"A Biodynamic Lunch at Round Pond Estate Wine, as they say, belongs at the table. Yet most tasting rooms offer only the wine. For a richer experience, seek out wineries that offer food pairings or, better yet, an entire meal. At Robert Sinskey winery, cookbook author and Chef Maria Helm Sinskey pairs bites made with ingredients from their garden with the new releases of Pinot Noir and the excellent Abraxas, a blend of Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc and Gewurztraminer. Round Pond Estate takes it a step further — the four-course lunch served on the terrace uses all biodynamically farmed produce, vinegar and honey from the estate as well as olive oil that is crushed by stone just a stone’s throw from the winery."

Highly recommend a tasting at round pond. The experience was amazing, we had beautiful views, and Cruz was awesome. He really understood our tastes and recommended some really good wines to try. We were a little late to our next tasting and the front desk called them for us to give them a heads up. Excellent time at round pond.

We enjoyed our experience. We came for the olive oil tasting. There is plenty of room for improvement and they received my feedback with grace and enthusiasm which elevated the rating from three to four stars. Five stars to Guy, the reception host. My mom, who uses a walker and has mild dementia, was welcomed and engaged with respect. Wheelchair and handicap access is great, including an elevator. The estate is beautiful and my glass of Louis Bovet Cab was excellent. I look forward to returning in a few months to see if my suggestions are implemented.

Google
For a unique experience and delicious wine, this is the place to go. The view from the second floor where all the tastings are done is beautiful. If you are able to schedule the lunch and wine pairing, do it! It's an experience you won't soon forget. We have scheduled this lunch on each of our bi-annual trips to CA for the past several years and have never been disappointed.

We had an awesome visit at Round Pond. The property is beautiful, and the wines are excellent. Our host Cruze was very informative and accommodating. Round Pond is one of our new favorite wineries in Napa. Be sure to walk through the gardens!

Google
This place is fantastic. We splurged for the Il Pranzo lunch, and it did not disappoint. It started with a tour of the garden followed by a spectacular lunch featuring 4 of their wines. Everything was so delicious. Book an appointment here. You will not be disappointed!

Google
Beautiful winery, welcoming staff, gorgeous setting and very good wine!! I’m not a huge white wine person, but their Sauvignon Blanc was outstanding. We had several bottles of that and some of their wonderful reds. Their Louis Bovet Reserve was outstanding. We were sat outside and had a 10am tasting. It was a tad bit chilly so they turned on heaters above us and they also had a huge and beautiful fireplace going. Very comfortable and relaxing experience. Ricardo -our wine taster was so sweet and welcoming.

Google
We participated in the Artisan Tasting. The wine was amazing and snacks were delicious! Diane was fabulous and we had great conversations. The views from the patio were lovely and the estate is top notch. Highly recommend. We became members and cannot wait to get more exclusive wines throughout the year!

Google
AMAZING WINE, AMAZING TIME! From the moment driving in to the property and seeing the iconic round glass window panel featured on their wine bottles, all the way until driving away, there wasn’t one unimpressive moment. My wife and I checked in for our tasting and the gentleman at the front was so pleasant. He walked us up to the 2nd floor and out to this beautiful deck that overlooked the property. Our wine educator came and greeted us and began introducing what we would be starting with. He was great with discussing the history of the vineyard and how the property was sectioned off. We tried a few from their collection of Sauvignon Blancs, Chardonnays, and Cabernet Sauvignons. Their cheese and protein board paired really well with everything. Our guide invited us to take a walk along the property and explore some of the vineyard while he prepared which wines we wanted to purchase. From start to finish, Round Pond Estates was an exceptional experience! The countdown has definitely began for my wife and I to visit again and soon!

