Rosa Mexicano at National Harbor (Saturday Brunch) We had such a great experience at Rosa Mexicano this past Saturday. The Mexican Fried Rice was incredibly flavorful. I didn’t even need the sauces that came with it. The guacamole was made fresh and paired perfectly with the warm, crispy chips. The service was excellent. Our waiter was friendly, attentive, and made sure we were well taken care of. We were seated immediately, but we arrived at 11:30 a.m. because the weather was beautiful and we knew it would fill up fast. The view from the outdoor seating area was just perfect. Overlooking the water, the Ferris wheel, and the lively National Harbor scene made for an amazing brunch atmosphere. Highly recommend for delicious food, great service, and unbeatable views.

The location is absolutely unbeatable! Specially the outdoors deck. The food and drinks were good. The Salmon was absolutely the best! It’s crazy that they have a huge section of outdoor seating but no umbrellas at all. It’s a bit of surprise and lack of facilities management. But food is good. Drink is good. People we met there were so good! A couple updates: their website menu is outdated. No more happy hour menu. No parking space. All paid street and garage parking.

Waited about 15 minutes with reservations but the servers were great and the views from balcony seats were amazing. Took a while for the food to arrive but understandable since it was super busy. Must get here is the guacamole made in mortar and pestle - Guacamole en Molcajete. The chipotle chicken empanadas were alright but the mushroom enchiladas were amazing! The new cherry blossom margarita was amazing as well.

Rosa Mexicano has a great vibe, and the staff is incredibly friendly. The location is definitely the best part—right in the heart of everything. However, the experience fell a bit short. The AC wasn’t working (in the middle of summer), which made it uncomfortably hot inside. We waited around 30 minutes for our food, and while some dishes were okay, others didn’t quite meet expectations. The ceviche had more lettuce than fish, and for the price, it didn’t feel worth it. The corn was tasty, and the kids’ meals were just decent. Overall, it has potential, but there’s room for improvement. Oh! I almost forgot, the michelada was more than spectacular!!!

Amber Straite

Google
Our experience was horrible. Our server was not attentive, she basically ignored us. It was so bad, her coworker took over the table. The empanadas were burnt, and bland. The ceviche is brought in a martini glass, with all of the lime at the bottom. But, it’s no where near enough lime to say it’s ceviche. It was dry, and WARM. The food was horrible! Maybe I would’ve enjoyed more of our server cared to take care of us and not her friends at the bar! Save your money

Visiting D.C. for the long weekend. Rosa is walking distance from our hotel located in the heart of the National Harbor restaurants and shops. It was our first time. The food was good for a Mexican restaurant in a high tourist location. The tableside guacamole was very good. I ordered the mole half chicken specialty dish, and the flavor of the mole was very good with the sauted spinach and rice. The dish included sweet plantains, which I thought complimented the spinach. My husband ordered the steak tacos and enjoyed it. The restaurant does have a children's menu, which was a good size portion for my girls. The food overall was good. The service during this visit was not excellent but not awful. The hostess from our initial arrival was not friendly, but she did what she needed to do - no smiles or salutations. The server similar. He simply did what was needed and just going through the motions. The tableside guac person same. Everyone could have just been tired and busy and it showed. We enjoy Mexican food and often try different places. Rosa's is average.

Google
The interior was extremely overcrowded, we were fortunate enough to get seating outside, although the outdoor area was quite small. While our waitress was courteous, the overall service was notably slow, with a long wait for our food. Unfortunately, the dishes lacked flavor and the portion sizes were disappointing particularly the tacos and empanadas. In summary, I found the establishment to be both overrated and overpriced.

Marli Decarvalho

Google
The empanas flavor was disappointing, there was so many flies we were constantly snapping and trying to avoid them to land on our food, horrible. After a long while seating there I decide to ask for water at least because it was never offered

Yelp
The food was outstanding! Specifically, the chipotle chicken and seafood empanadas, and their enchiladas lobster. The portions, taste, and presentation were on point.

