5 Great Eco-Friendly Hotels in Orlando, Florida - AFAR

"Sited on 255 acres alongside the tree-lined Shingle Creek, this Spanish revival–style resort of about 1,500 rooms combines traditional interiors and large windows with a multi-pronged sustainability program that earned a three-palms Green Lodging rating. The property has eliminated plastic straws and cut other single-use plastics, uses recycled paper for printed materials, and runs automated irrigation and HVAC controls monitored monthly. In 2022 it opened a 9,500-square-foot on-site farm supplying seasonal vegetables, herbs, and fruits to two restaurants (one serving season- and farm-driven dishes), and it operates solar-powered guest shuttles alongside hotel-to-theme-park transport; a guest “green suggestions” box invites further input." - Elissa Garay

This was our first stay at Shingle Creek and we loved it. We’ve been to Orlando a lot and decided we wanted to be away from the theme park bubble for some peace and quiet and this was perfect for that. There were a few events going on while we stayed but that never really effected our stay except for taking a while to get an elevator over thanksgiving weekend with the cheerleader competition staying there. Our room was huge and we had a beautiful view of the golf course and epic universe! The pool was so quiet everytime we went and while we only had a handful of hot days we absolutely loved spending time by the pool. The hotel itself is beautiful and we had heard the odd comment about it being ‘dated’ before we went and I’d just like to say those comments are wrong. The decor is beautiful and cosy and it’s just got a great atmosphere. Everything was clean and tidy and practical. For us the only downside was food, we found the breakfast buffet very expensive so tried to eat out and the location isn’t great for that. There’s a few options a walkable distance at the end of the driveway but with crossing the road it is about a 20-25 minute walk each way, so without having a car we found ourselves using DoorDash a lot, especially after a long day out. The marketplace shop does have cheaper options but the menu is quite small. But that issue is quite specific to us as we are quite simple eaters with a smaller appetite so we don’t want to spend $37 each everyday on a breakfast buffet. |Overall we would absolutely stay again but I think we would get a car next time to make our lives a bit easier to nip out and get dinner or breakfast.

Absolutely exceeded our expectations! The service was wonderful at every turn. We really enjoyed being able to get dumped off from the airport and never have to leave. The coffee spot was perfect for morning coffees, the restaurants had some of the best dishes we’ve ever tried, and the pool paired with the pool service was the best treat. My husband got a massage while there and he rated it very high and he’s a “tough crowd” when it comes to massages. I think he said her name was Phelba! So many amenities. Even the arcade was better than anticipated for a hotel arcade. Laundry was icing on top so we could come home with all clean clothes. Truly one of the best vacations we’ve ever had in Florida!! The “quiet” pool and “family” pool is also so awesome to not have to be splashed or share a pool with the rascals (whom we adore- just not for relaxation) overall just the best of the best. Solomon and Ron took such good care of us for breakfast every morning. They really stick out with making the experience even better. Overall 2 wonderful men who brightened our days by starting with smiles every morning! See you next year!!!

We enjoyed our stay the weekend after Christmas. Destiny at the front desk was so kind! Destiny didn’t make me feel rushed, was so friendly and great at her job. She explained exactly which elevators to use to get to our room (I get lost easily in large hotels) and was smiling and patient through all my navigational questions. The room was in excellent condition, no musty smell in the hallways, and you can tell the housekeeping team works hard to maintain the rooms meticulously. If you want consistent cleanliness and friendly staff in Orlando, this is the perfect place!

Google
There is a lot I like about this Resort as a getaway from the crowds if Orlando. Golf, hang out by the pool and just relax. The Rosen chain of hotels is well run and every detail is focused on the customer. PLUS its not crazy expensive. Sure, the Ritz is nice across the street, but $900 to $1,200 a night I’ll pass. Special Shot out to Ryan at the front desk. As a businessman he’s the type of Team Member you wish you had 100 of them because his customer service skill set is hard to come by today. Definitely on the fst track to managing his own property. Another quality representative is Wahiba. This lady is an asset to the Rosen Team. Super smart and well spoken. I’ll be back!

Google
OMGOODNESS, what a fantastic stay we had at this resort. First time at this resort and it was BEAUTIFUL. We felt like we were stepping into a storybook from the grand layout, beautiful Christmas tree in lobby, lighted palms along the drive up, 2 large pools and amazing staff. Everyone was eager to accommodate our stay and grant any requests. We celebrated our Anniversary on this stay and will be going back soon. You won't be disappointed ❤️

Google
Beautiful hotel. Stayed during Christmas time and they had all sorts of Christmas trees decorated in the lobby. Starbucks in the hotel. Great big pool. On a golf course. Hotel has an arcade, which was great for my kids