Yelp
We finally had the chance to return for lunch and wine on our wedding anniversary. Surprisingly, we were the only people having lunch (Il Pranzo) that day. Others opted for standard wine tasting, or wine tasting with amuse bouche. After Cruz, the host, poured us each a glass of white wine, he gave us a brief tour of the winery and the garden. The tasting facility and garden were very nice. The host seated us at a table for 2, instead of a large communal table, on the terrace. Menu included: 1) Butter poached halibut paired with reserve Sauvignon Blanc. 2) Roasted pork collar paired with super Tuscan 3) Filet mignon paired with 2 different reserve Cabernet Sauvignon 4) Melon bombe dessert paired with Rosato We were the first guests to be served this new menu. I would have loved to try the ravioli and scallops dishes from the previous menu as well. Chef Fernando Arias presented and described each dish. The wine complimented the food very well. Portions were decent sized. Typically a steak person, I found the filet mignon to be very good, but the reduction was a tad salty. The halibut and pork dishes were excellent!!! Not a big fan of desserts, the melon bombe was decent and not overly sweet so I ate most of it. My spouse and I enjoyed the experience. It was on par with Michelin starred restaurants.

Yelp
I went here on a Saturday to enjoy their olive oil tasting with my partner. First of all, the place is beautiful when you drive in, and the interior is very elegantly decorated and well maintained. We tasted five infused olive oils with sourdough bread, sipped italian and spanish olive oil, and tasted a food pairing plate. The food pairing plate was magnificient and really highlighted how amazing their chefs are there. However, the infused olive oils got their flavor from extracts (garlic, rosemary, basil, chili) or peels (blood orange), and I felt as though the overall flavor cheapened and overpowered the subtle and desired olive oil flavor. The spanish and italian olive oils were okay. I also was disappointed in the service. I have been olive oil tasting before and was hoping that our waitress taught us the actual technique to taste olive oil, but her explanation really fell flat and wasnt authentic. She also glazed over the types of olives whose oil we were tasting and had no mention when during their ripening they were harvested. Instead, our waitress spent an incredibly lengthy and too detailed amount of time discussing the history of the family who owned the estate. She also came to check on us so much and chatted that I felt rushed and too distracted to really enjoy what I was tasting. For the price and reasons stated above, I do not recommend an olive oil tasting here.

Yelp
Debra was warm and helpful for my first time wine tasting experience. We did the Cab sauv and the Tuscany was my favorite. Next time I'm here I want to try the 4 course dinner with wine tasting ! It looked amazing!

Yelp
Located in Rutherford, the Round Pond Winery is one of the most popular destinations in Napa. The setting that is even more magical when you sit outside on a sunny day and take in the breathtaking views of the vineyard from the patio terrace. The Eric Bovat Cabernet 2021 is a standout wine that truly captures the essence of the terroir with its earthy notes, making it my personal favorite. The Louis Bovat bottling, on the other hand, showcases the distinct characteristics of Rutherford terroir, displaying a sharp focus and finesse. With hints of dark fruit, savory notes, and well-formed tannins, this wine is a perfect balance of flavors. Round pond Winery is a must-visit destination for wine enthusiasts looking for exceptional wines in a stunning setting. Check out their culinary pairing options - you won't be disappointed.

Yelp
Did the olive oil tasting and gourmet tasting plus had wine back at the winery. Service was 10/10. Olive oils are amazing and the small bites were yummy. Great experience to take a little break from wine and learn about the olive farming and oil making process

Yelp
Round Pond has a beautiful patio off the second floor that provides the perfect environment for wine tasting. While my tasting was outside, Round Pond is not dog friendly. However, the patio does have heat lamps to keep you warm on a chilly day. During my recent visit there was a large group that was loud and somewhat drunk. The vibe on the patio was completely different once they left. My host was really kind and he even sat with me during the tasting. He spent time explaining each wine. I did the Artisan Tasting ($95) so I would have something to snack on while tasting wine. There are other tasting options that are more or less expensive depending on what experience you're looking to have. My favorite wines included the Sauvignon Blanc, Proprietary White, and the Proprietary Malbec.

