Rosie's Pizza of Point Pleasant Beach

I may have found a new favorite pizza place! We ordered the spinach special pie and a square pie with meatballs. I love how crunchy the crust was and the toppings were all super flavorful and very fresh! Add to it the fact that they were donating proceeds to a local non profit, The Village, made me even happier to order from them. The last note is that they have epic wood and resin table and bar tops made by a local builder and Rosie's is now a top ten destination for me!!

Great experience at Rosie’s. Friendly staff, clean and pleasant seating area. The pizza tastes fresh and simple. We ordered a round plain pie and a square plain pie—the square was especially delicious, with very light, flavorful dough. Would definitely come back.

Not that great at all. Asked for well done. The crust was well but the pizza itself wasn't. Also, the cheese to sauce ratio is not good. They also charged me $1.50 for a small thing of parmesan cheese that the kid at the register told me was the "expensive kind". Lmaoo nothing expensive or different about it. Regular parmesan would be just fine and actually tastes better. They do not offer slices everything is pie only which is lame. I won't be returning.

I came here because Dave gave it an 8.5 and the hype was huge, but for me, it’s a 7.2. Great, just not fully my style of pizza. The bubbly char is incredible, probably the best char I’ve had in NJ, and the crust is thin and crisp. The cheese is clearly high quality. However, the flavor falls flat with no tang or kick. The biggest issue, is that the pie is super greasy with a heavy uncomfortable afterfeel. I think the main issue is that the sheet of sauce is dry and dead, and the flavor relies more on excess olive oil. It’s more of a guilty-pleasure comfort pizza than a clean, vibrant one, which is what I usually look for. I totally get why people love it. The charred sourdough base gives it real satisfaction. To me, Lucci’s in Belmar nails the same thin, crisp, high quality style with all the positives (plus a deeper flavor) and none of the downsides.

What a treat of a pizza place away from home! The ordering system gets busy in peak times of the year and you order in time slots. This doesn’t make it hard to order but just be prepared! The pizza has good flavor, awesome cup and char pepperoni and great sausage. We like the bay leaves for added texture and flavor. The crust is a sourdough and is truly unique. I enjoy the way it’s cooked(looks burnt but just some char that adds great texture). Juan is vital person to the business, great attitude and a passion for the pizza that they are making! He recommended the hot honey(which is local). What a game changer for the pizza! We return to Rosie’s every year we are vacationing in the Point Pleasant area. There are only a handful of tables inside and also some outside but it’s worth the stop!

Rosie’s Pizza, I love you. Hands down the best pizza I’ve ever had. I showed up about 10 minutes before closing, and the staff were still kind enough to make a pie for my friends and me. I’d travel any distance just to keep eating this pizza.

This is a great spin, close but not on the boardwalk, where you can find fantastic pizza. 9 of us went and filled up the whole place. The atmosphere is quintessential northeast pizza joint and the staff is friendly as can be.

First and foremost, best pizza in Pt Pleasant hands down. Great sauce, great crust and cooked perfectly. Pizza came out fast. Small inside and only a few tables outside, plan ahead or just take out, but I guarantee you won’t regret it. Will definitely revisit time and again.

Rosie's was our last stop to grab dinner before we drove home. it's a small little pizza counter with a few places to sit down. we ordered a round pie half pep and a meatball calzone. all i can say is wow wow wow. im not sure which one i loved more. the calzone dough was soft and fresh, cheese pull was 10/10. meatballs were tender and delicious! the pizza was cooked to perfection. firm undercarriage but not burnt, great flavor on the sauce and cheese. it wasnt quite a NY style and it wasnt quite neopolitan but we ate every last bite! great spot to grab some Za down the shore.

After seeing Rosie's featured on Barstool me and my boyfriend knew we had to made the trek out to try it for ourselves. We called ahead and ordered the famous round pie, half original and half sausage. The girl who took our order was so nice and let us know we could eat our pizza in the restaurant. There are only a few tables inside so on busy days I'm assuming it might be hard to find a spot. We were lucky and there was a table waiting (meant to be!). The staff were so friendly and even took a few pics of us with our pizza. Once the pizza came out I think my jaw literally dropped. It was gorgeous! The crust was perfect, with just a slight burnt spot here and there. The olive oil on top made it glisten and it was right out of the oven hot. Once I took that first bite the world kind of stopped for a second. This is the pizza people dream of (or at least I dream of). I literally had to savor that first bite moment (you know when you try something so good you realize how else will any other pizza compare). The crust was crunchy yet chewy, the fresh mozzarella gave it that saltiness, the basil was fresh, and the sausage was sweet. Absolute perfection. I can without a doubt tell you, you have to come here if you are in the area. Thank you Rosies, you've made us Florida peeps pizza believers!