In my experience, Rosen Shingle Creek did not offer good value for the total cost of the stay. The room itself was a standard size and clean, but once everything added up, the overall experience didn’t feel worth the price. Breakfast was $30 per person, parking wasn’t included, and there were no courtesy shuttles. Since it isn’t a Disney hotel, I also had to pay Disney parking separately. For a family of four, breakfast alone would be $120 per day, which is a lot on top of the nightly rate. Even basic conveniences added unexpected costs. Laundry was $6 to wash and dry, and you need to download an app just to use the machines. When I asked for change, only $2 was offered, which wasn’t helpful. Arriving to the room with no complimentary water, no small snacks, and no drinks was disappointing as well. Even on-site complimentary coffee wasn’t available, which I found surprising for a hotel in this price range. Service and communication also felt inconsistent. Staff were slow to respond to simple requests, and it took several attempts just to get transferred to an on-site restaurant. The hotel doesn’t sell Disney tickets or help with planning, making things less convenient for a Disney-focused trip. Overall, for a single-night stay, especially if you don’t plan to use parking or eat on-site, it might be fine. But for a longer stay with a family, my experience was that it didn’t offer good value, and I would choose another hotel next time.

Beautiful resort hotel to reset and refresh. Numerous restaurants with various cuisine. Upscale Italian Cala Bella is my favorite. Food and service were impeccable. On-site Spa and Fitness Center are adequate and fully staffed.

Yelp
This is a really big and nice hotel. So many restaurants, bars, shopping and coffee shops. The lobby area is big. There is a fireplaces and lots of chairs around that are comfortable. You can work or sit and talk. There are so many banquet rooms for a convention. The property has a golf course. Everyone here is very nice and helpful from the moment you drive to the gate. The rooms are nice. We had a double queen room. It's spacious. The beds are comfortable. Plenty of room in the bathroom/dressing area. Every employee ask if you need help with anything. Staff is fantastic.

Yelp
I am here for a conference and this resort has exceeded my expectations. First, beautiful property, clean, peaceful, excellent gym & spa, nature trail for a morning walk was lovely. What took me over the top was food! Yes, the food at this conference was delicious- chicken the first day was not dry, perfectly cooked with delicious spices and vegetables. They grown their own vegetables on the property. The fish was also perfectly cooked. Next day we had a mexican Spanish lunch the shredded beef was outstanding- tender and loved the flavors. Everyone at this conference has been raving about the food. Probably the first time I have ever attended a conference in 30 yrs that has great food. The staff has been outstanding, kind, helpful, going out of their way to ensure you enjoy your experience on the property. I have to say to the entire team who serves breakfast on the ground level- thank you & keep on being amazing.

Yelp
Everything went well at Rosen Shingle Creek. This hotel is spectacular and the service is phenomenal. The hotel itself is spacious and beautiful. There are several restaurants in there, Headwaters is bomb. We were there during hurricane Milton with our daughter that works in the hotel, and we could not have been in a better place. Our three grandkids didn't even know what was happening outside. I have to say thank you to Mr Rosen for being so hospitable during that time. They even created a special menu for us and we were able to purchase our meals, for basically Pennie's. Because there were so many families with dogs, an area was created for all of the fur kiddos where they were able to release themselves in a nice grassy little area. It was pretty cool. We were treated, almost like royalty, and we were in a safe place. Having experienced the fantastic service and treatment from all employees I came in contact with in the hotel, makes me want to come back, but next time, just for pleasure. Thank you Rosen Hotel Shingle Creek

Yelp
Very clean place, everyone is very professional and helpful, and the grounds are very very nice The route to conference is an easy breezy straight shot from the lobby, not a drawn out long walk through endless corridors, great layout

Yelp
Stayed at Rosen Shingle Creek during a conference, and it was a great experience overall! The hotel is huge--haven't been there since I was little, so I was impressed by how much it has to offer. The room was very nice, and I loved that they cleaned it every day, which made my stay even more comfortable. There are many tasty restaurants on-site, so you won't have to go far for a good meal. Just be prepared for a LOT of walking, especially if you're attending a conference--it's a big place! The service was excellent, and the ambiance added to the overall experience. Definitely a great place to stay if you're in the area or attending an event.

Yelp
I stayed here for a work convention. The hotel was nice. I got a short amount of time to enjoy the pool and the outdoor grounds during Company dinners. The hotel is huge. A few of the escalators were not working when I was there. The carpeting looked a little dated. Overall the service was good and the hotel was nice. The bed was comfortable. Everything was clean. I found the food to be good. I would stay here again.

Yelp
Came here during a conference and want to come back for sure! Not only is it in close proximity to the theme parks, the staff are incredibly detail oriented and friendly. The room service pizza was huge for $34 and the facilities are clean and huge. Plus they have a finch family living within the hotel, which is super cute!

Yelp
Shingle Creek is a lovely and spacious resort. My wife and I came here today to take a look at some of their ballroom space for a potential future event. Beautiful place, but we're still on the fence as to whether we'll hold our event here or not.

