Incredible fresh and flavorful gourmet sandwiches. Don’t miss the house made chips. I will be back soon to try the soft serve! Absolutely everything here is a hit!

Google
Best sandwiches in the neighborhood...and beyond! It's rare to find a vegan sandwich from a meat-serving establishment that's hearty, tasty, and doesn't use weird, processed fake meats. The Spaulding is perfect. My family got the Wilshire, Curson, and Stanley and raved about all of them. And the homemade chips were amazing. Can't wait to go back!!

Google
I’m so happy that this place is close to where I live! The sandwiches are HUGE and I typically can only eat half, but the ingredients are fresh and the sandwiches are amazing— some of the best I’ve had in LA.

Ordered the kids sandwhich bento. I know the sandwhich came with mayo but it was DROWNING in mayo. There was so much it was gross. Tried to eat the pineapple but it smelled and tasted like pure onion. My bf liked his chicken pesto sandwhich but the kids bento sucked which is crazy since it's super simple.

Google

The Spaulding Vegan Sandwich is AWESOME! Highly Recommend!

Google
Visited for lunch and their sandwiches were amazing. We got the Spaulding Vegan and Stanley Turkey sandwich. Great bread and all the ingredients were really fresh. Highly recommend. Atmosphere is casual. Limited seating, but good for lunch.

Google
The vegan sandwich is incredibly good. I'm not vegan, but this is an incredible combination of flavors embraced by high quality bread toasted to perfection. As someone else mentioned, portions are huge: I always get two meals out of one sandwich.

Yelp
Picked up the tuna sandwich a couple days ago and WOW - it's delicious and so unique! The bread is so yummy, the pepperoncini on it is delicious, the chickpeas add great texture. Also, it's huge so I ate it in two sittings. I always think wow R&T is expensive, but what you get for the $$ is totally worth it for everything I've tried here so far. Love having this place 2 blocks from my house.

Yelp
This is an adorable little sandwich shop that I wish I knew about earlier! Although the prices are a bit steep, the sandwiches are massive and the ingredients are really fresh. The Saturn Turkey was a perfect turkey sandwich, and the Hauser Cali avocado grilled cheese was yum as well. Super satisfying. Service was also very quick and the restaurant is bright and airy.

Yelp
Ok, R and T. I knew you had the ability to be that girl, and you have proven me right! I was by no means pleased or impressed with my first order, but I knew you had it in you to be great. I gave you a 2nd chance and I am glad I did. The Dunsmuir Italian is your redemption song. This is everything I thought the Curson would be. This is the Italian sandwich that I ordered elsewhere, because the ingredients are common, but you did it better. Folks are wasting their time with chain sandwich shops when they need to patronize R and T. Since I had a side salad with my first order, I chose potato chips with this order. They are homemade. Crisp (kettle cooked?), not too salty. A great accompaniment to my delicious Italian sandwich. I am enjoying this and will definitely order it again. The ingredients are fresh and premium quality. If you order, enjoy.

Yelp
Great little local, no fuss restaurant with appealing food and service. All the ingredients are very fresh, combined together in interesting ways with good presentation. There aren't but a handful of tables and seats, but whether you dine in or take it home, the sandwiches are rather tasty. Staff is all quite friendly, and willing to help you figure out what's good Have had the Saturn Turkey and Tuna open-faced sandwich with micro-greens. Also tried the Mango Lemonade which is made-in house--nicely tart with good mango flavor. Dessert offerings are soft-serve ice cream (with the option of a wafer-like waffle cone), brownies, or cookies. Looking forward to coming back for brunch one weekend.

Yelp
Yummy sandwiches! They were super tasty, but somehow also felt a little healthy lol. I love all the fun street names. Friendly staff and the owner, Lisa, is lovely and takes pride in her restaurant. Just wish I lived closer. THANK YOU!

Marie C.

Yelp
Ok. So I demolished this before I could take a photo. Suffice to say this is the best freaking lunch spot west of the east side. Yes, you'll pay a little more for the heirloom tomatoes and organic fresh pesto, but it's worth every cent. I rarely eat out because I can make better food at home. Not here. It gives me ideas, delights my senses, you get the idea. Just try it yourself. But please don't make this an Instagram spot because I enjoy the peace and quiet and no line!

Yelp
Listen, the sandwiches are really good, but I'm more than a little freaked out by the prices ($23 for a sando!). We happened to go to Uncle Paulie's the same week that I ordered take out from R+T. Uncle Paulie's also has really good sandwiches. For $14. And there's a healthy amount of DNA overlap in the types of sandwiches. Also, Uncle Paulie's is in Beverly Grove and R+T is in mid-Wilshire. From a rent/overhead perspective, this is nothing short of puzzling.

