Food was really amazing, exceeded my expectations. Tri tip tacos are the best from what I ordered so far. The tri tip sandwich is great too but I think the sauerkraut Rueben sandwich is better. Fries were fresh, burger was ok, but I believe the smoked meats was what made the others have so much flavor beyond what the burger could compete with. Highly recommended and would stop by if I was in the area.

I had the famous tri-tip tacos that are ranked in the top 100 in the US. I liked the fresh made tortillas that they were wrapped in and the tri tip was very good. The fries were great! Although there was a line, the service was really quick to get the food and it has a cool quaint atmosphere inside. Look forward to returning and trying some of the other things.

How have I not been here before? So delicious. Roundhouse Deli is by far now one of my favorite places to eat. Place looks a little run down but don’t let that fool you for how yummy the food is. All the staff were hard at work and very friendly. I got a chance to check out the smoker which smelled so good. Tri tip sandwich & tacos was amazing, meat was cooked perfect. I like my food a lil spicy so tried their hot sauce. So good.

We had the tri tip tacos and they were delicious. Lots of smokey flavor. The hot sauce was really good as well. Staff was super friendly and it was a very nice place to just sit and enjoy lunch. 7-8-25 Back here again. Again I have no complaints. Tri-tip tacos are a must. Delicious as always.

First time there and it was great! Don't expect fancy, just great food and fast service. Gets very busy at noon, so either go early or expect a line. Moves quickly though. Tri tip tacos!!

Some might call Roadhouse Deli "an old hole in the wall" because of its compact size. But in this case, good things do come in small packaging. The food here is oh so Good. They have sandwiches, burritos & tacos that will have your mouth watering before you get your food. My favorite is the Tri-tip Tacos. They're Street tacos with a lot of tri-tip meat that is cooked to perfection. The sandwich I luv is The Grilled Reuben w/a little tri-tip meat added. Even though you were completely satisfied, you'll have thoughts of ordering another one to go. Small & compact inside there are 4 small tables inside and 4 patio tables outside. You may also enjoy an ice cold beer with your food. Great place, friendly people and excellent food.

This business is ranked #4 on Yelp's Top 100 Taco Spots for 2025. It's one of those places that's in the category of great unassuming hole-in-the-wall finds that serve darn tasty food. We came on a weekday before noon (& before the lunch crowd line & wave of takeout orders). We parked in the unpaved lot by the smoker. Across the way are train tracks. Inside is a small, cramped space, & customers maneuver around each other. There are a few close-quarters tables & a lot of refrigerated beverages available. Fountain drinks are self-service. We were greeted by a friendly man who took our order at the counter. While waiting outside, order names are announced loudly & clearly over a speaker when ready. Outside, there is more seating at a few long picnic tables with umbrellas along the street. Like a picnic setting, you occasionally need to wave away some flies. Our experience felt very communal with the diverse diners--people accommodated each other at the shared tables, joked a bit, & we bumped into an acquaintance. We ordered their famous Tri-Tip Tacos, which look simple, but offer such deliciousness. The meat has smokiness & a little tang that is flavorfully prominent, but not overpowering. It is juicy, tender, & easy to bite through. The tortilla is crisp & has saltiness from a sprinkle of cheese. It's all buried under a mountain of shredded cheese & lettuce that offers a fresh, cool contrast to the rich meat. There's a charm to an inconspicuous, humble restaurant that provides such a satisfying experience. We enjoyed our eats here.

It's no surprise that Roundhouse Deli was selected as one of the Yelp top 100 local tacos in our area. Super proud of that achievement and yes, their smoked Tri-tip tacos are unmatched. Over the summer it became super challenging to get in there as road construction was happening. All that has been completed thank goodness. I got the recommendation to go there for the crispy tacos. Today it's definitely my goto for great tacos. The service is excellent, it's a small place. If you go outside of peak times, it's very accessible. Taco Tuesday is when I go for the Tri-tip taco special. Definitely go see what other people already know.

Beef Tri-tip taco trio at 10:00am. Breakfast of champions. Delicious. Smoky richness. Cooked well done yet still moist. Early hour means there are tables and chairs available. Usually all taken at lunchtime. The take out orders were flying out the door. Rightfully so, the food is down home marvelous.