Yelp
We visited Napa back in September and I am finally getting around to leaving reviews. Unfortunately, this was our least favorite winery tasting. We did the Taste of the Estate tasting out on the patio (so beautiful). Our host was Stephanie and she started out great with our first couple of wines and sugar cube/oil tasting. Then she brought out our charcuterie board (this is honestly why I am giving this review 3 stars instead of 2) and another pour of our tasting. I was swirling my wine around to open it up and kept hearing a weird clinking noise. I ignored it and had several sips, but kept hearing the same noise when I would bring the glass up to my mouth to drink. I held it up in the sun and found a very large shard of glass was inside my pour of wine (which looking back at photos you can actually see in my charcuterie board photo). Around this time was also when she started to come back to our table less and less. She was hosting us and one or two other tables outside and appeared to be hosting tables inside since she would be gone for so long. When she finally came back I showed her the shard of glass and she was apologetic and said it was "weird because the glasses are stored upside down." I'm not sure if that was supposed to make me feel better? It made it even worse that such a large piece of glass was loose in my wine glass because my actual glass was perfectly fine. She ended up coming back and asking if we "wanted to continue the tasting" (not really sure what they meant) and then brought me a new glass/pour after we said yes. She then brought out one extra pour of a red wine she thought I would like because of the glass incident. Before we left she also brought me a small chili oil for free since I had liked it during the oil tasting portion. However, later in the day (when we got back to the Airbnb) I looked in the bag and it had leaked all over the inside as if it was also broken. It almost felt like I was being pranked lol We really did like the wines we tasted and would come back just for the charcuterie board, so I would try to visit again and hope it would be a better experience.

Yelp
This was a winery I was looking forward to upon booking my girls trip and doing the research ahead of time... It surpassed my expectation. The drive to the place is picturesque with a palm tree lined drive, surrounded by the vineyard on both sides, leading straight to the tasting building. We were led upstairs for our tasting and then led outside to a wonderful outdoor deck space where a place was set up awaiting our arrival. Our tasting menu was personalized with the name of our party which was a nice, appreciated touch. Juan was our server and he was the best... taking plenty of time to explain everything, converse with us, and even took a few pictures for us. The wines were wonderful... I think all 4 of us bought a bottle to take home. I even bought a hat that was super nice and perfect for a souvenir from our trip (cork design showing the state of CA and said "State of wine"). The landscape at this winery is beautiful and we weren't even there at the most bloomed/growing time... meaning the vines barely had anything on them (April). We did the artisan tasting that came with our charcuterie. It was just want we needed as it was our 3rd winery of the day and we were needing the snacks. This place is a MUST-DO on your list when planning your trip.

Yelp
Round Pond is probably the prettiest winery I went to on my recent trip to Napa! Good: - We had a big group so we got an "event space" which was in the middle of the garden - Very good service- our server would check in on us a lot and we even got a cute brochure explaining the property and the history - Nice views and so pretty - lots of photo ops here for our group - The person who didn't drink in our group got a nice charcuterie board Bad: - Only 3 wine tastings for the whole tasting - it's one of the most expensive tastings too so it felt more like we were paying for the views than the wine Overall I still was a huge fan and would come back sometime!

Yelp
One of the prettiest properties in the region. The wine matches the beauty of the grounds. I really enjoyed their reserve cabs. They paired it with an excellent charcuterie board.

Yelp
Beautiful estate. Attentive staff. Delicious, well-balanced reds. Would highly recommend.

Yelp
Came in a Saturday afternoon for the Portfolio Tasting and was provided great service by Cruz. The grounds are beautiful and the weather was perfect to enjoy our tasting on the lovely patio. Besides taking us through the great wines, Cruz also had great dinner recommendations for us in both Napa and Sonoma. Highly recommend.

