Rouses Market

My team and I enjoyed the food that was prepared by Rouses; except for the dirty rice. The dirty rice was very watery and made a few of my employees sick. Besides that, thank you Red for going over and beyond to help make our office Thanksgiving Luncheon possible.

Hey y’all the salad bar here pretty good you should try it. Great to dried fruit options too. I just added some Italian sauce to my salad rouses doesn’t include that in their salad bar, but they do sell it

When this location opened I was excited to have a Rouses a little closer to where I live. But over the last few months I've been noticing issues at this location with the cashiers. They are either fighting and arguing with customers or flat out rude. Some if the staff seem like they dont want to be bothered. Today one of the cashiers Aretha has a very poor and nasty attitude. If she is like that with all customers I don't think people will continue coming to this location or will hurt her feelings. Also there is another lighter skin chick with the same attitude. From this point I will continue to shop at another location!

First of all I love Rouses. However, the small store on Bluebonnet in Baton Rouge falls short of the quality i have become used to. I will drive miles to go to larger Rouses rather than go to this small store. I wish they would allow me at no charge to fix this store. A good cleaning to begin, teach there boiler how to boil seafood, stock shelves on regular intervals, make sure meat and chicken or in there display without the customer having to ask if it is available and please bring it out from the back and although I have found some employees very friendly and willing to help, others or in need of training on customer service. Fresh Market which is a couple of blocks away does not carry brands that I like, however i will run in from time to time. Store is always clean, managers make it a point to speak to you, employees will go out of their way to help. This is what Rouses should strive for . They have mastered that in there larger stores but , if I had my name on the building I would want that level of service also.

Love the selections,, cleanliness and the ease in being able to find things at this location!!! It will be my go to grocery store from now on.

Angel in the deli department was a sweetheart. I ordered a sandwich tray, jambalaya, and meatballs over the phone. However, the person who took my order had the wrong pick up date on the ticket. I arrived and nothing was ready. I had an event to get to within an hour. Angel understood and asked if I could wait 20 minutes and she could have everything ready. I watched her and her crew work quickly and effectively together to make sure I got my order as soon as possible. It was greatly appreciated. I understand mistakes happen but it’s about your actions after to correct things. Big thank you to Angel and her staffed. They deserve the recognition.

Went to rouses today, on a Sunday at 4:00 o'clock and the store was closed. On 1st Sunday at that. Then suggested to go to a different rouses. This the only grocery store in the area, clearly they don't know the demographic area they placed the store. So no Sunday dinner apparently

I found everything I was looking for except one thing being Jam jar red wine. I was shocked to learn it was not available there. I grabbed the last jar of Monjunis sauce which was my main ingredient of the evening

I was very disappointed that this brand new stand alone store was not bigger. I thought it would be like the one in Denham Springs. It's not much more than the small Drusilla store and options are still limited. If you want to get everything you need, just make the trip to Denham. .
