Roseline Coffee Cafe & Roastery

The espresso is excellent without being overpowering or bitter. I chose my drink “for here” to enjoy the cozy environment. This spot is tucked away on NE Davis, but worth the find. I’m obsessed with the orange color splash, greenery and wood accents. I enjoyed the Lemon Poppy Seed Scone. Plenty of baked choices and other food options. The crew are 10+ very kind.

Whenever I come to Portland I always make it a priority to stop be Roseline. Their drinks and the ambiance is top tier. I love getting my drinks in house, and lounging in their unique space. A great entry into visiting the city and a core memory for me.

I moved from Australia, home of flat white coffee. FW is not on their menu, but the guy made me an AMAZING flat white- silky,smooth, coffee notes is there. My first visit and the staff are friendly Will be back Thank you kindly

Excellent coffee shop all around. The espresso was super good. I ordered a mocha and almond croissant. The croissant was very yummy. The inside has lots of seating, and there is a large outdoor patio with tables, too. Noise levels are low and would be ideal for remote work or video conferencing. There are outlets next to tables close to the wall.

You know it’s going to be good when the beans are roasted right there. Really really good cortado! Cool spot with a pleasant open and colorful vibe. I’ll be back!

I cannot stress how much better Roseline is than the more popular Coava coffee down the street. Three things Roseline employees are actual hipsters. Like the cool, “yeah I know John from Portugal. The man” type of 2010 hipsters than only Portland can make. Coava are wanna be hipsters and it’s so obvious that it comes off pretentious. That leads me to number two Roseline has great service while Coava doesn’t want you to be alive And finally the coffee is just made better. Look how they make the Americano it’s actually perfect and cheaper!

I’ve popped into Roseline Coffee on NE Davis twice recently when I ran out of beans at home. I usually prefer to brew my own, but in a pinch, they really came through. Their black filtered coffee is smooth with low acidity and priced fairly at $4.50 for a large—no complaints there. I haven’t tried the pastries yet, but the selection looks solid and fresh. Overall, a reliable spot with good coffee and a clean, inviting setup. Definitely a good backup—or even a go-to—for your caffeine needs.

Such a cute spot! I appreciated the well thought out decor and spacious indoor and outdoor seating options. They also had a simple coffee/drink menu with very tasty espresso. Will be retuning here in the future!

I found this new place that opened up just 3 months ago while riding around on the lime scooters! So happy to have tried their two seasonal drinks, iced cherry bean matcha and miso caramel latte. The ice cherry bean matcha (sub oat milk) had the perfect matcha balance, not too bitter but not too light. The fruity cherry syrup added to it made it the perfect refreshing flavored drink. I wasn't sure what to expect when I ordered the miso caramel, but it is delicious. It tastes like a silky warm toasted caramel candy. It is a bit on the sweeter side, but that's typical of anything caramel related. I really liked this drink. So glad I found this place while visiting!

The new location for Roseline Coffee (previously Barista?) is a hidden gem; so much, that I halfway don't want to leave a review because before you know it, there'll be a line to get coffee and nowhere to park. Alas, it's worth letting out the secret that this is the best Roseline location in PDX, hands down. In a part of NE/SE saturated by coffee shops, Roseline shines. The space is surprisingly bright and airy considering the neighboring highways and busy one-way corridors of Grand, MLK, Davis, etc. Parking would probably be tough here, and I wouldn't recommend commandeering the Knot Springs / Yard lot unless you pay the fee. They're fast to ticket. Or so I hear.. Anyway! Back to Roseline. The coffee is great and the barista/baristo always knows what's up. You can quickly get a cup to stay or to go, or you can linger and learn as much as you want about a particular blend or roasting method. The staff here seem to truly enjoy not only the coffee they make, but also the customers, which is a breath of fresh air. I don't like to be all "serve me!" to folks in the service industry, but I also like to know I'm just as welcome as my wallet. The drink specials are solid, but they always are with Roseline. The food / pastry shelf is well-stocked with croissants, cookies, and breakfast burritos. The seating is unique, full of healthy plants and a bench / table setup like none I have ever seen. Overall, the shop feels open, cozy, private, and friendly all at once, and I think you'd be hard pressed to find another coffee shop in Portland with this balance of quality, consistency, knowledge, and enthusiasm. Try them out!

I was so excited to see this location of Roseline open up. Even though Portland is so saturated with coffee, Roseline still remains a consistent offering in the city even as it expands. This location is also a roastery, and the smell of fresh coffee hits the senses upon entering. The interior design reminds me of the 70s with its groovy colors and curvy benches. We ordered an oat milk cortado and one of their specialty drinks. The specialty drink was similar to an espresso tonic, but with the espresso syrup that they use, the drink almost ended up taking licorice-y and was a really interesting flavor combination that I thought was pretty creative. I wish I had more time to actually sit down and take it all in, so I guess I'll just have to come back to sit down and truly enjoy the full experience!
