Disappointed. I have been buying seafood from Rose's for five years, and I buy a filet or three of sushi grade salmon each visit (spending about $1000/year on salmon alone, and only at Rose's). Well, after today I have decided to find a new seafood market. Unless you buy whole fish (which I've done, but cut filets are actually slightly cheaper), you must buy pre-cut filets that are wrapped in plastic wrap. Because of this, there's little indication how damaged they may have been in the cutting/deboning process. Today I brought home two filets, at around $80 each, and one of these looks like it was prepped with a weed wacker. I've never seen anything so bad come out of Rose's, but clearly nobody is checking the work of the guys cutting this expensive fish. I really like the staff there, but this seems a little on the ridiculous side. Can you imagine what a restaurant would do if they received "sushi grade" salmon filet that looked like this? Rose's would no longer be their supplier, that's what would happen. Same for me. Really too bad....
