Ed Sheeran’s Fans Showed Up in Droves for His Pop-Up Irish Pub on the North Shore | Eater Boston

"The Kennebunk, Maine offshoot of a celebrated NYC sushi restaurant, represented by executive chef Matt Kramer, who was invited to co-lead a special 16-course omakase at a Chestnut Hill sushi spot; the outpost extends the reputation of its New York predecessor for high-end sushi and technique-driven preparations." - Erika Adams

We had a fantastic dinner on a snowy January evening. We sat at the counter and Genevieve was our chef (because it wasn't busy, we felt like we were having a personal chef experience). Everything was delicious including some off menu creations from Genevieve (ex., smoked bluefish role). We loved the spicey avocado roll also. Many of the fishes are dry aged and/or smoked, which I wouldn't have guessed had I not been told. I suspect this restaurant is a zoo during the summer season, but going when it's not too crowded and sitting at the counter is definitely the way to go. This is a sister restaurant to Rosella in the East Village NYC (and Bar Miller)

Absolutely outstanding Restaurant with the absolute, precious seafood sushi you could ever sync your teeth into our personal chef. Genovese was absolutely fabulous preparing us our dishes and letting us know what was on these particular pieces of Sushi when she sent them out to us at the bar in front while we watched her prepare these. This is a five star plus plus plus location. The staff was absolutely incredible and our personal Sushi chef Genovese was absolutely amazing. Matt was excellent. This place is class A Restuarant and highly recommend

We are huge sushi and omakase fans and this place was top notch. The fish quality was comparable if not better than many other sushi spots in the northeast, Boston and NYC. We tried the live scallop, halibut wing, fatty tuna, amberjack, redfish, bluefish, Maine uni, and rainbow trout and quite honestly none of these pieces missed. We would reorder every piece and then try more. So good. Servers and hostesses seemed a little confused at time, but would not change our amazing review of this place. Can’t wait to come back and try this place again.

Truly the best sushi I've had in years and easily the best meal of our Maine vacation. Highly recommend sitting at the sushi bar and letting them take you on a journey if you're adventurous. All the Nigiri was incredible!

If you are trying to pick where to go for dinner in Kennebunkport, you should make it Rosella! We loved our experience here with Chef Collin and Chef Kate, and Harrison was a wonderful server. This was one of the best meal experiences we’ve ever had, and it made for an extra special memory from our honeymoon. The food is phenomenal and the service was great. Highly recommend making a reservation to ensure you get to enjoy this experience.

Going in, we expected to pay a lot, with looking at the menu and reading reviews. However, our overall experience was 5/5 all around. Our waitress Stacey gave us a special experience, and we’re already talking about going back. We got a small plate to share from the hot/cold choices, and ordered 2 of a few different nigiri. The dishes were outstanding, but the nigiri was what won us over. We ordered the smoked trout nigiri once, and then again for dessert.

One of the better high end sushi restaurants we’ve experienced. I was a little skeptical as KPT is touristy but as a previous reviewer noted this is a sleeper. Every piece of nigiri sushi was delicious with layers of flavors that accentuated the quality of the ingredients. I recommend the nigiri over the maki. The bluefish nigiri was exceptional. The sushi chefs are interactive and take time to talk about their creations. Interesting wine list including a number of natural wines.

I adored this place. If you want to try unique flavors, this is the spot. Chef Matt and his team provided us with an amazing experience. They are rich in talent and knowledge in what they do. I usually don’t like soy sauce, but theirs is the best I’ve ever tried. The niguiri surpasses Uni Boston; no comparison in flavor. I love sitting at the bar table and engaging with the chef, learning while enjoying the food. It’s a new restaurant in Kennebunkport, a great place for food lovers
