Rosewater is a fantastic spot for a casual meal in Edgartown. The place was busy when I visited, but the service was efficient and quick — a sign of how popular it is. As a first-time customer traveling for work, I wasn’t disappointed. The sandwich I ordered was excellent, full of flavor, and the coffee was just as good. It’s a great place to stop with the whole family, with both indoor and outdoor seating options. Highly recommend if you’re in town and looking for a tasty bite with friendly, fast service.

The BLT was very well done! I'd recommend it. It's a pleasant place in town to eat outside on a delightful summer day.

Stoped by on the breakfast, it was more than good. Waiting in line for 10-15 minute, and more 5-10 minutes for food, plenty of space to sit, inside or outside, better view and experience outside. Girls at counter are very capable and fast in their job, well done. Chairs outside isnt so comfortable. Great place to stop for breakfast, coffe and working on your laptop while enjoying the view of summer street and nice guests. I recomend Egg island, breakfast in bowl alternative, add more eggs because you wil get just one, avocado is great. Great place to meet nice people , girls. They offer breakfast, cofee, lunch, brunch, dinner, sweet pantries, cookies, you can buy island made products as coffe, meat,.. They have also ornaments, shirts, cups, and bunch of different things.

Google
Ate here everyday for almost a week when I visited the island. My favorite was the Egg Sandwich - the homemade biscuit was so, so good! I also had the Spicy Peanut Bowl and Kimchi Fried Rice which were just okay. The Caesar Salad Wrap needs a little more Caesar dressing for flavor and it needs more lettuce so you're not biting mostly on tortilla wrap. Chicken Sandwich was good. As for the drinks, the Matcha Latte I did not care for, but Chai Latte and Hot Chocolate were good.

Google
The egg sandwich with goat cheese is incredible, and is huge!! The place is really nice and all staff were so friendly. This is a great place if you’re looking for a very yummy breakfast. Highly recommend!

Google
Hubby and I stopped by for breakfast. They had a small menu for breakfast and lunch but yummy choices! They had some gluten free bakery treats which was great for hubby!! I ordered bacon egg and cheese on a homemade English muffin. FYI they only have cheddar or goat cheese for cheese options. It was hot fresh and yummy. Hubby had the loaded hash browns and added scrambled eggs but no sour cream. When I opened the container to take a picture it was not what I was expecting but hubby said it was good. It must have been because he did not share!! We will be back tomorrow for the gluten free treats!!Hubby also had a medium roast coffee he said it was good but loves cream in his coffee but he has yet to find cream on the island.

Thankful for delicious orange cranberry gluten free scone and other offerings!

Google
Cute spot in town to grab breakfast and/or coffee. I have popped in twice to get breakfast. The first time I had the overnight oats with banana and chocolate chip which I thought was a bit too chocolate chip heavy and the second time I got the yogurt granola parfait. The parfait was fine but the house made granola tasted a touch on the burned side to me and I do wish it came with some kind of fruit as well. Nice outdoor seating area as well as a small hot dish menu which I have not tried.

Yelp
THE most amazing veggie burger I have ever tried, everything about it is perfect. The patty is crispy on the outside and bursting with fluffy pillowy sweet potato veggie goodness on the inside. Its topped with some purple pickled cabbage and onions and has the softest hawaiian roll bun it seems like. Absolutely obsessed with this burger and get it at least once a week when i come to the vineyard

Yelp
Super cute and chill place, I could definitely see myself getting work done tucked away in a corner. I wasn't very hungry the morning I went so I got the blueberry muffin. It was good but I wish it was warm. Otherwise it was good and I'm glad I had tried something out.

Tom W.

Yelp
I have no idea why this place is so popular. I got a bagel with cream cheese (a very simple order) and the bagel was stale and there was about a half ounce of cream cheese on the bagel in total. Offensively terrible.

Yelp
Really cute breakfast spot. Was so crowded on a Friday morning but we found some good seating. The drinks were really great. I had the hash browns which were cooked well and tasted yummy. Service was pretty quick.

Yelp
I'd have to say that this place is probably one of a handful of coffee shops that makes decent coffee. Their food is OK we had the breakfast burrito the breakfast bowl their biscuits are good. For lunch we had the smash burgers which were OK.