Yelp
We went during taco tuesday, outside seating during sunset and it was AMAZING view. The food however did fall a little short. Outside of taco tuesday, we may not visit again. Taco Tuesday deals were reasonable so we decided to stay and eat there. Waiter was friendly and provided recommendation to enhance our experience, which we politely declined. We ordered steak tacos, chicken tacos, and shrimp. To our surprise, the chicken tacos included almost pulled chicken versus cubed but okay. Steak tacos were a bit chewy as it included strip steak versus cubed. & shrimp tacos which included a bit of the peeled tail and were okay. Steak tacos had different tortilla than the others and I preferred the steak tacos tortilla over the other "traditional" ones. We also had a mango sparkling drink- which was good. The price is a bit steep for the quality of food provided. Flavor and cooking style could be improved a little bit, as well as serving size to make the meal and price feel "worth while" Out of the entirety Rosa Mexicano has been at the harbor i've only visited a handful of times. Overall rating 3.5/5 it's just okay. nothing to rave about in terms of tacos. I'm sure the other food items on the menu are good.

Yelp
Given dirty plates and dirty glass cups. Salsa tasted like store bought and was room temperature. Server's fingers touched the food multiple times and smeared on the utensils. Chipotle Chicken Empanadas were a small portion and did not taste good. Melted cheese was extremely oily. Their spicy salsa was all spice and no flavor, and it wasn't that spicy either. I will not return, please do better. Thank you.

Yelp
This was a great experience. The guacamole was wonderful. Our food was all good. The best part of the meal we're the cocktails. I really want to return.

Yelp
I have visited Rosa Mexicano before but this was my first time at this particular location. The service was okay, it did take a few minutes for my server to come over. I ordered the steak enchiladas which was served with a side of rice. The steak enchiladas were good. The rice was a little bland. I ordered the churros for dessert. They were served in a bag along with a raspberry and chocolate dipping sauce. I wish they had a caramel one! The churros were delicious.

Yelp
We came here for drinks while waiting for our table at another establishment. Everyone enjoyed their selections with an exception of one who did not like her original order or her replacement. The pomegranate, blood orange and spicy pineapple margaritas were the table favorites.

Yelp
Overall a great experience for upscale Mexican food with a small hiccup that was quickly amended! Came here in March for a conference dinner. The price point is a lot steeper than a typical Mexican diner. However, the whole National Harbor area is expensive. We got appetizers of chips + guac and nachos. The guac was . We also had chicken enchiladas which were also delicious. For entree, I ordered Tampiquena which was recommended by the waitress. The steak was amazing. Unfortunately, I didn't get to try the whole meal hot as my food mistakenly got cleared when I went to the bathroom. Luckily, the owner was kind enough to pack me a replacement meal to go, which I ate the following day. The churros as dessert were crunchy in the outside and soft on the inside. Very well done. The two sauces are strawberry and chocolate. I liked the chocolate more. Clean and upscale environment that's dimly lit. I'd rate this place a 4.5 if I could.

Yelp
Rosa Mexicano does a lot of things well. -Guacamole en molcajete: artfully prepared tableside with fresh avocados, jalapeños, red onions, and cilantro - super tasty. -Chips and salsa: the chips are sturdy which is very important for transporting large scoops of salsa from bowl to mouth. -Ambience: artfully decorated with liberal touches of pink. A few areas for improvement: -Lack of vegan options. While there are many dishes marked vegetarian and gluten free, the only actual vegan items are the guacamole and the jackfruit fajitas. None of the starters, empanadas, tacos, soups, salads, ceviches, enchiladas, or signature dishes are vegan. While I'm sure the jackfruit fajitas are lovely, when dining at a Mexican restaurant I anticipate having the option to choose. I really wanted tacos, however our server informed me none of the offerings could be made vegan, so instead I opted for the roasted mushroom enchiladas without cheese. The enchiladas themselves were delicious - excellent flavor with perfectly cooked mushrooms. The salsa verde wasn't my favorite - very tart, which overwhelmed the rest of the dish. -Speed of service. We were seated quickly, however it took more than a few minutes for our server to arrive, there were large gaps in between the timing of menu delivery and return for orders, and when we were ready to leave we had to proactively flag down someone to deliver the check. Pricing is in line with other restaurants in the area - a little steep but not catastrophically so. Overall Rosa's is fine, but it needs to add more plant based options and focus on streamlining the service.

Yelp
I've been here a couple of times for business meals and it's not too bad. Definitely have some things on the menu that are misses, but the stuff that's good makes up for it in my opinion. The fresh guacamole is really good and it's a huge portion! We always order at least 3 of them for the table. I've ordered the birria tacos and was slightly disappointed due to how small the tacos are. They taste good but leave you wanting more. If you have chips and salsa before, it may be enough food. I personally prefer the fajitas. They have a lot more food and also taste really good. Careful though because they are really REALLY hot (temperature wise). I burned my tongue a little when I had them due to how hot the bowl stays. The churros for dessert was good if you're craving a little something sweet after your meal. The service here is typically good. We are typically a larger group so they're usually pretty quick for how many people we have. The server this past time was a little pushy on trying to get the group to order more drinks than we wanted. We kept insisting that we were good with our 2-3 drinks each. The ambiance is nice. They have some good decorations and they make good use of lighting to make it feel more fancy than it is.

