Round Rock Donuts, IMHO, is an iconic yet homegrown business that has flourished in every way. Let's get into one of my favorite donut spots of ALL TIME! ---- Pros: - The dough tho - The drive-thru is fast - Very fresh and warm - No gimmicks; Focused on taste - Two locations Side Notes: - OG store opens at 4.30 AM and closes at 6.30 PM - Cedar Park (CP) opens daily at 5.30 AM - Check times for CP location for closing times (Varies) - They do custom cakes, too (order) What We Got: - Dozen donuts (we chose vs assorted) - Donut holes (glazed) ---- Design/Space: We've been to both locations. The OG location in DT Round Rock has seating, but it's always busy. There is not much to see, but it feels like every other donut location. However, the drive-thru line keeps it moving (a well-oiled machine) at both locations. Drinks/Food: Round Rock Donuts stands out immediately for its signature golden-yellow color, which results from using fresh eggs in the dough instead of artificial coloring (winning!). Each donut is hand-rolled, cut, fried, and glazed, which gives it a distinct, pillowy texture--light and airy inside, with just the right amount of chew. The classic glazed donut, eclair, and chocolate-iced donut are the favorites. They are served warm all day, and the glaze adds a delicate sweetness without overpowering the dough's rich, slightly savory flavor. Round Rock donuts melt in your mouth--soft, fluffy, and never too sweet or greasy. The taste is balanced, with a subtle depth that differentiates them from mass-produced donuts. Whether you go for the original glazed or one of their chocolate-iced or filled varieties, the focus is always on freshness and simplicity, letting the quality of the ingredients and the traditional recipe shine through. Staff: The staff was friendly and kind when you drove up or walked to order face-to-face. The Cedar Park location doesn't have an inside store you can walk into (the OG location in DT Round Rock does), just a drive-through (two lanes) and a walk-up order window. They serve up great donuts and have a positive attitude. Opportunities To Improve: The coffee game could improve, but you go there for the donuts. They are great there. Also, we're all human and prone to mistakes, so double-check the order to see if it's assorted and large. There have been a couple of times when I didn't get a specific donut that we ordered. It's not a big deal as it's an outlier, but it can happen. ---- Summary: Round Rock Donuts is a true local icon, known for its signature golden-yellow donuts made with fresh eggs and a focus on quality over gimmicks. Had a great experience here this morning!! When we first went up the window, the girl was so kind and got it to us promptly after taking the order! We got back into the car we wanted merch and there was a man at the window who was equally as kind!! Would recommend this to anyone because not only was the service great but the food was amazing!!

Good donut shop! We tried a little bit of everything: cake, glazed, eclair, apple fritter, kolachi. All were very good! Recommend Round Rock Donut when you’re looking for doughnuts in Cedar Park!

Great variety of donuts and kolaches. The iced coffee was strong and good. They have shirts too. They have outdoor seating and walkup ordering as well as drive through.

New location closer to the house and it’s so good. Always fresh and consistent. Awesome customer service and I love the large sausage cheese kolache.

I had the BEST experience at their new location in Cedar Park. Susie was exceptionally friendly and provided great service. I did not get the name of the man who helped serve me but he was incredible as well! It was the BEST Bavarian cream filled glaze donut I have ever had in my life!

I love donuts, and I hadn’t had a Round Rock Donut in over 20 years—so when I spotted one near our hotel, I knew exactly what I was having for breakfast. I’m not sure how they do it, but these are hands-down the best donuts I’ve ever had in my life. They’re perfectly doughy without being chewy, and absolutely bursting with flavor. I made the mistake of buying a dozen thinking I’d bring some home… but I pigged out on the drive back and only had one left. They’re that good. You seriously can’t eat just one!

Love their donuts, but this last time we didn’t order a dozen and they put the donuts in a bag. 1 chocolate, 2 strawberry, and one regular glaze = one big smoosh. The kids were really disappointed to find out their donuts had merged into one big lumpy monster when we got to the park to eat them.

