We have visited Round Rock Honey 🍯 and it was AMAZING! 🤩 Konrad and Elizabeth shared their vast knowledge and experience of honey making. We have learned plenty about bees 🐝, their customs and lives. Journey of discovering new honey flavors broaden our tastes - I would have never guessed that Spicy Honey is soooo delicious! 🌶️ It is a perfect Texan gift! 😃 If you are interested in doing something educational with your family or fiends you definitely should put this place on your map 😁

My son and I had such a great time at Round Rock Honey! The tour was fun, hands-on, and taught the kids so much about bees and honey making. The owner could answer every question! Everyone was welcoming and clearly passionate about what they do. The honey itself is incredible — pure, flavorful, and truly local. A must-visit for families!

Google
Went as a double date to do the honey tour. The owners are incredibly sweet and knowledgeable. The honey tasting was great and all three flavors are incredible; so much so that we bought a mixed case to share the bounty. Watching the processing of the honey into the jars was pretty neat as well. We bought the jars we put into the assembly line. I highly recommend doing a tour and buying their honey. When they reopen the beekeeping classes we may be doing that we well. A wonderful experience, a great company, amazing honey, and great owners. Highly recommend.

Google
We went here on Saturday on a field trip with our coop group. I loved getting to meet the owners they are very friendly and knowledgeable about their honey and about their bees. We leaned a lot we didn't know. We would love to have bees someday soon so it was very helpful for us. We got to sample all their honey flavors and got an amazing deal on a case of honey! Y'all need to go it was very informative and the honey is so delicious!!

Google
This tour was great and the owners are super nice. I learned a lot and tasted all kinds of honey and it was good and the orange cinnamon honey is great. So you can buy from grocery store but the orange one you have to get from them . They are very knowledgeable about there product and the bees make it naturally sweet and the videos and all was a good education on the whole process. Great outing for family and all .

Google
We visited with our Girl Scouts troop and loved learning about bees and the honey making journey. The owners are so kind and knowledgeable, aside from the honey itself being fantastic. They have several great varieties in stock.

Yelp
In quite an unsuspecting little area. Husband and I attended their honey house tour on Saturday for something fun and informative to do. We learned a lot! And we got to sample the different varieties of their honey! We even got to do a side by side comparison of their Texas honey vs a honey made in Mexico. And I gotta say - Texas honey ALL the way. I was blown away by the different flavors. Madagascar vanilla made with REAL vanilla bean BLEW my mind. Best honey I've ever had thus far in my life. Their orange and cinnamon was a close second. And of course just simple regular honey was eons better than the competition I tasted. And you can only buy those diff varieties there at their factory location! Husband had a great time, really made his day. I def recommend taking this tour if you want something cool and educational to do on a weekend! The tour is really affordable so that's also a nice plus :)

Yelp
If you can get in for the tour, please do..it's super cheap and very informative. You can also get a special bottle of the honey from the beehive they take you through the process with. I especially enjoy their whisky barrel honey, it's a bit pricier but robust in flavor. I love that this is a very family oriented business and enjoyed hearing about their evolution. I wish them continued success.

Yelp
Just had an amazing and very informative class from RoundRock Honey at the Culinary Institute of America campus in San Antonio. There were multiple samples and the lecture was fantastic.
google avatar

Maggie H.

Yelp
We took their tour yesterday. It was informative and fun. The group was a mix of ages, all equally fascinated. While learning about bee keeping, we sampled 4 different types of honey, each more delicious than the last. Thanks to Conrad who did our tour. Your passion came through during the experience and the honey was lovely!

Yelp
We love Round Rock Honey. We used to buy from Saturday morning market but now we order online. The delivery is always so fast. We buy their largest bottle and it's a deal. Last time we ordered, we tried their sample set including bourbon barrel honey and orange cinnamon honey. Both of them are good but I like the bourbon barrel one better with coffee.

Yelp
My family & I enjoyed a super informative tour with tastings. Love this family business

Yelp
Konrad, Elizabeth, and the whole RR Honey crew are a true asset to the Round Rock community and central Texas beekeeping. The honey is amazing (try the bourbon barrel aged.. it's awesome!) and the tours, tastings, and classes are highly educational.