Yelp
Wow! exceeded expectations for sure on my week-long stay WIFI - I would say it's a bit odd that the conference floor and hotel have different wifi. This caused some confusion when transitioning from the hotel to the conference floor. SPA - They have something called the purple pass where you can pay $40 for your whole stay to access the men's or women's side of the SPA which includes a whirlpool hot tub, wet and dry sauna and rainfall showers. This made my stay so much better because I was able to get some quiet time to myself outside of the conference I was attending. It's $20/day otherwise. This also includes the gym. They have another gym only pass available as well. You pay for this in the SPA itself. ROOM and Grounds - I don't think I ended up walking the entire grounds since it is such a big hotel. This place is huge so I would recomend asking for a room close to the elevator or on the 3rd floor or you will spend a lot of time walking to your room. I like that they have a lobby area for busses to take you to Universal and they even have a counter that helps with Universal tickets. They have a fishing area or an area where you can keep a look out for alligators. I heard you could see a bunch of them on the golf course as well. I went to the outdoor pools almost nightly. They had a few hot tubs and outside bar. It was fantastic. 18 Monroe street MARKET- I think I spent the most time in this market on the lower level because they had delicious salads, drinks and ice cream so it was a quick stop that you could easily charge to the room. LAUNDRY - I washed a few loads on the Lower Level. Be sure to have quarters to use for the machines. $3.75 for wash and $1.75 for dry. They have soap in the Market.

Yelp
What a beautiful resort! I was in town from Wed thru Sat for a conference/workshop. There are two pools and the cat tails bar where you can order food and drinks with plenty of outdoor seating. I had the opportunity to dine at the Mexican restaurant twice during my stay , the marketplace, the Land steakhouse, room service for early morning breakfast and hung out at bar for happy hour. My room overlooked the golf course and lake. Customer service at the front desk and any time I called room service were such a delight and accommodating. If I ever visit Orlando again , I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Yelp
Rosen Shingle Creek seems a bit outdated compared to many of the other hotels we have stayed at in Orlando. But don't get me wrong, it's still a beautiful hotel because it's a Rosen hotel. It's a massive hotel that is pretty spread out and beautifully decorated during the holidays. We stayed here for my husband's holiday party weekend. They hosted a few work meetings, and did a fabulous job on the holiday party! We had a wonderful time and the food was great. The weather was gorgeous and we had moved around to several spaces throughout the night for the party. I feel like you can really get lost in this hotel because it's so big! The staff couldn't be more friendly and accommodating. They did a great job with our room and the service was wonderful. The hotel is located close to SeaWorld Orlando by 528 and Universal Blvd. Great location that's close to everything.

Yelp
A wonderful experience at my recent stay at Rosen Shingle. Approaching the resort, we were pleased to see that it was security guarded and had a very enchanting entrance to the resort itself. Self parking is kinda far from the hotel itself but we were able to park for 15 minutes at registration to get our keys and unload our bags with the bellhop. They also have a golf cart shuttle that runs back and forth from the self parking lot. That was helpful during our visit and fun for my child! They take you directly to your car too. A bit pricy on the self parking at $28/night plus tax but the overall stay itself came out to be aggressively priced with their competitors. The stay itself was relaxing. We didn't get to enjoy all the amenities as we were mostly out doing stuff but it was neat that they had a 24 hour convenience store downstairs and a bar. I saw a boba bar which I would have loved to have tried but I wasn't there during their opening hours which was something like 11am-6pm. We had a beautiful view from our room overlooking the 2 pools. Their golf area also looks very well kept and maintained. We tried the breakfast buffet on a Saturday morning and was not impressed. With 2 adults and 1 kid, our total came out to be around $100. The server just brought over coffee and water without asking if we wanted it which is fine but then asked us if we would also like juice. He did not indicate to us that juice was not included in the price. We were surprised when the bill came. But the food itself was mediocre. A lot of variety and a fresh omelet / eggs benedict station which is nice but not worth the hefty price tag. We loved the feel of being on vacation at this resort and will consider staying here again.

Yelp
Awesome resort. I 100 percent recommend checking/staying with this resort when in Orlando. When you drive into their resort you can see their massive golf course. Upon entering, there was a bunch of birds in a cage that overlooks the pools. There were 3 large pools that are open until 11pm. It was nice that they had hot pools as well. The customer service here was great (highly recommend). The place has a marketplace downstairs, arcade, a couple of restaurants, spa (where you can get a day pass to check out their whirlpool/sauna), and gym. Outside there is a tennis court as well. The only downside is you have to pay for parking if you drive on premise.

Yelp
Had an overnight stay here, our room was newly renovated, staff was super nice, lobby and outdoor area was super cute decorated for the holidays and the concierge lounge was nice and welcoming, I am still savoring the most delicious feta cheese I have ever tasted. Had a great experience at their coffee shop, they sell a large Starbucks menu so I got my fix early in the morning. Their bed and pillows are some of the most comfortable I have experienced (this is saying a lot as someone who has traveled extensively for work) I have stayed at many high end properties ritz, four seasons, Marriott's and somehow the Rosen has the yummiest pillows and comfiest beds I have experienced. Job well done!