Yelp
I'm always ordering the orange grove (sandwich and salad version) and the pickford panini and they typically never disappoint. Sometimes the chicken is a little overcooked, but not horrible. Sometimes the bread for the pickford panini is a little too salty but can just be brushed off the top. I always get the side salad with the sandwiches and it is a little salty at the bottom of the container but not the worst. Their cookies are great too and I can't believe they're organic (sometimes a little too mushy in the middle but it's okay)!. When I first found this spot I told my mom about it (she loved it) and then my grandma (she loved it too). Three generations of customers lol. Even my sister favors the buffalo cauliflower (we tried to recreate at home but it can't compare). My mom and grandma loved the summer ceviche which they will miss for fall but they said they stocked up! Their pat go lightly (lemonade) and tony mojo (strawberry lemonade) are good and refreshing (strawberry lemonade is a little inconsistent with sweet/tart levels but still good)! Service is good (even when ordering through Uber eats they fulfill modification requests), typically one woman taking orders in the front (I don't know her name but she's nice) and occasionally I'll see the owner in there (she's nice too). Shout out to the chef too, I've only seen him once but he's doing a great job. Ambiance is nice and inviting, not too many seats but it's never packed packed so it works out. My grandma mentioned that she lived in the area to the owner and gave her the street name, and the owner was kind enough to feature a fall item with that name so I am very appreciative of that! This place appeals to me so much because of the organic ingredients, and I am thankful I can afford to treat myself to this food occasionally. I am also curious what oil you guys fry in?
google avatar

Anna T.

Yelp
Great food! Never went inside but I do order occasionally on Postmates and it never disappoints!
google avatar

Rose L.

Yelp
Can someone tell me what time you guys close? The last 4 times I tried ordering at 2:00 pm and no one answers the phone, nor can I order online. I pass by and it says closed and it's 2:20 and I see people in the kitchen area, door locked, but your hours of operation say until 3pm M-F. I like your food, I'm willing to support your business being local and all but how can I if you are closed a whole hour earlier than you say?

Sandra D.

Yelp
I could not have been more satisfied. One of the best sandwiches around! Very kind staff. Ingredients were fresh and everything tasted so good!!!!!!! Can't wait to go back

Yelp
Sucks to write this review, because I was looking forward to trying this place for awhile. I was craving a sandwich, so I ordered Postmates & got the Curson Italian with chips, and a side of tater tots with cotija, parsley and garlic aioli. Let's start with the positives: the potato chips seemed homemade, the garlic aioli dipping sauce was delicious, and they included ketchup since I had run out (which was much appreciated). However, for this amount of money, my sandwich had the saddest, tiniest amount of meat (supposed to be prosciutto AND salami, but barely any of either), and the sandwich was mostly arugula, which was dressed with a lemony dressing that overpowered the entire sandwich to the point where you could pretty much taste nothing else. My bread and the tater tots were both soggy from transit (maybe think about cutting a vent in the container for the tots?). I probably won't order again.

Annora K.

Yelp
they literally served me black mold. i do not trust that this place is properly cleaned or safe to eat from. be cautious when coming here

Leah B.

Yelp
A seriously great local sandwich spot! I was apprehensive after reading some of the negative reviews but, decided to give this place a shot. (I live right down the street). The service was quick, kind, and helpful. The ambiance was fine. Nothing to write home about. The sandwich I had was delicious! Soft and toasted bread filled perfectly with everything you need. The garlic aoli was the perfect addition. I highly recommend!

Yelp
I can't recommend this place any more!! It has the best sandwiches and soft serve in Los Angeles, no joke. You need to try this place.

Carlos And Penny L.

Yelp
Food was great and staff was accommodating to our family. If we are ever in the area again we will definitely be back.

Alicia T.

Yelp
Absolutely the best bread and they use it to make their sandwiches and it's a side on their breakfast orders. You can even order bread buns to accompany your meals at home which is wonderful for the holidays, or any day. Their breakfast is perfect. The eggs and sausage are cooked to perfection and the bacon was crispy just the way I like it. And don't get me started on their rolls.

Yelp
Obsessed! Delicious, fresh, organic and great vibes. My daughter said she had the best fries of her life, so... I hope they open up for more happy hours soon! Loved it!!
google avatar

Nadine D.

Yelp
Today was my first time ordering from them, and my boyfriend had the chicken Pickford Panini sandwich, which was amazing! I had the orange Grove chicken sandwich also amazing. She threw in some tater tots for us, which were so tasty also. Definitely will go back and order other things because everything on their menu sounds terrific! The portion size was excellent and you get a little salad with your sandwich. Definitely worth the price. Service was fantastic and the owner is super nice. Next time I will get the soft serve ice cream because Phillip did give me a sample one day when I was driving for Uber Eats while waiting for my order.