Yelp
I discovered RRHC via Groupon, and I'm now a fan of their product! It's very worth your time to stop by for one of their tours, which are surprisingly popular. The tour starts in a classroom-like setting where you get an 8-minute video and then a lecture on both the nature of honeybees and how the hive is structured. It's quite informative and I liked it, though it did seem to drag a little, so if you're under 12 you might get restless. After that, you get to go back to the bottling machine and they walk through the process by which the honey is collected and filtered. It's a pretty cool setup, though the day I went was riddled with odd mechanical mishaps; a compressor that kept going off during the lecture component, a labeling machine that didn't label, and hold-ups on the bottling line. Two notes/tips for the visitor: 1) If, like me, you suffer from apiphobia, then be warned that there are a lot of bees around the company's store and tour area. They are not aggressive and are actually a little honey-drunk, as they're attracted from miles around by the delicious honey smell. So just chill out and leave them alone, and you should be fine. 2) Do not, unless you are the Fantastic Four's 'Human Torch', sit towards the end of the front row on the left side of the room (as you face the TV screens). The AC vent blows directly on you when you sit there, quickly giving you the experience of a steak when you toss it in the freezer. That said, I love their honey, which hasn't had all the pollen and other goodness cooked out of it like regular store-bought stuff. So...five stars for the product, three stars for the tour, averages out at four stars. Check it out if you're in Round Rock and want to dip your toes into melittology!

Yelp
Most educational tour and delicious honeys! My favorite is the Orange & Cinnamon. It's delicious!

Yelp
Had a great time today at the Round Rock honey tour. I wasn't sure what to expect. The passion for honey is so apparent. There wasn't a lot of glitz but well worth the time. I learned more than I ever imagined about bees and honey production. Left with 6 lbs of honey and excited to try it. I'm sold on their story and look forward to my morning tea with round rock honey.

Yelp
Our family went on the bee tour on Saturday around noon and it was a packed house. So packed we had to stand against the wall in the back. My husband and I didn't mind but our two boys weren't thrilled. The tour was about an hour in a half, an hour class on how the bees work to make honey and the last 30 min we we're shown the room were the honey is processed and packaged, followed by a tasting of there three honeys they make. There honey is reasonably priced but I would invest in a case that that they offer because the price is very good and honey goes fast so definitely worth the money. We bought the orange cinnamon honey super good! All in all it was a fun little field trip with the family. I wouldn't recommend little kids under 5 but good for the older ones. We will be back for the 2-3 hour class on bee keeping!

Yelp
DISCLAIMER: This review is for the Honey House Tour ONLY I did the Honey House Tour this past Saturday via a Groupon I had purchased and I have to say I was very underwhelmed by the content. Where the content of the tour and tasting were lacking, I will say that the owners and staff were very courteous, so this review is not a commentary on their quality of service or the caliber of their honey. That being said, the tour takes place in their bottling warehouse and there is a quasi-classroom feel to the rows of foldable chairs (there are more comfortable chairs in the back for those with a disability and pregnant women) and the owner does a little opening spiel about RR honey, the drought, their production, and then you watch an 8min video about how RR Honey got started and info about their hives and the quality of their honey. Then one of their staff did an awkward presentation about the bees themselves and what the difference is between a worker, drone, and queen (you could tell he was nervous and it was rehearsed). Then, the owner talked about how the honey was made. While somewhat informative, the delivery was the issue. With there being a lot and I mean A LOT of young kids in the audience, they need to pep up the presentation and either make it more interactive or do an FYI that the presentation is "lecture format". Honestly, I felt myself nodding off a couple of times and getting antsy! After that, they took us into the bottling area and showed us how they bottle their honey. There were a few bees flying around the bottling area, but we were assured they were non-aggressive as they were "honey drunk" bees that had followed the honey brought from the hives. If I am being truthful, following a honey drunk bee try and figure out why it couldn't access the honey it was smelling from the stainless steel tank was the most entertaining part of the tour. The tour went over the allotted hour and we were still in the bottling area; I had made plans right after the tour so I had to leave. I was a little disappointed that I was going to miss the tasting. Thankfully, the owner's wife had come out w/a tray of small spoons with honey on them. Again, I was underwhelmed that this was the extent of the tasting. I don't know what I was expecting as I'd never done a honey tasting before, but surely for $20 ($8 for the Groupon) it should consist of something a bit more substantial than a small plastic spoon of honey. The honey itself was phenomenal and you can buy a bottle directly off the line (freshest) for $10 or in their shop (the pricing might be in one of my pics). But, honestly, they really need to look at revamping their "Tour & Tasting" because I can't see paying $20 for what I experienced. In all honesty, I was disappointed I paid $8. I think the owner and his wife are running an awesome honey business and you can definitely taste the quality, but as far as spending the time and money for the Honey House Tour I did, I cannot recommend it. I think my $8 would have been better spent buying an actual bottle of honey or bee pollen.