IYKYK What is there really to say about Round Rock Donuts? Love the cinnamon rolls, bring your appetite. Wife loves the bismarck. Great staff. Caught it at the right time, so I didn't stand in line at all. Drive thru was a different story.

If you haven't heard about this donut place while visiting or if you live in Texas you're missing out. This is definitely one of Texas's famously known donut places. This particular location I ran into one of battle buddies at the VA. Miraculously we had VA appointments on the same day. So my buddy Lu was like let's go hit up Round Rock Donuts. I honestly thought he meant the downtown location but it was literally down the road from the Cedar Park VA Clinic. We order some donuts to go and a small coffee for me. My donuts were so delicious and I enjoyed the cup of Joe. The coffee was delicious and not too hot and not cold at all. For being an outside place for the customer experience, it wasn't bad at all. You have coveting when you're ordering. I am definitely looking forward to more future experiences with this place.

I love Round Rock donuts. I've been a long time customer for more than a decade. Their donuts are delicious, and the price for a dozen is a steal. I also enjoy getting their kolaches. Their donuts are so unique because of the color from the eggs in the dough. Most recently, we bought donuts because we wanted local flavors for our wedding. They literally FLEW off the donut wall and were an instant hit with our guests. My only regret was that I didn't buy enough!

I am so pumped to have a RR donuts in Cedar Park! Why? Because the original location has lines out the door and cars idling in the drive through FOR-EV-OR (Sandlot voice). Round Rock Donuts are known for their orange color, which comes from the fresh eggs used in their batter. The bakery has been using the same ingredients and recipe since 1926, and the donuts are made by hand. The great glazed donut isn't the only sweet thing that this bakery has to offer, but it's certainly the one thing that piques the interest of first-time Texas visitors. In reality, Round Rock Donuts has more to offer than just donuts and coffee, and everything they're placing in their display case is worth the trip. It's a cliche phrase, but everything is bigger and better in Texas. It's true for our ranches, towers, high school football stadiums and even our donuts. And in line with the 'bigger and better' moniker, Round Rock Donuts is known for the Texas Sized Donut that has really created a buzz outside of the state. Many people come from all over just to have a donut that is literally the size of their heads. These donuts are by far superior to any donuts within the Central TX region. #supportlocal

Great tasting donuts! They are freshly made and come out hot. The glazed donuts were sweet and savory. Overall, it's a solid donut place and worth trying out.

There is so much more behind these AMAZING donuts!! This is a mom & pop local establishment and not only are the owners proud of that but so are the employees. They won't take tips. Why? They are proud to tell you it's because they LOVE working there and the owners take care of them. In a city where other companies lay off their long term employees right before retirement (think DELL, a once local company where service years USED to mean something but now folks are laid off after been there for 25+ years with amazing performance) without a blink.... Here at RR donuts they have a growing local company, on food network many times, and whose employees are speaking about the establishment with pride saying how long they have worked there and they don't need tips and don't want locals pushed out or anyone feeling like people are nice just for tips. They don't just say it, it is consistent every single time through ACTION. At RR donuts everyone has service with a smile and with extra goodies in the bag. Because the owners do the same for the employees. They look after their people. Not because they have to (any company can make $$$ and be cruel) but because they are just kind people who like to bring smiles to their customers and because they love their job. On top of all this, they have delicious coffee (please don't sleep on their coffee as you will be missing out) and of course amazing donuts!! I come here all the time and get donuts & the coffee carafe for visitors, construction working on my house, friends, family visiting. Thank you RR donuts employees and owners for never changing your core values and company mission & ethics!! It gives some of us old timers continued faith in a world where longevity, loyalty, and service are long gone!! The best donuts in town. So excited for their second location. It's a game changer. And it's always so quick. If you never had a RR donut just try it. Classic glazed. Can't go wrong there. And it's so cheap compared to other donut locations. Everyone here is so friendly. Their drive thru has two lanes so it moves fast!

Pretty standard donuts for the most part, but they have more off days than not compared to others in the area. The apple fritter today is literally a 1/4" thin. They constantly forget items in your order too. If you get kolaches and donuts, you'll get one but not the other.

