Can't wait to come back! Their beer and seltzers are great! They have a cool layout and friendly staff! Our visit was in the dead of winter (-33° with wind chill) and had a great time! We can't wait to come back when the weather is nice to enjoy their outdoor seating as well!

Google
We love going to Roundhouse! Their beer selection is large and the atmosphere is so much fun. A great place to hang out indoors in winter and a super fun patio in summer. Also have NA options.

Where to start with Roundhouse? They have axe throwing lanes in the upper part of the building. There are TONS of tables on the patio! Seriously there is more seating outside than there is inside. Inside seating includes an upper pavilion. They have a kitchen. And it is amazing. The brisket bowl with green beans and potatoes was better than some I've had at a menu restaurant. Roundhouse also has a large beer menu! When the beer tender told me to make a flight of 4 or 6 I was slightly confused until I actually looked at the menu! A few beers of almost any style imaginable. Hard teas, sours, IPA, light beers. Seriously, out of 6 samples, only one was not my jam. All of the beer was solid. Crushable, you might say. Even the key lime pie sour was well balanced and delicious. Well worth the stop when you're in Nisswa. Also, I cannot rave enough about Emmerson. She was friendly, knowledgeable and engaging. But she also was great with talking with my kids. They have been talking non stop about going back. I wish I could give Roundhouse more than 5 stars. Edit: My wife wanted to stop for a Tea Time for lunch on our way home after our vacation. We had just as much fun the second time as the first. And Evan was superb! We will definitely be making trips up just to stop here.

We recently helped throw a welcome party the night before our son and daughter-in-law's wedding and Roundhouse was a great venue! Great food and drinks, super helpful staff, and a great all around space. Shout out to Curt who ensured every detail was taken care of and helped us pull off a great event for 60+ people! :-)

Google
Fun atmosphere with good outdoor seating with elevated stage for music bands. Food menu is solid and brew master gal is personable, all staff friendly. The juicy train IPA is very good

Google
Great beer, extremely nice staff, and a great indoor/outdoor area. The Fog Bank hazy IPA is amazing. Highly recommend a stop if you're in Nisswa.

Google
A good selection of beer overall. I wasn't a fan of some of the them but loved the drift buster winter ale delicious. They also have life music as well. It has a great atmosphere and a lot of seating in a unique location, a retired train yard. I would recommend visiting if you are in the area.

Yelp
My inaugural visit was the Baxter location and all subsequent visits have been at the current location, the former Gull Dam space. My first visit I tried a flight, including the intriguing PB & J Ale... that despite my skepticism, walked away the favorite. The beers were delicious, the beertenders friendly and helpful and the space comfortable. My six beer flight consisted of Ms Galena Sour, Boom Lake Lager, Crow Wing Cream Ale, Lunchbucket PB & J Ale, Reefer Car Peach Wheat, & 46 North Wild Rice Ale. All the beers were delicious but I returned later that night w a buddy for a pint of Lunch bucket PB & J Ale. Definitely don't pass up Roundhouse if you're in town or passing by, cheers.

Kristina K.

Yelp
I was impressed with my night out. The roundhouse had a fun live band outside, the place was clean, plenty of entertainment including board games, ax throwing, and music. The staff is very pleasant, helpful and quick. I enjoyed having the 6-flight option, which allowed me to sip on a little of everything. They are dog friendly on the patio :)

Yelp
4.0* (out of 5) Food: n/a Atmosphere: 4* Value: 4* Service: 4* 03/04/2023 I always try to stop at a brewery in a city we are visiting so couldn't pass up the opportunity to check out the Roundhouse and was glad that we stopped. We were surprised at how many cars were in the parking lot and were impressed with the additional activities (such as axe throwing) that they advertised. The building and interior were modern and clean and the service was friendly and quick. The beer selection was good (around 20 on tap) and my wife and I shared a 6 sample beer Flight. We found most of the beers to be well above average and rated them all in Untappd. Definitely worth a stop if you are in the Nisswa / Gull Lake area. Yelp
Cute spot, great for groups. We sat outside on a Wednesday night & ate and got drinks. It was all good, lots of variety in the beverages and great service too. There was a live band inside that we heard while sitting outside. My food was good! Nice and modern location, really enjoyed it here.

Sarah B.