Rachel W.

Yelp
Prices were reasonable for the drinks. However the baked goods were not good. It was 3.50 for a literally burnt cookie and it was hard as a rock. It chipped a filling on my tooth. And the ginger lemon scone tasted like the pastry equivalent of pine-sol. Eat here at your own risk.

Barbara L.

Yelp
Had a cranberry scone this morning for a treat- WORST EVER! Dry. Tasteless. Hard. Seemed old. Don't get their bakery!
google avatar

Warren B.

Yelp
Uber friendly staff. From scratch local food that's carefully prepared with love. An avocado toast charmed. The fried chicken sandwich is a flurry of excitement. Always a pleasure to visit. And dine.

Yelp
Stopped by Rosewater in August during my visit to Martha's Vineyard to grab a casual late lunch. Love how many options there are! Especially for health-conscious and plant-based eaters. I was a little overwhelmed as I walked up to the counter to order, but ended up going with the Veggie Jammie, which is a bagel sandwich with housemade vegan tofu cream cheese, tomato, red onion, carrots, cucumbers, peppers, and scallions (minus the red onion for me) $14. My sister went with the veggie burger. Seating was packed, both inside and out, but we were able to snag two chairs at the end of a high-top community table. My bagel sandwich was fresh and light. It could have been a tad more robust in the flavor department, but no real complaints. My sister seemed to enjoy her lunch as well. Service was good, and the location is amazing. Edgartown is definitely worth a visit. It's a pleasant neighborhood to stroll about and peruse shops. If you're in town I'd recommend stopping by Rosewater for a quick, healthy bite.

Yelp
A friend and I visited Rosewater Market & Takeaway on a Friday afternoon in December, and the place was packed. We were thankful that they're open in the off-season, and it seems like this place is many people's go-to for that reason. Despite them being a full-house at the time of our visit, they got our coffee orders out to us rather quickly. My seasonal Peppermint Mocha was tasty, and my friend enjoyed her Chai Latte. We didn't get any food items on our visit, but they had a pastry case that had some yummy-looking treats, including some holiday cookies that almost looked too pretty to eat. Even though it was a colder day, there were still several groups of people sitting at their outside tables, and the festive holiday decor paired with the charm of this Edgartown street low-key made us feel like we were in a Hallmark Christmas movie. We'd come back solely for the vibe alone.

Yelp
100% recommend. Fun coffee shop, bakery, and market in MV. couldn't find anything like it in oak bluffs so made the quick trip here 2 days in a row for coffee and take away breakfast. The English muffin. I still dream of and wish I could have bought some to come home with. So good. Service was quick and friendly.

Yelp
Rose water is a great spot for grabbing breakfast or lunch. They have a wide variety of prepared foods as well as a menu to order from. I really liked the breakfast burrito and the various sides they offer. Food is fresh abs high quality. They have a parking lot which is nice as well.
google avatar

Rebecca H.

Yelp
This place was high up on my list of places to hit during a recent trip to MV. We work nights and adjust our schedule to slightly more normal waking hours while on vacation so we just managed to squeeze in before the kitchen closes at 2pm. We were fortunately able to get our caffeine in as well and both elected to order iced matcha lattes with oat milk. They had a few vegetarian options on the menu which narrowed things down for me as I was reminded by GF that the clock to order was ticking. Breakfast is available all day and I will admit it was tempting but I ultimately really couldn't NOT order their spicy peanut tofu bowl with house-marinated tofu, vermicelli noodles, kimchi, veggies, and arugula. It was DELICIOUS. The sauce was incredibly flavorful and don't even get me started on the fucking tofu. I need that marinade. I want to bathe in that marinade. The best part about it was with all the veggies I felt really good about eating it and it was definitely one of the more nutritious meals of our trip. The whole vibe of the place is really cute with ample seating. This is such a good spot and I can't recommend it enough.

Mike M.

Yelp
Very well decorated restaurant for breakfast coffee and lunch. This place was busy at early hours. Many high rolling Edgartowners looking for their mid morning pick me up.
google avatar

Cara T.

Yelp
Great service, likely the best breakfast selection on the this side of the island. Coffee is acceptable. Prices are better than most of the other QSR locations and the decor is designed with both aesthetics and efficiency in mind.