Yelp
Much improved and lovely!! They've done some reorganizing of the space and it looks a bit more generic but the flow for guests and waitstaff is TREMENDOUSLY improved. They've also slimmed their menu which made ordering easier and I think definitely helped kitchen turnover. We loved the cocktails, the tacos, the pork. There were no insane lines even near peak dinner times. I recommend the cheeseburger tacos, though be warned as I was craving them again for days afterwards. It was just a perfect balance of crunch, fresh, cheese, and seasoned beef.

Yelp
We stopped here on a Sunday for a quick lunch. My husband ordered nachos and I ordered a shrimp quesadilla. Service was prompt and pleasant. It was kinda noisy, but I wasn't turned off by it. I enjoyed the view. The food was good and I would return.

Yelp
Rosa Mexicano has redeemed themselves in my book! Went recently to celebrate my sister's birthday and even though we were running late for our reservation we still got amazing service! The food was delicious, i believe i had the Grilled Shrimp Alambre as well as the chips and guacamole appetizer. For drinks i got the Mango Chile which was refreshing and delicious as well! The restaurant is dimmed but gives the perfect ambiance for an intimate dinner. Would definitely recommend and will definitely be going back!

Yelp
Came for Sunday brunch. Wanted to try something different. Food was pretty mediocre for what it was. My dish lacked flavor. I had something with seafood, and it was quite underwhelming. I didn't even finish it. Which is rare! Not bad, just meh. Service was pretty good. But I can't remember anything that stood out. Not bad by far, but just enough. We sat on the patio, as it was a nice breezy day. Overlooking the water was pretty calming. Would I return? Yes for an occasion if someone were celebrating here. But on my own, I can't say I would.

Yelp
This is a spacious spot with seating available in both the bar and restaurant areas. When we arrived, there was a 25-minute wait, but the lobby had plenty of seating to accommodate us. True to their estimate, we were seated right around the 25-minute mark. Our waiter promptly brought chips, salsa, and water. He answered our questions and took our order without any issues. My wife chose the chicken enchiladas, which came with a generous amount of flavorful sauce (maybe a little too much). There were two good-sized enchiladas served with a side of rice. She thought they tasted good but mentioned she would have preferred a red sauce instead. I went with the Fajitas Molcajete (Steak & Shrimp). It arrived sizzling, which was a nice touch. The steak and shrimp were served on a bed of sautéed onions and bell peppers, accompanied by tortillas, rice, and refried black beans. While the presentation was appealing, I felt the $40 price tag didn't quite match the portion size--there were only four strips of steak and four shrimp. The beans were a bit too salty for my taste, and the rice was just average. On the bright side, the chips were fresh, and the salsa was excellent.

Yelp
Four of us ate dinner here on a Friday night. There was a 45 minute wait and the time was pretty accurate. It is a loud and large place. My friends had the fajitas which they really liked. I had fish tacos and was more than disappointed. The fish in each taco was less than the size two half dollars. Very small and a lot of batter. I get it is a tourist restaurant so they can charge a lot and not have to have great food. There are so many other good places in that area.. i probably wont go back.

Yelp
The only thing Rosa Mexicano has going for it is the view from the balcony and the vibe inside by the bar--it looked lit. Everything else? Straight trash. We ordered a pitcher of margaritas that tasted like bottled lime juice with mixers. After a few complaints, the waiter finally took it back. Things only got worse from there. The nachos came out and immediately gave everyone at our table a weird tingling sensation in our mouths and scratchy throats--like we were all trying to scratch the back of our throats by making that "pit" noise. I'm not allergic to anything listed on the menu, so whatever mystery ingredient they used needs to be investigated. Then came the entrees. The enchiladas were barely room temp, like they'd been prepped hours ago and left waiting in the back to be drafted by a table. And my poor shrimp , they could have at least microwaved it before serving. And it wasn't even a cold day. It was so bad we didn't even bother sending more stuff back--we just left. I used to enjoy Rosa Mexicano back in the day, but it's clear things have gone way downhill. This was a terrible experience and definitely not worth the money. Avoid.