Always love my Roundhouse deli Chicken tacos! I had been craving one all week so we went yesterday, a Sunday. Be warned weekends are very busy and they are closed Sundays. Prices are fantastic and food terrific! Service is fast and friendly. Limited seating available. Love love love this place!

Roundhouse deli is definitely a place you need to check out at least once if you are in Roseville. It is literally next to the train tracks so parking is all on the street and restaurant looks like a hole in the wall. There are tables inside and outside to eat but not too many. Usually there's a line out the door if you come during peak lunch hours. On the weekends and Friday they have tri tip tacos and I highly recommend getting these. The tri tip is so tender and pairs well with the crisped up tortilla and cheese and lettuce. The ingredients are so simple but so delicious. Make sure you get the red spicy sauce to put in your taco. Also, if you go for breakfast their burritos are huge, but be warned you may not be able to do any work after eating their burritos cause they are huge haha Check out roundhouse deli and you won't be disappointed. It's for sure Tex-mex so not your traditional Mexican food but oh it's good!

On our way back from Reno we were looking for a sandwich spot and good old Yelp led us to this incredible spot. A bit hard to get to and right in front of the train yard thus all of the train memorabilia inside. Pictures of townspeople all over the place in the very small inside space which actually adds to its cozy vibe. It was Monday but they were very busy and no wonder. We shared the Tri tip tacos and a hot pastrami sandwich with fries: Wow that pastrami was amazing and just melted in your mouth. The tacos just as good, smoky and deliciously tender Tri tip. The crispy corn tortilla is genius and perfectly crispy and filled with cheese and lettuce. The house salsa is also spicy yet flavorful. We can't wait to come back and try some of the other items but definitely worth the detour. This is a solid 5, for the service and the high quality bbq meats which they make in the smoker right outside the building.

Tri tip sandwich was Smokey and delicious. Fries were fresh, hot and crispy. Friendly staff and speedy service. 4.8 stars for sure

Too bad we dined here just prior to moving away from the area....it was terrific! It's so nice to see an established independent restaurant continue to succeed after decades of business. We ordered the two top selling items off their menu at the recommendation of their staff and were not disappointed. Thanks for the tip!

I just realized I've never written a review for this place?!!! We have been to this spot more times than we can count now and we always come back for the same thing.. the tri tip tacos combo meal!! So consistently delicious every single time. The tacos shells are crispy but still managed to be soft. I love the texture of it. They also dust it with some Parmesan. The whole taco is covered with shredded cheese but when you bite in there are thin shavings of tritip. I love the meat, it's soft and tender, and you can really taste that it's smoked. Not overly seasoned and you get a bite of perfection every time. I can totally see why this place has 1004 reviews with a 5 star rating. I'm making it 1005! Service is always friendly and quick when we come. Zero complaints. As for atmosphere, it's old. It's an old building, small, in front of a railroad station, but that's what adds to its charm. Not many seating tables inside. They added another picnic table for outside , you sit and share the tables with others, it's a whole vibe and I'm totally here for it. This is a local family owned gem that we love to support and keep coming back for more!

How have I lived in the area all my life and never gave myself the joy of experiencing Roundhouse Deli? It's a local favorite, and you can tell by the never ending line of people coming to order food. And once you visit, you see why. Such a great vibe, the staff is amazing and so friendly/helpful. Service is lightning quick...the food is absolutely delicious! We tried the tri tip sandwich, tri tip tacos, French fries, and potato salad...so good that even just thinking about them right now makes my mouth water! Highly recommend Roundhouse Deli, it lives up to every bit of the hype!

Do yourself a favor, if you haven't been to Roundhouse Deli go. If you've already been, I don't need to tell you- you know! This spot is a Roseville staple and is a popular spot for those in the know. There's street parking and as soon as you get out of the car the smells of the grilled/smoked meats wafts through the air and if you weren't already hungry you will be. The staff is hard at work getting food out to customers, the owner is usually at the counter (at least when I've visited) and is super friendly. They serve breakfast (Until 10:30am) as well as burgers, hotdogs, sandwiches and tacos. Check out their daily special and if it's the tri-tip tacos get them! I was skeptical the first time because I'm not big on tri-tip but they are SO GOOD. They have limited seating inside and some picnic tables outside. If you can, enjoy the food there because it's so good fresh and hot, but from experience I know it can survive the ride home and still taste amazing. As I'm typing this I'm already planning my next visit.