Yelp
We came 7 years ago and ate here several times. We came back and both felt like there was a lot less on the menu than we remembered. We got a maple bacon scone to take home and if we hadn't paid so much, it would've gone in the trash. I've never had a scone so hard. I had to put a damp paper towel over it to get it edible. We got it when they first opened so I don't know if it was day old but it tasted that way. So disappointed.
google avatar

Deborah A.

Yelp
The most delicious bagels I've had in years so yummy fresh. The egg sandwich was to die for. It's a really pretty place inside. Well done Bravo.

Ali I.

Yelp
Food was great. Service not the best. Busy place with a lot of options. It's a great place for breakfast- order at the counter.

Yelp
I found Rosewater Market on my hunt for coffee during my first visit to Edgartown. A local suggested it and in my caffeine-deprived state, I almost missed "Rosewater Market & Takeaway" because they have another location about a block away called "Rosewater Wine & Spirits." Then, of course, a few steps from that is another place called "Rosebud." Lost in this little Rose garden of everything-except-caffeine, I was relieved to finally find the right spot directly across the street from the Charlotte Inn. Rosewater Market's facade, like many places in Edgartown, has a lovely New England vibe. The latte was perfect and the chocolate chip cookie was even better - not too soft and not too hard. Next time I'm in Edgartown, I'll be sure to make a direct beeline back here.

Yelp
Really great spot to grab a bite and browse! You can either order from the kitchen or grab and go from the premade items - all reasonably priced compared to other spots in the area. Ordered the breakfast bowl and topped it with an egg - so delicious! This spot is such a breath of fresh air - highly recommend! Off Main St but very popular spot so expect to wait during peak times.
google avatar

Lauren S.

Yelp
Giving 1 star for service... a shame because the food is 5 stars. Caught some serious attitude from one of the employees, for these prices I just would expect kindness at the minimum.

Yelp
Rosewater Market & Take Away is a gourmet sandwich shop and marketplace that opened in Edgartown, Massachusetts in July 2015. It was founded by business partners Julia Celeste, Tina Miller and Rachael Fox. Julia and Tina had originally worked together at Flatbread Pizza, near the Martha's Vineyard Airport. There had not been a marketplace in Edgartown for years. When a space opened up in town, Julia and Tina decided to open their own marketplace. After closing on the building, they contacted chef Rachael Page. Julia and Tina had first met Rachael when she was working at the Behind the Bookstore cafe and they were impressed by the quality food she served. She had since relocated to Los Angeles, but the two convinced her to return to Martha's Vineyard. Some of the items featured on the menu include various sandwiches, wraps, freshly baked muffins and biscuits, food bowls, soups, salads and gourmet coffee. The business partners opened a sister store, Rosewater Wine & Spirits, down the street in May 2017. My family and I visited Rosewater recently when we were on a week-long vacation in Cape Cod. We had taken the ferry over to Martha's Vineyard and were having a day trip. While exploring Edgartown, we passed by Rosewater and decided to stop there for lunch. The interior of the marketplace was very nice and smelled of delicious freshly baked goods. After scanning the menu, my wife and I both ordered one of their most popular items: the Buttermilk Fried Chicken. This dish is available as either a sandwich or in a salad. We opted for the sandwich version, which comes in either classic style or Buffalo style; we opted for the latter. The Buffalo version is a buttermilk fried chicken breast with Buffalo sauce, house-made pickles, arugula, and ranch dressing on toasted Ciabatta bread. This is one very tasty chicken sandwich! We are really glad that we stopped in at Rosewater and we would definitely stop again.

Yelp
We were starved after our 5+ our drive from Manhattan, but held out for a delicious lobster roll on the island. Rosewater didn't disappoint. Incredibly generous chunks of lobster - not overly soddened by cream or mayo, and a perfectly toasted roll. It was my sister's first lobster roll and she loved it. Bonus: super spacious, charming little shop, and lots of outdoor seating too.
google avatar

Andrew G.

Yelp
Best sandwich spot in Edgartown. Nice atmosphere and lots of seating. Don't miss the BLT. Counter service was a bit bland, but saved me the gratuity.
google avatar

David P.

