"This is Santana Row’s go-to lowkey pub and bar. The bar’s been around for more than a decade, is terrific for pints of Guinness and for dishes including blackened chicken and mahi mahi tuna alike, and even hosts live music on a regular basis. Drop by for a happy hour or get comfortable for a vibey evening." - Paolo Bicchieri, Johanna Harlow

The brussel sprouts were amazing and the Shepard's pie was pretty good. I liked the classic pub feel and beautiful entrance (see photo). I wish the server came around more. (dry beverage glasses are a shame in any restaurant. People buy one entree but more than one drink.. so watch those cups!) But man, I HATE those digital checkout devices that replace a paper check. I want to look at that check. I want to see if gratuities or extra charges were automatically added, maybe scan for any glaring errors. I'm not suspicious but it happens. And maybe I want to contemplate the experience overall. Instead, the server said, "That comes to 95 dollars and..[etc]", and holds out the little device. 'Oh, so we're doing this now, with you looking right at me? Ok.' No itemization. Just a number. I thoughtlessly put in the tip amount. If I ever end up here again I'll ask for a paper bill.

We always go here for dinner every other Thursday night. The food is excellent and and the service is also very prompt. They also have a happy hour which starts on 8 pm on Thursday night. We ordered Fish and chip, Calamari, Quesada and the crab cakes. They all were delicious, I really enjoyed the fish and chips.

From the lively tunes to the warm atmosphere, Rosie McCann's truly captures the spirit of St. Patrick's Day! 🍀 Wishing everyone at the pub and beyond a day filled with laughter, joy, and plenty of Irish cheer. Sláinte!

Came here for brunch on Sunday. Had to try the McCann’s Mule since it was Voted #1 Moscow Mule by Bartenders, 2016 and it was alright. There wasn’t any mint which bummed me out because HOW can it be #1 without mint?! But it was still bubbly and good. Service: Good. Nothing noteworthy of being either poor or exceptional. Our server/the bartender Julio was friendly and attentive. He checked in on us a minute into eating and made sure to get another side of ranch for the sandwich promptly which was awesome. He was also very friendly when we walked in. 5/5 Food: Harp Lager Signature Fish & Chips - AMAZING. Some of the best fish and chips I’ve ever had. The outside was soft and flaky and the fish was thick and cooked perfectly. It melted in my mouth. 8/10 California Chicken Sandwich (modified to my liking) with sweet potato fries - great sandwich. Everything was fresh; the avocado, lettuce and tomato. The bacon was cooked PERFECTLY, not too crispy which paired well with the crispy chicken. The only downside is that the crispy chicken had a bit too much oil leftover on it which soaked into the bread. The sweet potato fries were also really good. Thin and crispy and paired well with the sandwich. 8/10 Atmosphere: Beautiful rustic bar feeling with authentic Irish touches making me feel like I’m in a rich getaway from the prohibition period. I was getting major Peaky Blinders vibes. Unfortunately it seemed to be pretty slow for how many people were around. I don’t know why it’s not busier. People should definitely come in and check this place out. All together, I would definitely come back. This is a hidden gem in plain sight. 4⭐️/5⭐️ Note: One thing that bothered me greatly was a mandatory 5% charge for “living wage” for the staff. Why can’t this business pay their employees properly? Service industry employees make their “living wage” off of tips so why is there an additional charge for that? And DOES it go to the employees? Or does it go to the employer? Anyway; it just didn’t seem right with me but that’s my two cents.

Place looks rundown. Needs a major makeover or change of name/ownership. Food is average, considering its bar food. Service could be better, servers could be a bit more attentive/friendly. It’s a bar so I’d say not kid-friendly. Come during the day. Night crowd can be rowdy, sometimes guests can be disrespectful.

Used this place to grab a drink and a bite to eat. The prices are very reasonable and the food tasty. Mainly burgers and the other traditional Irish (American) dishes such as Cottage Pie, Fish and Chips etc. Service was excellent and there is a wide range of beers. It was quiet when we went in. Excellent value for money.