Yelp
This place has really stepped it up in the last year and matured into this space. The beer has gotten better and the service is still as good as ever. They've made some additions to the seating space with a loft area to sit inside and a stage outside with tons of tables, fire pits, and games. Cute merch to purchase as well! Snacks from von Hansen's like meat sticks and pretzels but also some bites to order from the kitchen like nachos! Tons of beer choices - a flight is the way to Go so you can try them all. Highly recommend putting this on your list to visit!

Yelp
Stopped with friends at this spacious brewery on our way home from our cabin trip up north. It's a bit icy out and we didn't realize there was extra parking out back (there is!), which is the lot that leads to the taproom. That would've helped for those of us who had to trek through the ice and lawn to the back entrance! We got there a half hour after opening and taps weren't open yet - we didn't mind waiting but the woman working wasn't super welcoming to us out of towners. Oh well, at least the beer was good! I did ask her about the railroad references and it turns out this brewery originated in an old railroad depot in Brainerd but moved to Nisswa a few years ago. There's plenty of space - outdoors and indoors - good 90s alternative music playing and a basic pub menu. The beer cheese was a bit strange - not the best but my friends said the burger with brisket was good. Would have loved to do some axe throwing with my friends but the room wasn't open. Had the porter and it was a smooth, easy to drink porter. Not too heavy and perfect for lunch.

Mike G.

Yelp
Nice spot to grab a beer. Ambience is a little dark for our preference. Live music was good! Foods a bit expensive so we didn't eat. But if you're looking for good beer swing in and grab one here.

Misha Q.

Yelp
Decided to stop by for lunch today and try the menu. You order online through your phine. (We had trouble and needed to use their WiFi to get it to work). We figured plates would be small so we ordered three items to share. We were so wrong! We had three huge plates come out and everything was amazing. We had the pretzels and beer cheese (so good!) The poutine fries and the nachos. Everything was so fresh and had great flavor. The hubby tired a few different beers but the strawberries seltzer was so refreshing. I am really hoping to stop by on a night when the band is playing!

Debra G.

Yelp
Great brews and food, good atmosphere. The outdoor patio is nice and you can bring your dogs. Offers ax throwing also!!!!

Barb A.

Yelp
Roundhouse made a good change to come to Nisswa with lot more room. Great beers and seltzer and food!! Love the entertainment that they provide! Great to see heat lamps and fires with a bonus of the covers over some tables!!

R D J.

Yelp
Phenomenal burger! Had a "Smokehouse" and it just might be the best burger I've had that I didn't make myself! Has a Hazy IPA that was balanced, citrusy and refreshing. 8/10 and I rarely rate a beer above that. Do yourself a flavor and try this place!!!

Sarah S.

Yelp
Could be the new BLA venue space and be known for more than just their craft beer, but COVID allowing. The outdoor music space is wonderful at the new location and parking was better than the BLA space. The staff are friendly and though I'm nervous about alcohol and axe-throwing, the fact the staff and management are always looking to grow and entertain, is inspiring. The Cinder Dick beer is a favorite but the Kombucha is good too.

Sheila G.

Yelp
OK crazy as it sounds, I had yet to visit Roundhouse, until I moved up here year-round just this last August 2021. I have visited a few times now with my newcomer club friends and the beers always cold and tasty and the music is always unique and fun! And definitely check out the nacho platter (split between people) and the fresh fish tacos. And you got to love the 6 o'clock start time and it gets over by 9 PM at the latest, perfect for us early to bed people. It's not like back in the day when I actually started going out at 9 PM. Also, great for families were you see newborn babies all the way up to their grandparents enjoying a beer. Definite Go To for the Brainerd Lakes area visitors and residence! Note: not much to offer in terms of optional or nonalcoholic options. They offer a root beer they make and ice water.

Joel O.

Yelp
Horrible!!! The setting was fine - but do we always need to have a TV on in the background - especially when it's a drama and the sound is turned off. I suggest turning it off! ~ The food could not have been worse. My date and I both ordered the brisket sandwich with chips. The sandwich was all fat and grizzle. Couldn't eat it. And the chips were the crumbs from the bottom of the bag. The beer was good - but not enough to overcome all that was disappointing. Overall, it was a big miss, especially since I had been looking forward to trying the Roundhouse Brewery for a long time. I suggest spending your discretionary entertainment dollars elsewhere.

Laura C.

Yelp
Fun place to have a drink, some food and listen to live music. I will definitely be back fit more Hard Seltzer and Nachos!