Yelp
Four stars by vineyard standards, where there are lots of overpriced mediocre places. The coffee is some of the better coffee in Edgartown, the food is "pretty good" but varies dramatically day to day. Breakfast burrito was great one day, sloppy the next. The avocado toast was ice cold avocado on barely toasted bread, not good. Overall one of the better breakfast options, and has a great outdoor patio.

Theresa T.

Yelp
The gluten free scones were amazing! I can't ever find decent baked goods and this place offers more than one.
google avatar

Anthony R.

Yelp
Great little nook for a quick breakfast snack with a coffee or a breakfast danish. I had my best scone today. A maple bacon scone. So good. Might go back tomorrow for another. And their lunch items are crazy good. Their fried chicken sandwich. It's a must
google avatar

Matthew M.

Yelp
Avocado Toast 5/10. Do not recommend. Overly dry, tasteless bread, no chew. Boring (and slightly over ripe) avocado, and that's pretty much it. For $9 (I know it's Edgartown), throw on some tomato, or micro greens or lemon or something to make it more interesting.
google avatar

Christiane M.

Yelp
i love this cafe so much, the vibes are absolutely adorable and the food is delish. the only reason this is getting 4 stars is the hashbrowns. everything here is so amazing but the hash brown looks like a burnt log and we can't have that. but the biscuits are amazing so maybe get that instead

Jill H.

Yelp
Plentiful menu to pick from. I order the breakfast burrito which exudes "fresh" in every bite. Absolutely delicious. Vanilla latte had real vanilla bean and was finished beautifully with a pretty foam finish. Best cup of coffee! I will make this a must visit every year on my vineyard vacations
google avatar

Britt S.

Yelp
Stopped to grab a few things for lunch to take on the ferry. Delicious beet and farro salad! The staff were helpful and friendly. Great outdoor seating area out front. Highly recommend!
google avatar

Todd F.

Yelp
Love it! We'll be in town next week and it's already on my mind. I had to check to be certain they were open. They are! I especially look forward to their breakfast sandwiches, although the entire menu is worth a visit.
google avatar

Melissa P.

Yelp
This is a great add to Edgartown; but quick to-go orders and a few seats out front. The location isn't on the Main Street, and not well marked on how to get there so I had to ask the Rosewater that sells alcohol that is on the main road; the woman working at that one was rude, hence the 1 star taken off. I bought the tofu Thai bowl, it was delicious and very, very filling. In fact, this will likely be a two meal dish, or great for two people to consume. The sauce was perfect and the tofu wasn't over cooked. My cousin got the club-like sandwich and she loved it. We bought the chocolate chip cookie to share and it wasn't great, it was over baked and just tasted like butter. Otherwise the whole experience was wonderful and I can't wait to bring my husband there soon.

Yelp
After an extended pandemic closure, Rosewater returned to live action early this year, and in my local opinion, has since provided a more relatable/approachable/down-to-earth customer experience than before. They have simplified some aspects of the menu and general offerings around the store. They appear to maintain a more consistent offering of their food selections while maintaining the fresh approach they've had since the beginning. Staff also seem to be more comfortable going with the flow of the day's activities and volume of crowds. Thanks to Rosewater for its commitment to being a downtown destination and supporting the community at large.

Yelp
Where do I begin? I Love this spot so much. It has been long overdue to have a hip spot like this in Edgartown. Vegans, vegetarians, gluten intolerant and everyone in between-look no further! The space is really cute and airy while still maintaining that island feel. The folks behind the counter were lovely, and the bathrooms were clean. That alone won me over! The goods for sale in the store are gorgeous and different and they even had a women power area which melted my little feminist heart! They have salads and sandwiches, but truly that doesn't do it justice. I ordered he blt, and can confirm after having it two days in a row that it is the best blt on island. Perfect ratios, great multi grain bread...it was excellent. I have a dairy intolerance, so when I saw Raaka chocolates I lost my mind. They don't even carry these in the Whole Foods near me. They had a ton of other treats and snacks that are eco and dietary friendly! I work out here often and this will be my new go to for lunch for sure!
google avatar

Daniel G.

Yelp
This is an island staple. The food is honestly some of the best counter service food you can get. The breakfast sandwich and breakfast burrito are arguably the best breakfast I've ever had. All the coffee drinks are delicious, the atmosphere is pleasant, and they have sparkling water on tap. 10/10.
google avatar

Katherine B.

