Rouses Market

My team and I enjoyed the food that was prepared by Rouses; except for the dirty rice. The dirty rice was very watery and made a few of my employees sick. Besides that, thank you Red for going over and beyond to help make our office Thanksgiving Luncheon possible.

I could only get a few things because I only had a few dollars. I have never been there before. I think I'VE been to a Rouses Market decades ago. To be honest I was concerned because many small grocery stores are expensive. I was surprised at how many groceries I was able to buy with only $11! Four of us ate supper with it and still have plenty left! I didn't know where things were. I got help from A polite employee. The store is clean and looks to be well organized. When I Am in this area again, I'll go back.

Today me and my friend exoerirnced one of the most great customer service ever. We went at your store # 486 around 4:00 pm with the solid purpose to buy a Dr Peper’s king Cake which unfortunately were sold out. One of your employees sees us searching for the cake and he said to us to go to the Bakery to see if they were cooking others. When we finish shopping and we were about to leave the store the guy approached us again to find out if we got the cake and he went directly to the Bakery and came back to us with the cake in his hands. Unfortunately I didn’t get his name but the only thing I know he is originally from Houma, middle age guy, dark skin and very service oriented and polite. He went above and beyond of his duty to please a customer. Because of him I will from now do my groceries at your store and I will make sure to find his name.

Called today to let them know about a cake order that was not done correctly and the manager Kevin asked me what he should do to rectify the situation in a very condescending manner. Very disappointing, the cake designer suggested a cake design and did not execute her own suggestion, the cake was plain and looked rushed.

Their bakery fillings are full of mildew, the icing is covered in nats, and some of the berries are full of mold that they still put on the gentilly cakes. I recorded the manager Latoya putting moldy berries on a cake and glazing the berries to make them look fresh for a customer.

Great medium size grocery store. Huge nice restrooms! Had what we were after.

If y'all do money orders y'all should at least be able to cash them as well. It just people that don't like doing their jobs.

Went to rouses today, on a Sunday at 4:00 o'clock and the store was closed. On 1st Sunday at that. Then suggested to go to a different rouses. This the only grocery store in the area, clearly they don't know the demographic area they placed the store. So no Sunday dinner apparently

I found everything I was looking for except one thing being Jam jar red wine. I was shocked to learn it was not available there. I grabbed the last jar of Monjunis sauce which was my main ingredient of the evening

I was very disappointed that this brand new stand alone store was not bigger. I thought it would be like the one in Denham Springs. It's not much more than the small Drusilla store and options are still limited. If you want to get everything you need, just make the trip to Denham. .
