Best Restaurants for Lunch in Sorrento Valley - Eater San Diego

"This beer-lover’s spot is only open three days a week at the Sorrento Valley location: Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. (The Del Mar location is open seven days a week, though.) While its main focus is house beer, the kitchen offers several options for a relaxed lunch or after-work snack including a charcuterie plate, antipasto salad, and salami flatbread." - Grace Cassidy

Didn’t get to try the food because there kitchen was closed when we got here at 7:30PM. They welcome outside food though after the kitchen is closed. They do serve food until close as long as orders continue. Bummer. I really enjoyed the apricot wundersauer as well as the amber and rye. A good sour is always great, not sweet which is a serious turn off. The grapefruit weekday ipa has strong flavor of grapefruit zest while the alemint tasted like an Andes mint. Aside from the closed kitchen it was a perfect experience. A bunch of great flavorful beers.

Happened to be hungry and thirsty after visiting the Home Depot Design Center. This is about 2 minutes away in a business park. Totally chill place with the gigantic shiny beer tanks reminding you that you are in a real brewery. If you would rather hang out with a beer instead of a latte and check out your email or chat with friends this is the place. Relaxed and friendly and good food and of course selection of BEERS.

Google
Delicious beer, great quesadilla. Came here while my tires were being changed so had some time to kill. Was greeted by friendly staff; enjoyed a flight and good conversation. Highly recommend and I'll keep in mind for when I'm in the area again!

Google
Great place to hangout with friends and family!! Went there tonight the wings and onion rings where awesome and you must try the hush puppies. Everything handmade and you can tell that there is love put into them. We came in after one of there busiest days and they where still happy to see the us and made us feel like family. Thanks you for a great evening, from your friends from Ontario, Canada.

Google
Used to come here a few years ago and everything was super hippy, like the brewer didn't know how to make beer that wasn't hoppy. So have not been in several years. Thankfully things have changed and they now have a wide variety of good beers from hoppy to stouts to sours and lagers. Definitely will be back again and thanks for finally figuring out there is more to beer than crazy bitter hops.

Google
Went here for lunch and the food is absolutely delicious. Their sandwiches are some of the best sandwiches that I have ever had. The portion size is large so you definitely get what you pay for. The space is nice and open plenty of places to sit and a several TVs in case a game is on to enjoy watching sports. the staff is really nice and the service is great. I've had their beers before and they are really good. I just didn't have them this time while visiting for lunch. If you can make it out this way, I would definitely recommend stopping by here and having lunch. You will not be disappointed.

Google
As difficult as Miramar road can be, it's worth The effort To visit rough draft. They offer an amazing Variety of beers. We visited on a Thursday And nearly had the place to ourselves. Head Brewer Dustin was especially fun fun to interact with. He is very creative, Be sure to try the Stout to Remember And his hazy IPA And his hazy IPA Animated colors. We also enjoyed their food menu, prepared on site, no food trucks. Maddie was an excellent server with additional recommendations. Go there!

Google
Private event. All food and beer were excellent, although the event planner (not the venue chef) underestimated food quantities for group. Flatbread was tasty, burger was very good even off a buffet line! Amber ale was top notch.

Yelp
Your Friendly Local Brewer. It seriously feels like a nice local place and not some corporate monster. We hold our meetups (Blockchain and Brews) at Rough Draft every other week. I can't say enough about how awesome and accommodating the staff has been for our events. We recently told them we would be having a larger group than usual. They got a projector screen just for us and even lent us an extension cord! And of course it'd all be for nought if the food and brews weren't amazing. Thank you Rought Draft!

Will J.