Absolutely love this spot! Great salad, pizza and fantastic meatballs. They're the best meatballs I've ever had to be honest. They sell out quickly and so worth the try if you never had before.

After reading the reviews and watching it on YouTube, I've been wanting to try this place for a while. This place is far for us and I was worried about not being able to put in my order on time. But, it was all for naught. I had called to place my order before going here. We ended up being able to eat in. We ordered the cheese round pie, arugula and mushroom round pie and a meatball. The cheese round pie was pretty good but we thought that the arugula and mushroom pie was the better of the two. I guess we prefer toppings on our pizzas. Daughter really liked the meatball and said that it was really soft. She wished that she had ordered more than one meatball because she was done with it way too fast. LOL. Place was clean , service was nice and not hectic as anticipated. I thought that the place would be crowded with people picking up their orders or eating there. So, it was a nice surprise when we practically had the place to ourselves. We were surprised that we were able to find street parking pretty easily because we figured that it would be crowded with beaching people. Will definitely return to try other items on the menu.

Simply great ! I'm not a Pizza connoisseur but this pizza is definitely delicious. I ordered the round pie because a small one wasn't available and I was alone. I notice a few people came in and ordered the small pizza and they didn't have any. If anything, I would recommend that they have options for one or two people. Service was nice, the staff was attentive. The young gentleman at the register was very friendly. Great overall.

Great pizza! Brick oven makes a difference! The crust is amazing and really airy. Almost like an English muffin.

Not that this local pizza joint who went vial with Barstool needs more love but I had to Yelp Rosie's just because it really is that good! The pizza is amazing even when you get it to go. The restaurant is warm and welcoming and not what you may expect from your local typical old school pizza joint. Rosie's is hip, clean, friendly, and memorable. The round pie is the perfect thin crust pizza cooked to perfection! The square is just as good so light and airy and not what you expect from a square pie! I can't wait to order again and enjoy the best slice DTS!

Pinch me. Chose this place from a few reviews online. Well worth it. Make sure you call up at noon to order. It worked out perfectly. My only complaint is against myself, for not ordering more!

What an amazing experience I have have almost 30 years of experience in the restaurant industry, and I'll tell you this is a special place. They use only the freshest ingredient the best cheeses the best olive oil they even sliced garlic paper, thin and put it on the pizza with fresh basil the service was spectacular. The young man that took our order was so accommodating and kind getting ice for my bourbon in a rocks glass, the owner was there introducing himself to all the people that were ordering takeout and sitting in the restaurant we had their meatballs as an appetizer they have the best sauce I have tasted being born and raised in the Bronx. I never thought I would have something special outside of the Bronx. It was spectacular. We ordered six meatballs and a quart of sauce to go. A couple of small tables inside the ambience was very inviting the smells sitting at the table were making me so hungry !!

Rosie's Pizza is a small pizza place in Point Pleasant Beach. It has 3 small high top tables and a counter for individual seatings along the front window. It seems like mostly a take out business but the pizza was excellent along with the house salad and dressing. It's a no frills really good tasting pizza place with excellent service. Definitely worth a try.

I am a local.... and as a LOCAL have supported Rosie's from day one! I have ordered pizza from Rosie's since they opened. Not a week goes by without ordering a pie or two. Alway delicious, but lately they have been very skippy on the toppings...not that they were ever over the top with toppings but I feel we are paying extra for them each piece should have something on it.. right. The past few pies I ordered was sausage and red onion... three slices of the eight had No SAUSAGE AT ALL. Come on Rosie's you can do better than that.

Special trip to try Rosie's - we had heard about it & we were so excited to try it. We called first to see if they had seating - we were told if we got there within the hour we were good. We arrived about 1/2 hr later, so all good (we thought). Went to order & we were told that they were on a one hour break from 3:00 to 4:00 ... huh??? Why not tell us that little bit of info when we called - also why is that not listed on their website??? Silly, frustrating & just plain dumb. We left without eating, will never return & will tell everyone about our experience.

The pizza is usually slightly burnt and they tell you that up front. The crust is cooked and thin, the flavor of the sauce is fantastic, you just have to deal with some burnt areas on the top parts. It's not for everyone but I love the taste and texture of their pizza. It's also hard to get as they are often sold out for the day fairly quickly . So call ahead of time and get your delicious pizza

Best pizza in town! The crust was perfectly crispy, cheese was cheeeesing. Mike the owner was very welcoming and a good guy to know , his staff was very helpful and nice! I sat at the bar on a sunny day so my pizza was glistening as it should. I got some mushrooms on mine which was the perfect touch, the sauce was not over powering so I could eat multiple slices-- officially my favorite pizza spot.