Yelp
Nice property. It's a bit older than some resorts but in great shape. Staff is friendly and a great location for a company event. Pool area is nice. Golf on property as well

Yelp
Had a staycation with a couple friends for their birthdays. The rooms were okay, pretty basic, we expected more for the price and lobby/pool/golf course views. One of the restaurants we ate at for dinner inside the hotel was 6/10. Slow service and food was mediocre. The breakfast/brunch buffet the next morning however, was delicious and so much variety! That was definitely worth purchasing. The hotel itself is beautiful and so many photo ops. Two large pools and a nice hot tub.

Yelp
This place was great! My employer had their Sales Kick Off ( SKO) here! 1k + people - lots of breakout rooms, food/meals and activities. Overall, I was truly impressed with how yummy and unique the food was, considering how many people were being served. The bars were overflowing every night! My bed was comfy. Services were nice. Employees were courteous and valet was impressively quick upon check out. I'd come back here again on my own dime and I'm a local.

Yelp
I loved my stay at this resort. The staff was friendly. The food options were great. The pools were fun. They have a nature walk where we got to see a tiny orange hummingbird. Their catering food wasn't particularly great. The restaurants had open reservations. Everything about our stay here was great. My wife enjoyed the spa. It was a great weekend.
google avatar

Debbie F.

Yelp
This was my first time attending an event at Rosen Shingle Creek, and I was thoroughly impressed by the staff's efficiency and professionalism. They were able to quickly and efficiently turn over rooms and set up for meals, whether it was a buffet-style or sit-down dinner. The coordination of the event was impeccable, even with other events happening simultaneously in different spaces. They never missed a beat, and I would highly recommend them as an event space for anyone in the Orlando area. The food was my top reason to return as it was over a 5 star rating.

Yelp
Large resort with golf course in Orlando. 1500 rooms on property. Decor is charming Spanish style and sits on acres of greenery. 3 pools and multiple food options. I was here for a convention and the staff was very friendly throughout my stay. The resort is roughly 30mins from Disney world and the Orlando airport.

KC D.

Yelp
Recently spent a 3 day weekend retreat here to relax after the holidays. I've been here many times at conventions for both our company hosting and others so I am familiar with this establishment. Great location, very nice interior. Friendly staff. Great food, when available. Things to fix: Asked for a quiet room up high. NO luggage carts allowed anywhere by guests. $$ to send and retrieve luggage. Unsure why. Got a NOISY floor (9th) by the elevator. Lots of drunks at 11pm to 4am having parties in the hallways, kids screaming etc. Not sure if 9th is the party floor or if All floors are like this but FYI, little to no sleep. Only one place to go for breakfast in the morning for buffet, slow service. Gym was nice but +$10 per person per day. Many machines out of service or broken. Pools were nice. LOTS of very young kids in hot tubs (BAD) all day. For some reason, Mexican restaurant closed on Saturday.... Bar across from it had great food as well as the Italian restaurant. Good prices. For some reason, catering had a event party that took over the lounge bar at the pool all day and no one could get to it to order food, use seats/tables / bar area or order drinks. The event was right AT the bar! Who does that? They should have been at the plaza area away from the bar with their own bar. Even the signs RESERVED for guests were ignored with event stuff at every table and all seats taken. BAD Event staff setup. Ruined it for all guests. Some NSure company party gone awry. Steak house looked nice but prices were $$$$$$$ and we walked away. It was empty the entire weekend. Wonder why. Excellent Italian restaurant, pretty much empty and had to wait 15 minutes after seating to get a menu.... Had to ask another waiter for one. Unsure where our waitress was.... Food was great though. Asked for a quiet table and then the hostess sat three out of control young children right next to our table that ruined the evening with their crying and screaming. Guess hostess didn't understand "a quiet table" request. Spa prices were $$$$$ so we skipped the spa. Holiday decorations were very nice.

Yelp
1st time in Florida, and we didn't rent a car. Sadly, Rosen Shingle Creek does not have an airport shuttle. We decided to take the public bus, so if you do that, it is about a 3 mile walk to get to the resort. Once you get to the property their is a booth with employee and gate. Another half mile to the resort from the gate. Upon arrival at the entrance of the hotel, we were greeted by the employee and informed us where to go to register. Registration was smooth. Our room was typical room and view we had was beautiful. Later, we asked an employee about getting a microwave in the room & told their isnt microwave for the room but to go to the market on the LL floor and we are able to warm up food. Last day at the hotel, and we did that and told NO. So we wasted food and had to purchase food. Some of the employees working here appear to be unhappy, like they dont want to be working/going through the motions. Rosen Shingle Creek is a huge, beautiful clean place to stay with multiple pool areas, gym, have plenty of conference rooms (freezing cold) & multiple restaurants. Parking is expensive per day unless you're attending a function $17-20 a day. Be warned that if you dont pay for parking or have a pass, you will be cited $60. Their are multiple restaurants a little pricey, some more than others, and they dont accomdate dietary restrictions. Some dont not have a childrens menu. No airport shuttle. No shuttle to Disney Springs. However, their is a shuttle to Universal Studios BUT 3 scheduled times in AM hrs, and you must register at the counter the day prior. Return trip also 3 scheduled times with the 1st time at 530 pm pick-up. Or call taxi/Uber. Recommend staying here. It is a clean, peaceful, quiet, and beautiful resort.