Yummy! I was in the area and drove by this place. Just by the number of cars parked up front you could tell, they were popular. The cashier recommended the Trip-tip sandwich and it didn't disappoint. The meat had a nice smoky taste. The potato salad was pretty good as well. Good lunch.

I've had a lot of tri tip in my life but man their tri tip has the best Smokey flavor and so delicious!! Very kind staff! Smaller place but very it's very lively and nice!! Highly recommend their tri tip tacos were the bomb!!!

Ok so I've heard about this place for years but have never made the trek to try the tri tip tacos. Today was the day . Omg! I'm a taco lover, I mean I know that most people love them, too .... But I could eat them daily. My friend and I were heading to lunch...let's get tacos somewhere we both agreed. I said ohhhh I know the spot let's go. Popular spot open during construction right in front of the business. We did not let that deter us. The dining gods were with us as we scored a nice inside booth. Service was friendly and prompt. Both of us got the Tri tip and would have a hard time deviating from this choice as they were soooo good, but the rest of the menu looks amazing as well. We got the meal deal. I didn't try my Mac salad as I brought it home for one of my kids. It was a nice generous portion . The bottled sauce was so good I even asked if they sold it. Can't wait to come back !

Rounhouse Deli is one of my absolute favorite lunch spots. It's family-owned, the service is always quick and super friendly, and the food is amazing. There hasnt been anything ive bordered I didn't love. The carne asada burrito is my go-to, and anything with tri-tip is so good! It's a small place, so indoor seating can fill up fast, but there is additional seating outside which helps. I also love checking out all the old photos and history on the walls-- Adds to the charm for sure. 10 out of 10, Highly recommend this spot to anyone.

I don't know if I should rate this place as it will get even busier and I'm selfish. But here it goes the tri-tip tacos were the best I ever had. So much flavor. Hard to describe. You just have to go try it yourself. It worth it. Limited seating so go early in the day if you can. The place is very small and busy!

Finally tried a tri-tip burrito. It was amazing. My husband and I's new go to in the area. Highly recommend. Come early in the morning and its quiet, they get busy later in the day. Super friendly staff. Will be back, glad im local.

Their food is as good as it always has been. I was lucky that I was in the area and could get a breakfast burrito. My god it was SO good. They're usually busy when I've gone in but they get their orders out pretty quick. They have Carne Asada tacos now which as just as delicious as their other items. Rene is a great man that remembers his customers. Trust me. Order from here and you won't be disappointed.

You know when some restaurants are considered an "Institution". The hole in a wall Roundhouse Deli is LEGIT. It rivals the best Tex-Mex tacos of Texas, most famous of then is Velvet Taco. The price is above average but once you've tasted their Tri-tips whether as a taco, burrito or sandwich, you'll agree that your dollar paid for a very high quality meal. The tri-tip was the most dominant taste on the item which is the way it is supposed to unlike other establishments. As a bonus, they are not greasy even the bacon burrito. Service speed is average wise, not Chipotle fast but not sit down dinner slow either. Expect long lines during weekends. Parking could be a challenge when busy. There's room for 3 cars on their gravel parking lot but plenty of street parking. Just watch out for areas where not allowed. Lastly, this better than Chipotle.

I'm sure you drove past this place many times and didn't think much since it is a hole in the wall and not much when it come to the atmosphere and dimming but there tri-tip taco are like nothing you ever tried! The shell is yet soft but little crispy covered in Parmesan cheese and the meat! I don't know they do it but some of the best smoked tri tip I have tried and they are not even a bbq spot. Must try. you will come back for more.

Food is great and fast. We called over the phone and got there within 15 minutes and everything was packed ready to go. We love the salsa and tri tip tacos were amazing!!! We also got the breakfast burrito, which are too delicious!!! Definitely coming back something about it being a little mom and pop makes everything taste authentic!!

