"Looking for a classic, easy coffee date? Rose Cafe off the Katy Trail is the spot. The aesthetics in here are top-notch; the patio tables that face out to the trail make for great people-watching and have cozy, overstuffed pillow cushions to sit on. The options for coffee run the spectrum from simple to fancy, so if your date wants a lavender latte but you’re a drip person, you can both get what you want. If you hit it off, Rose Cafe also has light bites and wines. There is free underground parking in the building." - Courtney E. Smith, Rachel Pinn

"Rose Cafe, which sits adjacent to Le PasSage, shares the restaurant’s French and Asian DNA. Serving coffee, pastries, breakfast, and lunch — as well as numerous wine and cocktail options — since its opening in October, it’s a sunny space with a patio looking on to the Katy Trail. Stop in for a little treat or to soak in the sunshine off the tree-lined trail over a bite." - Courtney E. Smith

"Rose Cafe is one of Dallas’s newest hot spots, right on the Katy Trail. It’s a great place for a lighter breakfast, with incredible pastries, tons of drink choices, and some Asian-inflected breakfast dishes. Get congee (savory rice porridge, chicken, poached egg, scallions, pickled daikon, and chili oil) or the Sunrise Bowl (red quinoa, almonds, sauteed spinach, and tamari egg). There is ample free parking in the garage under the building." - Courtney E. Smith

After a long ride in Katy trail we decided to stop for an early dinner at this beautiful cafe. Great decision! Peaceful environment, great vibes and decor, casual and classy. Excellent food and friendly service.

Lovely cafe off the Katy trail at the terminal, great variety of pastries and delicious coffee and matcha! Great ambiance and outdoor seating, decor was very nice. Staff is still trying to figure out service so being really specific with orders and being patient will help a lot with the experience. Overall excited for it to only get better from here and will be back! Highly recommend the pastries and coffee/matcha!

“Lots of potential” is the phrase that comes to mind with Rose Cafe. The location on the Katy Trail makes it a “walkable” spot. It’s one of the few places in Dallas where you can experience a sense of the cafe culture of European cities. The food items on the menu range from meh (five spice ribs and shrimp toast) to really delicious (the baos, spring rolls, and baked items). I was expecting really great coffee, but so far Rose Cafe is on the outside looking in at the top 3 cafes in Dallas. The service is friendly, somewhat chaotic, and can be slow. It’s a new spot with a new team. The bottom line is Rose Cafe has the potential to be the best cafe. It’s just not there yet.

I had a great time at the Rose Cafe. I got a pan au chocolate and a latte both of which were excellent. The pan au chocolate was well and not overly dry with a great balance of chocolate to pastry. The latte also tasted high quality. Service was friendly and the ambiance was nice. Although it is a bit expensive, I would recommend stopping by here.

Food was good, just be aware that the coconut noodles contain peanut. Luckily I’m not that allergic however it was not on the menu that this contained peanuts. Otherwise it was good but if you have allergies I would ask prior to ordering

The atmosphere is absolutely wonderful. And I really like the staff. I've been waited on by David twice now. Very chill, yet courteous. I think the food and drink needs some improvement. The prices are about what I would expect for the location, but I don't think the quality quite hits the mark.

Super cute cafe right on Katy Trail! Parking was a little confusing since we’ve never been in this area before, but we managed. The food was delicious, and the staff was very kind. Only day 2 since opening but they did great! Try their avocado toast, amazing!! Had their breakfast menu, but plan to come back for lunch sometime 😊

My wife and I had been looking forward to trying this place since we saw it being built months and months ago on the katy trail. We finally went and will never be returning. In short, service was extremely unimpressive and inattentive, the sandwich I ordered was smaller than the size of my palm and was comprised ONLY of 1 thin slice of tomato and 3 basil leaves (I’m not joking, I have photos), and the juice was $3 extra if you want to take it to go. Take my advice and go spend your money elsewhere. First, we approached on the outer side of the establishment because we had our dog with us and everybody with dogs were on that side. We went up to the counter because it looks like it’s where you would order from and even had a menu sitting there for you. We stood there for 10 minutes while workers walked by us over and over again, then finally one girl finally informed us that we couldn’t order from there. Would’ve been nice to know before standing there for 10 minutes. We went inside and ordered. I wanted the roasted chicken sandwich, they didn’t have it in stock. So I ordered the tomato basil sandwich. First, the sandwich is smaller than the size of my palm, I’m not exaggerating. It was on crustless plain white bread, and I’m not joking, had 1 thin slice of tomato and 3 basil leaves. That was the sandwich I paid (too much) money for. Lastly, we ordered 2 juices. It turns out that if you want the juice to go, they charge you an additional $3. That is an intentional unethical thing to do given that the establishment is off the trail, they know alot of people swing by and get an order to go. We shouldn’t be punished for that. In my 28 years of existence, I’ve never been charged not even 2 cents more than normal, only because I wanted to take my purchased item to go. That’s crazy. There was not one redeeming factor in our experience and will not be returning. Take my advice, save your money, and go elsewhere.