Nice atmosphere inside. Spiffy bartender. Happy hour on Sundays from 3pm till close. Mon-Sat 3pm-6:30pm They have a good selection of beers on tap. So plenty of people ordering food - burgers look specially good. They have a pub slider trio for $8

We hosted an event for an organization I belong to. The experience was good, and we had a great turnout. When I arrived, I ordered a glass of wine from the bar. It wasn’t busy, but took quite a while to get acknowledged. Other than that, I had a blast with colleagues. I am not crazy about the appetizers but I am sure I’ll have reason to go back— it’s worth another try.

Yelp
Let's say that I've been wanting to try going to an Irish Pub every since all the fun festivities of Saint Patrick's Day that I witnessed happening. I've been wanting to try one of those alcoholic Irish coffees, and the perfect opportunity came when we were looking for some place to find refuge from the rain. We literally stumbled upon Rosie's and enjoyed the warmth as well as the drinks that they provided. First off, they have three distinct areas: the bar, middle dining area, and a back dining area. Each part has a particular character (bar is more relaxed and dark, middle dining area is brighter and cozier, and back dining area is fancier and more exclusive). We got to occupy both the bar area and the middle dining area and enjoyed both spots. Note that they have TVs everywhere except for the back dining area. Since we only got drinks, I cannot comment on the food. With that said, we got the following: -an IPA called "Stardust" -one Irish coffee with whiskey IPA was refreshing and not too heavy; the Irish coffee is definitely thick, strong (espresso and alcohol-wise), and sweet. It wasn't bad, but definitely for someone looking for something to fill themselves with (be it caffeine, alcohol, or sugar). Service was okay? No complaints and no particular praises.

Yelp
We came here on Sunday to celebrate the St. Patrick's Day . Traditional Irish with Green decorations We ordered the Bacon wrapped Prawns so delicious . Main dishes we ordered Lamb stew Mc.Cann's Mahi-mahi . First time we came here for a lunch . The staff was friendly and helpful . Overall good food and great service

Yelp
My wife, mother in law, and I stopped in for a drink Saturday night. The drinks were good and bartender attentive. After an hour of being there we were approached by security asking to see our IDs. They asked us, the people to our right, but not the several people to the left. 30 minutes later another security guard approached us and told us they had to take our chairs, we're not allowed to sit at the bar any more. 10 minutes after that another security guard asked me to take off my hat, said now there's a dress code in place. He asked me, but not the three other people wearing hats. Now feeling uncomfortable we all went outside. I put my hat back on only to be approached again. Even outside I can't wear my hat. Apparently this place turns into a night club between 9-10pm on Saturday, and the rules completely change. Nowhere did we see that posted nor were we warned. We were just blind sided. Every time we come here, something is off. Which is disappointing since the food is good and the bartenders are good. We will likely not be stopping by again.

Yelp
Came here near 10pm on a Wednesday night after trivia at nearby Sauced for some nitro Guinnesses. I've passed by this spot a million times but have never gone in. It's actually a lot brighter than I anticipated on the inside. The music was hyphy/had strong party vibes but the place was empty when we got in. It was also quite loud so we shouted to talk to each other. I was happy to see that there was a free order of Irish Nachos with a Yelp check-in! I wasn't sure what to expect, but it's just sliced potatoes instead of tortilla chips. There's guac too! The potatoes were nice in thickness and they solved any residual drunchies I had. The beers were smooth and cold. Delicious! The staff was nice and the bathrooms were decent. The place actually got packed before we left. There were groups of friends and some couples all around the bar. Not many people were in the regular seating area. Not sure if I'd come here for Irish food but it hit the spot for our Guinness cravings.