Yelp
We used to go to the original Olsen's 20yrs ago for delicious meatballs, and then the new Swedish Olsen's for tasty sandwiches and treats. So we were excited to see a new sandwich shop breathe life into the old Olsen's. But the new R&T disappoints. The grilled chicken on my salad was dry, the goddess dressing over-salted, and the salad was generally boring. The Italian sandwich was not good, and had a piece of plastic packaging inside. The vegan sandwich was okay. I ordered curbside pickup but there is no parking available. I tried calling the phone on my order and it rings to VM for someone named Lisa while the number on yelp goes unanswered. I had to illegally park to run in and get my order. If you're going to offer curbside then you need to designate a curb and answer your phone. A hassle and not worth the price of admission. Really unfortunate bc Olsen's was a gem and this neighborhood could use it.
google avatar

Eric R.

Yelp
A note to the business owner... Why are your prices so darn high? For reference, this is not Beverly hills... If you look at the prices for subs from popular sandwich shops, the price range is between $13 and $17. For this price, the sandwiches should come with a side and perhaps prepared by sweet baby Jesus.
google avatar

Fetoony Z.

Yelp
Insanely overpriced for quality and the amount of food you are given. The ceviche tasted sweet like it had ketchup in it. Not a great value for the quality and quantity. For the price, I was expecting to be blown away. This is not worth over $50. Sorry.
google avatar

Placid B.

Yelp
$22 turkey sandwich?!!!! I tried it and it's pretty basic. Not even arugula for that price just plain lettuce. The company says they care about their employees I really hope they get commission on the outrageous prices.
google avatar

Will S.

Yelp
The Stanley Turkey is amazing. Super fresh tasting and the sourdough is perfectly toasted. All of the ingredients pair well. Chill energy inside. Metered parking directly on the street. Will definitely be back to try more.

Ana T.

Yelp
What a delightful and delicious surprise. The Saturn sandwich is one of the best sandwiches I have ever had. The avocado and cheese is so fresh and delicious but nothing beats the soft grilled sourdough. It is AMAZING. Do yourself a favor and try their fries. I can't wait to try their brunch.
google avatar

Jeremy P.

Yelp
I live near this location and had been meaning to try it since it opened a few weeks ago. I had the Stanley Turkey sandwich, which was absolutely fantastic (All the foods are named after local streets, which is cute). Initially I was taken aback by the price (~$20 for most sandwiches) but they're quite large. I took half back home to share with my wife. The bread had excellent texture and flavor. I had been looking for a solid open crumb sourdough or white since Mendocino Farms removed their rustic white option, and this was just what I wanted. All the ingredients were top notch, and I'll definitely come back to try more!

Yelp
Incredible sandwiches. Very messy but good messy. Not only was it incredibly good. one is enough for two people. It's a small spot so drive slow when you look for it.

Tonya A.

Yelp
I'm updating my review... great customer service, recommendations and incredible sandwiches, glad to have this place close clean and nice energy as well
google avatar

Shan S.

Yelp
Food was delicious but had to take two stars off because why the heck was 20+ $ for a sandwich lol. I have to say that the bread + spread + turkey slices are fantastic.

Yelp
YUM. Prices are definitely up there - but I'm closing down on the Spaulding Vegan and it's really delicious. Got that and the chips and both are really delicious. Good size. Having half now and saving the other for later. Husband and I picked this up after having a nice breakfast at Little Miss across the street and decided to grab this for later. My sandwich preserved well - tho I'm sure the bread would've been crispier if I'd eaten it right away. Very happy with the sandwich. Husband got the Stanley and the garlic aioli tots - so I'll update once he's had his as well. Friendly service, clean inside (on the smaller side but space for 8-10 or so). Very excited for this place in my 'hood and special gratitude to them for naming the sandwiches after our streets!
google avatar

Fabianne M.

Yelp
The Orange Grove (Fried Chicken sandwich) is frickin amazing!!!! One of the best friend chicken sandwiches I've ever had - they fried it fresh upon our order. We also got tater tots which were yum. I'm really looking forward to trying more! So great to have another neighborhood spot :)

Santoni K.

Yelp

Yelp
The sandwiches were absolutely delicious! Egg salad was my favorite. Really enjoyed the tater tots and the soft serve ice cream as well.

Yelp
Stumbled upon this place when I was craving a fresh sandwich and so glad I did! The Italian sandwich was delicioooous. Can't wait to go back and try more.