Service was amazing, the person that helped us was super sweet. Prices were amazing, seating area was great too. One of the best parts about living in NORTH Austin's suburbs. These donuts are made fresh daily and they are hot when served. Don't let the color steer you away. They are more yellow than white. When you bite into them, they just melt. The cinnamon roll is another one of our favorites as it's a large size for a very reasonable price. Plenty amount of icing and can definitely be shared amongst two (if you rather). Their frozen coffee is also good as it's the right amount of sweetness . Personally, never had a bad experience. The workers are always friendly in the service fast.

First time coming here in a looooooooooooong while.. service and taste of food ABSOLUTELY AMAZING and just like how I remember it. T h ey don't have an inside area: thats for the workers. But they do have an ordering window where there's options of donuts displayed for your taste us to water over. And you just pick and choose what you want. We got maple iced, glazed, strawberry sprinkle, Bavarian, and two more others.. love how its so fast and easy to buy and eat your donuts and love how friendly the staff is :)

This was my first time visiting this location and it was a wonderful experience. The staff was very friendly and took my order easily. And the donuts were hot and delicious! And they do offer military discounts! I will definitely be back for more.

Went donut shopping while in the Austin area. Found good spots: Round Rock and Shipley's. I guess not being a local I'm a bit confused about the orange glaze on lots of their confections, but that's OK. I'm (senselessly) a Bronco's fan so I've got a preference for that color. We only go to the Round Rock location but we're in Cedar Park for an appointment. Just like the OG, this place delivered! We ordered the usual chocolate custard and white cream filled donuts and added the Texas-Sized donut for my son's birthday. He was ecstatic and it was gone in a day! Highly recommend A+++

The donuts were really good but The kolaches were amazing!! They were soft and warm. We went through the drive thru so not sure of service inside but the girl who took our order outside was nice.

The products from this donut shop are really really good BUT you don't always end up with what you thought you ordered. Check your bags and boxes before you leave. Today we ordered the same items as we did last time and the fruit kolaches are DELICIOUS!!! Last time we got some fruit filled dough (like a Bismark) but no frosting or powdered sugar and they were a big disappointment. Brought it up to a manager today. The Round Rock donuts (glazed yeast donuts) are served warm -omg they are scrumptious - and so are all of the others we've tried. The kolaches with the weenies inside are also very good and served warm. Even though the order gets goofed up it's usually a tasty surprise!

Absolutely great donuts! Mine where nice,fresh, and warm. Lots to choose from. The coffee was OK, had a different aftertaste to it but not bad. Wait, time was approx 10min. The shop looked nice and clean. Staff were friendly. Great little town to visit with lots of historic buildings and history. The Notorious Sam Bass met his fate here, and a plaque stands in the park where he died. This town has several places to eat as well. You can't go wrong with roundrock donuts for sure! Enjoy!

I've been hearing so many great things about around Rock Doughnuts and I finally got a chance to visit their Whitestone Blvd. shop yesterday. This location serves more as a grab-n-go, drive-thru type of place and I love the fact that it is much less touristy and no need to wait in lines. We ordered half dozen of the holes and two regular hot dogs with cheese. The hot dog bread was not particularly impressive but the doughnut holes are sooo good that I regretted not getting a dozen or more right after we left. I also saw their famous giant doughnuts on display. I'm not so much of a sweet tooth but would love to get one and share with friends or family some day. This store is well managed and very clean. I love the beautiful grass around the shop and the floor to ceiling display windows. The service is also . The guy opened the window and greeted us as we approached the "place order here" window, and he was very helpful in terms of explaining the menu and offering advice. Will come back again for more mini holes

I love how fast this location is! They have two drive-thru lanes and every time I've gone, they have people walking through the lines to take orders quicker. My favorite donut to get is their blueberry cake donut and I recently tried their seasonal red velvet cake donut. I don't taste a difference between this and the original location, so if you're already around Cedar Park, this spot is faster and just as good!

