"When in search of a good cup of coffee, this local coffee shop is always a dependable option. Expect classic coffee drinks like lattes and cappuccinos, with the option to punch up the flavor with homemade syrups like lavender, white chocolate, and hazelnut. Along with its muffins and pastries, $6 breakfast tacos are on offer and made fresh with super soft tortillas and stuffings like potato, egg, cheese, bacon, and sausage. If you stay multiple days, you might see the same familiar, friendly faces from town enjoying a morning brew." - Brittany Britto Garley

Stopped by on our last day of the Round Top Antique Fair. Lovely little place, super popular and delicious food! Might be a little long on the wait in line but worth it.

Made the wrong turn off the road on the way to Austin and was blessed for it. Round Top is such a great town. This coffee shop was amazing. Everything we had was phenomenal. Coffee was incredible but the Caroline the owner was the highlight of this experience. Conversation was very rich.

Google
Review update, the Round Top Coffee Shop (originally called Espressions Coffee and Art) is still THE coffee shop in Round Top. Along with good coffee, tea and hot chocolate, they have juice , soft drinks, muffins and pastries. And they still have absolutely the best breakfast tacos in Fayette County. During the week the crowd tends to be mainly locals, except during the spring and fall antique shows, on weekends everyone goes. Great Coffee, good food, fair prices, clean restrooms and fine people, can't ask for more.

Google
What a cute place! Adorable porch, very nostalgic and cozy interior decor. We got Pumpkin Latte, Iced Mochas, and Texas Pecan coffee, and a few Pumpkin muffins. Everything was delicious, and had rich flavor. The owner is super sweet and welcoming

Google
A cozy atmosphere with delicious coffee + pastries. I tried the Florist, which had a distinct vanilla flavor. A lot of coffee shops have vanilla syrup that just tastes sugary, but this added a subtle sweetness that tasted really nice. I also tried the blueberry muffin. It was moist and full of berries. Also had a subtle sweetness that tasted really good.

Google
This will go down in my memories as one of the most friendly, inviting coffee shops I've been to. The coffee is delicious and the staff makes you feel warm and welcome. I had the pleasure of working remote here for a couple days while my wife and mother-in-law attended the Round Top antique show. I didn't want to leave Round Top after experiencing the Round Top Coffee Shop. I'm excited to be back in Round Top to stop back in.

Google
I love this little coffee shop. It's always a pleasant experience with quality people and quality coffee. It has a great, small town atmosphere with cozy seating. I appreciate the options they have on hand for different coffees and complimentary water for customers. The baked goods are awesome and it's a treat that breakfast tacos are offered for those on the go mornings. I brought my parents to visit from out of town and it was one of their favorite places from the trip. Laid back and easy going.

Google
Community tables inside, umbrellas outside. Coffee specialities we're spot-on, quick counter services and staff hustling at this home-style kitchen set up. Crowds come and go, sit back and enjoy awesome tacos and people watch.

Yelp
Had the pleasure of dropping in for a coffee. The service was fantastic - small town friendly in the best way. The breakfast taco was tasty and my coffee was great. Definitely stop in if you're in town.

Yelp
This is a great place to pop in and grab something to go. Nice coffees! There's really no place to sit if the locals are there. You might end up sitting next to an interesting collection of items or looking at their back stock. It's one of the only breakfast spots open early in the morning in Round Top, but they have little to offer beyond a muffin or a premade taco.

Yelp
Lovely coffeeshop in Round Top! We were instantly greeted by the woman behind the counter, who also gave us a run down of what the shop offered. She gave us her recommendations and we opted for some hot tea, coffee, a delicious blueberry muffin, and their signature salsa. What a pleasure it was to visit yesterday morning! We will return again soon.

Yelp
My husband and I stopped in on our way home from an anniversary weekend in Round Top. They were one of the few places open on a Monday morning before the first week of the big antique show. We were hoping to grab some breakfast tacos, but they ran out. The coffee hit the spot though! I had the lavender latte and my husband had an Americano. The owner of the shop was helpful, friendly, and a joy to have a conversation with. I told her that I admired the big, beautiful wood table she has in the middle of the shop and she shared the local maker, along with telling me the significance of the 9/11 memento she has on the table gifted by then governor Rick Perry. We will definitely stop by the next time we're in town! They are so down to earth and make you feel like a regular. Just all around good vibes!

