"After three decades of serving the Pasadena community, Roscoe’s Chicken ‘n Waffles closed on Sunday, June 22. The Los Angeles Times reports that it’s searching for another “upgraded” location in the area." - Mona Holmes

Roscoe’s Pasadena location is just low key and not so busy ( not a bad thing) Service is always great and it’s clean! 100/100 Delphine is the best here with the best service and prompt!! Chicken is cooked perfectly and the waffles are always delicious! For some reason the rice and gravy here is so good better than the other locations(and we have been to them all)

Food: 3⭐️ We ordered various fried chicken combos. The fried chicken pieces are quite small. The seasoning is delicious on the chicken. However, the breading was a bit thin and not crispy enough, and the meat itself wasn’t particularly moist nor dry. Our favorite side dish was the greens and cornbread with butter. We also tried the pancakes which were thin and soft, the Mac and cheese which had a nice cheese flavor but was a bit mushy and not saucy, and the potato salad which was nothing special. Service: 5⭐️ Our waiter Samuel was very kind and attentive. He made sure everything was perfect throughout our visit. Atmosphere: 5⭐️ Roscoe’s is a very iconic chicken joint to visit while in LA, not as much for the food but more so for its cultural significance.

Have been meaning to come here forever, and finally got around to it - was definitely worth it! Walked in on a Saturday evening around 7 with a group of four and was able to get seated immediately. The service was extremely friendly and engaging. I love dark meat, so the Economy Special (3 legs and 2 thighs) was the way to go - the chicken had a great crunch and flavor while staying moist. I ordered a side waffle as well which was also excellent, both by itself with the whipped butter and syrup as well as with bites of fried chicken. I enjoyed the Roscoe's Original Pepper Sauce on the chicken, it had a nice viscosity, good flavor and kick. Will definitely have to come back next time I’m in the area!

When you get those munchies for some chicken and waffles there’s only once place to go and that’s Roscoe’s. Been coming here since my high school days and this was always the Sunday brunch spot to gather with friends and catch up. I’ve always get the same thing sometimes extra sides but come hungry to eat till your get the itis aka food coma. Always a family friendly spot. Actually went here during Xmas eve and honestly it was the perfect place for that late brunch to fill in your cravings. My goto is the scones 2 with dark meat chicken all smothered in gravy, 2 waffles and eclipse juice which has lemonade, orange juice, and fruit punch. I’m weird that I have to take out all the meat off the bones, set my waffles up with all the fixings, and then devour everything in one sitting. It seems like I’m taking a while at the beginning but I usually am the 1st one done eating cuz I just love having that sweet and savory set up. I haven’t had this meal in years and I’m soooooo glad I went, totally brought back great memories and a fully belly. It can get crowded and crazy busy so just be mindful of the time you go thinking about Sunday fundays and when church lets out would be the busiest day times. Don’t forget that dinner rush. Everyone who works there is usually super chill, they know you’re hungry, wanna have a good time and catch up with family so be patient if and when there’s a rush. Order at the table and pay at the front as you exit Gotta try it at least once in your life. I’ve been to all their locations in the LA county and they pretty much have the same vibe. This one just has a bigger dining area and the parking is easier to get to.

This location is the worse for food 🥘 but is a safer then the other 6 locations, the waffles 🧇 was very good the syrup needed to be bottled and sold, the chicken was raw. I believe the chef was trying to give me salmonella poisoning 🤢🤮, and when I told the waiter the situation he suggested he said he will tell the chef to dip the half eaten chicken 🍗 back inside the grease and make it extra crispy😕

The food was great. We ordered the original chicken strips with waffles meal and sweet tea. It was all very tasty. The service was great, waiter was friendly and fast. The atmosphere was nice with good oldies music playing in the background. Unfortunately, we went on the weekend they happen to be closing down to find another location. So when they do, we will go again.

Went here during our vacation and had some of the best chicken and waffles we have ever had. This place is dishes out some great food. I have three people with me and we all ordered the chicken tenders and waffles. All of us agreed that this was the best chicken and waffles that we have ever had. The wait staff were friendly and attentive and made the experience great. The only issue we had was with how they handled payment. The prices were already pretty steep for what the food was and on top of that they would not split the check until you went to pay. They also charge a surcharge for anyone used a credit card which is inconvenient. Besides those few problems I highly recommend coming out and enjoy a plate of chicken and waffles.

This review is based off an Uber eats delivery so it’s not the full dining experience but it was still a good meal overall. I ordered the herb’s special & an extra piece of chicken. The waffles were on point and excellent, especially with the butter and syrup. The chicken wasn’t as good as I’ve had in the past. It was a bit over cooked but still went well with my waffles & I’m pretty sure it’s better in an in dining setting. I’d definitely eat here again because it’s my favorite chicken & waffle chain. I highly recommend this spot or the one in Hollywood. It’s the original fried chicken and waffle spot to go to.