I happened to be driving by and craving pizza after a long ride out to the ocean in the morning. Worked up an appetite for sure! Good thing I stopped by, pizza is good! Ordered a square and round pie. Both were very good but will definitely be back for the square pie! It's half the thickness of a old school NYC Sicilian slice but the dough has the right flavors.They have a light fluffy chewy well done crust. Flavors are good and the olive oil and garlic drizzle definitely gives it that extra flavor pizza always needs. Owner is super cool, will be back for sure! Sucks being in Cali for so long, so when I am back on the east coast I hit up these good spots. Fyi...Their meatball and sausage is light crumbles not sliced. You have to ask the owner for broccoli rabe & sliced sausage with olive oil & garlic, needs to get it on the menu. He said not enough people request it but it's one of his favorites too. C'mon start requesting it!

I refer to my first review of Rosie's. Read below. This small shop is destined for greatness, as it's the very, very best pizza at the Jersey Shore. The grandma pie is simply mindbendingly delicious. Watch them at work in my posted video. It's a passion and a production. Yes, in my second review, I was very frustrated with their process and early sell out, but I've learned it's with good reason. You've got to follow their process, order by phone and schedule a pickup. And if you follow their process you're in for the most amazing pizza experience of your life. Portnoy's 8.5 rating is so well justified. Congratulations Rosie's! You're #1.

Doesn't get better than this. Excellent crust and great toppings. No slop and no junk - all 1st rate. Had opportunity to try every one they make and all were over the top good. Not Neapolitan, not New haven, nor "Brooklyn" but a bit unique but among the best quality pizza out there.

I only give 4 stars cuz in years past I never had such great pizza. In the last year it hasn't been the same. For some reason the pizza didn't get the attention that it used to. Floppy dough and messy toppings. I will always give them another chance until I can't do it anymore.

A solid pizza place near the jersry shore. I called in to order 2 large pies and it took 20 minutes around lunch time. A very small walk in place,barley any seating and hard to find parking. The pie itself has flop to it but the crust was good. A thin style pizza and it was solid- 8.2 pizza rating. I would definitely go again for more.

I've heard people say it is incredible, great, every positive descriptive words you can imagine has been attributed to Rosie's Pizza. So the question becomes, is Rosie's Pizza worth the hype and does it live up to its storied reputation? The answer is a definitive and resounding yes. Look, New Jersey is a state that is known for great pizza. In fact, one magazine voted New Jersey as the best pizza in the country, beating its next door state rival, New York. Jersey has some incredible food and pizza is right up there with some of their incredible food. To say Rosie's Pizza is a great pizzeria in estate with great pizzerias, well, that is saying something. This is the kind of pizza that will haunt you at nights. This is the kind of pizza that people would consider worthy of their last meal. This pizza is simply incredible. I strongly recommend that you head over to Rosie's Pizza and find out what the hype is about. You will not be disappointed.

Best pizza in the Jersey Shore by far, if I can give this a 10/10 on here I would! The pizza was cooked perfectly, the ingredients were fresh. I had about 3 slices which I could never do normally and it was delicious!!! Go there now!

I jumped on the phone around 2 o'clock, as per their website to make a phone call for a pizza pick up around 3:30 when they opened. The meatballs alone were worth the wait. They were so soft and yet flavorful. The red sauce can practically be soup in its own right. The pizza was delicious. Classic brick oven pizza. I'd go back easily. FYI: their social distancing measures are on point. They have practically no contact with you. I love the fact that Apple Pay square is outside of the store. Great job all around.

Great pizza. No place to sit down and you cave to call early to pick up a pie later in the day but it is all worth it !! Amazing pies. Thin and crispy !!

No no no - this place is TOO good for their own good. You have to call ahead to order a pizza because they run out of dough. I didn't believe the hype at first, but wanted to try it regardless. We called at 12pm to order, and got a square pie with ricotta as a topping. They do not have anything else on their menu at this time aside from pizza and I believe meatballs. Immediately regretting not ordering 2 after I hung up. It's expensive, and I don't like the non-accessibility of it ... but oh my god. Easily some of the best pizza I've ever had. They don't have tables inside, but there is a park not too far that we were able to eat at. I hope eventually things die down and they are able to offer eating inside, without having to order hours ahead. Although it's good for business to be so busy, as a consumer, I am sad that I can't just order a pie on a whim.

