Rosenstadt Brewery

We appreciated the friendly service, great selection of beer. The only downside was the portion sizes; my currywurst looked like half of a wurst and the pretzels were really small. I didn’t expect a pretzel as big as my head like we have had in Munich, but they were not generous.

Great place to have a beer, sit inside or outside w/friends or simply stop by and have a chat with/owners! Authentic beer styles & ingredients. True to style German beers. Wonderful atmosphere. Love the German biergarten benches & tables. Bar staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and brewery has a great beer list with take home options as well.

We stumbled onto this brewery after dinner at Katchka. Had heard of it, but didn't realize it was in the old Culmination space. We sat at the bar, got a pretzel and tasted most of the beers. All German style with Vienna lagers and Kolsch and malty alt beers. All were excellent and the bartender was fun. We had eaten, so didn't get any food, but will definitely go back for more beers and food.

What an awesome spot great beer and the best food ever! The beer was amazing, seasonal stew was so great we got seconds!!! The bratwurst was the best. The bread was fresh and tasty, great to do in the soup. Lots of heated outdoor seating. Friendly staff.

Great spot. Love that it's tucked away a couple streets over from the main thoroughfare. Lots of outdoor seating. Looking forward to returning and hopefully some Oktoberfest festivities

Dunkel And Festbier. Amazing!! Portland was disappointing me till I found Rosenstadt. This place is amazing. Hands down best beer I have had in Portland.

Small slice of Germany! Beer's cold, owners and staff warm, great ambience and super affordable! So nice to have a German beer place in the area! Great for those who love lagers/pils/wheats and more!

I have tried Rosenstadt's beer before they opened up a taproom or perhaps before O knew there was a taproom. What Steve and I had on a few occasions was their Houblon-Pils. We really liked this beer a lot as it was a pale lager that had the presence of honey and maltiness in the flavor profile with a nice, crisp and clean finish. The beer is nice and light bodied which is always something we can appreciate. After we discovered there was a taproom we went there in person and had a good experience. We shared a nice, bready pretzel with some good, strong mustard. The beer I had there was a departure from the one we had a few times. What I had was the Ur-Weiss which was a Dunkel styled beer. It was good ! Characteristics in that flavor profile are banana, wheat, clove, Belgiany and a earthiness to it. All of those flavor elements were very well balanced out which made me appreciate this beer considerably. I'd love to explore more beers from this German style brewery!

We've been fans of Rosenstadt's beers for a while now, so really happy they finally have a brewpub location. The staff were all very friendly & upbeat. One of the co-founders, Nick, stopped by our table to chat with us awhile, which was quite nice. They don't do flights, but they do have an 8 oz pour option, so I tried a couple with the small pour. All their beers are excellent, so I hope they consider adding a flight option in the future. They have a good amount of seating inside, and plenty of covered patio seating outside, too. Their food menu might be small, but it's all good stuff and everyone in our group enjoyed their lunch (their pork sandwich, in particular, was especially delicious). The only improvement I'd recommend for the food is we ordered two soft pretzels to share and they were served cold (or perhaps brewery "room temp", which was definitely not warm). Soft pretzels really should be served warm, so either it was an oversight, or something they can improve upon. Definitely come pay this place a visit!

Was excited to check this place out and came with friends. It was super cozy, and the staff were nice. I was impressed with how they transformed the space. They had a delightful mix of German-style beers on tap and a few fun collabs. My food was tasty and definitely hit the spot. There seemed to be some point-of-sale issues since part of our food order went missing but was clearly entered by our server. Would totally come back some time!

Excellent German Hefeweizen, friendly & helpful staff, check this place out. Plenty of parking!