Yelp
We had such a nice lunch here and really enjoyed the little shop inside! I got the buttermilk chicken sandwich and my husband got the lobster roll both were great, my chicken was nice and crispy and the lobster was really fresh. It also had the funniest cards in the shop that we enjoyed looking at when we went inside.

Yelp
We have been eyeballing Rosewater since we arrived at Martha's Vineyard this year. The menu looked good but we weren't totally sold. Probably because of the name - the hubby loves rosewater as an ingredient and was disappointed that it wasn't used in the food. I, on the other hand, hate rosewater and was afraid it was an ingredient in the food. Anyhow, on our last morning in the Vineyard we decided to give it a shot. We had: - 2 eggs sunny side up on top of vegetable hash - delicious! It tasted like there was dijon mustard mixed in it. - Coffee - very good and fresh. The seating area is lovely and airy, with a very Martha's Vineyard vibe - upscale, socially conscious and clean. There is a gourmet food store on the other side of the seating area. We would definitely come back!!
google avatar

Yelp
Wonderful quaint little lunch place in the middle of town. Home made BLT sandwiches. Fresh produce, delicious baked goods, beautiful little building in a friendly community. The baked carrots and the fresh brussel sprouts were amazing - cannot get enough of them. The caesar salad was crisp, fresh and delicious as well. Wonderful.
google avatar

Mike H.

Yelp
My favorite thing to do when on vacation is to find awesome, original places to eat. This is one of them! Cool vibe inside, really good atmosphere. Relaxed, comfy, fresh on the inside. Tables to sit at, non-food stuff to peruse. Nice buzz and energy to the place but not loud. Highlight, though, was the chicken sandwich - very original, tons of flavor (very light sauce) - loved it!!! Had to fight family member to get it back. Would seek it out whenever in Edgartown. Others enjoyed the avocado toast ("really liked it, tasted fresh) and Caesar wrap. Would definitely recommend this place! FYI - they had just reopened to dine-in from pandemic and menu is still limited. Would like to return for the lobster roll when they bring it back.

Yelp
We've discovered this relatively new Marketplace which specializes in coffee and lots of local favorite foods. The ladies are really nice and offer options and choices while deciding to order. We're here all week and plan on patronizing thus great place as much as possible. Well done Rose Water Market !!!

Yelp
Really nice coffee and brunch cafe. Food tastes amazing. The Interior is really nice. The menu and cafe items are really pricey but its MV:)
google avatar

Yelp
We went here several times during our week on the Vineyard and it quickly became a favorite spot. As someone with a gluten allergy, I appreciated that they have a selection of tasty gluten free baked goods and that a lot of their made to order meals can be prepared gluten free. I had the veggie burger bowl (over greens), the gf coffee cake, gf PB cookie, and gf cranberry scone.

Diane R.

Yelp
Healthy options, fresh ingredients, and great food. Terrific out door seating with shade and sun
google avatar

Jack M.

Yelp
Rosewater, I get you. Yup, there is a place for you on this island. However, $13 for a burger... no fries... no o rings... no chips? Hey, I understand that everyone here is super rich, but even the wealthy must think twice... spending $13 for a $6 Five Guys-like burger is just stupid. It's the lack of flavor that's the real issue... no beef taste. It didn't taste badly - it was just void of any culinary delights. That's all you got? My take... go to Newes from America... and invest $16 - and secure a tasty burger - with fries, too! Rosewater, I get you.

Julianna L.

Yelp
I love Rosewater Market. The staff is so friendly and the food is incredible. My ONLY complaint is that the pasta salad is seasonal.
google avatar

Imogen E.

Yelp
I ordered the Bacon Jammy and the Turkey sandwich. Each sandwich had potential. They were large and freshly made but weren't perfectly executed. The turkey sandwich was more of a mayo sandwich, which is great if you a huge fan of mayo, but not so great if you wanted to enjoy the other flavors of the sandwich. The bacon jammy had little bacon to speak of so it was really a pesto bagel sandwich which was still fairly nice. The coffee itself was excellent and the desserts looked very tasty although I did not try any. It was nice and bright inside with friendly, fast service but overall I would not say the sandwiches were quite worth the money.