Yelp
To no surprise my review was taken down, but I'll still put my two cents in from the worst bday night ever. Bobby was super rude && my experience was lame. They really know how to treat a girl...POORLY & LIKE SHIII. I was refused to be let in because I was TOO drunk, and apparently I was too drunk because they saw me over their "laughing" and that was what made me TOO drunk?!!?! Yes - my friends and I were drunk - but not to the point that we couldn't stand or speak, and or LIST out all the drinks we had when asked us to do so to prove that we weren't too drunk...like WHAA??!?! (are you my fn dad?!?) Granted if this was a speakeasy or restaurant/bar - I'd understand. But no, it's an IRISH PUB with a dance floor that plays hip hop...where 80% of the ppl here are drunk every time we've been. And oddly enough the people after us was let in, alsooooo very drunk (and laughing) but given they were a different race - maybe it made them special. As an Asian American born and raised in the BAY - Never have I ever been treated this way - and at one point I cried out of anger and sheer stupidity of the whole situation. Yes it felt racial, 100%. As we were calling an Uber to leave they even had to audacity to tell us we were causing a commotion...being too ghetto and that "they let us in" & weren't sure why we were being so dramatic...Yes sure after treating us like shiiii...and then as we ignored them they proceeded to stand there & stare at us to intimidate us to leave. Ooohh you're such a macho MAN for belittling women, who are sitting at a PUBLIC space FYI. It was clear, we weren't the right "type" of people for them or their bar overall. Love me the SROW vibes, but never will I step foot in this place ever again.

Yelp
My partner and I work in the restaurant industry and usually after a long day, we can go for a drink to unwind. I used to come here every now-and-then by myself, and ironically, so did she. At some point, we realized that we both frequented this place so we decided to come together. Long story short, we are dating. I am a repeat offender of getting a guiness on draught here, and she loves the paloma. We also enjoy the calamari as a starter and will mix it up between the sandwiches and the salads! What really keeps us coming back is the service. All the bartenders and even the bussers are incredibly friendly. Everyone always says "hi!" and will take care of you in a very quick manner. The ambiance depending on the day of the week can vary. If it's a weekend, it will definately be more bustling and loud, weekday however will give you a bit more elbow room. Overall; this has become our watering hole and we will definitely be back! Thanks Rosie's!

Yelp
For a Wednesday afternoon, it was really quiet. The interior is filled with Irish-style paintings and there are really cool green lights in the ceiling. The food here will normally cost at least $18. It's more on the pricier end because it's in Santana Row. It took a few minutes for the server to approach me. I thought the restaurant was closed at first. I sat by the table near the doors. It was a nice space to look out the cars driving. They have trendy music from the 80s. I got quesadilla and it is saltier than I expected. It is quite oily so if you want to keep your hands clean, a fork and knife is highly suggested.

Yelp
Went there for lunch with friends . They were serving brunch menu at 1 PM . Considering it's a cafe / pub , we were ok with the menu but the food was absolutely below average . Ordered Avocado toast with salad . It came with one piece of brown bread like the ones you would get at a grocery store , not even toasted well ! Avocado was mashed on it like someone fixing a quick toast at home . The side salad had very little to no dressing on it. It was all so bland , sloppy and not worth it !

Yelp
Slightly late review but the food here was so delicious! We went here last December for my birthday and had a great time here. I was a bit worried at first that we would be in the "loud" area, but they understood and seated us in a romantic nook where we could talk quietly. The atmosphere was warm and romantic, with live music. We ordered crispy calamari for an appetizer, with drinks of Jameson Irish Whiskey & Peach Panther (drinks were amazing!). For entrees we ordered a ribeye and a New York steak, garlic mashed potatoes, and mixed veggies. We loved all of the food and drinks, and this restaurant is now in our rotation. Thank you for the great birthday dinner!