Yelp
AMAZING Service, charcuterie board and host! This was our first tasting in Napa Valley. Well they set the bar so high not even a castle had a chance with us haha. Guy that checked us in I already ready reviews about how cool he was and yep he was AND he noticed by husbands Paul Evans shoes from Italy! He loved them. Okay so I'm the the host it was Evan! Evan took his time explaining all about the delicious wines. No pressure to buy but just you can tell he loves what he does and we'll Round Pond is very lucky to have him. The service was impeccable! The charcuterie board came with AMAZING tasty food I was really pleased and well so were our taste buds. Even the older gentleman at the other tables walked by and told us we deserved our day and was just so kind. The ambiance was so perfect, what a perfect day! You must come but beware that this 5 star tasting will set the bar SO high. We can't freakin wait to come back!! Thank you so much Evan!

Yelp
It was a beautiful day in the Napa Valley so we went to Round Pond for a tasting. We were greeted by Guy and Jeanie, both very personable and genuinely glad to see us! Seated on the patio, did a beautiful tasting. Guy had a charcuterie board sent to us! Joe was our educator that day, very knowledgeable and unassuming. All the staff are very friendly and service oriented. We have many choices in Napa Valley and this is one of my favorite spots. Must try.

Ron H.

Yelp
Friends of ours made reservations for the four of us to taste olive oils. The olives are all from their estate and crushed on on equipment from Italy. Amazing fresh pressed virgin oils in four different flavors. I joined their club and will receive oils every four months. Love it.

L L.

Yelp
We researched and booked the Round Pond Olive Oil Tasting for two on a sunny weekday afternoon last week. As the only two guests, our host was patient, knowledgeable and service-oriented. However, the value of the experience is extremely overpriced! We experienced a 10-15 minute tour, followed by a giant basket of bread and ~2 ounces of olive oil (in total, 5 flavors and 2 foundational oils) for $60 PER PERSON. We have enjoyed olive oil tastings around California including the well-awarded tasting experience at the Ojai Olive Oil Company and the amazing guest experience at the Sanger Family Tasting Room in Solvang. Round Pound pales in comparison. In fact, we had more oil offered in the samples while simply wandering around the Olivier store in downtown St. Helena. This was a poor use of our time and money. We do not recommend and will not return.

Yelp
My girlfriends and I went here for our third stop of the day and it was so disappointing. We got sat at the wrong table with the wrong menu and I had to call it out - they didn't notice. Our waiter didn't explain any of the wines and disappeared for a long time. It was the most expensive tasting of the day and was absolutely not worth it. Would not recommend at all.

Yelp
Great experience at the Round Pond Winery & I highly recommend this place!! From the check in to the seating, it was wonderful. The feeling of being welcomed and I just loved the warm hospitality. Our server was very knowledgeable and took the time to explain the grapes grown on the property up to how and when they are picked and made into wine. The view was so breath-taking!! We sat upstairs near the fireplace -so picturesque !!! The board they brought really complimented each wine that was poured. A great experience and we highly recommend this place.
google avatar

Yelp
Beautiful estate with delicious wine to boot. We enjoyed our tasting on the outdoor patio with the gigantic fireplace and a view of the vineyard. The charcuterie board was to die for! I especially loved the guava jam made from guava on the property! Our host, Roxanna, was a rockstar. I've never learned so much about wine and how to sniff and sip it from vario parts of the glass for a completely different experience with the same wine!

Barry E.

Yelp
Horrible tasting for the four of us that cost $60+ per person. Server was inexperienced and the wine selections were low end. They had the nerve to tack on a hefty service charge as well, for nothing. Not even a tour. We paid $100 earlier in the day at Staggs Leap which was very worthwhile and impressive,,educational, and the wine selections were top shelf and generous The included tour with a highly trained guide and the food were excellent. Avoid Round Pond.
google avatar

Yelp
I have loved their wines , so was looking forward to going to the winery and doing their tasting. It is not anything special.... And quite pricey for 3 wine tasting that they offer. The person attending us was friendly.
google avatar

Megan S.

