"Grape + Bean has a flagship location in Old Town Alexandria and a satellite location at 2 E. Walnut Street, Alexandria, Va. The flagship location has been partly transformed into Brut, while the satellite location remains unaffected by the changes." - Warren Rojas

Super friendly folks running this little Cafe in town. We had a blast visiting. The white latte was a bit too sweet for my friend. But overall it was a good experience.

$12 for a cold hot chocolate, a pastry that was warmed in the microwave and a very rude woman at the counter. No other customers, no excuse.

Edit: the third picture was taken after the issue was 'addressed' in response below. The power strip is still sitting in a puddle. There is an unsecured power strip that is a shock hazard on the patio. It is often sitting near/in the puddle of condensation from the AC unit. Tried calling multiple times and tried to stop by to give them a heads up, but they are closed despite it being their normal business hours.

We love this spot and so does our pup. It’s a really nice place to sit outside and enjoy a drink or a snack, and we really love the ginger cookies they usually have for dogs. The French toast and pancakes were great additions to the menu.

In the past I used to enjoy going to Grape & Bean. Pleasant service, decent food, pretty patio, and overall a nice experience. It was never an OMG it's the best but it was always a good experience. Today, we sat outside. Glum looking day and the decor matched. Dirty water bowl for dogs, dying flowers, dirty tables. The server brought my iced Chai tea under her armpit while also bringing waters out. Forgot serving utensils with our food. She was quite friendly though. Personally i think she was trained poorly. However, I'm not sure if the person in this picture owns the place or works there, pretty confident it was not a customer because he came from inside and never ordered anything, just stayed on the phone. I cannot unsee this and my only thought was Ew, someone is going to eat at this table after him putting his leg up on it. Also, get a pedicure, just don't do it at a dining table.

All around really bad. I've been here several times in the past. It seems like whoever runs this place just gave up on trying. It used to be good with friendly service. The food is horrible now and the service is just as bad. Service was never efficient or knowledgable but at least it used to be friendly. See the other one and two star reviews.

Had a few beers on the patio with a group. Very chill neighborhood vibes. Good spot for people to come and go in a group setting. Grab a drink from the fridge, pay, and take it to your table. Did not try the food. Would come back.

Yelp
The sign outside still says Grape and Bean, but as of June 2024 they've transitions to Rosemont Cellar. That said, it doesn't seem a lot has changed, and that's a good thing because this location has been doing things great for a while now. I came for breakfast and got a breakfast sandwich and coffee. The barista seemed to know his customers well since he was joking with a few of them. So 'local hangout vibe' - check. My meal was good, even if he forgot to ask if I was staying or this was to-go. So initially he gave me everything to-go but gave me a real plate when I asked for one. I perused the wines selection and discovered there's not as much Virginia wine as their used to be. Hopefully that might just be because the current inventory was low. I'll have to come back to see if they've changed their options. Overall, it a nice visit and worth a repeat, especially for lunch and/or a glass of wine.
