We had Saturday lunch at Table d’Hôte and were impressed by the beautiful setting. The restaurant is stunning, from the architecture of the building to the tableware. There’s a lovely balance between rustic charm and sleek, modern elegance.
We found the food to be very well prepared, beautifully presented, and focused on showcasing the quality of the ingredients. The amuse-bouche with goat cheese was delicious, even for someone like me who usually doesn't enjoy goat cheese. The fish course was perfectly executed.
Unfortunately, the temperature of the dishes let the experience down. Most of the food arrived lukewarm. The pork fat in the main course turned cold before we could finish it, making it unpleasant to eat. Additionally, the pork flavor was quite intense, though I can see others appreciating it.
The biggest letdown was the service. Aside from the sommelier (who did a great job with the wine pairing), no one seemed particularly engaged or interested in what they were doing. The overall experience felt cold and distant. No one was rude or unprofessional, but given the restaurant's reputation, we expected the service to feel more motivated and guest focused.