Yelp
Visited for a tasting for the first time and was so impressed with the ambiance, service and the wine. The standout for me was the charcuterie platter. Their estate honey was amazing and loved the olive oils and cheese. The staff were warm and welcoming and so knowledgeable about not only Round Pond but the local history! Thoroughly enjoyed our visit!
google avatar

Yelp
We enjoyed the artisan tasting here very much! Harry was our super enthusiastic host who provided a lot of information about the winery and the many wines we got to try! The charcuterie board was great and of the wines we tried, we especially loved the reserve Rutherford Cabernet! The Sauvignon blanc was also great and I'm looking forward to trying more of their wines to try in future shipments! The setting and tasting room was also very nice with great views.

Jessica M.

Yelp
It was the 2nd day of our annual girls trip. We decided to do something other than wine tasting. It was such a treat to have an olive oil tasting. Jeanie was our olive oil concierge. She was knowledgeable about how the oils were made and was welcoming. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there and I'm happy to say that I now have an olive oil membership.

Yelp
My bf and I came here a few months back for our 5 year anniversary and we had such a great experience thanks to Juan that we became members! We took my parents and my sister here this past weekend and Juan was our wine guide again. Not only did he blow away my parents expectations, he also set the bar for the rest of our day. The rest of the wineries we visited to pick up shipments from seemed lackluster compared to Round Pond. We booked the artisan tasting for a group of 5 and they were able to seat us on time. The charcuterie board that came with the tasting was amazing! My mom really enjoyed the cheese rubbed with espresso and lavender so we had to pick some up on the way home. My sister isn't a huge fan of reds so Juan was able to accommodate that by switching to white wines but then she ended up stealing some sips of my red wines because they were kind of growing on her. As for my dad, he was just super impressed with the views the tasting area offered so he was constantly taking pictures. What really drove Round Pond home for my parents was the extra olive oil tasting at the end. My parents are morning olive oil shot health benefits believers and loved the rich olive oils they tried so we ended up leaving with 2 bottles of olive oils as well as a few bottles of late harvest sauv blanc and our wine shipment. Overall, I am super happy with Round Pond and I love that my family enjoys it as well. Round Pond carries the only reds I will drink, my fav burrito place is really close by, and Juan is amazing as always. Thanks for a great time!

Fred G.

Yelp
Outstanding service. Great wine. Good food! If you get anywhere near this winery, you've got to go all the way to the tasting experience!
google avatar

Jessica M.

Yelp
The property is absolutely beautiful. It's a perfect winter retreat that offers a balcony sweeping view of the valley and a cozy fireplace to keep you warm. There pricing is mid range for a tasting but well worth it. Most importantly, our wine pourer was absolutely the best. Dani put all of her heart into being as sweet and personable as possible. Rarely will you have someone take the time to sit and chat with you while you taste and sharing many laughs along the way. This is not the typical snobby winery that only cares about you if your walking out with a case. I will be returning!
google avatar

Derek D.

Yelp
I've been to 15-20 wineries and tastings in Napa and this has been by far my favorite experience. My last visit here was 2017 and I did olive tasting across the street. Scott Tracy is the best sommelier I've ever had the pleasure to be around and to help my learn more about wine. Every time I come to visit Napa round pond will be first place on my list every time. Thanks Scott and the great people at round pond for making my experience great.

Yelp
We had such an excellent tasting experience here! Our server was fantastic and so much fun. He was so knowledgeable and able to answer our myriad of questions. The wine was delicious. We particularly loved the Sauvignon blanc and red blend. Perhaps one of the best parts about this winery as well is the incredible views!! There are great views from the patio where you taste the wines as well as from the grounds themselves which you are able to walk around. After visiting other wineries, we definitely realized that this amazing view was really unique!!
google avatar

Yelp
Guys I joined a wine club Had an amazing time spoiling my parents who were in town at round pond. We got there a little early and took a walk around their gardens which were a bit sparse given November but still really lovely. The upstairs tasting patio has this amazing fireplace that makes it so cozy. We did the tasting with artisan cheese board and holy mole was it fresh - the local cheese, fruit from the garden, charcuterie and crackers I think made my moms day- and we were there for the wine! The wines are a nice mix of white but mostly reds. I enjoyed every wine I tasted but the left bank red blend the most! Given this is on the second floor, there's a nice view of the valley. We stayed for like 3 hours lol but never felt rushed. Very nice server/wine specialist.
google avatar

Rich B.