Yelp
(Ryan Reynolds pretending to be Ed Sheeran voiceover) The vibe is most happenin' dance spot on Santana Row on a Friday Night...Umm Saturday morning. Andrew warmly greeted us and made sure all the patrons entering were safe. The place was thumping even before entering the doors. Inside Jacob et al made sure we were safe. Love security! So many beautiful people! Wait...where am I? That's right, I'm right in the middle of where I was supposed to be. I'm in the moment. Isn't that right, ladies? The ever oh so lovely Pais came by and we ordered a Dom & fresh fruit juice. We just loved the spectacular fireworks that ensued! Pineapple juice made for the perfect mixer, straight or cut with the finest bubbly. It's like an Hawaiian vacation in a glass just after having a fabulous meal in France! That's the Dom Perignon effect! Salubrious! Delectably intoxicating. Gentlemen, this is the one champagne to have the ladies try. Results will vary, but the universe will reveal her cosmic secrets through her delish effervescence. Am I wrong, ladies? And, gents, if you then find yourself ensconced in the company of gorgeous women, surrender. That is your purpose. Rosie's is THE definition of a fantastic venue to have your fave mademoiselles sur le Monde dance the night away! The mutual cardiovascular benefits are undeniable. 4 out of 5 cardiologists may agree. Didn't know that heart health was communicable. I feel like I could do an Ironman or Tough Mudder after doing the Kate Upton Cat Daddy all night long. I just love cats. Meow! Trust me...maybe. Haha! Would order everything again! Thanks, Pais! Next time I'll lead with, "Yes, young lady, I'd like to order an epic time complete with fireworks for my fave besties on planet Earth." Rosie's! Woohoo!

Andi C.

Yelp
Horrible food. Probably would return just for the beer. I ordered chicken pesto pasta and it looks and tasted like it was cooked by an inexperienced cook. The calamari looked like mozzarella sticks? Paid almost $250 for our order--- I am extremely frustrated.

Yelp
We had a table for about 22 people on Thursday night. I made reservations over the phone. I forgot the name of our server/waitress but she was so sweet. We also got bottle service. She seated us close to the dj. We practically had the whole dance floor to ourselves at first. Music was r and b and hip hop. We had a great time.

Ann M.

Yelp
Came here for corn beef and cabbage to get into the St. Patty's spirit for this week. It was really good. I was impressed. My family usually makes it during this time and I haven't found one that I liked at a restaurant. This place I would come back again for it. Another entree we got was the shepherd's pie. It was tasty. I did prefer the pie over the corn beef. Also, the desserts was amazing! The creme brûlée was divine and the apple pie was perfect. The service was awesome. They changed the channel for us when we asked. Larry, our server was the best! Attentive and made the evening so much fun. We had Irish car bombs as well! I forgot how much I enjoyed that drink. The place wasn't as loud but their was someone playing the violin outside. It was nice walking into the restaurant with entertainment. I had a great evening at the restaurant.

Allie G.

Yelp
My friends and I visited Rosie McCann's on a Saturday evening and our party of 5 was able to get seated right away. The vibe was interesting because it's an Irish pub that apparently turns into a club with bottle service after a certain time. There were plenty of TV screens, cute holiday decorations, and some nicer tables with table cloths (not ours though). We all ordered Espresso Martinis, but unfortunately I wasn't a fan at all - wayyy too sweet and creamy. They also had a check-in offer for 1 free order of Irish Nachos, which we really appreciated! It was a small serving but a very tasty snack - basically just nachos with potato medallions instead of chips. The service was a bit lukewarm and we ended up leaving after one round, but overall it was an ok experience.

Kristina K.

Yelp
What can I say, this place is just a regular old pub with overpriced drinks. Not super clean (but not dirty either I guess). I would say this place is exactly average: 3 stars.

Tracey L.

Yelp
Of course I had fun! Rosie is the place to celebrate Saint Paddy's Day! There's a small 20-dollar cover charge at the door. Let me to you what you get for that small fee. Traditional Irish Bagpipes with a live band and Dj. Green Beer, gift bags, and the most festive decorations!

Rus C.

Yelp
We were there fora party several weeks and our group had a blast. The food was good and the service went out of there way to make sure we were happy. It was around 10pm on Fri and they had a DJ there. I'll be going back.

Shamina W.

Yelp
We arrived to this location for a late dinner. There was someone at the door checking ID, the music was loud and pretty cool vibe. We sat outside on a chilly night but the couches were cozy and heaters were on. The drinks were comparable for the area but not very tasty. The food was a little over priced for the quality. We have bacon wrapped shrimp which were awful. They were mushy almost made me think they had gone bad. The fried fish with fries was okay but had a very pungent odor. I did have a nice time but I could've skipped the food and enjoyed the environment and drinks.

Anvitha Jyothi M.

Yelp
Must try the MC canns lamb stew, it's really good... Service was good.. Outdoor seating was good. But missing Santana row vibe..