Yelp
I love this place and wish we had a closer location in dc. It was a bit cold inside but that's because it was the first cold front of the season. My friends and I shared the guacamole, which is freshly made and so good! I got the salmon and my friends got the nachos from the happy hour menu- take more of the picture: it is a bit of an unusual nacho - they maybe should rename it, although it tasted good. My other friend got the mini quesadillas, which she really enjoyed. They serve you salsa and chips at the table and refill it, as requested. The service was good overall. I highly suggest this place if you're in the area!

Yelp
Three of us had dinner at Rosa Mexicano during the week of Podcast Movement last month. I've been to RM in New York and New Jersey, so I knew what to expect in terms of the menu. We went with Tableside guacamole to share. I ordered cheese enchilada for my main. The food did not disappoint - so good! Our waiter was very friendly and funny. I liked the restaurant space of the National Harbor location because of its views on the water, high ceilings, and lots of windows letting in natural light. The spacing between tables was comfortable, too. If you're staying at National Harbor for a conference, this is definitely a restaurant that will be popular with fellow attendees. The night we were there, it was pretty much the daytime hours earlier with all the familiar faces. The location is close walking distance to Gaylord and Residence Inn.

Yelp
Do you know when someone tells you not to do something or not to go to a particular establishment, but you do it anyway? Yeah, that's me. I wish I had listened. The hostess was great and all. I glanced at the menu, and it's not a typical Mexican restaurant it has a twist to it. I was looking for typical entrees like I would see at my beloved Guapos, etc.. Im Hispanic and Mexican food like nature in my home. So I know good Mexican food when I see it. The chips and salsa were mid.. ( no bueno) I was hoping for some type of heat, something that would make me happy. Nope. Okay. As I'm looking at the menu, I don't see much to choose from that I like. I had my eye on chilaquiles, but I was headed to an event and didn't wanna get messy. My server was okay. I just wish he was a bit attentive. It was 90 degrees, and my water jug was room temperature. Yet other tables got ice chilled water, but those tables had another server. I got duck tacos, something you really don't see at a Mexican restaurant. It had a unique taste. However, my tacos were so bland I had to ask for salt. My pineapples didn't look ripe. And the duck was dry and definitely not fresh. I did mention to my server about them, yet he didn't offer any solutions, just said ok. I decided to get dessert to forget my awful tacos... I chose flan. Flan is like an egg custard dessert. Let me tell you. This was the worst! I don't recommend this at all. The flan was worse than the tacos. My flan was so cold and firm. It seemed like it came from a freezer. It had no flavor, and worse, no caramel sauce!! I mean, I make this from scratch for the holidays. I was so disappointed. The food here needs work. This was my 2x here. Idk. Service is average. It wasn't that busy. But I left the restaurant more hungry and disappointed. I should have listened to my friends and read the reviews prior to my visit.

Yelp
It's been a long time since I've been to Rosa Mexicano and the menu is quite different from what I remember. Me and my mom went for a late lunch and we're immediately seated. After being led to a table in the center of the restaurant we requested a window table and were accomdated. We started with some guacamole (medium spice level) and frozen mango margaritas. They were delicious! I opted for the chopped cheeseburger alambre tacos and mom had the baja style fish tacos. We were both very pleased with the taste of the tacos. We also ordered beans (frijoles borrachos) and rice on the side to round out the meal. Overall the meal and service was good and I would definitely come back again....sooner rather than later next time! The only miss is I didn't like the beans very much but since I haven't been in a while I don't know if the seasonings were off or if that's how they always taste.
google avatar

Lyndsey M.

Yelp
The food at Rosa Mexicano was pretty standard--nothing special, and it tasted kind of commercial, like it was batch-made. I'll admit, getting wine at a Mexican restaurant might've been on me, but their selection wasn't great, and what they had wasn't much better. It's located at National Harbor, so there's plenty to do around the area, which is a plus. The inside is cute, with lots of seating, so at least the atmosphere was nice. The service is pretty standard, but it is a decent option if you are out and do not have dinner reservations.

Yelp
Rosa Mexicano is a lovely restaurant with waterfront views at National Harbor. Shoutout to B.K. who was our excellent server! The location of the restaurants is fantastic and the decor is lively and fun. The chips and salsa are delicious. The queso dip is yummy. My husband ordered the Shrimp Diablo and loved it. I had the Seafood Empanada....the seafood tasted good, but the overall flavor I kept tasting was the oil the empanada was fried in. Overall, this is a good restaurant to visit while at National Harbor.