Just picked up 2 COLD pizzas from Rosie's ....very disappointing. Being from out town we couldn't find the place as it was dark. Upon entering we were greeted very rudely by a young woman with an attitude. This place was highly recommended by our mother who has lived for years. Would NOT recommend this place!

Rosie's always gets it perfect! We visit the Last Wave Brewery just down the block in Point Pleasant and always bring a pizza in! Thin crust pizza done to perfection! Love it!

I have to say, there is quite a hype behind this place. I couldn't understand how anyone would call a place anywhere from 1-80 times for pizza... until now. We ordered from here the other night, had no issues getting through, our food was hot and ready in 15 minutes and it exceeded our expectations. This is the best pizza we have ever had. Period. I'll call their number as many times as it takes to get through. We also had a side order of meatballs. So delicious, the sauce was AMAZEBALLS. We dunked our pizza in it. For whoever worked the counter, I'm the one who was almost cried at the smell of our pizza!

Great flavor on each of the three pizzas we got along with the juicy meatballs. I would have lived a little more spice, but that might be personal preference.

Came here on a Friday evening @7pm with the family and the cashier woman told me they aren't taking anymore orders for either dining in, for carry out and phone orders. The tables were completely empty, I don't know if they were being honest or being discriminative but I never once heard of a pizzeria doing that on a Friday evening.

The best it's worth waiting three years to finally get to taste the best pizza on the planet Outstanding !

You've probably seen the Barstool review given here a few days ago. This also prompted me to head down to Point Pleasant to the this pizza! It's located about a mile walk from the Boardwalk, so you could make it a nice walk while you're down there waiting for your pizza. It is ONLY preorder by phone (you can pick a time if you call well in advance). There is no seating inside or outside available. A star is deducted for this. If I'm at the shore I'd like to sit at least somewhere to enjoy my piping hot pizza! We got the meatball pie, it was good, but not noteworthy. I would say this was a four star pizza, but with the whole restaurant ambiance I'd give this place a 3.

I absolutely loved this pizza. The crust and cheese are exactly how i like it. I love the touch of basil they add by default too. Highly recommended!

Fabulous pizza. Weird ordering system, but it is pretty precise. Pepperoni is amazing and the finish of basil perfect.

Rosie's is always good. I will say it's a tad annoying to have to book a slot for pickup in advance and in the summer months there's a serious hustle to get a time slot but the food is good on a consistent basis!

Tried for the first time and we weren't disappointed. Ordered well ahead of time to ensure we got what we wanted! Went square... Definitely thicker than we usually like, but it was so light and airy - not dense at all. The sauce has just the right amount of sweetness and the sausage and vinegar peppers were the perfect match. The salad is amazing. Super fresh. We really liked it a lot! We also tried the meatballs. The are quite good. Their COVID 19 protocols are spot on. Its as close to contactless as you can get. We will definitely be back to try the round pizza!

Up until recently I could say I was a Rosie's die hard fan. I thought the pizza was one of the best at the Jersey shore. The last 2 times has changed my mind. It was absolutely awful. I gave them a fair second chance. Thinking it was just an off day. But was completely disappointed the second time. The crust tasted like a sponge and the sauce had no taste whatsoever. Sorry to say they are a block away and I will not be going back home

Found out about this place recently, so naturally I had to go and try it. All I can say is that their pizza is AMAZING. Definitely worth the 15 minute drive to Pt. Pleasant to pick it up (I'd even drive up to 30 minutes it was THAT good). This is definitely one of the best pizzas in the area. The crust was the perfect thickness (not too thick, not too thin) and had the perfect chew (crunchy on the outer edge but chewy in the middle). The sauce really pulled it all together and was the star of the show, it had so much flavor that it left me wanting more. They were pretty busy when I stopped in so I can only imagine what it is like during the summer but it is most definitely worth the wait. 10/10 recommend this place.

I dont know what all the hype is about this place, im not a fan of thick doughy pizza . the crust was doughy and under cooked not crispy . and barely any sauce on it at all ,maybe it was a bad night because my son and son in law and my friends are big fans, i couldnt even eat it ,it was so dry ,thick and doughy , i felt like i was eating bread,disapointed to say the least on par with papa johns or pizza hut. the pizza i got did not look like any of the photos i see

I do not subscribe to the theory, perpetrated by some marks, that all pizza is good pizza. The combination of dough plus sauce plus cheese is mostly tantalizing, but we need no more reminders in this world that not everything is dumb-proof. Bad pizza exists, and I have tasted it. Rosie's is not just good -- it is refreshing, in the way that a great meal can make you forget for a moment everything that's going on around you. The pepperoni is exquisitely baked (which is harder than you think) and I really enjoyed it. Most great pizza places in New Jersey seem to be saturated in North Jersey (or at least by perception), but Rosie's is a welcome outlet by the beach. It also travels well. I took it to go and a half hour later it was still delicious.