Yelp
Came here because I had to get new tires(tire shop next door) and needed something to do for an hour and a half. I came in and it was only the bartender in there. Carl was great, super chill and nice to talk to. He gave me some samples and helped me pick exactly what I would find most palatable. Solid experience. If I'm ever in the area and need to kill some time I'd definitely go back. The raspberry sour was 10/10

Yelp
Rough Draft, one of the microbreweries with great IPAs. Beer Choices: Plenty , ~ 30 taps *** Top 5 Beers (No-Particular Order) *** Best place, if you are IPA fan Weekday IPA (Light IPA) Eraser (Medium) Hop Therapy IPA (Strong IPA) Nitro Eraser Rye (If not a IPA fan) ***Ambiance*** Typical Garage setup with all ingredients of Miramar Brewery style. Indoor, is very tight not many seating areas. Outdoor seating is great in patio ***Prices*** Little on the expensive side for what they offer. Taster size = 4 oz. $1.50-$3, $15 for a set of 6 I paid Half pour size $3:50 Full size pour: $6 Growlers 32oz $7 + Fill Growlers 64oz $8 + Fill hydro Flask $48 + Fill ***Food*** Free Popcorn and Food trucks occasionally, the pizza one is too good. ***Try this*** Free Popcorn variety of board games ***Highs*** Nothing other than you get high ***Lows*** No Food Service could be better

Yelp
Located in a business area, decent amount of painting and wide open space with some outdoor seating as well. Served food and has excellent happy hour deals. Flat bread- doughy bread with flavorful salami and tomato sauce. They have a new selection each week. Good enough for one person or two to share as a snack. Meat pies- tried the chicken and broccoli as well as pork. Both were okay but needed more seasoning. Pretty greasy. 2 for $5 during HH Burger and fries- every Friday has a burger deal from approximately 4:30pm-7:30pm. Burger, side and beer for about $14. Burger was large, two patties but slightly underseasoned as well. Not bad but not great. Service was good and place was clean

Yelp
Like many craft breweries, it's located in an industrial park (or, as I call them, hell on earth) but don't let that stop you. The beer is definitely better than average with some strikeouts and some solid doubles and triples. I highly recommend the Grapefruit Weekday IPA (light and citrusy) and the Freudian Slip (an absolutely delicious booze-bomb masterpiece at 9.5% alcohol). On the other hand, the blond (i.e., the one in the glass) was just nasty. What sets these guys apart is their extensive in-house food menu and its family friendliness (yes, kids are welcome). In fact, the many different food offerings here is a huge attraction. The large pretzel we ordered was fresh, soft and delicious. The little cup of cheese sauce on the side was fine but pretty bland. It also comes with some tangy whole grain mustard. We also crafted our own cheese and meat board which came beautifully presented. The truffle salami was a knockout. It comes with a basket of plenty of fresh bread slices--far more than most places give out. There are lots of good things about this place and I wouldn't hesitate to come back. I do suggest they fix up the website which needs some work.

Yelp
Nice place! Food is priced fairly and worth the dime. I love that they serve wine as well! Nice choice for a small to medium group! Plenty of parking! Enjoy!

Yelp
Came here for the first time in years recalling how mediocre and overpriced their beer was. Imagine my (and, yes, shame on me for not asking) surprise when my nitro stout was $9. The menu says $7 "some exceptions" so make sure you ask! That's a bit much.

Yelp
Good beer, good friends and a great view a must try . Service with a smile and very friendly

Yelp
The first thing that caught my attention when I walked inside was the fact that they had a very large brewing room, plenty of seats to go around and a nice atmosphere to join it. I'm such a huge fan of breweries that Show their brewing tanks, it gives it such an awesome industrial style feel. I found that they had a very good selection of beers here which in my opinion is a necessity since everyone does not like the same type of beer, as far as the flavor goes I was very happy, I chose the Alemint stout , The mint definitely found its way through, Which is how it should be, if it says meant or any other flavor I want to be able to taste that coming through completely. Overall the customer service I found was very decent and I had no issues whatsoever. I was very surprised that they actually served food here - I saw burgers , cheese and meat boards and a lot more. The reason why I gave 4 stars is because there is so much room in this brewery I expected there to be pool tables or dart boards or ping pong tables or something, I just believe they should have more hands on items to do !

Yelp
Awesome brewery in the middle of a business district! I came here on a Monday night & for a Monday, there was quite a few people. The vibe was mellow with plenty of seating to mingle. The beer was delicious! I got a pint of their Blonde for $4 & it was smooth, refreshing, & light. What is that delicious buttery smell in the air? Yes, that is popcorn, free popcorn, so do not forget to ask for some when you order your beer!