It was a spur of the moment trip for breakfast. Sick of toast or oatmeal at home. A short drive and no line at the drive-thru. Going off my memory of their menu, I order a chocolate glazed donut and regular plain kolache. The two order lines merge into one pick up window. So I had a short wait then it was my turn. After paying and getting my bag of goodies, I head home. The kolache was still warm so I ate that first. Must admit, this was a very good kolache. The sausage was spicy and the bread was sweet. Prefect match. I wish they had the plain in a jumbo size but jumbo only has sausage and cheese then the sausage and jalapeño. After a little wait, I gave the donut a try. Very chocolate tasting. Donut was soft and pillowy. It was good. Truthfully I liked the kolache better.

Perfect service. Perfect donuts even close to end of day. 10/10 would recommend. Ambiance is just normal donut shop but very clean and modern! Loved it as a whole!!!

Yum yum!!! I was comparing these donuts to VG donuts in Cardiff CA. I never thought I'd find a good comparison. VG's is still my favorite but you just can't beat the service here!

Yum! Round rock donuts in Cedar Park! This is NOT a drill people! There has been a long awaited moment for us CP folks and the day has finally arrived. On opening day, the line was going down 1431 and backing up like crazy. We swung by 3 days after opening and there was no wait! We drove up to the drive through on this cold ridiculously winter weather, got our order put in for a dozen original, yummy goodness of donuts, and voila, donuts! It took alll of 5 minutes to get in and out a little after noon on a Thursday and we were so excited. A dozen is under $10, so now that you know it's a bargain, go get yourself some! :)

These are very good donuts. The color of the icing on the glazed had me with a bit of trepidation - but the taste was great.

I have to give a 'shout out' to this local business. Nearly all of central Texan residents will tell you that their donuts are out of this world. I whole-heartedly agree. But I have to say that their customer service is outstanding! Yesterday Saturday, Jan 6th, my wife went through the drive-thru to get donuts and kolaches to bring to our grand daughter's Sat morning swim meet. When we arrived at our grand daughter's swim meet, we realized that our order was shorted the kolaches we ordered. My wife convinced me to give them a call and see if they would make things right. I didn't think they would do anything for us, since we drove away without confirming our order (which other establishments say you should do). I called and Michael answered my call. He was so very pleasant, nice and understanding. He told me I could swing by to pick up the missing order. If I called before I got there, he would have the order ready. We weren't able to make it back to the store until nearly 3 pm. Not only was Michael true to his word, but he threw in some extra kolaches just for our troubles to come back and their mistake. Now this is customer service above and beyond!! This is one of the best experiences we've ever had!!!! Thank you for serving our community RRD! You're the best!!!!!!

Heck yea! Round Rock has two walk up order windows and a drive through. I walked up and ordered a cold brew, small cheese and sausage Kolache, a glazed donut, and a strawberry Kolache. The bread on the sausage Kolache was fluffy and soft. It came out warm and just perfect. I can't wait to come back for another one! The glazed donut and fruit Kolache were good, but not outstanding. I washed it all down with the cold brew which I heard is made in house. It was good!

Have been stopping by the treasure for years. Has never disappointed. Once again half dozen glazed and half dozen chocolate. Man they are the best. A must stop when in round rock and now cedar park.

Omgggg... hands down the best donuts I ve ever had! So fluffy and light and yummy and doesn't make you feel bloated like how a typical donut does . Doesn't give you any heavy feeling and is just so light and airy . Can eat it everyday for breakfast but have to watch the sugar consumption ;) must try for Austinites.

I'm a Sunday morning regular at the CP location of RRD and have been noticing a trend toward heavier, greasier donuts over the last few months that has been disappointing. But the real deal-breaker came today (on Sunday @ 7am) when they told me (in addition to being temporarily out of most cake donuts) they no longer serve blueberry cake donuts in the mornings. Permanently. Sorry, what?! Please reconsider this terrible decision!

This was my first time going to this location, and it was just as good, or even better, than the location in Round Rock. I've lived in Cedar Park for 25 years, and I've always hated having to drive half an hour to get the best donuts in the world. Now, I can drive just ten minutes and get super fast drive-thru service. I can also say that the recipe is as consistent as ever. Super Yummy! I didn't have a chance to go inside to the main dining area, but I'll make sure to do that next time.