Nicole K.

Yelp
Brunch was delicious! Great portions and very flavorful. Drinks were decently priced for brunch and the service was very attentive. Wasn't too busy when we went which was nice

Regina A.

Yelp
We went on a Wednesday afternoon for a happy hour. The restaurants is kinda hole in the wall in santana row it's located in the corner across from the counter burger. We were about to go to yard house for the happy hour but then decided to tried out this place instead. These are what we ordered: 1. Sliders - good and fresh 2. Steak quesadilla - good comes with pico de gallo and guacamole 3. Irish nachos - they made the nachos with potatoes and i really like this one 4. My husband ordered a beer and he said it's light and refreshing. Service was good and fast. We didn't get tk try their dinner menu which we might tried out next time.

Colton N.

Yelp
Kiara is the best!!! We had a great brunch and kiara was our server. Thank you kiara!!! She was the sweetest server, and had such a great attitude! Definitely will be coming back and requesting Kiara! Loved the vibes on the restaurant and the bottomless mimosas, but genuinely the service was great. We had a great brunch, the restaurant is awesome.

Vince P.

Yelp
Very bad service and bouncers are out of this world lol! Do not know how this place is still in business

Greg S.

Yelp
In the heat of Santana Row, this pub has a great indoor and outdoor space. We were here for a Saturday brunch and were not disappointed. Chilaquiles were awesome as was the Benedict. Great service and reasonably priced.

Lexi D.

Yelp
Came here with my sister right after she flew into SFO. I really enjoy the atmosphere of Santana Row and the Irish Pub. There is dog friendly outdoor seating out front and it has a really pretty entrance. We came later and didn't have a ton of time to eat before the Dance floor opened at 9pm. The service was wonderful, they seated us even though we got there late, and everyone was so pleasant. The waitress who served us was the kindest person, and gave us good recommendations for drinks. We got Brussel Sprouts, Lamb Stew and a Salad with chicken. The chicken was cooked well and the brussel sprouts were phenomenal. The Lamb was not too tough and everything was super yum. The Peach Panther was very sweet and I thought it tasted like a tutti-frutti but my sister disagreed. The Spicy BlackBerry Margarita was very spicy but sooooo good. I would come back here again and again. Next time most likely for just drinks as it is a bit expensive, but there were lots of people around watching the niners, and you can make it as casual or fancy as you'd like, which is my favorite type of vibe.

Padraig F.

Yelp
The staff is very nice and polite. The food is bland. I ordered the shepherd pie and I couldn't finish eating it because it just tasted like gray. Seriously I'm someone who tries not to waist food and this had zero flavor it was horrible. Can't blame them for the bad food though, it's a Northern Ireland pub (loyalist) so like true British they don't know how to cook. It's not a real Irish pub and it's quite insulting. If you want to try real Irish food don't bother going here, if you want to try British food I complete recommend this place.

Michelle W.

Yelp
This review is so overdue, I just wish I had more time to write it today. This restaurant is awesome! They serve great food during the daytime and into the early evening and then several nights a week, later on in the evening time, they turn into a type of nightclub, complete with a DJ. Each time I come here the food is excellent. The California Burger is my favorite menu item and it's definitely one of the best burgers that I've ever eaten. They have big screen tvs and play great music and they have a fantastic bar as well. You can dine inside, in the air conditioning, or outside on the sidewalk of Santana Row. This restaurant is located inside the Hotel Valencia on the opposite side of the entrance (the backside of the building) just in case you have trouble finding it. There is plenty of parking in the Santana Row parking garages and they don't charge for parking in Santana Row. During the weekends they even play live music in Santana Row, right outside Rosie's!

Kevin M.

Yelp
It was my first experience. Can't blame this one on COVID related things. I made reservations many hours before, as suggested on open table. When I showed up I was greeted by a security person checking ID and was told rudely that there weren't any reservations. When I showed my confirmation he called the owner/partner/manager- they came out and told me all reservations had been cancelled (Never received notice of cancellation) When looking for a helpful solution- they asked for a $20 cover charge and directed me towards host rudely. Many people saw what happened and asked why they were being so rude. I shrugged, left and had sushi instead. Is their food worth it? I will never know

Jenni S.