Rudy U.

Yelp
The Baja fish tacos were cold and the beer battered fish was soggy. My wife had a chicken salad that she enjoyed. Nice seasoning on the chicken. 45 minute wait at 5:00 for mediocre food. Would not return.

Yelp
Another holiday season at National Harbor, complete with a traditional visit to Rosa Mexicano. Six of us had a reservation and our table was ready upon arrival. We didn't mind the dirty seats as soon as the margaritas and sangrias arrived. The tableside guac was muy rico and our service was exceptional. We did experience something burning in the nearby kitchen which resulted in some dirty air and coughing all around, but that subsided quickly, and we were enjoying our entrees in no time. The portions this visit were noticeably smaller. The prices, however, were larger. The carnitas tacos and birria tacos were tasty. I do love the atmosphere here. Dim lighting and a view of the harbor create an intimate feel even if crowded.

Yelp
Give it up for Red, y'all! Red was our bartender and what a GEM! I'll go back solely to have another Mexican coke at the bar. The interior is super cute and the views of the capital wheel really make it a great to dine outdoors. We ordered the tacos, guacamole, steak with shrimp, churros and key lime pie. I would order the steak medium next time instead of medium well and try something other than the churros( they weren't my favorite but still were decent) The bar started to get really busy after 5:30, so plan to arrive between 5-6 to secure a good seat. Parking is available both street side and garage. You have to pay for both options and if you park on the street just know the tickets are given for expired meters around the clock! 24/7

Yelp
Rosa Mexicano used to be a favorite of mine, but sadly this establishment has gone down hill. I dined at Rosa on 8/1/24 and 8/10/24. On both occasions the restaurant was extremely warm and they had fans blowing to cool the restaurant. The servers were slow to come to the table, and not so friendly when speaking with guests. The food didn't appear to be as seasoned as it used to be and my steak was ordered to be medium and was brought out well done. On 8/10, we specifically arrive at 9 pm to partake in the late happy hour stated on the website and were told that info isn't correct and it's only Monday through Friday. The manager argued with us about it but ended up "allowing" us to do 2 happy hour rounds. He stated that the menus in the restaurant state the correct happy hour information, but they didn't. It honestly felt like this location was going against corporate's policy to take advantage of the consumers in the area. Had we arrived to the harbor earlier, we would have dined elsewhere, but other restaurants were closing soon. I will be reaching out to corporate about this issue.

Sahar L.

Yelp
A 45 minute long wait time to get a very simple order of tacos that tasted just average. On a weekday with very little foot traffic. The waiter never checked on us during that wait. Judging by previous reviews, this isn't an unknown issue. Too bad didn't check them before going in. Hope the establishment does something about it. Location and view: great Service: Almost non-existent Food: average
google avatar

Abigail G.

Yelp
My waiter was very attentive and kind. My food was pretty good and looked delicious! The only thing that wasn't great was the steak in the steak tacos was very touch and fatty.
google avatar

Erlesha W.

Yelp
Service was great!! And we were seated right by the window with the perfect view. The chips and salsa almost had us full because it was so good! The street corn was a 7/10. Enchiladas were a 8.5/10 they lack flavor in the meat but the sauce made up for it. The Mexican fried rice was AMAZING!! All and all, I'm happy with our choice!
google avatar

Lawrence S.

Yelp
The food is very good. The noise level is loud. We told them we needed a handicap table, they did not honor the request. We had to ask for water at least 4 times. Not worth going back to, would not highly recommend.

Yelp
Rosa Mexicano is an upper-scale Mexican restaurant right across the National Harbor. My family and I were enjoying the Christmas vibes at Gaylord and chose Rosa for dinner. Their table side guacamole was so refreshing. We ordered the double portion, so we basically paid $35 just for guac lol but it was enjoyed by five hungry people. They have a nice variety of menu options from soups and salads to fajitas and steaks. I opted for their steak tacos. The only thing missing from this place is a more well-rounded open bar. They don't offer a lot of wines or non-marg options.
google avatar

Ameena A.

Yelp
Unfortunately my partner and I had a "meh" experience here. Our biggest issue was the service - very slow, forgot portions of what we ordered, and just appeared rushed and not super friendly. The food was variable, we particularly liked the guacamole but the tacos and entrees were average/low average. The ambiance is cute, that was probably the best part!
google avatar

LaToya G.