Yelp
Best honey I've ever had! (Oh Bother!) Ahem. "Second best honey I've ever had." * * Only because I remembered there's another honey I might not get to taste again if I don't say this.

Yelp
I took a beekeeping class with these guys, and they were so great! I learned about proper hive maitenance, what bees like to eat, conditions that make them happy, and all kinds of useful stuff about having an apiary. They took us out to the country, where we saw their hives, stacked 4-5 tall in the middle of some field. They outfitted us with those cool suits and helmets so we didn't get stung, and we got to poke around inside the hives! They're full of great information, and have a bunch of honey products for sale at very reasonable prices.

Yelp
If you want real Texas Hill Country honey.... This is your place. The honey is harvested right here in the hill country! Great for use in recipes, or as a natural remedy for allergies! This stuff is the real deal!

Yelp
We picked up some Round Rock Honey at the Keller Farmers Market (http://www.yelp.com/biz/keller-farmers-market-keller). It's pretty good as far as local honey goes and way better than ANY non-local option that you might be tempted to buy at the grocery store. Thuy thinks it's a bit sweeter than the Father's Bees Local Honey (from Colleyvile), and I can definitely taste a difference (perhaps it's because Father's Bees is unfiltered and uncooked?), however either is fine with me. Another nice thing about the Round Rock Honey is that you can save more money by buying the larger sizes. The prices are as follows: 8 oz = $6 16 oz = $10 32 oz = $17 48 oz = $21 64 oz = $25 Gallon = $50 As you can see, if you use a lot of honey, the gallon size is half the price of the 8oz size, on a per ounce basis.

Yelp
The best honey ever Works with everything. Morning tea..lemonade and then some. ..best of the best.. any recipe that requires honey this label the one to use *

Yelp
Picked up a few bottles of honey Some early holiday gift shopping also purchased a Groupon tour, 1 hr mini educational with short video and 3 presenter's discussing honey & bee's which followed by having assembly production seeing how honey gets bottled also some honey sampling. Cute place! If your looking to get detailed information best you take a class not a mini $8-$20 Tour. We enjoyed it for holiday gift shopping and supporting local business and learned a little more. It was the bee's knees

Yelp
Quick story, I purchase Bee's from round rock Honey, I had moved. Left them untouched for more than 8 months, I just give them water. Open the hives today, they were full of honey and tens of thousands of bees. Incredible genetics, thank you Round Rock Honey. I assume that they all were going to be dead after that week of freezing temperatures and I have done anything with them for more then 8 months. Allan

Yelp
Awesome tour!! Very informative with regards to bees and the honey making process. The honey is incredibly tasty as well!!

Yelp
The best local honey I've ever had! Why would you ever buy nationwide honey when you can have delicious Round Rock Honey? My favorite things about Round Rock Honey are as follows: 1. Home delivery. 2. The 2 lb jar has a nice little pouring top. 3. The very large bottles are made out of glass, so you can reuse them. 4. Delicious rich flavor and texture. 5. Easy to get! (On their website, at the Farmer's Market, People's Pharmacy, and elsewhere) 6. Helps a boatload with local allergies.

