FANTASTIC! Today is one of the first days the Rose Street Patisserie is open at this location, and I couldn't be more thrilled with both the quality, and historic building! I'm loving the relaxed french feel of the patisserie, I'm loving how they are making from scratch these incredible baked goods right on site! I ordered simple items- you can tell a lot by how well an establishment creates their most simplest of goods. It was incredible! From the spot on flaky and buttery authentic croissants, to the delectable roast and completion of their latte.
The staff are friendly and helpful. I dined in and got to listen to how they work with each other. It is a good working atmosphere! The owner also checked in with me, and he is a kind soul. I also appreciate how helpful and considerate they were, checking in with me several times over the course of the hour I was there.
Later, I brought in my family and we tried a few of the other items. The Spring Rose Dessert is very well done! Soft, delicious, delicate, and full of flavor! We also tried their chocolate chip and oatmeal cookies- perfectly buttery and just enough of both crunch and soft cookie goodness. Other family members purchased a few of the other pastries and they looked beautiful and wholesome.
They have a quaint outside dining area, perfect for the true Parisian patio feel, tucked between two historic Schmidt buildings which give ambiance.
Five Stars! Will be back- most likely as a regular.