Yelp
Had to pick up some Grapefruit IPA for my post NYE run. Happy New Year!!! Thinking of rehydrating after the run kept me going! Haha Can't believe it's taken me 4 years to discover Rough Draft but I'm sold! Got a Xmas 4 pack of their 22oz bottles and love the 2 I've tried so far. Can't wait to see what else RD has in store for me!

Yelp
Stopped in on Labor Day at their 4:00pm opening. Place was empty other than one other party. Tried a raspberry sour and it was really good. Sampled the tangerine sour and was not impressed. I am super sensitive to unclean taps. When bad, they tend to have an off smell. The tangerine threw up bad flags straight away with that slightly vomity scent. We were looking for some food as well, and unfortunately the kitchen wasn't open yet. We will probably come back another time since we don't live fairly close. As for the space, it was a large warehouse style brewery in an industrial park. Inside had rustic large tables and circular tables with barstools. I counted 5 large tables and 6 circular tables. There was a small seating area out front with a couple little cafe tables. Fairly large space that could accommodate a lot of people if standing only.

Yelp
Worst case of mgmt and advertising I have ever seen. The place was out of burgers listed on their Friday special menu by 6:45pm. The special lasted until 7:30. The waitress, bartender was not willing to accommodate me with other offerings of food at the same prices. Completely rude and not into meeting the customer half way , even though it was their poor planning that left them out of burgers. It is not the burger or the price that upsets me, it was to total lack of customer service. Jeff, supposedly the owner ( absentee landlord since he was not present) and Chris the mgr (also not present) might do better to be present and instruct their personnel in being customer friendly. Bottom line, if you are in SD, there are so many other places to go than this place. 2 thumbs down.

Yelp
This is one of the nicer breweries in the area. It has a decent sized tasting room with tables, chairs, and even some TVs! There's also free popcorn too. The beers are good and it goes well with the ambiance. I'm a fan of their IPA and it never disappoints. I'm always in need of some Hop Therapy. There's always a bunch of other beers on tap and they're always drinkable. Whether you get a flight, a few tasters, or a few glasses, it'll always be a great place to hang out with some friends.
google avatar

Yelp
This is a nice and beautiful brewery in the Miramar area. Their selection is nice and I honestly probably wouldn't have even known about this place if it weren't for a friend who recommended it to me and my friend. The servers here are so nice and they've got a lot to offer. I love the bar and the huge indoor space here at this location! I tried a number of drink the day that I came and can't remember any of them, but I do remember that I was a fan and can't wait to come back here!
google avatar

Erica B.

Yelp
Hidden gem if your a brewery fan. This is a small but interesting company and bar as one. You sit in the same room with the brewery. I was a big fan of the plants and succulents in the center. The beers are great too!
google avatar

Cindy H.

Yelp
Cool theme, "rough draft" like essay assignments. Menu written in chalk, and the beers have clever names. I liked their IPAs and sour beer. They also serve food, such as sandwiches, paninis, salad, and flatbreads. Check out the chalk board to see if they have any weekly specials! There's a minimum fee to use a credit card. I don't remember the amount exactly but I know it was requires at least 2 drinks to reach. Tricky tricky.

Yelp
Great place to hangout after work or even otherwise. We went on a weekday around 6 pm and the place was bustling. Though it was not super crowded there were enough people to keep it buzzing. The location like all the breweries in the area is in the industrial area. No issues with parking. Seating is both inside and outside and at the bar. Good collection of beer. It is nice that they serve food also , so you do not have to rely on an occasional food truck at the brewery or drink beer hungry. I wish they had more options in vegetarian appetizers, but its fine - I am glad they atleast had a couple. I tried a couple of their IPAs as well as a light beer - the SeaSalt Breeze - it was my favorite. Give it a try - its a nice no frills brewery. Oh and it also looked kid friendly !
google avatar

Yelp
Great Beer and good food. Check out the all day Saturday Happy Hour. Try the Cuban Sandwich and Patoto Salad.
google avatar

James B.