I wouldn't be the first person to talk good about this restaurant. The tacos and the breakfast burritos are hands down my favorite. I am always treated with great service and usually order my burritos before the breakfast deadline of 10:30am. The hole in the wall restaurant is near old town and next to the railroad tracks. Love the smoky smell from the meat smokers outside . The salsas are amazing and spicy! This is a must try in Roseville California. Please note they close on Sundays!

I've been meaning to try this place for a while. Finally did today. I have a smoker and do tri-tip - or thought I did. The tri-tip here is beyond incredible. Smoky, juicy, tender. Absolutely the best I have ever had. I will be a regular.

I'm looking forward to trying the rest of the menu. Their bread is FANTASTIC! We got the Tri tip sandwich which was overpowered with the bbq sauce. The meat was tender and again, the bread is amazing. Macaroni salad was good. Service was insanely quick! There aren't many tables, but plenty of parks nearby to bring your sando.

Very cool little deli for fresh tacos, with even better food. The place is a bit off the grid. The staff is friendly and quick to help. The asada tacos were amazing, and the hot sauce/salsa definitely helps up the overall taste.

New Five To give them anything would be insulting. Food made with genuine Lve. Been trying to stop here for over three years always running to medical appts. Car repair appts. Despite a busy schedule and road construction. I managed to find a parking space down the block. I walked and was passed by working class, blue collar individuals. Rail Road Workers, Garbage Man, Contruction Workers, Attorney's who all seemed desperate to go inside and get there orders. When I asked is it the sandwich they said yes but almost every last one of them said but Im her for the Tri Tip Tacos. Which I now call the 5Tacos!!! Haven't tried my Tri Tip sandwich yet but when the Tacos settle its going down

Stopped in here during my travels. Super delicious. Ordered the tri-tip sandwich.... SUPER Delicious . Service was excellent. Fast and efficient. Weather was beautiful with outside seating.

Super dive sandwich shop. No frills but the tri-tip sandwich (and tacos) were delish. Would definitely come back if I were in the area.

My co-workers have been raving about this place. Don't expect a big sit-down restaurant. This is a small storefront with a few tables that are in the way of people ordering. Order and eat elsewhere. I ordered the carne asada tacos, which were on their daily board. I was not impressed whatsoever! They were very minimal and also not very good. My co-worker couldn't even eat hers as she didn't like them. I have heard that the brisket tacos are amazing, so maybe we just ate here on an off day. I want to try this place another time as it seems to be a hot spot.

The absolute best customer service, so fast, and their food is to die for!! They always go above and beyond. We absolutely love them.

The food here was amazing. It's simple food with great ingredients. We had the tri-tip tacos, side of potato salad and fries and drinks. It's the best $34. The line was out the door and I thought it was going to be a long wait. From start to finish...line to get in the door, ordering, food served was maybe 10 minutes.

U just have to try it! Best deli in town for years and years! I have been going here since high school and it's never been a bad experience. :)

The food is sooo good. Plotting to go with my son to lunch during the week.. he loved the food too. I had tri tip tacos , yummy can't wait. The little places like these have better food than the chains. Like home cooked food

I mean, I think it doesn't get any better than this for a Deli. The tri tip tacos are amazing but it's not why I go here. I go because the breakfast burritos are the perfect size and price. The place is exactly what I want it to be. Full of history that makes the place look older but who cares and kind people that love what they do. My son is so excited because he gets a breakfast burrito and gets to see trains. This is the spot and I hope this place never closes or changes.

I was disappointed but it might be a me thing and not a them thing. Seriously, I had no clue their tri-tip was smoked! Everyone's raving about their tri-tip tacos so of course I had to try them. However, I'm not a big fan of smoked meats and to make matters worst, the smokiness was just overpowering! I think their potato salad is better than the macaroni salad, the macaroni salad had way too much mayo and I love mayo, so I think that's saying a lot. The best thing I ate was bacon cheeseburger and fries. Hard to mess up a burger.

Tri-Tip tacos are so good I forgot my name. I've been coming here every friday since I moved to the area about 6 years ago. Its my favorite place and the tri-tip tacos are to die for. I could eat here multiple times a week. The staff is absolutely amazing. Great people, great place, great food. Highly recommend the Tri-Tip Tacos.
