The Rose Spa markets itself as a luxury spa experience, but my visit fell far short of that standard. At best, this is a basic, subpar spa, and not at all what is advertised—especially given the price point.
Upon arrival, we were given an overview of what was described as a “journey,” which included detox elements such as a shower, steam room, and ice bath. However, once I was taken to the men’s area, I was informed that the steam room was out of service. Additionally, the so-called “ice bath” was not an ice bath at all—it was simply a sink filled with ice and a towel, which I was told could be used to cool off. This was a significant departure from what was explained and advertised.
Hoping to at least enjoy a relaxing shower, I turned on the water—only to be swarmed by roughly 10–15 small gnat-like flies that came up from the drain. This was extremely unpleasant and completely unacceptable in any spa environment, let alone one branding itself as luxury. Even small details in amenities were missing like shaving cream…we got a disposable razor but no shaving cream available.
The staff themselves were polite, professional, and it was a good massage. But for a +$500 experience the amenities, cleanliness, and overall experience do not align with the spa’s marketing or pricing. Based on my experience, I would not recommend The Rose Spa to anyone seeking a true luxury or premium spa experience.