Kevin Z.

Yelp
Fantastic brewery. Congrats to Roundhouse for replacing Castle Danger for the best cream ale to have ever been in my mouth. Cinder Dick IPA is also fantastic. Check it out. Also a very cool space.

Rayce D J.

Yelp
The address is wrong in Yelp now. They just opened where Gull Lake Brewing used to be on the 371 in Nisswa Great place. Great Beer. Incredibly blessed to have a place of this quality in little old Nisswa!!

Michelle A.

Yelp
Last stop of brewery tour with my sister. Ate 1/2 of the Mickey's sub at the bar. Today was St Patrick's Day weekend so Corned Beef and Cabbage and a small band provided entertainment also. Roundhouse is super cool inside. Used to be part of a railway yard. Repurposed and turned this historic building into a brewery. Very open and spacious with couches and tables for seating. Very nice beertenders. This is what we sampled: Uncle Piwo Polish Ale yuck, add hotdog water to beer and this is what you get. Old Bets Brown Ale yuck. Really enjoyed Whistle Stop Blonde Ale which is gluten free and liked Boom Lake Lager. I also tried a cream ale and bought a growler. The reason they get a 4/5 is that my sister reported her growler was filled 3/4 full. Will probably return if passing through Brainerd again.

Paul S.

Yelp
Hidden gem, this place is GREAT! Incredible location in the retired Brainerd rail yard. Great atmosphere, super service and very tasty variety of beers on tap. Stopped in there after golf in the area. Had a kids fundraiser going, great live music! You will really enjoy this place, we will be back for sure!

Pat O.

Yelp
We loved this brewery. The staff was very kind and friendly. I have to say that every beer that we tried was very good. The PB&J was my favorite. Even the bathrooms were fantastic. It had a very nice ambience. I know that I will be coming back here again because I really loved this place.

Deb M.

Yelp
Here's a tip - if the Emily Marrs band is playing - stay away. Stay far far away. The singer is terrible and ruins every song. Plus the beer is just passable, the seltzer is disgusting and the food takes forever. On second thought, just go anywhere else where the experience will be better.

Jennifer D.

Yelp
Great little brewery spot! Conversation areas, games to promote friendly competition. Bag toss outside for fresh air. Family/kid friendly. Oh, and the is tasty as well. Their porter is Smooooooth.

Alex K.

Yelp
Really solid spot with above average beer. Came here on a random night and had a surprisingly good time. There was a live band and a good crowd. Would give 5 stars but had a little snafoo with our credit card getting lost and the beer could be a little better. But a solid spot

Anni O.

Yelp
We were going to try another brewery in town but that one was packed so we headed over to the Roundhouse. Great brewery!! So glad we hunted this down. Had to google map to find it. They could have better signage Had a flight of six and didn't have a single beer we didn't like. Just some that we liked better than others! There were two couples in our party. The bartenders were friendly and courteous. Loved. Loved. Loved. The ambience and decor. Already went back to refill our growler a second time. Highly recommend!

Kevin K.

Yelp
Roundhouse became an instant must repeat the first time I stopped in. Beer selection is great. Bartenders are some of the best ever!

Amy N.

Yelp
We have been coming to Roundhouse since we moved into the area in 2017! We love the atmosphere, the bartenders and most importantly the beer! There is always something going on!! You can catch a lot of great musicians who come in and perform weekly or even play in a FREE poker tournament to win FREE beer and merchandise! We are glad to find a brewery that feels like home!!

Kris H.

Yelp
Great selection of craft brews created in house. The bartenders were very knowledgeable and offered great selections to make sure we were happy with our selections.

Shelley M.

Yelp
The brewery itself is super great. Super cool atmosphere, unique location, and good beers! Service for us was not great. No one said hi to us when we walked in, and we were 1 of 2 groups in there. It felt like they were annoyed that we had come in and it was not welcoming. We felt like a burden the whole time we were there so we tried to hurry and drink our beer so we could leave. We are from out of town, but if we were to return, we would not go back to this brewery :/

Shelly S.

Yelp
Cool brewery. Warehouse atmosphere!! Awesome beer selection. Even a gluten free option for one who wanted that in our group. I had the coffee infused stout! Easy to drink and SO tasty. I loved it. My husband had the Octoberfest option. He also really liked!! Our bartender was very friendly and knowledgeable about the beer. Lots of people, yet she was able to keep up with a smile on her face and made each customer feel like they mattered. We had a large group and everyone liked their beers!!

