Downtown’s New Little Sesame Looks Like an Airy Desert Oasis | Eater DC

"Serving as Little Sesame’s tropical sister spot in Navy Yard, the palm-filled Rosé Garden outside Whaley’s is noted for its palm-filled outdoor setting and is referenced as an inspiration for the plant-forward, relaxed vibe." - Tierney Plumb

This place and park in general is beautiful. I took my daughter's senior pictures at the Rose Garden. I just wish people would pick up after themselves. It was a few days after Easter and there was some debris under the bushes from an egg hunt. Gave 4 stars only because...well it's still Stockton so there's always a chance you could get robbed after you enjoy the lovely scenery!

The rose garden at Victory Park is being renovated and a landscape art project is well underway for the summer. . With the memorial site at the firehouse in the park along with new restroomit's a must see, fabulous park, for Stockton.

Absolutely a gorgeous rose garden to go and visit. Depending on the time of year, it can take quite a while to go through the entire garden if the roses are all in bloom. There are large roses along with miniatures. No matter how pretty the rose is, DO NOT PICK OR CUT; leave the roses for all to enjoy! I'm a total rose sniffer, and I like to stick my nose close enough to where I can smell the roses. Yes, I literally take the time to smell the roses. There are SO many varieties, and they all smell different; it takes quite some time to see them all. Each rose bush has a little placard by it telling the common and scientific name of the rose, so it is of educational value if you take the time to read while you are observing. The garden is managed by a volunteer "club" they used to get together monthly. I'm not sure how often they come together after pandemic. Definitely, I highly recommend coming to Stockton to check out this garden and this spectacular very popular park!

Yelp
Lovely well kept little garden of roses. Great for photo ops when in bloom! Can't give 5* because it is very small and I have neighbors with more roses than this, lol! But it is what it is, and the museum behind it is lovelier still!

Yelp
This rose garden is located next to the Haggin Museum, to the right if your facing the front of the building. It's nothing extraordinary and a little disappointing tbh. There were hardly any roses, and the ones that were blooming, seemed to be dying from lack of water. Although the pictures I took are alive and well roses, this isn't a place you can take the kids (or your friends) and have a little photo shoot. The minute amount of roses may also be due to the fact that some people cut and take them, but that's still a mystery. While the park is a nice place to relax or work out, the rose garden is something people can pass by without taking much appreciation for it.

Yelp
The rose garden is very relatively small. But they had beautiful roses. I wish they had more roses. My favorite roses were the pink ones..