Yelp
Wines were superb. Service was superb. Views were great and the tasting house (also where they make the wine) is gorgeous. Our server gave us a private tour of the property and it was overall a wonderful experience. Nothing but positive things to say about Round Pond Estate. Definitely worth checking out.

Yelp
Stunning estate, another one of my top favorite wineries to visit in Napa Valley. You get the red carpet treatment here. Talk about breathtaking views of the Rutherford farm and winery from their gorgeous tasting terrace. After the warm and inviting tasting of vino, our docent and Chef Eric Maczko transported us in a red Chevy truck (Greased Lightning lyrics played in my head) over to the Olive Mill to learn about cultivation, harvesting, and methods of olive oil production. We were led to the tasting room to experience a unique tasting of oils and red wine vinegar blends. This experience tantalized our taste buds with aromatic citrus oils. We broke bread at the table and shared mouthwatering dishes. The stellar hospitality made my birthday a memorable one; it was truly a special day. Round Pond Estate offers a one-of-a-kind experience. In wine country, it's not always about the wines, olive oil extraction/production is also a big deal. Loved every moment of it! 'Til we meet again ~ cheers & see you on Yelp (SYOY)! P.S. I'm glad I crossed paths with one of the kindest, finest & nicest human beings Chef Eric Maczko - RIP!

Yelp
Upon entering the winery, we were greeted by the friendliest and most inviting host we have come across in our travels. We were led up the stairs onto the patio that overlooked their beautiful vineyard where we were then passed onto our tasting consultant Juan. Juan was a spectacular host who was all smiles and genuinely displayed passion for the industry as he shared stories about the valley and the winery's proud history.  The hospitality showcased from Juan and staff made us feel not only welcomed but like family.   The grapes in the wine we tried were all estate fruit that was sustainably farmed and hand-harvested. To ensure quality, blending and bottling is also done by hand. The result? Truly remarkable wines that were opulent, delectable, and very well balanced. We started off with a Sauvignon Blanc that was fresh on the nose, delightful, easy drinking, and perfect for the warm summer day (it was 87). Then we moved onto the Reds that certainly lived up to the hype of the Rutherford region.  The Reds exhibited rich characteristics of complex fruits with alluring aromas that captured our intrigue on wanting to taste more. Overall, this is a 5 Star establishment and I would highly recommend making a reservation to savor Round Pond's wines that embodies the essence of terrior-inspired Californian winemaking philosophy.

Yelp
Five stars for Round Pond Estate! We wanted to have a nice relaxing day in wine country, so we chose this winery for its amazing views and great wine! Upon arrival we were greeted by friendly staff. Tastings are on a beautiful high balcony overlooking the estate's vineyards! The view was amazing! Our tasting menu also came personalized with the party's name on it. Juan was our server and he was amazing! He was so knowledgeable about wines, the history of the estate, and the surrounding area. He was really personable and made our visit so much more enjoyable. We made reservations for the artisan tasting, which included a wonderful charcuterie board. Overall, we enjoyed our experience at Round Pond and are looking forward to sipping the 2017 Louis Bovet Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon we purchased!

Yelp
I visited on a Saturday during COVID for the Portfolio Tasting Experience with my family. We made reservations earlier in the week. Everyone was extremely personable and friendly the second we stepped in. Wine tasting (and I think all other tastings) take place outdoors on their 2nd floor balcony. There's plenty of covers and heaters so you don't get wet if it rains or cold. Every table is pretty spaced out. The view is also pretty great. We received menus that were personalized to our party. Our server, Juan (I think) was fantastic and attentive. He talked about the history of Round Pond Estate, which we appreciated. He also handed us a small pamphlet that provided more information about the winery. Our total came out to around $43 a person for 3 wines. All three wines were delicious. I'd have to say the 2017 Louis Bovet Cabernet Sauvignon was my favorite (and coincidentally the most expensive haha). I would totally visit again and am interested in the olive oil tasting next time.

