Three-year later update: Rosie's is nailing right now. I don't think any other restaurant in Ferndale is offering a better, more interesting menu, and the service has been spot on with friendly and prompt wait staff. Let's go right at it - Great impossible burger, the excellent chicken tenders, awesome bourbon sriracha crispy chicken sandwich, my God the tuna nachos. Every single thing on the menu is amazing. Here's something unheard of - the french fries are just as good THE NEXT DAY. Witchcraft. We have yet to test the pizza with this latest menu but I have no doubt it'll be great.
From 2018: Oh Rosie's, what a mixed bag. The food never disappoints, the drinks are reasonably priced, and they have a wonderful patio. If you like sports it's got a bazillion TVs on every wall and at the booths. The decor is well done and it's a comfortable place to hang out with friends.
On the other hand service is usually somewhere between competent and slow, and on weekends it turns into a mess. Saturdays it goes full-on club with too-loud music and incredibly irritating bathroom attendants, Sundays are salsa dancing and if you're into that it's great but otherwise it's a screaming match to have a conversation. The last issue is that the indoor patio ALWAYS smells like terrible the stale beer stink after a college kegger.