Yelp
Came here for a business trip. Showed up real late but was excited to get there and go to sleep. First greet was valet and they were very kind. We asked for a cart to bring our bags upstairs. They said we could use one but they have to deliver it to us. We're not aloud to bring it ourselves. We accepted it , loaded the cart and went and checked in. The check in counter was very friendly and helpful as well. When we got to the room first thing I noticed was our door hinges were really dusty , then when entered the tv was too but everything else appeared clean and organized. When we got to the room we were told to call the bell stand to get our bags brought up , so we did as requested. After 5 minutes of the phone ringing I was tired of it, just wanted to wash up and go to bed so my wife and I went downstairs to get our bags. When we get there, they guys apologized and told us theirs no bellman working at this time. That kinda pissed me off that the same team that told us we have to let them deliver said no one is working. So we carried all our stuff up anyway. Other then that, the beds were comfortable. We had a nice night time view where we could see Disney's firework show. The resort has many amenities and a nice trail to walk on. First impression from luggage and dust i would have gave it a 1 star but the next two days customer service from everyone made it a 3. Everyone from security guard, front desk, concierge, parking attendant and house keeping was smiley and kind. I may consider giving them another chance when we come back to Orlando in February.

Yelp
I attended Rosen Shingle Creek for a business conference and was overall impressed with the property. While I was here for the expo and did not have a room, I can only attest to the conference and the grounds. I found my attendance at this expo to be an overall positive experience. Parking can be expensive, but that is nothing unique to the International Drive area and its hotels. Rosen Shingle Creek is a good destination to attend a conference. The staff was friendly and professional and the place had a good overall vibe. I will give it five stars for the conference area.

Yelp
There are much nicer places to stay with much better customer service. Property was nice and the Mexican restaurant food was excellent. Room service was fast and the food was decent although they asked how many guests (2) and brought cutlery and a single glass of water. The deli restaurant was average and overpriced. Housekeeping service was poor. One day they came at 2 pm and the next day they didn't come at all when the Do Not Disturb sign was removed in the morning while they were on the floor. When we did have service, we had to call for toiletries and a spare roll of toilet paper. This evening fire alarm sounded saying there was an emergency and everyone should leave their room and take the stairs outside. It was very cold and people stood outside for over 15 minutes waiting to hear fire department sirens. There wasn't a hotel staff person to be found outside. Eventually the guests filed back in when the alarm stopped. The fire department never came. There were 5 staff people at the front desk. When I asked what happened, I was told either someone pulled an alarm or walked through an emergency door. How about you notify your guests standing outside in the cold courtyard?? Unacceptable for the management team. Self- parking is also inconvenient and you pay for daily parking. You have to circle the entire perimeter of the lot to get in. A shuttle to the front door was available one night but that speaks to the inconvenient distance to the lot. Overall a very unimpressive stay. I definitely would not stay here again.

Yelp
I feel very unsafe here. I had a MAN walk into my room!!!! Said he was doing a "wellness check" he just let himself into the room. I ignored the knock the first time because I was laying in bed. He knocked a second time and I responded with "no thanks, don't disturb" 3rd knock he walks right in! When asked about it he said they do it when rooms have the sign on the door for multiple days. This was into the second day.... 4 night stay and they did a wellness check twice....after the first one, they still came the next day. Wellness check two days in a row. This man had access to my room. This is not ok. My entire stay I felt like someone was going to walk in on me showering at any given moment. I was very nervous to sleep or even be slightly undressed in my room. I have never had this happen at a hotel. I wish I would have checked out after this happened because the rest of my stay I was uncomfortable. I stayed because I was working a conference and didn't have much time to move hotels. Also didn't rent a car so it made it difficult to leave the hotel everyday. I have never stayed at a hotel where the DO NOT disturb sign will get you disturbed or felt this unsafe at a resort. They also charge to use the fitness center. What a racket.

Yelp
We only stayed for 1 night but would love to stay for multiple nights in the future. (Family of 3) We got a great deal considering all the amenities this place has. We checked in right at 4pm and had a great time exploring the pools, went to dinner within the resort, trip to the ice cream shop within the market. We were on the 7th floor, wing 5. The room was clean and comfy. The beds were like sleeping on a comfy cloud! Very happy here and would stay here again just to chill at the resort!