E A.

Yelp
Get here, because you don't know what you're missing. these guys have it all from Great beers and a great setting. the descriptions of each brew is top notch and could not be beaten. The vibe is great along with the games, easy parking friendly service and a cool nostalgic area all lend itself to the ambience of this great location.

Harold A.

Yelp
Usually I enjoy a farm setting, with hay and a stall. But this place had a great atmosphere, super cool location. I love the commitment to the rail yard theme. Great beer (I had the Golden Spike, the lady alpaca with me had the Cinder Dick, I know what you're thinking, haha, good one you perverted llama), great service (thanx Jeff!), and great atmosphere- what more could you ask for in brewery?!? Go here please.

Brittina S.

Yelp
Awesome live music on the wknds! Great staff And The Hazy is the best I've tasted thus far...

Alexa W.

Yelp
This place is such a hidden gem! The cutest decorations, and such a cozy, homey vibe that captures the history of downtown brainerd and northern pacific! Really enjoyed the cream ale and hazy IPA. Much more affordable than other flights in the area too, will definitely come back next time I'm in the area!

Jeff L.

Yelp
Damn! This is authentic and great place to gather!Brews were top notch. Comfortable atmosphere and great brews. Try the golden spike.

Willie L.

Yelp
Stopped in for a beer and sat at the bar but after a 30 minute wait had not been served or even acknowledged by the beertender who had lots of time to check her phone. The place was not full or particularly busy. There was a nice selection of beers on tap but who knows if they were any good? We left in search of a place that wants our money. Note to manager you might want to clean the sticky floor.

Paul D.

Yelp
Googled breweries and this was the first one a saw so tried it out. The setting was incredibly cool in the old rail yard site utilizing one of the buildings. The beer was very good and reasonably priced. Would come back again.

Joe I.

Yelp
I've had average luck with breweries in this part of the state - nothing horrendous but nothing amazing either. Roundhouse is the best of the bunch so far, but it has room to grow. The space is typical taproom with the usual games like giant Jenga and corn hole (who the heck named that game?) as well as a lots of others. Gives a great family vibe which I like. The staff were extremely helpful with suggestions and patient filling up the multiple samplers our group ordered. Menus for local dining options to order out from abound. There was a nice seating area outside, but it was chilly, so we did not use it. The beers were plentiful (there were like 12 on tap) and they were solid. Some were not great IMHO, but some (the brown and the wee heavy for example) were well done. They were out of the IPA, which was a bummer. We have a cabin in the area and I'll be sure to come back! Recommended.

Kimber L.

Yelp
Loved this place! The beer is excellent and the staff are super friendly. Love seeing the old building put to good use! A great hang out place. Will definitely be back.

Eric B.

Yelp
They have tasty beer for everyone. My favorite is a double IPA called Golden Spike it's 8.9 percent alcohol. They have lots of sitting room inside of this clean historical looking brewery. And many menus if you want food delivered. Bean bag toss indoors is always a plus too!

Jeff S.

Yelp
The beer flows freely and tastes great! Great service at the new facility at reasonable brewery prices.

Claire E.

Yelp
Roundhouse is the best beerhouse in the Brainerd area. Friendly staff, fantastic environment, kid friendly! Prost!

Jodi P.

Yelp
We love our Brainerd brewery! We have been coming here for years and the beertenders are just fantastic! Holly, Suli, Hannah, Christine and Tyler are all great!

Kristen D.

Yelp
Roundhouse Brewery is the best place in town to drink beer, play trivia, listen to music, and spend time with friends in an awesome environment with the best servers in town! The beer is always amazing! Highly recommend Roundhouse Brewery! Cheers!

April S.

Yelp
Pulling up to this brewery, we could not get enough of the railroad history and how cool it looks. The beers were tasty; the flight was worth it. The staff came and checked on us a few times. I would go back again and again if I lived here!!!

stephen s.

Yelp
Excellent atmosphere and the rigged creative furnishings. Enjoyed their beer and love the Wild Rice beer. The Bartender was very knowledgeable about the brews and what was in them. Google the location but worth the find

Alisha S.

Yelp
Great beer and atmosphere!! So happy to have this brewery in the BLA - highly recommend