Yelp
Good locations and settings but unfortunately their IPAs are awful. The double IPA is watery and lacks mouth feel. There is a medicine like flavor to the three I tried. All had the same lack of body and were tough to get down. Unfortunate. Beer is not that hard to do. Fortunately there are plenty of great brewers in San Diego who do it right.
google avatar

Anna L.

Yelp
Amazing beers! I've been to a lot of breweries in and out of SD and this place has one of my top favorite IPAs. I first fell in love with their hop therapy IPA. I've since had several other IPAs and stouts and have yet to be disappointed. Just tried their grapefruit weekday IPA and it's refreshing and hits the spot ;)
google avatar

Felipe G.

Yelp
This place is great! The brewery is spacious. I was very surprised with the quality of food. It was delicious. We had the jalapeño poppers and meat pies. They were both great and definitely a step up from bar food. They have a variety of beers on tap. I tried their hazy ipa and their apricot wheat, both were excellent and I couldn't decide on my second pint so I just ordered both again. They are family friendly with plenty of room for our stroller. They also have wine if you have someone in your group that prefers wine. Can't wait to head back.
google avatar

Yelp
Fancy pants if you have been to enough breweries, you realize having chairs at a tasting room is a big treat. The tier 1 kind is like those with food too, well, at least food trucks. Rough Draft has no food offered, but at least there are chairs, bar tables, and comfy couches. You can totally take a nap on the couch after a few beers. Beer selections is kinda limited compared to Green Flash or Karl Strauss, but they have a few kinds of IPA which is great if you are a fan of IPAs. They always have this weekdays IPA, the lightest IPA that I have ever had. So don't feel bad having one with dinner on a Monday, it's justified by the name of the beer.

Yelp
Came here for happy hour with the boys. This is one of the larger breweries in the area and I really like how spacious this place is. Lots of parking out front and you don't feel claustrophobic inside. The patrons are friendly and there were some guys next to us that chimed in to our convo at times. There's a couple of wall mounted TVs and the Chargers games were playing. COOL! I ordered the Blonde pint ($4), and used my Yelp check-in offer for a $1 off. YAY! The free popcorn is a bonus! It was salty but it was perfect with the beer. YUM... The girls who worked behind the bar definitely catered to the guys. A couple of times, I felt they were ignoring me until I had to raise my voice a little to get their attention. Towards the end (when last call was communicated) was when the girls came around with a more friendly attitude and asked if we wanted anything else. Cool digs and good beer. Popcorn, TV and Chargers playing were all a plus!

Yelp
I don't always expect much when it comes to eating at a brewery but Rough Draft has a surprisingly varied menu that's filled with salads, sandwiches, flatbreads and meat and cheese plates that sound amazing. In fact, there were so many items that sounded great that I had trouble narrowing it down. I ended up ordering the club, which comes with chicken, cheddar, avocado and bacon as well as lettuce, tomato, onion, mayo and seasonings. I removed the bacon and onion because I just don't like either ever but the rest of the sandwich was amazing! The portion size is huge and I could only manage to eat half of it. The sandwich is served with potato chips, which I'm not usually a fan of, but these chips were perfectly salty. I'd love to try one of the paninis, like the roasted chicken, the next time I visit. My boyfriend and his mom ordered the Caesar and the garden salads. We couldn't believe how gigantic the salads are. It's practically an entire bag of lettuce in a bowl! Somehow my boyfriend managed to eat his entire Caesar but it was a bit of a stretch even for him. His mom took home more than half of her salad though. It was seriously that big! I'm not a beer drinker but my boyfriend tried a couple of the beers. He liked his first IPA but thought the Emboozlement was too strong.

Yelp
VIP night was a blast! i enjoyed my samples of all the beers.. My favorite of the night was the IPA ...so delish. looking forward to trying some of the newer brews
google avatar

Yelp
Great service combined with good beer Equals a good time, I really like this place. The staff is really cool and the overall vibe of this place is chill. they are on the top of my rotation for the breweries in that area. free popcorn! and various food trucks out front if you get hungry. I like all the beers they brew, so yup... I will be coming back for sure.
google avatar

Denise H.