Unbelievable pizza coming out of this joint in Point Pleasant. Everyone inside was super friendly from the girl at the register to the guys making the food. Perfect char and a tomato sauce to die for, you absolutely can't go wrong with the Round Pie. One of the best in the area. Looking forward to trying the square soon!

Greeted by the counter person who took our order. Typical store front ambiance. Decided to eat in the store. My wife and I agreed had to be the best pizza in Ocean County and in the top 3 for Monmouth County. Store was clean employees friendly and helpful. We will return.

I moved to New Jersey a few weeks ago and I've tried a LOT of pizza places trying to find the best. Today me and my husband had the opportunity to try Rosie's and I have to say, their pizza is amazing. It's super fresh, perfect crispy crust and amazing flavor. If you haven't tried their pizza I highly recommend giving them a try! Their customer service is okay, the guy at the front desk seemed super busy and tired; I know what I like working on the food industry and I would say no matter how hard it gets keep a smile on your face, it keeps the customers coming in. Other than that he was doing his job pretty good! We ordered inside the store and it took around 15-20 minutes to get our pizza on a Saturday.

Was at a Super Bowl party and a friend brought a pizza from Rosie's...It was the BEST pizza I have had in a long time and I'm a NYC guy

We ordered pizza here because a friend gave us a gift certificate. I wish people would stop giving us gift certificates. 20% of all gift cards and certificates go unused. They're either been lost, or people wrongly think they have expired. Businesses love that. N.J. has a law stating gift cards can never expire. They can be re-issued after an expiration date. It will be frustrating, but Division of consumer affairs can reluctantly help you with that. Make sure you first tell them you're part of some underserved group and hope the establishment didn't go out of business. A tip from your uncle Steve. We called Rosie's and THEY told us when we could pick up our pizza. You get your pizza when THEY want to give it to you and only if they haven't run out of pizza dough. All this is intended to add to the mystique of a so-called elite pizza place. Cut the crap. There's nothing special here. We ordered the round pizza with meatballs. $19.54. What we got was, a round pizza with meatball, not meatballs, because I'm pretty sure they crumbled up only one meatball on our pie. Any meatball pizza I've had in the past has been sliced meatballs and a lot more than one. Here they crumbled it like sausage on a pizza. Like how you would roll a boogie between your thumb and index finger. The pizza felt so light in the box. We actually weighed it when we got home. It weighed 22.6 ounces! Less than a 1.5 pounds. There was just nothing to this pizza. The crust was so thin, tasteless and burned, oh, excuse me, charred. But then again, the dough can be tasteless because the char is intended to take over as the flavor. We couldn't eat most of the burned crust edges because I didn't want to lacerate my gums and I love good crust. Especially a corner slice of Sicilian, as long as the crust isn't burned. There was also very little cheese on this pie. We were still hungry after eating this. It was nothing more than an appetizer. Want great pizza with an award-winning sesame seed crust that doesn't need char to cover up lack of flavor? Esposito's in Manasquan is the place. Oakwood in the borough is very good. Luigi's, still classic in PPB. Want good pizza at a bargain? Little Mia's on Trenton Ave is perfect for a group or party. They have 2 locations. Always a good sign. If you're on the boardwalk, Joey Tomatoes and Jenkinson's are outstanding, but pricey. Avoid Little Mac's pizza. Best pizza in N.J?. Benny Tudinos in Hoboken. Best pizza in the US? Italy in Epcot. We don't know why some people like this place. Are they all the beer drinkers from across the street? The same ones who like those bitter IPA's? I know the local kids hate this place. Rightly so. So many better choices.One and done.

Not what it used to be. It sometimes happens that a great place goes downhill after getting a solid review by a renowned food critic such as Dave Portnoy. They are not offering the same full service that was part of putting them on the map when they first opened. No slices..only whole pies, so if you're walking around town and are in the mood for a slice or two you won't find it here. With parking being the least convenient of all the off-boardwalk pizza places in the area Rosie's simply isn't worth the hassle for me.

Spectacular pizza, great owners fresh ingredients you can't go wrong with this place,, but scheduling can be difficult. Don't stop trying you will be glad for your persistence
