We were exhausted and starving after a long day of biking in Acadia, so after dropping off our bikes at the rental shop next door, we made a beeline for the heavenly scent of pizza emanating from Rosalie's. This is the right move.
We managed to beat the crowds on our October visit, as it was just about 5pm and the dinner hunt hadn't yet started en masse. We sat upstairs, but you actually just go to the counter downstairs to submit your order. We got a salad and decided to share a large pizza, which was plenty of food even for two famished adventurers.
Even though it wasn't yet at capacity, my only struggle here is that it takes a sec to get your food. We figured out the order thing, and there is indeed a bar upstairs, but you're a little on your own for service and it can take a bit of waiting in line to order and pay and then really to get your food. Once it arrived, however, we scarfed it down. We sat the window and contemplated the day, and also wondered if our sore legs would get us down that stairway. It was hot, and we laughed and ate it as the sunlight streamed through those windows and other outdoor adventurers took to the streets below us. It's a lovely way to cap off the day.
Full of bready, saucy, cheesy warmth, we paid (not outrageous, but it ain't cheap) and were on our happy way. Definitely the right move when in town.