Yelp
Such charm! This place is the quintessential small town coffee shop jewel with a country smile service, a tiny bell on the door and a wonderful aroma. I am so disappointed we didn't get to try the breakfast tacos. Round Top is not a big breakfast town. It just literally does not exist. We walked into the shop with a lovely aroma of home cooking and hoped we weren't too late. Apparently, the people right in front of us got the last tacos. They looked delicious. The shop is transformed from an old home (as most places in the town are) and made into a little eatery. They sell local salsa in mason jars and it looked wonderful too. The coffee and tea we purchased was good. They have limited seating inside and a few bench type options for outdoor when the weather is nice. The lady behind the register cooks the tacos right there in her cute little kitchen. The atmosphere is cozy and chic. Lovely place. Hope you make it in time to try the tacos. They sure had my taste buds going just from the smell.

Yelp
Love this little coffee shop! Seems like the heart of this lovely town. Great coffee, breakfast tacos, pound cake and community. Highly recommend!!

Yelp
Delicious breakfast tacos & coffee. Charming decor and a welcoming place on beautiful grounds.

Lele S.

Yelp
What a darling little place! The owners are just the sweetest people and quite charming. I enjoyed my breakfast taco w homemade salsa and one of the best cups of coffee I've had in a long time! I think it was Texas pecan. The locals trickle in for coffee and breakfast and it's not surprising that everyone is so friendly. It appears as if they might do music there although I was there in the morning so I'm not totally sure It's a cozy little spot right in the center of Round Top.

Megan B.

Yelp
Stopped in for lattes and breakfast tacos while in town for the Round Top 150th anniversary. They have almond milk, flavored lattes and cappuccinos. Breakfast was hot and fresh with limited options of tacos or bowls but also had pastries. Service was a bit brisk but otherwise a good little coffee shop.

Hope S.

Yelp
So cute and quaint! Exactly what you would expect for a small town coffee house. Tacos and breakfast bowls were delicious. Lots of seating in such a small place.

Kristin D.

Yelp
I love small businesses and was happy to visit this coffee shop. I don't know much about fancy blends. Dude, I drink Folgers at home, happily. I have my trusty auto drip. The ONLY thing I know is that I was tired, a bit crabby and a bit hungry. The lady behind the counter was SO nice. I don't know my a*s from a hole in the ground about coffee. She asked if I wanted Texas Pecan. I said "Oooh, ok!" I also ordered a drink for my husband, who's tastes are a bit more refined and specific than my redneck ones (he's English, idk. It's in his blood to be a beverage snob). Lovely shop and lovely people. Bathroom was superb. I liked the decor a lot. Two thumbs up.

Lisa L.

Yelp
Great little place that values community! Best breakfast tacos made in house, blueberry muffins and cowboy muffins are a savory blend with sausage and cheese.

Kelly W.

Yelp
Loved the coffee and the service. They didn't have corn tortillas for my gluten free breakfast taco but they did serve a delightful taco bowl which was delicious. They also had a wonderful iced chai tea latte as well as great coffee. I've never been able to stop during the antique weekend show but was able to pop in this past weekend and enjoy the shop. Glad I did.

Linda R.

Yelp
First visit back to Roundtop in a couple of years. Coffee was super good and we had the breakfast bowl breakfast which was well prepared. Plenty of locals here which tells you the coffee is good.

Ronald G.

Yelp
Ambiance is a small town cafe with hot fresh food, reasonably priced! The staff was cheerful, friendly and kept drinks full without being bothersome. A+ all around!!

Mark S.

Yelp
Very nice ambiance and service was fantastic! We came before the Spring show so was quiet and relaxing.

A L.

Yelp
Round top special. Awesome Old house relocated and repurposed for a coffee shop. Delicious coffee and breakfast tacos! They also had fresh baked muffins and cake.

Katie L.

Yelp
This place is a joke. Two rude hens running around like their heads are cut off. Arguing about who does what. Took about thirty minutes to microwave two tacos. Was not impressed with the coffee, food and mostly the very terrible service. Will not be returning.

Brenda J.

Yelp
Cute little coffee shop! The shop had a long line, but it moved fast. The Texas Pecan coffee wax delicious and the homemade salsa was perfect with the breakfast tacos.

David G.

Yelp
Definitely not a Starbucks. I'm especially partial to this location as it was my first exposure to Round Top. With coffee and tea, a small selection of baked goods, unusual gifts, and small town charm, this is one of the few establishments I actively seek out when I'm in this area. They've made a little bit more room for merchandise and I liked it even better when the back room was dedicated to books and local art, but they promise me new bookshelves are a work in progress.

AwesomelyAimless A.

