the 50' LED TV is not a SMART unit, it offers Cable TV channels such as Astro Premier League, AXN, Cinemax, Celestial, Movies and Nat Geo Wild. There is no USB charging port inside the room.||The shower pressure works fine. I am|pleased with its hot shower which stays constantly hot for a long period of time. Unfortunately, the air-conditioning seems weak, which I had to use the fan to circulate the air inside the room.||The hotel’s food and beverage outlet, Bica & Co Café is located on the first floor of the hotel. In addition, there is a RS General Store, which sells its own house brand merchandises. Although there is no swimming pool, there is a gym on the seventh floor for fitness buffs. Head to the rooftop and you can catch a breathtaking view of Melaka city.||This hotel is near to the following places of interest:||* Malaysia Prison Museum - 600m|* A Famosa - 1km|* Dataran Pahlawan Melaka Mega Mall - 1.1km|* Mahkota Parade (Shopping Mall) - 1.2km|* Masji Selat Melaka - 2.4km||Whilst the hotel location may not be very ideal, which is a little far from Jonker Street, you can find amenities within walking distance from the hotel. There is a convenience store in the petrol station opposite the hotel. There is also a handful of eateries such as local coffeeshops and restaurants like McQuek’s Satay Celup and Restoran Baba Ang.||To sum it up, Rosa Malacca is a charming gem. I love its architecture, the vibes it exudes and the inspiration every corner brings.

Refreshingly different hotel decor, immaculately clean and very comfortable. All the staff are friendly and helpful. Good buffet breakfast and the best caffe latte of our entire Malaysian trip. We would definitely recommend Rosa Hotel!