Yelp
Yelp check in deal for $1 off a pint! I liked the kick back atmosphere here. There are a few TVs to watch sports. Plenty of bar seating, some high top wooden tables and chairs. Perk: free buttery, salty, freshly popped popcorn. Pizza by the slice is served on the hour at 5pm, 6pm and 7pm. Best part: Dog friendly!
google avatar

Joe T.

Yelp
3.75 stars for the beer. Nothing that really stands out for me. I do like their tasting room. It is roomy with large tables and plenty of chairs unlike other places where it is tight and stuffy. It is a nice place to visit with friends when beer tasting in the area. It is not disappointing especially if a food truck rolls up. They do not serve food so a visit helps to alleviate the munchies. It is a nice way to spend a free afternoon with friends. Like many of the tasting rooms off Miramar road, it may be hard to find as they are all located in industrial parks. Just look for the big sign over the door on the west side of the cul de sac.
google avatar

Nayoun K.

Yelp
I really wanted to like this place - location is great, extensive food menu, but negative first experience. Ordered at 7:05 on a Wednesday, wings and fries and drinks. A few minutes after paying, the person who rung me up came over and told me she forgot that they had run out of wings and turned off the fryer. Was a minor inconvenience to reorder different stuff, but any kind of sign or advanced notice would've been nice.
google avatar

Yelp
Friend recommended this place and I came here for lunch on a weekday and it was relatively quiet and mellow. It was pretty much go to the bar to order your food and just get your number and wait. I ordered the Grilled Chicken burger with potato chips and it was pretty good. Chicken breast was grilled perfectly (nice and juicy) surprisingly. I hope it wasn't a fluke and will order it again to confirm but so far it has left a good impression in terms of the quality of the food. It is a little pricey though at $11.50 for a Chicken burger with potato chips but at least it was good which was important.

Yelp
This place needs to either update their hours or be honest to their customers. I showed up a few minutes before 2 to be told they they're not serving food, only beer. Then when I sit down I'm told they actually close at 2. Which isn't what their updated hours say at all
google avatar

Abel J.

Yelp
Went here around noon for lunch, I must say the beer was pretty good! If you're into darker beers, definitely try the nitro stout. For food, I ordered one of the paninis (forgot name) with pork belly. The time it took to come out was quite long.. It wasn't busy when I entered, but as i waited for my food a lot of people started coming in and it seemed like they were having trouble keeping up with the crowd. Prices were reasonable and parking was easy.
google avatar

Pearl R.

Yelp
I came here recently for lunch and was beyond surprised about how good the food tasted! I had myself a Caesar salad and it was delish! Had to bring it down to a three, had the salad again and it tasted so off. Shredded lettuce and the chicken tasted so fake, like Tyson pre frozen chicken . Still like the beers here though! But skip out on the food!
google avatar

Steve S.

Yelp
Wow! Rough Draft is beer and food at it's simplest element: good beer and good food. I had the Hop Therapy Double IPA (9%!!!!) and a blue cheese panini. The sandwich had caramelized onions, bruschetta and blue cheese. It was so good I'm planning a second trip very soon just to relive the moment! The bar is in the warehouse where they make the beer. Ropes keep people away from the tanks, but it's all there! They also have some couches gathered around. Looked like some guys were having some kind of work meeting there with their laptops and work stuff out on the coffee table. I like this place because it is smaller than other breweries nearby - and of course, the beer is as good as I could ever dream of enjoying. They also have 3 different growlers you can fill - and free wifi with the password written on the chalkboard so you do not have to ask.
google avatar

Jen H.