Yelp
UPDATE- The situation was never resolved. I simply can not recommend it to anyone as a result. (this is now Oct.) I want to clarify that I paid for this honey at the time of the order on their website. It's very disappointing to have to downgrade this to one star but they have left me no choice! Their communication is nonexistent and the promise to deliver hollow. My card however was successfully charged. Buyer Beware!
google avatar

Mike G.

Yelp
This review is for the Bee Keeping Class (Intro class). I purchased two tickets from LivingSocial for the class, it was 3 hours, 2 hours are lectures on Bees, and last hour we drove to a field and the instructor demonstrated how everything works. It was awesome! We really enjoyed our time! If you are interested in Bee Keeping, take the class, it was tons of fun.

Yelp
I knew nothing about this company until I saw them on GroupOn, as I am not a big farmers market person. I purchased a tour package via GroupOn and recently completed the tour. I am extremely impressed. These guys are doing great work and the tour was worth the drive and effort. Konrad, the owner and tour guide, did a great job giving an high level overview of the operations. You get an overview of the bee, how they get the honey from the hives to the bottle. You even get to see them fill some bottles. I got to understand the brand I see in HEB, which is not local honey but bottled by this group. Entire tour is easy and about hour and half. You sit for most of it while watching a video and listening to Konrad. Then you stand for about five minutes while they put a bottle down the line. If you are good and don't touch anything you get a sticker. You also learn the "correct" way to taste honey! Afterwards you can purchase honey, T-shirts, etc. The place is in sort of in a strip mall warehouse building. It is not by itself. The have a sign on the street and then look for the VW van! I enjoyed it so much I have now signed up for the bee keeping school. Maybe I will ask how to get some hives on my land in Llano county for the ag exception. Overall, a great time. I took my 80 year old father and he enjoyed it as well. Konrad did a great job. Great local product. Tours are only on weekends and start early evening.

Yelp
Growing up my grandparents had beehives on their property. I have fond memories of chewing on fresh honeycomb oozing with raw honey. Recently moved from CA to Round Rock, I was looking for a local honey for all our needs. We eat it at least once a day for our oatmeal. I found Round Rock Honey at the local farmers market. I was delighted to find that upon first taste, I could almost feel myself at 8 years old (kind of like that scene in Ratatouille with Anton Ego). Round Rock Honey has the best flavor. Very distinct. We absolutely love it. What's best (after quality, of course)? The home delivery! I ordered honey the *DAY BEFORE THANKSGIVING* and I was surprised to hear my doorbell ring merely an hour after I placed the order! Fantastic! The employees are always cheerful!
google avatar

Ximena S.

Yelp
We love Round Rock Honey! Their honey is delicious and because it locally "made" we have found it to work incredibly to help my child with her seasonal allergies. My little one won't accept any other sweetener now in her oatmeal. We have visited their warehouse and market displays and have always had very good experiences with all the people who work at RRH. Two thumbs up!

Yelp
Nice place to stop and try the different flavors of honey. The soaps smell wonderful. Friendly staff.

Yelp
Tastes Amazing!! Always Fresh, completely local. No other honey compares- and It also helps with allergies. What could be better than that!?

Yelp
This bottle of goodness has been keeping my allergies at par for the past 4 years! I really like the taste and can honestly say it has worked miracles for my allergies!

Yelp
So unhappy with this company. Gave them ample opportunities to rectify a complaint I have. We found them at a local farmers market. We are avid honey consumers, using it on cereal, yogurt, in coffee, et. We pride ourselves in buying local to help our Austin economy. We started buying Round Rock honey last year. Every other month we purchased the largest container, a 12 lb for $55. Lovedddd it! Until February. Bought another 12lb at the farmers market. Took it home and after using it a month the remaining half hardened. We tried everything. Soaking it in a tub of warm water. Putting it in the sunlight. It was impossible to get it out of the container to use. We would break wooden spoons trying. So I took the half used container back to the Sunday Farmers' market. Talked to the Round Rock Honey Rep. She took the half full container from me and said she would talk with owners and try to not only get it replaced with a new full 12lb but she would have it mailed to me. She took all my info...name, address and phone. That was 6 weeks ago. After giving it 2-3 weeks I emailed the company explaining everything, thinking maybe they lost my contact info. Heard nothing back. I tried calling. Each time leaving a voicemail No returned calls. I returned to the farmers market the last 2 Sundays and the booth isn't there. So I'm thinking I have to let go of the thought of replacement honey. Extremely poor way to conduct business. Especially with a local loyal customer. I decided to go on to yelp and read reviews. I'm not a big yelp reviewer but I'm so disappointed. I want to give others a heads up. Not cool. They lost a customer. :-(((