Yelp
Great vibe Features local artists Books Movies Smiling happy people Excellent lavender lattes Clean, new bathrooms An all around lovely lively coffee house

Yelp
When you walk into Caroline's coffee shop, you're not only greeted with the enticing scent of Texas Pecan coffee, but also a handful of "hellos" and "good mornings." This charming coffee shop is a center of warmth and community. Great coffee, wonderful atmosphere, and great people. If you've left the city for a day of antiquing and want to have the complete small-town experience, make sure you stop by to say hello.

Elizabeth H.

Yelp
Super friendly staff , great prices! My go to was The lavender Latte was very delicious and a chocolate chip cookie !

Judy B.

Yelp
Stopped in this morning, looking for a good cup of coffee, and were thoroughly pleased! The people that worked there were outstanding as they were attentive and friendly. I had a Caramel Flavored Coffee Latte. Wish I had gotten the largest cup they had. We had a nice conversation with the owners and the staff. Will come back every morning for coffee the next time we are in Round Top!!!

Pamela H.

Yelp
It's got the best people - the best coffee - the best breakfast bowl! Ask for my girl Jessica and tell her Pamela sent you!!

Karen L.

Yelp
WARNING - from a city and used to top notch or even halfway decent coffee - stay away! You will be greatly disappointed. This place is the worst! Coffee products are terrible. We ordered 2 lattes and they were both watered down, weak and flavorless. She offered to remake the drinks, but I didn't have any reason to believe it would be an improvement and didn't want to draw negative attention to the situation (crowded, tiny dining area), so I just politely asked for 2 regular cups of coffee instead. We tried to order breakfast but were told they only had breakfast tacos (not interested). When I asked why jams, honey & butter were in the tables I was told that they offered breakfast plates to guests at the Inn. She then offered to sell us breakfast plates, which we then ordered. While waiting for the food on the porch, my husband went inside to ask for water. He came back carrying 2 plastic cups of tap water and informed me that he was charged for it. I rolled my eyes, but since it's Covid thought maybe they are hard up so have to charge. I went inside to check on our breakfast order (counter service) and immediately noticed the free tap water and cups sitting on the counter. I asked the girl why she would charge for the water when it was clearly sitting out for people to help themselves. She offered to refund my money, and I responded that I thought that was fair. The food was delivered to our table on the porch a few moments later and it was disgusting! Cold, soggy hash brown patty, sausage patties microwaved into hockey pucks - completely inedible. Eggs were real shell eggs scrambled and fresh but not salted or seasoned at all so bland & flavorless. Biscuits were warm and fresh but popped out of a can! Bottom line - don't waste your precious time here on you weekend visit. There are other options, but you'll have to drive to a neighboring town or wait til 11am when one of the rockstar establishments open up.

Juliet W.

Yelp
Great find and hidden treasure!!! People are friendly and treat you like family. Owners sit with you and share stories, history, and events. Will always stop in when passing through, thirsty or not.

Teresa S.

Yelp
I stopped in one morning on my way to LaGrange. So glad I did. Super friendly service and a very inviting decore. I ordered a cappuccino and a slice of cake. Both were perfection. I am picky about coffee ( or in this case cappuccino). The coffee used was delicious. Not the standard no flavor, weak stuff you usually get at so many places. The cake was so moist ( as I was told it would be) and really good. I will for sure be going back to this little gem of a place since I am a local to the area.

Raymond W.

Yelp
Stopped in to satisfy a craving for a strong cup of coffee during my Sunday morning motorcycle ride. Better than I expected, the coffee was very good and the people and surroundings couldn't be more pleasant. I highly recommend.

Trisha J.

Yelp
This was my go to place for my morning soy latte during antique week. They also served breakfast tacos while we were there. The staff is so nice and the place so cute.

Elizabeth D.

Yelp
Make a point of coming here! Pros: * Excellent espresso. I had an Americano (best I've tasted since the best long black in Australia), my friend had the drip coffee and said it was excellent (they had a couple of options for drip for suit tastes along the mild-to-dark scale). I'm a bit of a coffee snob, so when I say excellent quality, I'm serious. * Excellent service. Friendly, welcoming, and efficient. We stayed for several hours to work on a project, the owner made herself available but never interrupted us or made us feel like we were imposing. Drinks were quick to arrive. People came and went through the morning, service was consistently calm yet quick. * Excellent space and ambience. The tables are beautiful wood (one of them handmade mesquite with inlaid turquoise - - probably worth the trip just to see that work of art by a local artisan!), there's plenty of porch seating to make the small space seem a bit bigger. Very comfortable to either grab something to go while you're out antiquing, or pause for some relaxation and conversation. Cons: * None! Well, maybe it's not closer to my house? ....Except that's more of a pro, because it's a perfect halfway point between Houston/Huntsville and Austin. Perfectly situated. This gem of a cafe is sitting inside a gem of a town, and I'll make a point of going back as often as possible. Hope to see you there!