Yelp
Gorgeous property from the driveway driving in to the spacious outdoor, vibe chair to the vineyard, beautiful landscaping, and that positive vibes the moment you get here. Round Pond Estate offers award-winning wines over the decades! Beautiful Sauvignon Blanc, excellent Cabernet Sauvignon and Bordeaux style blend, now they make Italian varietals such as SuperTuscan style wine, Nebbiolo too, as well Syrah and others. Wonderful service by our host. She was amazing, even in 95 degree heat, wore mask, practice social-distancing and still do gracious. We are greatly appreciated that. Not a dog-friendly estate unfortunately, but we have a service dog/medical alert so it was ok. They offer club member, you have special access to different wines, you can get to wine taste in their roof top, and much more. Love their charcuterie and cheese plate, it was delicious. We truly enjoyed our visit, even during this COVID-19 pandemic challenging time. APPOINTMENT ONLY! So plan ahead, come with an open-mind, leave your yelp-elite-entitlement at home, you will have a great time! No offense :-) Wine lovers, you will appreciate this place!

Yelp
known for their reds!! visited with a white wine loving group and our server, evan, switched our tasting to align with their tastes. evan was so knowledgeable and attentive. the vineyard is beautiful! patio outside is shaded with umbrellas to keep you out of the heat!

Yelp
Gorgeous estate In the Rutherford region. Juan was our wine guide for the day and was both knowledgable and a delight to share experiences with. My husband and I enjoyed the gravel series tasting which was phenomenal! The once luncheon that is served during covid only once daily is something we wished we had booked! The olive oil tastings are also phenomenal and something you don't want to miss! As our second visit to round pond we thoroughly enjoyed our tasting and have become members and will frequent again soon!

Beautiful location & setting. Service is great. Wine is good, but overall a bit pricey.

Yelp
We have never encountered an individual as condescending as the elderly gentleman who was attending to the front desk. His demeanor and attitude conveyed a distinct message that admission was strictly reserved for those with reservations, implying that we were not welcome.

Yelp
It's our first time to visit Round Pond. We were there for the artisan tasting. What a wonderful experience! The winery is beautiful. We heard that The garden was pretty but we did stop by because it was quite hot the day we were there. Delicious wines. They have a proprietary red with 40+% petite Verdot that is interesting but uniquely good. Our host Josh who is a Napa local is very knowledgeable and hospitable!

Yelp
Let me preface by saying the wine and the views and the experience at the vineyard was great; it was really the scheduling and customer service that's flawed. My fiancé's 30th birthday was recently in which I set up 3 wineries for the day. I set up our visit with Round Pond via email and when I asked the associate what the total cost would be my email went unanswered. So the day of they had nothing on the books for us and had to seat our party inside not getting to really experience the views of the estate. While there we wanted to all share a cheese plate and when we inquired about it all we were told was that they had one cheese plate... that one cheese plate cost us an upgrade and inadvertently costed $125... The experience was enjoyable but the lack of transparency in costs and then to email the vineyard about all this with no response is a little disheartening. It's honestly enough for us to not visit again the next time we come in town.

Yelp
Might be the best wine tasting experience my girlfriend and I have ever had in Napa Valley! Stunning location and delicious wines. The customer service is fantastic. Highly recommended!

Yelp
We absolutely love this winery! Not only are the wines amazing, the views are beautiful and the staff is so welcoming! Peggy is who signed us up initially and we absolutely adored her! Since becoming members we've had the pleasure of being hosted by Victoria who has always been so amazing every time! You can tell everyone that works here truly loves their job, and the family they work for. My husband and I really value wineries that greet us like family and remember us each time we come, and this has become one of those wineries for us. I have enjoyed each encounter, with Victoria, Juan, Deborah, Stephanie and Guy! I highly recommend them, all the wine is delicious!