Yelp
This is just the greatest company! I visited their warehouse on Jan 7 and had the best experience. The employees were great, gave us a little tour, and took the time to answer all mine and my mom's questions. I will definitely be buying my honey from Round Rock Honey from now on. And if you live in the area they offer free delivery! Can't beat that!

Wade S.

Yelp
Went and got some honey today. Already used it tonight on chicken and fruit. Very tasty! Thanks so much for the local honey!
google avatar

Roger M.

Yelp
My family bought Living Social vouchers for the factory tour. Very informative and educational. My kids had a great time learning how honey is made and bottled.
google avatar

Craftie C.

Yelp
I love this stuff!!! Best thing is that I can buy it by the gallon (for cheap) off their website and they deliver it straight to my front door! How FAB is that??? Best thing EVER I tell ya!!!! And yeah, I meant gallon- it lasts 4-6 months in my house with just me and my hubby. You'll love it if you try it.

Dianna S.

Yelp
We love Round Rock Honey. Even love that when we cannot catch them at our local market they will deliver to our door! Great service and wonderful local honey!
google avatar

Jo M.

Yelp
We discovered RR Honey at the downtown Austin Farmer's Market and are still amazed at the consistent quality of the honey and service of the company. You guys are the best! We love that you deliver AND that you recycle. With a family of five, we buy the gallon jugs!

Terry W.

Yelp
This review is for the bee keeping class. This class contains very basic information and is not worth the $125 per person. I understand the class is for beginners but for the price It would have been nice to get a guide book, printed FAQ, or at the very least a small sample of honey at the end of class. For the information we received I would understand if it cost around $80 per person. We were talked to for the first 2 hrs and our questions were answered, but there is just too much information on bees to go over in 2 hours. It felt more like an educational tour and bee viewing rather than a class.
google avatar

Kit G.

Yelp
This is the best honey I have ever tasted! Free delivery to my house, locally sourced honey, a business with honesty and integrity? Who could ever want more? I AM A FAN and will NEVER buy honey any where else! THANK YOU, ROUND ROCK HONEY for providing such a great product to our community!

Charles H.

Yelp
Tour was interesting and informative. The owner is very knowledgable about beekeeping and honey making. All honey is not the same! He recounted many amusing anecdotes about his 10-plus years in the business. The tour we were on was a little over-booked, but they were able to accommodate seating.
google avatar

Will R.

Yelp
Tasty Honey.....The Very Best! I like to pour a little Round Rock Honey in some Cold Whole Milk and have myself a Real Treat!!!...kind of like a Honey Shake!!! Other Honey just does not have the same Rich Sweet Taste!
google avatar

Mary M.

Yelp
I live in Round Rock and have been buying honey from Round Rock Honey Company for a couple of years. They deliver to your door (locally) and you can also walk in to their office to purchase. They are at every farmer's market in the area and the honey is so sweet, thick and delicious I get all 11:00 o'clock-ish just thinking about it. Think I need a cup of tea....

Dianne H.

Yelp
EVERYONE should try Round Rock Honey! When I haven't found it in the store I can find it at the local farmer's market. The last time I purchased was at the Round Rock Farmer's Market and enjoyed visiting and learning more about the owner. Love it when business owners are involved in giving back to the community they live in! Since SF beat Dallas Cowboys I am sending a jar to a friend in SF as a congratulations. They should be able to enjoy it in SF, Ca. too! Dianne H.

Yelp
We LOVE Round Rock Honey!! Their honey is delish, reasonably priced and they even hand deliver it! The last time we ordered it it was still warm when we got it - now THAT'S fresh from the hive! :) THANKS!
