I was fortunate to visit this museum as a chaperone of an 8th grade field trip. They hosted 40 students and 10 adults. The VR experience was cool and highlighted an American Experience that is seldom talked about to most people. The work these ladies are doing holds more value that can be put into words. We were only able to follow the story through one city, if you have a few hours, this is a worth while stop for adults and children alike.

9/2024 4* I would love to say 5 stars. But it was closed. No signs or anything. Hard to rate it if its closed. I was very disappointed as this was a stop I was particularly interested in. Maybe in 10 years when I come down again, it will be open. I enjoyed the outside though as much as I could.

Google shows this museum was open so we drove to it and it was not, so disappointing because I really wanted to see it and we will not be back in springfield until next year

So very excited about this unique place telling our story learned so much today. This is such a neat place definitely need everyone to come check it out! It has continued to open my eyes to how Springfield continues to have a unique and special gift of impact on HISTORY ESPECIALLY Black History

The Tour was informative, the museum is small, but packed with a lot of historical information.

Nothing but an empty store front. Cute building though.
