"Thierry Roussel and Jane Kölchens run this place with dedication. The elegant restaurant exudes cosiness, and the extremely friendly service, directed by your hostess, also contributes to the pleasant atmosphere. At beautifully laid tables, upscale classic cuisine is served in the form of set menus (one vegetarian) or à la carte. They are also happy to share their wine recommendations, including some from their own production. Plus: guestrooms where you will feel right at home." - Michelin Inspector

Blown away of the best experience. It was an absolute pleasure to visit their restaurant. Best restaurant experience we had in Germany! We ate there 7th of September- We had the 5 course menu with a wine paring. The food was over all expectations, so tasty, perfect portions sizes, good different textures, timing was on point between dishes, nice wine paring improving the food. The service was so kind and accommodating. It was clear when you looked around on the other guest, that the smiles on their lips got bigger and bigger the further we got with dinner. It is a family driven restaurant, which is really something you could feel. The love for what they do shined through everything. We found them because they were mentioned on the Michelin guide recommendation. We tried a couple of Michelin guide recommendations and this was clearly a lot higher caliber than the others we tried. And definitely in my mind up to pair with a star *. Thank you so much for this wonderful experience! 10/10 would do it again!

We decided last-minute to have dinner at the restaurant. Best decision ever, we were rewarded with a delicious menu, and great service. We also choose the wine pairing, great selection of Mosel wines! A heartwarming dinner experience, you definitely see their passion for cooking. We will return when we are in the area! Highly recommended.

Someone had boasted this restaurant as being Michelin star quality and so my husband and I were intrigued to try. Overall, there experience was nice, but there is much much much to improve to be considered truly fine dining. The atmosphere is nice, with good lighting, pleasant tables and appropriate level music to enjoy a proper ambiance. The plating was exquisite and the presentation lovely. The servers were nice, but not quite natural for the setting. A surprising and disappointing factor is that despite being "fine dining" or a French restaurant, there was not English or French menu available and the translations for each dish were not totally accurate or enjoyable to be required to listen to in order to decide. Unable to properly understand the dishes in such a restaurant was a major mark against the establishment. The wine pairings were delicious, although all options leaned on the sweet side, even the dry pinor noir which was overpowered with the cherry flavoring masking any balance of wood. The champagne was delicious, but again, on the sweet side. It was a perfect aperitif, and all wines were nice, simply noting all options lacked a full balance od dry to sweet when taken as a set. The tartlett appetizers were quite nice. The beet, raspberry, wasabi selection was truly a symphony of flavors in the mouth. The tuna was very good, although the sauce was overly creamy disrupting the balance of the bite. The foia gras was lackluster, perhaps the worst I've had in any fine dining setting. The sea bass was dry and overcooked and bland in flavor (although my husband ate half of mine and said his was much better so perhaps mine alone was poorly prepared). The beef dinner was cooked well but the quality of the meat left much to be desired. Despite being slow cooked for 24 hours, it lacked tenderness or flavor of truly quality organic livestock from specialty farms, certainly a quality I expect in the main course. The desert was delicately prepared and presented. I see what this restaurant is trying to do and it is nice to have such an option in this region. Much work is to be done to be considered a 4 or 5 star selection though. Update after owner reply: My review was mostly objective with many postiives balancing some objective and some personal opinions. I did mention that I did not care for the sea bass to the waitress. What good would continuing to communicate my displeasure do when the main course arrived? There were no comments or otherwise offered to correct the dish after I communciated that it was dry. And as I mentioned, I quite liked the wine, mentioning twice that it was delicious to me personally (although after tasting the reisling, we did decide not to order teh recommeded selection) I am objectively commmunicating that the selection as a whole was sweet as it might be good for other wine lovers to note, and for the restuarant to take into account - perhaps the wine sommalier is unaware of their choices being on one sweet side and for a fine dining establishment, I would expect feedback made objectively and with respect to be received and noted. You are welcome to receive or reject my review, as is your choice, yet the defensiveness in reply tells me the quality of the establishment would not increase. I stand by my review, the experience was nice, nothing more.

Had a fantastic dinner served with great care with some wonderful flavours. Clearly a passionate chef and team with a eye for detail. Enjoyed each dish (ceviche of sea bass, wild bore raviolo with beautiful deep flavoured consommé, lamb and a wonderful strawberry inspired desert). Thank you for your warm welcome - help with some fantastic local wines and great food.

We had a five-course dinner (plus hors d’oeuvre and amuse-bouche) including regional wine pairing on June 12. Spent three hours in the restaurant and enjoyed every moment of it! Perfectly curated dishes created with an uncompromising drive to perfection, served with wines (and Vinyard information) in a timely harmony. Very happy to have found this restaurant in Bernkastel-Andel. Very humble and professional team!

This place offers great service, upscale setting, and an outstanding menu. We opted for the menu combinations that included the appetizer and dessert and we were both extremely happy with our meal. I had the tuna and risotto and my wife enjoyed her pasta with mushrooms. For apps we each had a soup. I opted for the fish soup and it was one of the best I have had. The wine options were great and paired nicely with the food. In fact, we purchased 6 bottles after dinner. We will definitely come back!!

We stayed in an apartment here for a week and ate at La Bonne Address every night that the restaurant was open.Thierry cooked excellent meals for us, some with fish and some vegetarian. All were delicious and the service was outstanding. If you're not staying here and taking advantage of the guest 3 course menu (great value, incidentally), then make sure you book well in advance. Oh, and have the Roussel wine - always good.
