When I first moved here, a local brought me here and I loved it....but it was a bit far from where I live and worked so I didn't go often.
Fast forward a couple of years, when another local / foodie friend wanted to go here because - And here's the best part- it is close to where I work now!
This has enabled me to go here more often, drag my boyfriend here, and I have had the opportunity to try different things. After lunching here, I would frequently come back after lunch, and gush about how amazing my meal was to my co-workers, making my co-workers jealous. (This was kinda mean, because some of the time one of my favorite co-workers was doing Keto.) They all love the food at Rosa's; in fact for the big xmas party they wished we had gotten Rosas instead of tamales and chicken... I digress...
I really love and appreciate my co-workers, and feeling very festive, today I am treating them to a holiday FOOD EXTRAVAGANZA! I knew immediately, where everyone would want to go, and it is of course Rosa's. I recently have been carrying around in my purse one of their Take Out Menu's. (Is this weird?) I presented them a choice of picking out what they wanted: One co-worker wanted the Spinach Manicotti, with the marinara sauce; two wanted the Chicken Parmesan - one wanted it with spaghetti, the other wanted it with Rigatoni, one wanted the Chicken Marsala...
I could not coax them to order more, so I ordered extra of what is now my GO TO ORDER: I get the Chicken Piccata with the wickedly delicious lemon, caper butter sauce over green veggies (broccoli and spinach) instead of pasta. I love pasta, but the sauce is so yummy, I don't even miss the pasta! And I can pat myself on the back for being semi-healthy....It is a very saucy dish, so if I want to be bad/carb eating, it is easy just to use some bread to dip in the sauce....
Then I ordered three of the Italian sausage appetizers. I had tried both the meatballs and the Italian sausage (our waiter thought the meat balls are better) but for me, hands down I just LOVED the Italian sausage more. The red sauce that the sausage is served in is soooooo good! I also ordered two of the large Italian Antipasto Salads. The ingredients taste very fresh; and I love their Italian dressing.
I have also had the Chicken artichoke penne which is very good. Like another yelp reviewer suggested, I got some extra pasta and added it. That was a great suggestion. Still, I am partial to the Chicken Piccata, with that caper lemon butter sauce.
After today's FOOD EXTRAVAGANZA I am sure I will be the darling of my work place.