Yelp
Yall I had the steak and shrimp fajitas and it was the best fajitas I had in the DMV. The guacamole and chips and salsa were delicious. My friend had the birria and loved it. Customer service from time we entered until we left was awesome. The fajitas weren't on the menu but I was told it would be added to the menu. I can't wait to go back. I already know what I'm ordering :)

Yelp
Ok. While we were at Rosa Mexicano National Harbor waiting with family to be served, we were seated at a table, awaiting to be served..We got waters, some salsa and chips and began to look over the menu. Next thing I know, BAM! A wet piece of ceiling tile came crashing down on my head, back and table. It came from a leaky pipe above the ceiling tile was a terrible leak, however they were addressing it right away. So luckily, I was just wet and a little dirty, not hurt at all... I always keep DUDE wipes on me, so cleanup was a breeze. So, while I was in the bathroom cleaning up, our table was moved and was told our bill would be TOTALLY COVERED due to the inconvenience and they threw in some extras! Rosa Mexicano National Harbor went over and above to accommodate us and apologized for the incident. Our society is so litigious, ready to sue. The best thing that came out of this was everything we ordered was free, and we remained calm despite everything, the restaurant had me fill out and sign an incident report, and they get 5 stars..

Yelp
My husband and I went here for a quick lunch and it took us a while to get seated, even though we had a reservation. We ordered the table guacamole to start and it was really good... much more flavorful than other restaurants where we've had table side guacamole. I ordered the shrimp tacos, and my husband had the vegetarian tacos. Mine were very bland and the shrimp were tiny. My husband said his were ok. Not sure I'd go back since so many other places do tacos so well.

Yelp
This restaurant is located at National Harbor in Oxen Hill, Md. it is a large airy restaurant with outdoor and indoor dining options. It's a bit loud as restaurants in tourist areas tends to be. The decor is very nice with attractive art pieces on display I was there on a lunch date. We were able to converse easily so the noise was not too bad. The service was attentive and professional. The table side guacamole prep was a nice touch The guacamole was prepared in a mocahete which is the traditional manner of preparation. It was very tasty as well with plenty of warm crisp non greasy chips. I also had a ceviche sampler which had three different flavors and seafood ( flounder, salmon and tuna) One was sweet and spicy, one was a mayonnaise base and the third was a curry like taste. All good. Finally, I had the pork carnitas tacos which consisted of three small tacos with good pork flavor. The bill for the dip, appetizer and entree for two came to $100, which I consider reasonable given the quality of the food

Yelp
It's hard for me to write reviews for Mexican food since I'm from Texas where you can easily get traditional Mexican food literally in every corner. The menu, it's different and has a twist to it. The food was okay. I got the brisket enchiladas. The sauce had no spicy flavor, it was just red sauce. I couldn't taste any chile flavor at all. Overall, it was just good. The Spanish rice was a little hard but I ate it, it seemed like it came from a premade bag, not authentic at all. Complimentary chips and salsa were okay, the salsa wasn't spicy or flavorful. I would come back but not for the food, the ambience was great. Drinks were perfection! Service was good. We had a reservation but got seated after our reservation time and there were plenty of open tables. Unsure why that happened. We had to ask them what the hold up was. Overall an okay place to visit! Not the best in DC but worth a try.

Yelp
The food was SO good and the restaurant had a a lovely view of the national harbor. The waiter was nice, and we got our food decently quickly. I definitely recommend this place.

Yelp
Great location with attractive patio. Standard Rosa Mexicano menu which means it was very good, but not great although the margarita was first rate. The combination of good weather, good margarita, pleasant and professional service and decent food made it a positive experience.

The food is okay like nothing too special, I had first order a burger way over cooked I sent it back a decided to go with the carne asada. The only real complaint is that for two people the bill was way too high. And the waiter serving us did not desirve as mush as we left her the only time she decided to check on us was to keep trying to get us to leave.