Yelp
The hotel property is large and has tons of meeting space. It's set against a golf course. The property itself is beautiful. The check in process took much longer than expected. Service was fine but not extraordinary. The rooms are showing their age and could use some updating. For certain rooms it takes a very long walk down the hall to get to your room. The hotel restaurants were average. I called down to valet for my car and ended up waiting at my car as valet were standing about in front. When I did have a car brought up via the valet desk, it takes forever to get your car. The hotel resort experience was fine but just average- nothing exceptional. Rooms are aged, service is average, and amenities are fine. It's just "blah."

Yelp
Osceola Room Mothers Day Brunch Staff: extremely attentive & engaging Ambiance: high end, clean & neat Food: Buffet Service, Prime Rib, Asian, Omelette Stations, so much fresh delicious food, something delicious for everyone and no shortcuts!!! Concerns: 26% gratuity included. Buffet? Melty icecream at dessert bar, get chillers. We will return. Its a great value and we love it. I think that high tip was great during Covid, but Covid is gone. As a restaurant, you can't rely on the customer to pay your extra wages to that degree.

Yelp
Very impressed will be back! First Just some tips: We got a great price on this location through Expedia using AfterPay which gave an additional discount to $86 a night! It was totally worth it. Also We found parking close by (at your own risk) but the hotels in a less trafficked area so we parked close by and took a Lyft $5 to save on parking per night. Check in: Checkin was smooth. They provide a space close by for temporary parking while you take your items to your room. The person at front desk was so nice and courteous. Love the free flavored water that changed flavors each day. My son and I enjoyed observing the birds near the entrance. Food/Drink: to have the market place location downstairs near the pool is so nice! I thought the pricing for food in the market was average and honestly lower in price for many items. $6 for a pizza slice and $4 for a huge scoop of ice cream isn't bad and both were delicious! Some restaurants remained closed the weekend we were there. But the Burger and Cocktails lounge location were open. It's helpful that the lower level restaurant is 24hrs! Amenities: We loved the pool area! There are 3 + a kiddie pool. Hot tub was fine and a nice addition. In the main pool there are server to take any food / drink orders but you can also just walk straight up to the bar tenders or stop into the market (fully clothed no bathing suit attire) . It rained majority of the evenings we were there but if not we would've been in the pool at night as it's open until 12am. Downside- Arcade doors are open and games are on but the card machine to play said out of service. Hopefully they fix it and my key card wouldn't work to open the gym but I could've inquired more with the front desk for access, but it also looks very dark as if no one else was in there or it may have been closed as well. They have a spot on site where I saw people at the front desk, but we did not attend. Will look into the services next visit. The prices didn't seem overly expensive for that area and location. Room: The location of the room and the view was awesome so we could see if it was raining or not to go into the pool lighting for the room. Also if the AC is not on it, it gets humid very quickly. The comforter could be more cozy/soft, but the sheets were clean. I like that they give you bath towel type robes to use. Wish they had microwaves!! Staff: every single one of the staff members was very kind and courteous. Starting with the gentleman and valet, who told me where to temporarily park while I checked in, the front desk agent, who asked if I would like a lower or higher floor, and most importantly I'm so appreciative of the cleaning staff that were so kind ! Can't wait to return I have been thinking about coming back next month for another staycation.

Yelp
We have stayed here twice for conferences and it's been a great experience both times. The location is great and you can easily get to downtown Orlando as well as Disney properties from here. The resort is quite large with a large exhibition space as well as multiple restaurants and a coffee shop (that sells Starbucks products). The rooms have been comfortable and spacious and the staff have done a great job of keeping everything clean. We ordered in-room breakfast a few times and the food was delicious and plentiful and we would definitely order breakfast that way again. My favorite part about the hotel is that they have a family of Zebra Finches in the main lobby and they are just some of the cutest little birds I've ever seen. It's a nice touch to be able to see them everyday. It's a great hotel overall!

Yelp
My coworker suggested this hotel and when I get here I realized that I've stayed here in the past. They have everything and anything you may need or want. 4 pools, numerous restaurants and bars, a state of art fitness Center, Spa and a 18 hole Golf Course. The room is very comfortable and I enjoyed my stay here.

Yelp
The pools are nice as well as the toiletries. I opted out of the daily room service, but apparently it is available. Some people love that. I didn't care for the furnishings and the elevators smelled like wet dogs. I didn't bring home bedbugs or any other issues. All in all it was a decent experience. Restaurants are pricey, but at least they are available on site. I got a lot of steps in between the convention center and my room.

