Our hotel made a reservation for us at this off the tourist track restaurant. We split things family style. Appetizers: Fleur de courgette tempura (zucchini blossoms stuffed with ricotta, parmesan, lemon thyme, mushrooms and peppers)-delicious; asparagus with lobster and sauce of (very mild) curry and kefir; and last, and the surprise hit, croquette de canard (duck) confit with goat cheese, dill truffles and a carrots vinaigrette. Plats principaux (mains): half Cornish hen with salsa verde, grilled green onions, cherry tomatoes in chili oil (really an appetizer), scallops with miso butter, maitake mushrooms, cabbage and artichokes (my wife’s favorite); and agneau de Kamouraska: braised lamb, it’s jus, pistachios, cipollini onions formed into a brick with a side of parsley potatoes (my favorite). Nice wine list but my son and his fiancé had cocktails (also a hit) so my wife had an Alsatian pinot blanc-pinot gris blend and I an above average Côtes du Rhône. Service was slow but the staff (mostly Chloe) were nice. Didn’t order dessert since we had gone patisserie surfing earlier.

An Institution in the heart of Rosemont 👌🏻 Nestled in the heart of Promenade Masson in Rosemont, Rose Ross stands as a true institution, celebrated not only for its exceptional cuisine but also for its vibrant atmosphere and stunning interior design. From the moment you step through the doors, you are greeted by an ambiance that seamlessly blends elegance with warmth and originality. The star of the show here is undoubtedly the chef Myriam, whose culinary prowess transforms fresh, locally sourced ingredients into artful dishes that tantalize the taste buds. Each plate is a masterpiece, showcasing innovative techniques and a deep respect for traditional flavors. The attention to detail is evident in every bite. The everchanging menu is thoughtfully curated, ensuring that each visit offers something new to discover. Complementing the exquisite food is a cocktail menu that is nothing short of spectacular. The mixologist Sébastien at Rose Ross is a true artists, crafting drinks that are as visually stunning as they are delicious. From classic concoctions to inventive signatures, there’s something for every palate. The use of fresh herbs, house-made syrups, and artisanal spirits elevates the drinking experience, making it a perfect prelude to your meal or a delightful way to unwind after a long day. And the bar section, with its pink canopy and vintage fun rides cabochon lamps is my favourite place to unwind from work. The interior design of the Rose Rose is a feast for the eyes, featuring a trompe-l’oeil of being inside of a train wagon. The carefully chosen decor, with its soft lighting, velvet banquettes and artistic accents like the incredible wall of wines creates an inviting space that encourages relaxation and conversation. Each detail, from the artwork on the walls to the carefully arranged table settings, enhances the overall dining experience, making it feel both special and intimate. On a street filled with fast food options and american chains, the Rose Ross remains a class act, a standout destination, to be celebrated and protected, thanks to its exceptional chef, creative cocktails, and stunning interior design. It’s the perfect place for a romantic dinner, a celebratory gathering, or simply to indulge in a night of culinary delight. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, a visit to this restaurant is an experience not to be missed. Highly recommended! 10/10

I went to Rose Ross with friends I hadn't seen for a while. The ambiance in the restaurant was lovely, with dim warm lights that made it a very pleasant environment to share a good bottle of wine. The food was very nice. We had the fish balls and akras balls as an appetizer, and then the beef with vegetables, chorizo-stuffed squid, and duck. All three plates were good, with the beef being a highlight. Overall, the experience was good, with the kitchen striking a delicate balance between high-end and homely. The price tag is a bit steep for it to be an every day - or every week - restaurant, but for special occasions, it is a great choice. I recommend it wholeheartedly.

Each dish is a delicious creative yet comforting combination of local and seasonal food. We were a party of 3 who likes sharing plates so we got to taste a good chunk of the menu from appetizers to desserts, and I already know I will have a hard time picking next time since everything was so good. The atmosphere was pretty nice, I liked the style, but especially appreciated the effort on sound quality (dampening and good speakers), that kept it cozy and not a loud place like so many places. Service was on point, I could nitpick about the first wine pairing being a bit late, but the waitress made up for it.

I came here with my boyfriend and his father. Everyone loved the atmosphere and said the food was excellent. I have a seafood allergy and the server was very careful about informing me which dishes I could have and what changes the kitchen could make to certain plates. The wine selection was also fabulous! I will come here again sometime soon.

It's a friend from Montreal who made me discover this place couple years ago and I wouldn't go anywhere else when visiting her. The food is incredible for the price tag. Selection of wine is great. I've recently visited Montreal and we went back to Rose Ross, it's was as good as in my memory. We both had a lovely time there.

Yelp
This restaurant was just ok in my books. I was expecting a bit more of this place. I had been intrigued about it every time a passed it by on the street. The ever changing menu and decor are promising. However, when I went with my friend the atmosphere was off. It seemed hollow and didn't have enough character. The appetizer we chose was too expensive for what it was. It was simply fresh mozzarella on a bed of raw veggies. It did taste good I'll give it that. We waited so long for our mains that even tipsy on wine we noted it to each other. Plus the resto was empty, which was concerning. My bavette came lukewarm. For the wait I didn't expect that. It was just ok as well. For the price of this restaurant on Masson I believed the food and experience would be amazing. Unfortunately, it did not deliver.

Yelp
Rose Ross has a cozy and clean atmosphere and the staff is super friendly. Their brunch menu is small, consists of 5 dishes. I like that, it makes the choice easier and tells you that they are putting dedication into each dish. I had the smoked salmon, squash & poached egg with hollandaise and it was fantastic. My partner had the french toast and it was also very very very tasty. The reason I am taking off a star is, unfortunately, for the portions. My 18$ meal was no more than 4 bites. Four delicious bites, but four 18 dollar bites nonetheless. And my partner's french toast had but a half slice of thin bread on the plate for 15$. There was a little mix-up in the kitchen, and they promptly made up for it before we even said anything with a slab of delicious chocolate chunky banana bread, which I consider to be great service. So... Food is great, service is great, atmosphere is great, location on Masson is great but the quantity-price (something I very seldom complain about) is terrible. Add another piece of french toast, guys!