Yelp
Checked this place out a few weeks ago and will definitely be back! There aren't many breweries in Miramar that also have an extensive food menu, but this is one of them. I came here on a weeknight with a girlfriend and we both ordered sandwiches, which were delicious, reasonably priced and loaded with flavor. We each ordered a few beers as well - the tangerine sour was delicious! - and enjoyed their diverse beer selection. Customer service was fast and friendly. As others mentioned, the layout of the place is really bizarre. It's a huge space inside with a nice patio in an industrial park, but there are no pool tables or darts or anything. But that's absolutely not worthy of removing a star because what it lacks in "fun things to do," it makes up for in seating and overall atmosphere. I'll definitely be back!
google avatar

Michelle H.

Yelp
So spacious and homey! Long tables with perky little center pieces run along the inside, and two large couches sit in the corner so you've got plenty of places to plop yourself down onto if you aren't feeling the huge bar area. They also pop small batches of fresh popcorn for you so the aroma will hit you hard upon entering and cause you to salivate almost immediately. Loved the music they had going, and it only added to the chill vibe of the place. 2 large TV's sit in front of the bar so you can sit and stare at that if you'd like. They have special casks on Thursdays, and food trucks on Fridays. Tasters are $1, but their specials are $2. I don't put their beers at the top of my list, but the tasting room is nice, and I wouldn't fight another opportunity to return either.. so yeah :)

Yelp
I've been to Rough Draft a number of times for work events where we've had one side of the brewery sectioned off for presentations and then headed to the other side for beer and food. The facilities have actually been pretty good for the presentations (we had a projector set up), but the seating is limited, so you can't have too large of an audience for a seated presentation. Service has always been great during the events as well. I was recently at Rough Draft and was pleasantly surprised that they now offer food! The food was delicious and there are a number of different items to choose from. We only had a few bites (soft pretzel, hummus, chips, bread), but they serve salad, sandwiches, flatbreads, meat/cheese boards as well. I am not a beer drinker, but because of work, I have been here a few times. This last time, I tried the barrel-aged emboozlement tripel and it was actually pretty good. It has a higher alcohol content, but I couldn't tell (maybe because I drink gin). It was very good though! Pricing for the food and for the beers was very reasonable. They also allow dogs in the tasting room. I'd definitely recommend Rough Draft if you are in the area!

Yelp
The Apricot Wheat beer is soooooo good! Always a friendly atmosphere with a wide selection of beers on tap. They also serve some pretty good looking flatbreads that I haven't actually tried yet, but I will soon!

Yelp
This place has great french fries. Great. Too bad they decided to only serve them on Fridays, when they serve burgers. Bad decision, Rough Draft. You will bake "meat pies" daily, or offer meat boards (I don't want either)....but you won't turn on a deep fryer? Also, it's silly to only have one beertender working at a time. Patrons make two, or sometimes even three, lines.....and the poor girl is trying to serve them all. It makes for a LOOOONG wait for a beer. This is a decent place but the decisions made to serve the patrons are very questionable. It could be an epic place. TURN THE FRYER ON! SERVE BURGERS EVERY DAY!
google avatar

Yelp
This place is awesome! We are very uncomfortable going to places we hadn't been before Covid. Rough Draft already had a social distancing facility so we wanted to go there. Food was delicious as always. We felt extremely safe and comfortable for our lunch visit there. Reservations are suggested via Open Table since they are currently only open 3 days a week. Located in an industrial park is this treasure! Owner and staff were constantly cleaning and aware of customers who thought they were immune to wearing a mask. Kudos to you guys! Will tell everyone we know how conscientious you are and hopefully you will be back to making money again. Only wish we lived closer so we could frequent this establishment more often.

Yelp
Rough Draft could be called "final draft" if the name were trying to represent the quality of the beers and the experience here. It is all quite polished. The large, open room has plenty of seating, and the long bar is welcoming. I was very impressed with the service. The bartender was engaging, friendly, eager to help with beer selection. The beer list is good, with a wide variety of styles and about 12 beers on tap while I was there. I tried four and rated them all between 3 and 3.5 out of 5--on my scale, that means the beer is good but not life-changing. The consistency is an important factor, too. The food on offer is good, too. I ordered two sausages from the appetizer section of the menu and it was way more than I could eat. Overall this spot is worth a visit, even with so many other good options available in "Beeramar." I am on a quest to visit every brewery and tasting room in San Diego.