Yelp
Super yummy sandwiches! Brand new spot that we got recommended and had to try it immediately. Had the Stanley and the Pickford Panini, both were excellent. Pickford has a good kick to it so be prepared! they are both on delicious bread and have excellent flavor profile plus I got there Arnold Palmer and it was so refreshing. Staff was super friendly and I love that they use sustainable Togo containers as well and glass jars for the drinks. Highly recommend! Also don't sleep on the chocolate chip cookies, especially when they are warm (chefs kiss).
google avatar

Jonathan K.

Yelp
Wow. This is one heck of a tuna sandwich! Really fresh and tasty ingredients. I am happy this place is here!

Becky G.

Yelp
So good! Noticed this new sandwich shop the other day and stopped in today. Got the breakfast burrito and Stanley turkey. Great flavors and ingredients, service was SO sweet. They gave us a free glass of house made lemonade to try and were very helpful. Only note is the sandwich was a little messy, which might be hard for a picnic, etc. but overall great spot will come back :)

Yelp
I ordered two sandwiches from this place and they were so saturated with spread that the bread was wet and the entire sandwich was mushy. I had to throw both of my sandwiches away they were so gross.

Moe ..

Yelp
Yelpers, I present to you a chicken sandwich (almost slider size) and a handful of plain salted chips for $21. Wouldn't mind, but it was no better than Dave's fried chicken but twice the price. Feel bad that business rates are so prohibitive for businesses these days as surely this pricing is not sustainable.

David B.

Yelp
Insanely overpriced and gross food. Almost threw up. Much better choices in the neighborhood.

Dookie W.

Yelp
This place is super yummy. Took a new friend here. Gorgeous ingredients. We shared a turkey sandwich, ordered their delicious strawberry-ade and walked away with a cone each. I love sandwiches and this place is tops on my list.

Maggie S.

Yelp
I recently ordered from R&T for the 1st time and was BLOWN AWAY by this place and I almost exclusively eat take-out salads and sandwiches so that's saying A LOT. First off, the food is so fresh, hearty, & super delicious. They made the best vegan salad I've ever had and the tuna salad sandwich was amazing. Secondly, the service is incredible. They made a small mistake with my order and after contacting them, the owner, Lisa, went above and beyond to remedy the situation. When I went back to the restaurant, Lisa was in the kitchen herself and her dedication to culinary and service excellence and passion for her restaurant is so apparent. Even-though it's not a Michelin star restaurant, they treat it as such in terms of the attention and love they put into their food and satisfaction of their patrons. Needless to say, I am a lifelong customer now!

Sam K.

Yelp
A great addition to the Picfair neighborhood. The sandwiches are delicious (albeit a bit pricey) and the service is super friendly. Looking forward to trying their brunch options.

maggie s.

Yelp
Lovely new little sandwich place where Olsen's used to be. I ordered the Curson Italian and it was yummy. It's a pricey sandwich, but honestly, the ingredients were so fresh (creamy burrata and crisp arugula with Italian meats), and the baguette was crusty and fresh, just the right amount of salt. It is definitely a sharable sandwich. In fact, they have a Hollywood Bowl menu that features 2 sandwiches with sides and dessert - that would definitely be enough for 4 people. I plan to try that now that it's Hollywood Bowl season. Welcome to the neighborhood. I hope you're a big hit, you deserve to be.

Rosanne A.

Yelp
Came back today for my second visit. I love to support neighborhood businesses and there's a couple of great restaurants around this area now. I had the turkey sandwich with the sugar bacon and it was very good! Except I expected the turkey to be homemade roasted turkey because that's what the description said. It was lunchmeat not fresh roasted turkey. I ordered the side salad, which the base was Romaine , not my favorite. A spring mix would've been so much nicer. Also the dressing for the salad was a little off. It didn't have a robust flavor that I would expect in a homemade dressing. My last disappointment was the homemade lemonade. NO lemon flavor, watery. A nice tart and sweet full flavor would have been appreciated. It was watery and lacked flavor. I will try a few more times, but it would be nice if they could upgrade their side salad and dressing and improve on their lemonade recipe. Yes, the prices are high, but I don't mind paying that price if I'm getting quality food. Today's lunch was a bit disappointing.

So B.

Yelp
Delicious food! I had a great open faced tuna sandwich and a refreshing lemonade. Can't wait to return.

Deana F.

Yelp
Love this new neighborhood sandwich shop. The bread is fresh and delicious. We had the tuna and the turkey and the house made lemonade. Both were really yummy and filling. You could definitely split one sandwich for two people. The sandwiches are pricy but it's high quality ingredients (all organic and fresh) and feels great to support a small local business. Excited to go back and try the soft serve!