Yelp
I've walked by Rosa Mexicano so many times at the Harbor in pursuit of other dining options and for the first time in over a decade I gave it a try. My first time was an OK experience. When it comes to Mexican food I usually am conservative especially if the restaurant claims to produce traditional flavors and authentic techniques. But more so I am conservative because so many Mexican restaurants claim to be authentic, set their prices as such, and the flavors and experience fall flat. On this occasion the food was just OK. I ordered two kinds of fried protein tacos: shrimp (tempura) and fish (baja). I wouldn't necessarily consider either options competitive against other restaurants in any way and of similar caliber. These were more like street tacos at best based on their size. The fish portion was very insignificant and the flavor had no depth. The plantains I ordered were delicious and cooked to perfection, however, the crema it was dressed with offered no contrasting flavor. I could only taste plantains with every bite. In my opinion the crema didn't complement the dish with flavor or presentation. The kids menu items I ordered (chicken quesadilla, cheeseburger sliders, and chicken fingers) were as good as it can get for kids menu food. The Rosa's Signature Nachos were OK and so was the Queso Fondido. The frozen Lime Margarita was delicious. The customer service from my waiter was good. However, the initial reception from the hostess could have been better. I had a reservation and received so much gameplay about available seating options. Keep in mind it was shortly after midday and the restaurant was virtually empty. They said I couldn't be seated in a booth to which I didn't complain, however, when I asked to sit near the bar one of the hostesses suddenly began an unnecessary attempt to feign poor hearing and language comprehension. In all of my years of dining I immediately recognized the gaming was because they didn't want any customers sitting behind the bar. At the end of my meal it was clear that no other patrons were seated behind the bar. That encounter was very unnecessary. Lastly, there doesn't seem to be any A/C running in this restaurant. As you can see from the photos there is a large tower fan situated at the front of the restaurant near the bar. The weather outside on this day was beautiful, so the indoor temperature wasn't too bad, however, I can't imagine what it's like indoors on a 90+ degrees day. Overall an OK experience. It is definitely worth a visit if looking for a casual dining and drinks option on the harbor. Give them a try.

Yelp
My server was not very attentive and she didn't listen well so she came back 3 times to ask us what 2 items we ordered as entrees. Once food arrived, the birria tacos were tasty just wish they came with a side of rice or pico de gallo. The shrimp alambre arrived with undercooked poblano rices and undercooked shrimp. All in all the dinner was an epic fail and I left hangrier than when I originally arrived.

Yelp
Restaurant is empty and made us wait 45 min for a party of 3.. when we asked how long we had, the hostess would respond, "you only waited xx min out of the 45 min"... and said we have to wait exactly 45 min.. 45 min to the dot they sat us... (again restaurant was empty) . Taste was below average. Wouldn't recommend.

Yelp
Casual lunch date with some of our crew: Sat., 7/27/24. I'm personally not a fan of anything at National Harbor anymore b/c of their ridiculous parking prices butttt it was a beautiful day and you pay for convenience. SHOUT-OUT to our server, Brenda ... personable, warm, accommodating, efficient ... I will ask for her if I go back. As usual, we had a GOODT time talking trash and drinking cold beer, a pitcher of sangria, a pitcher of regular Margarita and a pitcher of mango Margarita (sorry to say, we've had better Margarita's at Cheddar's and Red Lobster). Took pics of most of our entrees (guacamole, chicken quesadillas, steak, fried shrimp, and cheeseburger tacos, etc.). The food was a "Meh" for me. EXCELLENT presentation and there were absolutely NO complaints from anybody in our group but we would definitely just return for the ambiance (YESSS rooftop seating!) and the service.

Yelp
Overall, my experience was very well. And I will say I owe that to the bartender red. She made sure that my friend and I were well taken care of and was very knowledgeable of the menu. Unfortunately, the ceviche and churros were not as good as expected, and our steak was overdone also The chocolate for the churros tasted very chalky .. However, the guacamole trio and were quite delicious. Additionally, the spirits and sangria were great as well. Lastly, in terms of food, I highly suggest the Keylime pie. You cannot beat the view from their outdoor balcony, and the inside is very spacious .

Yelp
One of my favorite places in the Harbor to stop in at for Tex-mex. I also look for Red or Ashley at the bar. They make the best cocktails & always know what to recommend on the menu! I've never seen a bartender duo as efficient as these two. This visit I had the queso & chips, and shrimp Diablo. Sooo yummy! And the Diablo is not lacking in spice. My particular visit was cut a lil short, I noticed a spider hanging from the ceiling. In fact there were 5 in total. The staff notified manager know as well. Although the manager advised the staff to dust in the evening. I was a little disappointed in the manager's lack of communication to notify the patrons that were sitting in the direct line of spiders.! I quickly got my check & left. I'll be back, just be sure to look up first.