Marcus D.

Yelp
Friendly spot, great french press! The classic Philadelphia coffee grinder was a treat.

Jeff H.

Yelp
It's always great to stop in here and have a nice coffee and catch up with Carolyn. They offer a cozy atmosphere of great coffee, home cooked food, and authentic Round Top conversation. Their front porch is a classic and nice spot to hang out with your friends or family before walking around the area. They also have some cool candles and other gift items for sale. Coming back every time I am in the area!

Lily A.

Yelp
This is such a cute coffee shop. Truly a gem in the small town. Passing through and just googled coffee and went to it. Got the lavender latte and my friend got a americano. Both were really good and fresh. Stop by and meet the super kind owner! Don't miss this place!

Michelle S.

Yelp
I live in Austin and my cousin live in Houston so we decided to meet up in Round Top. Came here for breakfast/coffee and it was delicious!! They had a breakfast Buffett and it was awesome! Pay $1 extra for the waffle and it was worth it. When in town you must stop here!!

Cheryl K.

Yelp
Great breakfast buffet and surprise entertainment from an Australian folk group The Heart Collectors. The coffee was excellent and food fresh. Definitely worth the stop

Sonia E.

Yelp
A bit like walking into a dream. A high ceilinged beauty of a building with a music stage and a communal table and a side room with books and Chinese checkers. Beautiful Carolyn behind the coffee bar. Everyone was so friendly and invited me to sit with them and join the conversation which included topics from fencing to baby miniature donkeys to french antiques to boy scouts directing traffic during the blackout in NYC in the 70s. Delicious and affordable buffet breakfast with excellent hot sauces. A painting of a woman with three dimensional eggs on it overlooks the scene, serene.

Rosa C.

Yelp
Espressions Coffee is definitely my favorite coffee spot in Round Top! I was driving back to Austin when I stopped here to grab me a salted caramel latte. I was amazed by how delicious It tasted (considering I'm a coffee snob). Very good flavor for the price. I didn't buy anything else because I was in a rush but if delicious coffee is what you're looking for I highly recommend you checking out this place. Very homey and welcoming feeling with amazing friendly staff.

Tony S.

Yelp
Awesome little coffee shop located in Round Top. They have a neat little library and some art decorating the walls, some of which they sell. Owners were very nice and conversed with us instead of just checking out our order and trying to move on to the next customer. Iced Texas Pecan coffee was great!

David B.

Yelp
Round Top has beautiful old oak trees, bluebonnets and charm, but very few establishments open every day especially for coffee/ muffins. Expessions Coffee is a rare exception open every day except Monday with fantastic drip coffee (highly recommend the Texas pecan), lattes, espresso etc. Fresh half and half sure beats the "creamer" served at every other coffee option (mainly gas stations) in this end of Fayette county. The muffins/ pastries also fresh. The couple that run Expressions couldn't be nicer and serve with a Southern hospitality that makes a native Texan like myself feel at home. Highly recommend!

Rachel R.

Yelp
GREAT place to grab coffee and unwind! The staff at Espressions are super friendly and accommodating, to boot. Had the breakfast buffet here on a Saturday...Definitely the best breakfast option around. Biscuits, gravy, grits, eggs, sausage, bacon and an assortment of jams and salsas. Breakfast tacos also available! The coffee is great, had the Americano...Twice. Will definitely be going back!

Annette W.

Yelp
So it was a Tuesday morning. We had come into town to look at real estate, and like half the establishments, the "popular" coffee house in town was closed. I thought "Surely some people still drink coffee on Tuesdays!" so I searched til I found this coffee shop. The owners were extremely friendly. The shop was small but had one large table for the customers to sit around which made for some good conversation. They were very accommodating to my little 5 yr old boy and made sure his hot chocolate wasn't too hot. My latte was perfect and the scones were yummy. Try it out. You'll appreciate the service. And the fact that their hours make sense to real people.

J W.

Yelp
First sign should have been that they don't open till 8am. What self respecting coffee house doesn't open till 8? (True I am a bit peeved because I'm an early riser, and there is NOWHERE in this town to get early coffee. ). Secondly the brewed coffee just wasn't good - too weak, had a weird flavor. I haven't tried any of their lattes, so those might be better.