Yelp
I cannot say about good things about this winery. It was our first time visiting Round Pond Estate and definitely won't be our last. From the estate, to the service, to the wine, everything was so enjoyable. We did the artisan tat sting with 6 people. We ended up all buying bottles to go. We even brought up the fact that we would like to try the olive oil, low and behold out comes our host with the olive oils! I'm gluten free so they made sure to bring me gluten free crackers that were really tasty! Really sad we don't remember our hosts name, even though he memorized all of ours!

Yelp
Wanted the tour to be a little more informative, but was a decent experience with entire family.

Yelp
AMAZING QUALITY & EXPERIENCE: All staff at the Round Pond estate are extremely friendly. When we arrived for our food & drink pairing tasting, there was a table set on the terrace just for us with personalized menus (including our last name). Although a small gesture, This was a very nice touch, and foreshadowed the personal and intimate experience we ended up having. Our host, Kenn, was very knowledgeable but approachable. He did an EXCELLENT job at describing why the foods we were tasting hit so perfectly against their respectively paired wines. I did a few food/wine pairings while in Napa, but this one remained the most memorable for the truly outstanding combinations that made me more of a believer in the art. As an added bonus, The grounds were absolutely gorgeous.

Yelp
First off, lets talk about the winery. It's one of the most beautiful entrances of any winery in the valley. It's not over the top, but tall, palm lined road that heads straight to the winery is an amazing entrance and a subtle mental note of "I have arrived!". Due to COVID, I really haven't spent any time inside the winery or the wine bar, just kind of walk past it to the huge covered timber framed patio (with heaters for the cold days and umbrellas for the warm ones). A portion of the patio is uncovered and has beautiful views overlooking their vineyards and has a huge gas fireplace for those really chilly winter evenings. Second, the wine. They have a couple whites (sauv blanc) that are incredible. Fresh, bright, crisp and ideal for any summer day. Their reds are big, chewy, tannic, age worthy reds. All cab based...give them time in the glass and enjoy the flavor as it evolves. Most of these reds will age over the next 15 to 20 years. Price you ask? The wines are not inexpensive per se however, in this region, their wines are more economical than many of their neighboring wineries and provide excellent QPR for age worthy Napa cabs. Lastly, the staff. We belong to a fair amount of wineries and have visited many wineries in Walla Walla, Willamette Valley, Napa, Sonoma, Santa Barbara, etc but only join a wine club if the wine is excellent BUT, the experience must also be. I cannot attest to all the staff but my assumption is they are all excellent. There is a very unique culture here that is laid back and the hospitality is second to none. It's not stuffy, but rather fun, relaxed, and interactive. Upon entering the winery, you encounter the BEST HOST I've ever come across, Guy. Guy is a wonderful human, friendly, funny, witty and a helluva character. He passed us off to Juan our tasting consultant for the day and let me tell you, this guy knows his stuff. He's a real study in wine, wine making, and the Round Pond history. He is one of the best tasting room people I've ever encountered and is flat out a fantastic dude. The entire hospitality we encountered at Round Pond made us feel not only welcomed, but like family. Wine is all about using your senses; sight, smell, and taste. Round Pond also completes the experience with senses as well with their winery, their wine and their staff. Sitting on their patio looking out at their vineyard, drinking their superb wine, and being taken care of by their staff will not only make an incredible experience for you, but also lasting memories of your visit here for years to come.

Yelp
First of all, I know it must be difficult to run a business these days- especially one this big and multifaceted. First, several positives: wines were terrific. Tasted five: two SBs and three CS/CSblends. All were excellent. Greeter at the door was ebullient and welcoming. Grounds were beautiful. However: The person assigned to our group was completely uninterested (TSTL) and so "on script" that we couldn't engage her in ANY conversation whatsoever. I mean, NOTHING. So completely devoid of personality, she was the exact opposite of the hospitality that we experienced at six other wineries we visited. As a group of eight who shelled out over 1000 dollars for five pours and a charcuterie plate, we expected a smidgen of personality. Alas, none was provided. I'll keep buying the wines, but will not visit there again.