We are very loyal to our doughnut shop back home. We usually never find a doughnut that is anywhere as good as the ones at home. These glazed doughnuts matched the ones back home. That is saying a lot. They were warm and very good. We ordered a lot of different things though my fav was the glazed. If you are near here stop by, you will not be disappointed. The woman who served us was so nice and helpful. We had an all around great experience.

The staff are some of the nicest people you will ever meet! The donuts are perfect every time and they are just like the round rock location. This place is much bigger than the round rock one, they have lots of space and fun activities. The price is sooooooo reasonable! We always come here when we are in the area. (They often give us extra food because they are so nice) 10/10 would recommend!

Came here on the recommendation of a local. Then found out Yelp had recognized it as the best donut place in the whole country. They have both yeast and cake donuts, so there is something to satisfy you no matter if you are on team yeast or team cake. I'm on team yeast btw. I got the world famous glazed. I let my friends try it, and we agree that it is the best glazed donut we have ever eaten! Very soft and nice and warm! I also tried the double chocolate cake donut on the recommendation of a staff member. If you love chocolate, and you love cake donuts this one is for you! My friends let me try their cinnamon rolls, banana muffin, and a sausage kolache. The cinnamon roll was nice and soft. The kolache was like a pig in a blanket but softer. The cinnamon roll and kolache were standouts. The bathroom was nice and clean. 99 cents donuts. That is awesome value. Way cheaper than the donuts where I am from and way better. The staff was very well trained. The manager was very nice and came out to check on us. They even have corn hole for you to play while you are waiting and water dishes for your dog. I bet this place in great for picking up stuff for a staff meeting. An excellent experience all around!

Having a location with in 5" of leaving our subdivision could be down right dangerous! Everything at the Cedar Park location was in replica of the " one and only"! The glazed donuts ate that buttery golden color and of course they come drenched in chocolate too. The jelly donuts-right along with the cream filled ....come stuffed so you will get some in every bite. They have several varieties of cake donuts- cinnamon, blueberry, plain as well as some iced. All delicious. They also have plenty of Kolaches and Sausage Wraps. Last but not least don't forget.... if you really want to impress- get one of their giant donuts it will feed a lot of folks and it's just plain awesome to see such a giant donut laying in the box, bigger than one's head!!! my husband loves just surprise our granddaughters with these!

Great to see a new branch in Cedar Park. The quality of the donuts is same as the original location. This will be our regular Donut - Coffee date place. The location is very central and close to other great food spots like the Torchy's. So, grab some tacos and finish it with the donuts!

Not as good as the original location. The service is great, but the food is not consistent. Sometimes it is fresh and awesome, and sometimes it tastes like it was made yesterday. Still enjoy the place, but if you can make it to the original, highly recommend going there instead.

Okay, I'm a donut-a-holic and being a Northeast girl you know I'm die hard Dunks through and through, but I gotta say... RRD had me impressed!! It took me some time to come around to them because the first time I tried one of their donuts it was old and the frosting kept falling off and I did not understand the appeal. Fast forward to the opening at Cedar Park and I was RIGHT ON IT. Love me some classic glazed. Super airy and light, you could eat at least five and not feel the guilt until you step on the scale in the comfort of your own home (considering throwing mine out due to my donut addiction) but that's okay because I know I'll keep coming back for more. Bavarian creme filled and cinnamon twists were right on point too. I had a positive experience with low wait lines and chipper staff. Overall, go get you some donuts! And if you don't, then you will most surely see me there!!

Welcome to Cedar Park! We are extremely glad this location is now open and we no longer have to drive down to RR to get their glazed donuts. Their hand rolled & cut yeast donuts are so darn gooood and addicting! They have cake donuts too and kolaches. If you're a first timer, don't skip their original regular glazed donut, it's pillowy soft and delicious! Tip: Expect the line to be crazy on weekends!

Super nice and amazing tasting donuts! Loved coming here with my family while I was visiting! Next time I am in town I will stop on by!