Yelp
The food was good but like average good and certainly not at the price point. The living wage surcharge is ridiculous. Everyone of the staff deserves a living wage but the price of food is clearly already marked up to cover inflation. The extra surcharge on top of that comes across as a seedy move to maintain old profit margins that are not as shared with employees.

Lindsey C.

Yelp
Justin C. was a great server. He made my birthday feel extremely special. He was very patient and kind with our indecisive group. Our group enjoyed our drinks & had a blast on the dance floor.

Shareen G.

Yelp
I have walked past this place plenty of times but never actually went in or had any drinks or any food. My friends and I were at Santana row celebrating my birthday dinner. We had made reservations since there were six of us which is the maximum table capacity right now during COVID and it was a Friday night. Reservations were easily made online. Once we arrived, we were seated all the way at the end of the side walk away from the music and pretty far away from the restaurant. We had asked the hostess if we can sit inside since there were plenty of tables open and it was cold. She said there wasn't anything open currently but would keep an eye on it. A while later, we went and checked again and she said sure. She then went and talked to a manager I believe. The manager comes up to us and asks if we want bottle service and we said no because we have already been ordering drinks. She then proceeded to tell us we can't sit inside then. However, plenty of tables inside did not have bottle service. She was very rude and could not give us a reason as to why other tables inside were able to sit there but they didn't have bottle service. I definitely wish I got her name. We just ended up ordering the Irish nachos since they are free with a Yelp check in and some drinks then left soon after. The manager or whoever she was, totally killed our vibe and mood and we just wanted to leave. The drinks were okay and the nachos were okay as well. Our server, security, and the hostess were all nice. However, the person inside was not. There should be an established rule that your only allowed to sit inside if you get bottle service and should be posted on their website. I don't believe it's right that management had the ability to pick certain people who can sit indoors, also what is it based off of? I will definitely not be returning.

Carmen V.

Yelp
I like how attentive everyone is at this pub. I love the fresh flowers and the friendly atmosphere...however not all patrons are very desirable and if you are in a small group of women alone you can get bothered by the drunkard of turn. Sometimes women like to gather in places like this or anywhere and not looking for attracting a male, especially not a drunk-male. The few times I have been in this pub has always been with girlfriends and always some weirdo ready to share table. NO! we love to have our beer by ourselves! Thanks for the Irish nachos (freebie when you check in with Yelp app!). A nice place to hang out in Santana Row for sure.

Theresa D.

Yelp
If you check in on yelp, you get a free order of nachos! The pink peach martini was refreshing and sweet. A few sips and my stomach felt warm 10/10 The irish coffee martini was creamy and sweet. It reminds me of kahlua bc of the coffee liqueur but the vodka definitely punches up the flavor 10/10. The crispy apple tart was crispy and tasty. I didn't try the nachos because I was full but doesn't it look good on the plate? Them using potatoes instead of tortilla chips was an interesting take, who can hate potatoes? Service was friendly and attentive. I would say the waiter came to check on us periodically every 10-15min.

Tanvee S.

Yelp
The food is a little overpriced for the type of food they give! A chicken Picatta with some basic rice was $24 which is a lot -- we also asked for a mashed potato substitute to the rice and that wasn't given, so we did not get what we ordered. Also, we had like 2-3 "servers" of which we could only order through one so it was a little confusing? The drinks were good though! One Paloma got me a little tipsy which is always fun! So definitely worth the $15 you'd pay. Pro tip: check in on yelp and you get free Irish Nachos! Basically regular nachos with sliced potato rather than fried chips -- this is definitely worth a try!

Jenny T.