Yelp
I come here on business 4 times a year and they are still my favorite hotel to stay. From parking my vehicle in front of entrance to my room the accommodations are premium. I recommend this hotel to everyone!!! A++

Yelp
I attended a banquet here in their Panzacola meeting event space for a charity that benefited Lovely Loaves. The space was large and easily accommodated the amount of guests who attended. The food was from the Rosen as well. I found the chicken to be a tad bit dry for my tastes. Everything else was delicious. I would definitely like to return for a staycation. This is a ginormous hotel that I would love to explore.

Yelp
SERVICE & TRANSITIONS -- The decor was amazing: opulent, ornate, and regal. Just MASSIVE & equally lively. Check-in speed was also phenomenal. Cleaning standards in the public spaces are immaculate, from the laundry facility to the spacious elevators. Speaking of laundry: it's overpriced & machines only take cash; no ATM onsite. $3.25 washer, $1.75 dryer, $0.75 soap, $0.75 dryer sheets. This was odd since Tap payment systems are setup & used for checkin. As someone from California, the parking options were awful pricey too. MVP employees: Lea ROOM -- https://youtu.be/R6EvOmQVbbQ A generously sized queen guest room with spectacular views & high cleaning standards! I highly recommend the pool-side view if you're on the fence. Lighting could be A LOT better; not a big deal if the room has a view for natural light. Other highlights: ample storage options, tabletop space, & comfy seating. It's hard to dismiss how dated the aesthetic is due to the bland browns, oversized light fixtures, lack of ergonomics, & generic paintings that I 100% confirm growing up with as a kid. BED -- Amazing...: house brand EVERYTHING, from the soft & snuggly pillows to the custom BeautyRest mattresses. Checks all across the board: soft breathable sheets (excellent blend btw)! cozy duvet Thick toppers Lots of pillows. Extra firm mattress. Cons? AC is loud as heck & blows directly on your face if sleeping in a deluxe double room. Still slept well enough. BATH -- A slightly awkward split bath layout. We found the large vanity to be an asset. I also liked the shower design textures. The shower experience itself was just "ok". Water pressure turned out to be mediocre. Pure by gloss toiletries were also underwhelming. The air gets rather hot in bathroom with door closed, so I'm not sure if the exhaust even worked. Robes were meh; functional for the environment albeit dated. Towel size was satisfactory & their upkeep was noteworthy. TV/ENTERTAINMENT -- 55" Samsung FHD TV w/all the bells & whistles though: Chromecast, premium channels, Kid-friendly programming, spicy adult-only options, on-demand movies. Everything. Unfortunately volume levels are weak, which makes for a bad combination with the loud AC. The remote was also painfully slow & archaic. Outside the room it lives up to its name. There no shortage of activities, including tennis, basketball, arcades, golf, & swimming to name a few! WI-FI & CELL RECEPTION -- Average free offering. The QoS was well-thought though, with multiple tiers of service. I just wish it was encrypted... Cell service (Verizon) is so-so in the building, even on top floors. --Performance-- Video streaming - good Online gaming - Great Video chatting - good --Nerd Stats-- 15-16 Mbps download 15-38 Mbps upload 0% packet loss 13 ms latency 11 ms jitter FOOD & DRINK -- An inconvenience for those with multiple food allergies/dietary restrictions. Not DoorDash friendly nor are In-room dining menus labelled for food allergies & nutrition info. For the rest of the population, it's a wonderful sea of choice due to the PLETHORA of restaurants on premises. It's not easy to navigate the various offerings though w/o calling in. Thankfully there's a Publix across the street There's also a huge convenience store inside the hotel, with enough inventor to rival Target. in-room: microwave mini-fridge (small) coffee tea wet-bar mini-bar NOISE -- Good sound proofing between rooms. Rooms next to the elevator are awful though...Avoid at all~ costs. Riff-raff and/or vacuuming in the halls was also aggravating. LOCATION -- This property felt MUCH safer than the racist Gaylord Palms Hotel-- SO MANY beautiful people of color all throughout. The surrounding lakes & property grounds are worthy of eye-candy. VERDICT Strong in a lot of areas, just dated. Pros outweigh any cons and best of all: none of the tacky, tasteless, disingenuous resort fees!!!! I could see myself staying again for the right price. I'm Excited to explore more room types. Highly recommend. 5/5 @mrstaycation

Yelp
This place!!! I loved it for the pure fact that everything you need is here&you don't have to leave it for any reason other than sightseeing,or if you have kids, to go the parks in Orlando, and theirs even a shuttle for that!! Amazing. We stayed in a double room with my brother&sister in law, plenty of space, my only complaint is the bathroom wasn't bog enough. The restaurants in the lobby, fantastic! WE ate at 2 while we were there. Not to mention the bar by the pool(oh there's like 4 or 5 pools fyi) that also serves food and serves you by the pool! There's even a 24hr little shop in case you need something in the middle of the night. Pure genius, huge hotel, spotless, staff incredibly friendly. I will definitely come back & stay here. Thank you!

