Rround1 plans to open at the Meadows Mall | Eater Vegas

"I see plans for the Japan-based Round1 to convert the former Sears department store inside the Meadows Mall into a 42,000-square-foot amusement center; although construction has not started, the resubmitted paperwork describes bowling lanes, billiard tables, karaoke rooms, ticket redemption games of skill and a large selection of imported Japanese arcade games aimed at competing with GameWorks and Dave & Buster’s. The massive gaming lounge is planned to be open daily from noon until 2 a.m., with a snack counter serving burgers, pizza, wings, salads, nachos, churros, mozzarella sticks and ice cream, plus a separate adults-only bar stocking draft and bottled beers, wine and shoju/sake mixed drinks. The company, which is Japan-based and operates more than 30 locations nationwide, also plans a Meadowood Mall location in Reno that should debut this fall." - Bradley Martin

Bowl, Dine and Play at Round1 in the Meadows Mall | Eater Vegas

"Set to debut in 2019, Round1 — a Japanese-based rival to GameWorks and Dave & Buster’s — is aiming for a Nevada opening at the east side of Meadow Mall, with a second location also planned for Reno. From earlier expansions, I note it typically includes bowling lanes, karaoke, ticket-redemption games of skill, darts, billiards and ping pong tables, plus the brand’s extensive roster of Japanese arcade games, many of them exclusive to the American market. While a final menu for this location hasn't been announced, Round1 generally offers counter-service pizza, burgers, wings, salads, nachos, churros and ice cream, and a separate bar that stocks draft and bottled beers, wine and “shoju/sake mix drinks.” Future opening hours and an estimated completion timetable have not been posted." - Bradley Martin

The .99 ice cream cone got us! We went on a weekday and it was slow. They had 1 young girl working what seemed like the register AND the kitchen. She was busy and was SO slow. No acknowledgment whatsoever. I’m not mad at her for the business being understaffed. I waited patiently for about 20 min. I then asked if someone could help her since all we wanted was a couple ice cream cones. There were many other employees there (different departments maybe) a manager/supervisor then came out and helped us with those cones. He was nice and fast. I don’t think anyone should have to wait so long for something so simple and I don’t think 1 person should work both positions but maybe we came on a bad day. The ice cream was good though.

Our fave local arcade! We never leave without prizes from the claw machines and other games.

This was my first time here, I had an amazing time. I felt like a kid again. The amount of games to play I was shocked. The bowling 🎳 was $32 bucks for 4 of us to play including your shoes , a really good price. I'll definitely be going back with my grand babies and my husband to play.

Great Job! Booked a party with (New Manager) Eric, who took care of me every step of the way ~ Round 1 is clean, the staff is friendly and the food was great, the party room had its own sound system, leather couches, everything was on time, the entire experience was perfect. Keep it up Round 1! We’ll be back for sure!!! Jason Rich Reno, NV.

We went on a whim, Saturday night with some friends that were here from out of state. The first thing was the security guard outside asking for an I.D. and checking our purses. Its cool they do that, but then again gave me a feeling they've had issues there before. We had fun, we only stayed 45 mind The games were fun, but I prefer Coconut Bowl. I can't wait for Dave and Busters to open up, that place is off the hook!

Fun claw machine arcade. You need to know what you are doing to win but it is possible. Nice spacious location with lots to do as well. Karaoke quality is bad tho, small song selection so it’s better to hook up ur phones bluetooth instead (AKA better to do it at home)

Fairly decent place to bowl with the family. The lights over the bowling alleys are quite distracting. Their bathrooms need some help.

My son went for a birthday party. I was shocked to find out an attendant turned off the game and refused service to my child when he had already paid to play simply because him and his friends won too many times. This kind of treatment is unacceptable, especially at a place meant for kids to have fun. It felt like they were punishing the kids for winning. We will not be returning and do not recommend this arcade to other families. When talking with the manger about the situation why my son was he refused service even though he had swiped his card for a 10 credit game the manger responded with they have to check the game and make sure it doesn’t let paying customers win that often. What a joke! They will rig their games right in front of you simply because kids are winning!
