Route 66 Diner OCMD

Generous portions, delicious food, the fries are amazing and slightly crispy on the outside and soft in the middle, the menu has many options and our vegetarian requests were warmly received and perfectly executed. They have a beyond burger and I asked them to swap tomatoes for corned beef in a Reuben sandwich and it was perfect. Fun decor, full bar options but the place is very kid friendly. Breakfast all day!! Lori (sp.?, our waitress) was super cool and fun to talk to. We'll be back ASAP.

The Cinnamon Roll Breakfast Sammy sandwich was to die for! So good!! The Black and Blue Crab sandwich (minus the chees) was good too, but not as good as that cinnamon roll. Both are local food specialties that you have to try out.

The actual food was less than decent. My son found a hair in the bottom of his milkshake and when i told the waitress she just replied "ok" with no apology. The layout of the tables made it so we had to pass down the plates of food to the people on the ends ourselves. It was an all around unpleasant experience. Will not return.

We had an absolutely wonderful experience at this restaurant! The food was delicious, the ambiance was warm and inviting, but what truly made the evening exceptional was the outstanding service. We were served by Alexandra, and she was simply extraordinary. Attentive, kind, professional, and always one step ahead of our needs — her service was truly at the highest level. It’s rare to come across someone so dedicated and genuinely passionate about what they do. Thank you, Alexandra, for making our visit so memorable! We’ll definitely be coming back and recommending this place to our friends and family.

Recently opened diner...some growing pains and curves expected. We were greeted enthusiastically and seated. Service was quick to get our orders. I asked for the Shrimp & Grits that was a Saturday special. Also the Smash Burger Tacos and the Gouda Grilled Cheese with Tomato soup. Food came in a reasonable time. The shrimp was done quite well along with the bacon/spinach topping. Disappointed in the grits, they weren't cooked completely and had a hard, chewy texture with very bland flavor. I did let it sit till the end of the meal and improved slightly in texture. Smash tacos were excellent. Enjoyed the grilled cheese and soup, though the soup could be a little creamier for mouth feel. Will definitely return to try some other items. Especially being new, and working out kinks. Looking forward to seeing this place take off!

Had not checked out reviews before eating here. It had plenty of tables open so we questioned if the food was going to be good. No need to worry. Two of us ordered the country steak with mashed potatoes and green beans, one ordered avocado club and other ordered crab sandwich. The crab was really good and not filled with fillers as some places do, a actual crab sandwich. We were all happy with our choices. The country steak came with brown gravy which we asked for on the side, the whole platter was delicious.

One of the best things about this place? No waiting time. I stumbled upon this restaurant by chance, yesterday at night, and it instantly became one of my favorite in the city. The food is incredibly fresh—everything tastes like it was made just moments before it hit the table, and you have a lot of options on the menu. This morning I decided to walked in again around 10 am. I was greeted warmly, and seated right away. It’s rare to find a place in Ocean City that has no waiting time in the middle of the summer, especially during the breakfast, so we were extremely happy about that. The staff was friendly and attentive and super fast, and we got the food in like only 20 minutes! If you’re looking for a restaurant that serves fresh, delicious food without the usual weekend wait, this is it. Highly recommend!