Yelp
This is a huge hotel with a convention center attached. Our Suite was amazing. One of the best suites I have ever seen. I travel a lot and see many hotels. This is by far my favorite. The convention area has multiple parts. We were there for a convention. Another convention was attending as well at the same time. Check in was a breeze. Rachel at the front desk was courteous, kind, and always had a smile on her face when I interacted with her (two different times). She was also very informative. All staff have great customer service!

Yelp
I spent a couple of days in the Rosen Shingle Creek Hotel for a conference. I didn't interact much with the staff, but my stay was comfortable and I felt safe. I didn't use the facilities too much, but did get a chance to go for a night swim during my stay. The pool temperature was just right and they were big enough to not feel uncomfortable while other guests were around. All in all, I'd feel comfortable staying here again!

Yelp
Came here for Easter brunch and had an amazing time. Yas was an amazing server and my family appreciated how friendly and attentive she was. The food was fresh and lots of great options. I highly recommend coming here for Easter brunch!

Yelp
Attended the regional conference for my sorority here, and it is a great hotel and conference center. We had over 7000 registered for the conference, and they appeared to work very well with our conference committee to plan. It would have been nice for the hotel restaurants to stay open a little later than 10. Be prepared to walk. The halls are long and like a maze, depending on where the room is. Rooms are very nice. The staff was very helpful. The conference setup and turn around of rooms were excellent. Service during our Gala was great and quick. The food was delicious.

Yelp
Stayed here for approx a week for a conference. Check in process was easy, there's lots of food places with the hotel for late night snacks. The offer free shuttle services to Universal Studios! The room has 2 queen sized beds. The room is spacious with TV and fridge. However, the only down side there is no microwave in the unit. There's a coffee maker that boils your water and you can get your daily caffeine dose. The market is located in the basement is open 24/7 and there's a microwave to use. Housekeeping were super friendly and they clean daily. There's people who does valet parking. Also, there's bell people who can direct you if you're lost and of course there's a map. There's 4 pools, fitness center, arcade, tennis, volleyball courts. You can pay extra for spa. Would recommend staying here if you're in Orlando!

Yelp
This resort has much to offer to golfers, business people, and families. The food provided for my business meetings (bkfst, lunch dinner) was really good! My room was comfy and the meeting areas were nicely set up. The only miss- the lap pool was closed 2 days due to "bad weather" but there was not any bad weather. Also, I could not get the jets to turn on in one of the jacuzzi's.

Yelp
Holy cow, I'm just a poor tradesman so this place blew me away. I could write paragraphs about the grounds, the service, the food, on and on. It's definitely an actual resort. The pool complex is Vegas-level, with poolside cocktails. it's not cheap, oh no no no. But you'll know it's worth it. Every restaurant... jeez, there's like 37? All of them were spectacular. The made-at-your-table guacamole is a sure hit. I caught a tilapia from the golf course lake. Yes, it was okay to fish. Of course, never eat a fish from a golf course lake. I was up very late, and they were cleaning the restaurant floors with bleach. I like that, especially these days. Bleach kills everything. Hospital-level disinfection made me feel good about their restaurant sanitation. The zebra finch cage was a nice sweet spot to enjoy the birdies. I probably won't be able to afford it again, but definitely put it on your list if you can.

Yelp
I attended a conference at the Rosen Single Creek and was very happy with the accommodations, restaurants, conference rooms, and pools! Reasonably priced and conveniently located.

Yelp
It's my first time here and it's a top notch place to be. From the customer service, food, amenities the list just goes on. They literally have something for everybody. The food at the restaurants is very good. If you are taking a family vacation this would be a great place. They even have an arcade!

Yelp
Arrived to the resort and found it very nice and well groomed. They have a guard shack when you first enter to assist you on where to go and then another parking attendant shack for parking. Although we did not stay in the hotel, I love that they have big pools and a golf course. I came to attend a conference and also loved that the Ballrooms were large to accommodate 1,000 people and that the air conditioning worked well as it was very cold inside. The staff in the hotel was also very welcoming and nice. It is a fairly big hotel resort and have several different restaurants and a cafe inside with many big and smaller rooms for business meetings and conferences. It was nice to have Starbucks coffee in their cafe which made things convenient for food and snacks. They also have a grocery store across the street and other food places which is great! I would love to return next time with my family to stay in the hotel.

Yelp
WOW! I was here for the Weed Man annual conference and what an amazing experience. The staff was 10/10. Every lunch and dinner was perfectly executed with seamless and friendly service and OUTSTANDING food. The entire property is meticulously cared for and is the perfect location to hold any special occasion. I could go on and on about the intricacies of this place. Harris got it right when he built this resort. Speaking of Harris, he was onsite and I had the opportunity to meet him. At 85 years old, he's still involved in the day to day operations. If your company is thinking about holding a conference in the Orlando area, do it here. The staff is top notch. I can't wait to come back to conference in 2024 because I know we will be here at this wonderful resort.