Yelp
Really like this brewery! What I love (besides the beer) is the location is set up for people to be there! I love that. So many small breweries have small tasting rooms, but not so at Rough Draft. They have a decent sized bar, plus tables and even a sitting area with couches. They have some big TVs over the bar, so you can watch the game and I understand they also have a large area next door so that they can support having events at this location. On top of that, the staff was super friendly when we were there. The beers are good. Now, I was the driver and so only go to taste, but I have to say that I liked the beers here. They have a good selection of IPAs which is my beer preference, but they also have some Belgian style ales (a couple STRONG ONES) and an amber. Most of the beers here are pretty strong. They do have one IPA that they call the Weeknight, which is a lower abv, but honestly, I didn't care for that one so much. Did I mention the pricing is pretty decent and they do a happy hour style deal during the week where they pick one beer to be the beer of the week that is at a discount. Overall, I definitely recommend adding Rough Draft to your list of SD breweries to check out... of course, the trickiest part is getting there. Get your GPS out! haha

Yelp
This is the most fun I've ever had at a brewery! To start, it has a super friendly atmosphere and INCREDIBLE beer! I usually think all beer tastes awful but this place had great tasting beers!! Not only that but our bartender Izzy was super friendly and knowledgeable! Really made us feel welcome and all around made our experience 100x more enjoyable!

Yelp
Absolutely love Rough Draft! They have an amazing selection of beers for any discerning beer connoisseur. Also, the food that they serve matches perfectly with the beer. I had a grilled cheese sandwich with tomato soup. Very yummy! Eric, one of the brewmasters, was so gracious and provided me a flight of beers. He spent plenty of time explaining all the different beers and their make up. He was so friendly and informative. To be honest I'm typically a wine drinker but absolutely loved tasting the numerous beers available. I would highly recommend going to this brewery if you are in the La Jolla/San Diego area. I will definitely be back. Make sure to buy a six pack or fill up your growler for take-home pleasure. I understand that most of these beers can be bought at Vons and Cosco. I will definitely be on the lookout.

Yelp
Cool place to visit. Nice spot and like the vibe. The beers were good too. I sampled a few items, and my favorite was the Grapefruit Infused IPA.

Yelp
Yum! Yum! Yum! Yum! Yum! What a cool brewery experience and so different! The tasting room was HUGE and really inviting. It's great to be drinking amongst the multiple fermenters and to really see where the beer is coming from. We went for 10 tasters to really get a solid feel for the brewery. As I am not so much an IPA girl i was still very impressed by the Weekday IPA- it had a hop flavor but was so complex that I would absolutely order a pint of it. The Freudian Sip was also wonderful as well as the Saison and the Amber Ale. I was so impressed at the diversity here and the fact that they really use different types of fruit flavors like grapefruit and pineapple. In total we spent about $16 for the 10 tasters and split them between the 2 of us. Bonus: Free Popcorn (the salty delicious kind that goes perfect with craft beer). Also, as it was pretty busy on this Sunday they actually had a pizza company come in and sell slices of pizza for $3. If I hadn't just had lunch this would have been AMAZING! Food trucks are always great but if I don't want an entire crazy ethnically driven food truck meal a good ole' slice of pizza with a pint is the way to go! I'm very excited to head back to this brewery and have a great time!

Yelp
Too bad. I really wanted to give this place a great rating because their menu sounded absolutely amazing. It fell short. I ordered food to be delivered for my husband and I. The food was terrible. The Cubano sandwich was cold and undercooked, the Pulled Pork sandwich was bland, and the meat pie and sausage rolls, well let's just say, the sausage and the meat pie filling was hiding in pastry dough, it just didn't work. I imagine the beer at this place probably would make the food there slightly palatable.

Yelp
They have a good variety of their own craft beer, and their prices for both the pours and growlers is good. The set up of the bar could use some improvement as the line to order is currently behind and in between areas of bar seating and it can be a bit hectic maneuvering around it when they are busy.