Yelp
My friend and I came here on a Saturday afternoon for some drinks and snacks. The place wasn't too busy so we were seated quickly outside. Drinks: Pink Peach Martini - My friend ordered this, and I got to try it. It was delicious, and I'd definitely consider ordering it myself next time. Irish Coffee Martini - This was amazing. I am a big fan of coffee and coffee liquor, so this was right up my alley. Food: If you check into yelp, you can get a plate of Irish Nachos. These nachos are made with potatoes instead of chips, and they were delicious. I couldn't finish it all, so I brought them home to eat later. They reheated well later to eat as well. Crispy Apple Tart - This was bigger than what I was expecting. The tart was very good. The apples were a little sour which was perfect with the caramel and ice cream. Service: Service was pretty good. Our server was attentive and nice. They came by every so often to check to see how we were doing. Service staff also refilled our waters periodically. TL;DR - Delicious drinks and tasty food. Don't forget to check into yelp when you're there. I'll have to come back to try more things.

Yelp
This place is such a pleasant surprise!! Definitely underrated. Located right next to Winchester garage, so it's kind of hidden, but it's a total gem! Came here with my friends for a dinner (didn't make a reservation, but it wasn't too busy so we got seated right away). Plentiful indoor and outdoor seating available. The indoor seating was dimly lit, but the room felt too warm and stuffy to comfortably. -- Food Irish Nachos: such a pleasant surprise! Even though it's "fries" it's not like the long skinny kind. Circles of potatoes sliced thinly enough where you won't have a mouthful of grittiness (I think potatoes are gritty) but thick enough to hold toppings you want; every topping worked well with these fries--it was a good mix between fresh (tomatoes, jalapeños) and oily (cheese). Could eat by myself, but then I wouldn't have enough space for my entree. Shared with 2 others and felt satisfied with the few forkfuls I ate. Portobello Mushroom Sandwich: was debating between this and the salad and I DON'T regret going for the sandwich! The bread was slightly toasted, warm, but still soft! The cheese was well melted on the mushroom, and the veggies were enough veggies where I didn't feel like I was just getting a mouthful of mushrooms. The fries that came with it were sooo good; didn't seem like they were stale or old at all. It's not a hefty sandwich by any means, but it was still filling and hit the spot! Blackened chicken: the sauce was pretty good! And it had chunks of (bleu?) cheese. I don't remember being disappointed by the chicken, but I also don't remember wishing I got this instead of my salad. The veggies add a nice lighter taste (my friend said they were cooked well; not raw or over cooked mush). Fire Burger: my friend wanted something spicy and said this wasn't as spicy as she anticipated, but it was still really good and she enjoyed her food! Crispy Apple Pie: THIS. THIS IS IT. It was big enough to share between the 3 of us after our big meal (we barely finished it). The ice cream was a decent, almost hefty, sized scoop; strawberries added a nice, fresh taste. My friend who hates sweets LOVED this. She was shocked by how addicting this pie was. The pastry was so flaky, crispy, and warm. The apples are more towards the center and baked to a wonderful texture. -- Drinks The watermelon cocktail was sweet but not as sweet as the peach mixed drink. I love sweet, so even though the watermelon one was okay, I liked my peach one way better. The mule was also good; tasted how I expected a mule to taste.

Yelp
Do not come here and pay their worthless $10 cover charge. So far the music sucks, there's nobody on the dance floor but they were ok taking our money knowing nobody will be here for an hour. I guess I'm supposed to get drunk and try to get home later. Stupid. And their dance floor is by the kitchen lol. Sucks,

Yelp
Super cool place to hang out on late nights. Cocktails were ok but if you love your alcohol then this is the place for you. Their attentive servers is a plus too.

Yelp
We were on vacay in San Jose and got excited when we saw a pub. Beautiful restaurant. Excellent service. Great food. My hubby and daughter ordered hamburgers (at an Irish pub...jeez) and were soooo happy. Thick and filling. I ordered the shepherds pie which was delicious. I highly recommend

Yelp
Maybe it was the time that we came (12pm on a Saturday) or that we were actually looking for food, but we were not impressed. The restaurant was virtually empty (2 couples at the bar and another two people at a table, and my party of 2). The food took forever to come out, the server left us a carafe of Diet Coke so we could refill our own drinks, and the food just wasn't that good. I got the Irish nachos. The potatoes were well seasoned, but they came with slices of raw jalapeños on top, a ton of black olives, and minimal guacamole and sour cream. The potatoes were well seasoned but the rest of the dish was underwhelming. My partner got the bangers and mash. He liked the sausage, but the mashed potatoes were from a box and the vegetables had so much garlic that they were inedible (and trust me, he loves garlic). We won't go back for the food or the service.

