Yelp
Rosemary's is an excellent spot for whatever type of Italian-related excursion you want to have: indoor dining, outdoor dining, happy hour at a wine bar, light grocery shopping, enjoying a to-go coffee or gelato, etc. It's almost like a very pared-down version of Eataly, but less expensive and more neighborhood-y.
We ate here last night and it was a delight from appetizer to dessert.
Golden beets: a perfect starter if you're looking for a light, garden-fresh option that has both sweetness and umami. The shallot vinaigrette, whipped goat cheese, and hazelnuts add texture and a savory astringency.
Cacio e pepe pizza: The classic pepper/sharp cheese combo on top of a wood fired crust. So good!
Chicken Milanese: Not my order, but I had a bite. Good chicken, prepared like a schnitzel. Served with arugula and mustard aioli.
Olive oil cake: such a tasty little dessert: a lemony, spongy, succulent cake paired with a bold blueberry compote.
Rosemary's spritz: I love a spritz made with Cappelletti, which gives earthy, birchy, herbal notes with a hint of baking spice. This could've been stirred a bit better, though, as eventually the aperitivo was gone and I was left with a combo of sparkling wine and club soda.
We sat outside and the ambience was charming, although the neighborhood in general doesn't have a lot of in-person dining or nightlife, which detracts from a vibe a little bit. No problems with the service; I got the sense that our server wasn't ready to offer a lot of insight about the menu, but that was ok.