Yelp
Went to watch the Niners divisional round victory with my son (the Niners fan). Sat outside, ate from the Happy Hour menu. Really enjoyed it.

Yelp
The food was unexpectedly delicious! The bacon wrapped parmesan stuffed prawns were orgasmic! Ambiance was nice...bar area chill and relaxed with everyone having fun while the dining area had a more upscale feel. On the fabulous Thursday it transitioned into a music filled semi club vibe. All ages were enjoying it! Malu the bartender was attentive, friendly, and easy on the eyes. Go to Rosie's!

Yelp
The place is nice but going to this place is not especially on a weekend (Santa Row). Highly recommended come early. Service is good. Food not much our steak was overcooked despite asking it medium rare. The restaurant turns into a dance hall after 9pm and the table charge is very pricey. Overall good experience.

Yelp
This is the first restaurant I went to when I moved to San Jose from NYC. I was not dissatisfied. Such a great spot on Santana Row! On my first visit I just had a couple beers. Nothing out of this world; typical pub atmosphere. The second time I visited I went for a late lunch with a friend. She got a espresso martini that was to die for! We asked the bar manager how he made it and he said it was a recipe he made up. I won't give away his secrets, you'll just have to go ask yourself! The food is exactly what you would expect. Nothing earth shattering about it. But it is the ambiance and vibe that make Rosie's so great!

Yelp
:: Pre Shelter in Place Review :: It was back in January, a group of my old co workers threw a going away dinner for a co worker of ours, who was moving out of state. Her restaurant of choice was Rosie McCann's. We had a reservation for a party of nine. Our reservation included a table in the back, which was secluded from a lot of foot traffic. When we were seated, out waitress took our drink orders. I went to order my favorite beer. Elysian Space Dust IPA. For my main course, I went with the portobello mushroom sandwich. This sandwich include grilled portobello mushroom, gorgonzola cheese, roasted bell peppers, and a side of cesar salad. This dish was very tasty. The veggies were fresh and nicely cooked. The chibata bread used was soft. The beer is great as usual. The service was great and our party had a great dinner.

Yelp
Rosie McCanns. The best Irish pub in the South Bay! And my favorite one of course! Love love love this place. Definitely THE spot for nightlife at the Row. They have a DJ after 9:30 pm on the weekends & it never disappoints. I believe last call is at 1:30 am. And they are back in full operation on the weekends now! I went there on Friday night and it was packed. I think like their grand reopening weekend? SO much fun! The DJ was playing great music, the drinks were flowing, and my girls & I were on the dance floor. Good times!! I will definitely be back. I have so many fond memories here-- spending Halloween, NYE, etc. I can't wait to party here some more this summer!

Yelp
My boyfriend and I decided to try this place on a Monday night. We originally planned to go to Maggianos but since there was a wait we ended up here instead. The atmosphere was clean and friendly, they even decorated for Halloween the service was absolutely excellent, there was no wait and the person working the bar was super attentive and very sweet. He gave us recommendations and we were always checked on. The food WAS AMAZING and way better than what we were expecting. It is a great new gem we weren't expecting to find but glad we did. :)

Yelp
Wow! Being Irish I always look for Irish Pubs. This place did it for me. Completely owns a new concept of pubs. Food and drink is epic. I really enjoyed the blackberry margarita. Try it. Also say hi to Julio.

Yelp
Had a chance to stop by Rosie McCanns for happy hour drinks and it was really nice. The outdoors here is really nice and the indoors is also very nice and comfy. It's an Irish pub so definitely good for beers - but I ended up trying the pink panther drink. This was strong and delicious - and definitely good if you like peach flavor. The others in the table enjoyed the Paloma and the sangria as well. Overall, it was a nice experience!

Yelp
Who the hell would pay $20 cover to get in here? You would have to be a complete tool. Long story short you ain't taking $20 for me to get in here.
